Thinking about how most of the time when you have the option to stay quiet during a companion quest you get approval for letting them handle it and sometimes even get disaproval for talking over them

And then with Shadowheart's quest speaking up with Viconia not only gives a +5(while *keep silent* gives nothing) but also if you don't do that she will look genuinely scared when Viconia asks you to hand her over

#girl just wants someone to love her and stand up for her😭#I've been choosing to stay silent for all my pt's since I'm so used to letting the companions handle their own quests #so I always get the scared look at Viconia's offer #which is heartbreaking but makes perfect sense #she's spent most of her life being used and abused by her caretakers whose love was so desperate for #of course when confronted with that trauma she's gonna have a moment of doubt in regards to the person she loves now #but turns out just standing up for her beforehand cuts that panic short!#anyway I just think it's a very interesting character detail that having someone vocally have her back #is more important than leading the confrontation herself #bg3 #shadowheart #also not to get overly self-indulgent #but you know that one poem about how to the author being butch means this feeling of chivalry towards other girls?#that feeling is part of why this romance works so well for me #Shadowheart isn't weak and she is the hero of her own story #but you do kinda get to be her knight in shining armor so to speak you know?#larian did a great job of balancing that with still making sure she has enough agency and stands on her own #and without ever making it feel like the romance is mainly geared towards men #I appreciate that

hottest take ever but the wisdom saga was Not That Good

#epic the musical #i feel insane for talking about this most people i know irl agree with me #its just so rushed and without a coherent story and just feels like set up for later sagas #the vocals didnt blend well with the music #it felt like Everyone was singing over eachother and it just had so many jump cuts in the music #it was just really jankey in my opinion i feel like it just needed a couple more weeks just to polish it up #epic the musical critical #epic the musical crit

(COUGHING UP BLOOD) WAIT IM NOT DONE YET do you guys ever think abt how the kh 2.5 hd remix of rage awakened has vocals in it. Like. Its (to my knowledge) the only "official"/in-game version of the track that uses vocals and theyre SO subtle they almost blend in with the rest of the instrumentation and ambience of the music but theyre There. What if you had a set of haunted hollowed out armor animated by a shattered fragment of its original owner's memories, a silent and lifeless and empty shell of metal and cloth, a weapon left behind by its wielder, trapped in a dead and abandoned world, stripped of anything organic like a heart or a Voice. And what if you gave it a song. And what if you gave that song the most human instrument there is

i am officially, FINALLY all caught up again in both the manga and the anime for bsd and OH BOY there are thoughts and opinions but also WHO CARES because my tags are finally FREE to be unfiltered

#hnnnnnn #i am SO happy #i am BEYOND happy #i love the arc even if i complain about it a lot #but i am also hnnnnnn…….displeased……..with a few things #the anime fr about to catch these hands #i already KNEW they were rushing it from the few episodes i had watched #but the anime is usually SO good at pacing #that i fully trusted that certain things would be slowed down for significance/impact/etc #but instead the pacing just stayed WAY too fast for me #and they ended up cutting SO many small moments that had SO much importance like im going crazy about some of them #some of the lines they cut…….#or even adjusted slightly that it drew away the impact #ugh i KNOW there was a LOT to balance and a LOT of content to get through #but i am a little disappointed that so many emotional scenes were what ended up suffering for it #this is why i don’t usually like reading the manga for animes i watch #i always end up getting disappointed by the limitations of adaptations #that being said though regardless of general limitations i don’t think some of the rushing is above criticism #and i am going to go and eat glass while seething over the particularly offensive rushing/cuts😤#OKAY DONE that’s the last i’ll say about it i would just go crazy if i didn’t vocalize it somewhere #in general i was VERY happy with the arc in both the manga and the anime i have SO much love for it #definitely a favorite for me #and THAT concludes my very vague no spoiler review #i swear one of these days my self control is going to snap #and im just going to start posting my full essays and content analysis shit about everything i watch here #but for now we’re safe and all my rants will stay spoiler free tag paragraphs instead godbless🙏

ok chat my friends r kinda unresponsive (dont care abt vsynth and tired of my bs) and both picked defoko over others and i ended up . not wanting to use her for this (sorry) (i will use her another time) so im asking here....... idk........ only 1 day long poll cause im going to be out all weekend starting friday morning so im sort of speedrunning the bulk of this. dont mind the default resampler for the previews ill pick a better one depending on which bank ends up being chosen

been really obsessed with inanimate sound source utauloids so i started experimenting and heres uh. some vowels? based off a cicada screaming. it sounds really bad <3

#the north america cicadas that just make a loud yell #i cut up a sample of that and used the aques VST vocalizer to make the vowel sounds #i also had to pitch it down a bit to help vocalizer deal with it LOL but its still pretty high pitched #i gotta tweak it a bunch especially with A and O. i have no idea whats going on with O #and if i wanna make the consonants ill have to start scouring other cicada sound samples and learn how to edit the spectro whatevers #which will be fun. im obsessed. this is so fun. the I E and U actually sound pretty good in my humble onion

Lowkey always thought that Ify felt a little slighted when Jacob completed the drive episode bc he felt it was *his* characters arc and that’s why he added the insane kill count during his DM moment

Like he left out Jacob initially on his first DM run and had to be reminded

Don’t get me wrong I don’t think this is like a form of bullying or genuine digs but I do think ify harboured a little hurt from that drive episode.

#overall I think it’s all still in the realms of gravy #but I do feel like ify was pushing a little to exact some control over the narrative that he felt he lost in earlier episodes #he did not seem enthused by Alex doing the same and ruining his ‘do u trust me’ moment #ally is very good at cutting tension tho #and Jacob seems to take very little to heart #as opposed to #Izzy lol #she was very vocal about not enjoying it #ngl tho there’s been a couple times when players get to override each other that I haven’t felt great about #dimension 20 #d20 nsbu #nsbu spoilers #never stop blowing up #I
