   Peter swallows as he takes cautious steps through the halls, unsure of exactly WHERE he is. Darkness shrouds the Sanctum, and he has no way of telling which way is what, especially since he’s BARELY familiar with the place at all. At least he isn’t completely clueless-- his abilities allow him to see much better in the dark than others, which means he can navigate his way around. That doesn’t stop his senses from overloading, though, or the nerves bubbling up inside of him. 

   “Is that...music?” He says allowed, to himself, just to fill the area. The eerie quiet soon combined with haunting music makes him even more nervous as he listens to it-- he thinks it’s coming from the ballroom. What Peter DOESN’T expect is a response. He yelps, whipping his head around, exhaling quick. “I...I didn’t know someone else was here-”

        as one of the first android type being to join starfleet, lyra prided herself on making sure she was knowledgeable in all that she could. it was her job as a science officer to know what she could and be able to make conclusions about what they discovered out in space. most, if not all knew of spock. cheif science officer aboard uss enterprise. captain of uss enterprise for short time. creator of the kobayashi maru. distinguished graduate of starfleet academy. perhaps because of what happened to the planet vulcan, perhaps because of the uss enterprising often being the one to save the galaxy when a threat arises.

seeing him now, lyra is content with just observing him silently. lyra was often more in the background, even on the ship she was employed. it was upsetting,  but she had grown used to being able to observe from the background and not be questioned or even often seen.  her reports and her career was to help those back on her planet with the data she gathered. spock is doing his job, she doesn't wish to trouble him, so instead, lyra's gaze moves to look down to the data she had been reviewing, eyes scanning in quick motion to rapidly process the information.

 WELCOME TO THE ARTEMIS.

twenty two years ago, one of the major players in the los angeles crime world recruited a medical staff to oversee a hospital for their members. now, it’s exploded. criminals from all over the world have membership to the artemis and check in to be treated. there is one policy that rules the hotel: always follow the rules. abide by that and you will make it out alive ( an with your membership in tact ). break our rules and you will never be allowed back.  it’s  not  just  a  normal  wednesday  at  the  artemis  though. riots due to lack of clean water available have  forced many into the street  in protest. once out of the artemis, you may not make it back alive.

HERE ARE THE RULES OF THE HOTEL. 

1. no weapons. all members are scanned before their check in at the artemis and all weapons are removed from their possession. they will not be returned upon departure. don’t bring them in. 

2. you must be a member. anyone that is not a member will forcibly removed. 

3. medical staff are not to be touched. any physical action taken against the staff of the artemis will result in the deactivation of the membership of the individual(s) involved. 

4. use the codenames given to you upon arrival. no one will be referred to by their names. this is to secure the safety of all members and the staff. 

RULES FOR THE MEMBERS. 

1. no ooc drama. we are here to have fun and write together. any ooc drama will result in all parties being kicked. no questions asked. i will not have an unsafe environment for the members. 

2. no godmodding. this is pretty self explanatory. play your own character. that’s who you auditioned for. 

3. this verse is very chill so there won’t be any activity checks or things like that. the mod understands because she’s busy too. just try your best but don’t stress over it! 

4. if you have any problems, please come talk to me! i’d rather you come speak so i can help initiate some problem solving between writers than to have things get out of proportion. 

5. there will be a discord server available! so in the app where it says discord username, only include it if you want to be a member of the server! it can be for both ooc and ic interactions if writers wish. 

6. once you are accepted, please write a more in depth bio for your character. it does not have to be anything serious and really no more than one or two paragraphs. but writers will want to have some background considering this is an au verse. once completed, please tag our bio tag! Some puzzle pieces don't fit together, even though they may look it at first, but just that they don't go there doesn't mean that they're broken, worth less than the other pieces, or don't belong. Sometimes they might go to a whole other puzzle, but there is a puzzle where they belong and are being searched for. Build up your self-esteem, know your worth, and prepare to take risks. Life if full of them. But if you know who you are and that you're a worthy, important person, when things go wrong it's easier to bounce back. You're the only person that you're stuck with for the rest of your life, so you should love and value yourself more than anyone else. Take the time to get to know yourself and love yourself, and then go with the intent to get to know and love others. Not to validate yourself or prove that you're worth something. If your only intent is to get to know and love others, they'll get to know and love you in return, and even if things don't work out, you haven't failed.
