english jinriki utau is coming along!! hes based on a tts so he sounds kinda harsh and choppy (so im tuning him more robotically than i usually do). im actually enjoying working on his design. which is rare! so theres a wip of that too. his name is J, hes a decommissioned aquarium tour android. and hes just a little guy. he likes going to the beach and pointing out all the animal species he can find. hes not supposed to be able to sing And his vocal system is damaged, but he hangs out with androids who can sing and hes enamored with music so he tries his best

ok chat my friends r kinda unresponsive (dont care abt vsynth and tired of my bs) and both picked defoko over others and i ended up . not wanting to use her for this (sorry) (i will use her another time) so im asking here....... idk........ only 1 day long poll cause im going to be out all weekend starting friday morning so im sort of speedrunning the bulk of this. dont mind the default resampler for the previews ill pick a better one depending on which bank ends up being chosen

downloaded voisona and chis-a yesterday and have been messing with it today and uhhh i love her voice its so pretty. she reminds me of rosu, actually. it's a little hard to tune since cevio seems sorta limited in parameters and flat in overall tone but you can finagle it well enough. still learning idk there's really not a whole lot of public guides and tips for voisona yet and i dont know if there will ever be

art fight THREE DAYS AWAY and i have no new refs but i really wanna finish this cover UGH......... the covr itself is done but the art i think i wanna do is gonna take a lot of time. i dont rly like the idea of reusing the original MVs or doing just redraws of the og art either for when i do covers so i gotta rly think abt what im doing. and last time i ended up with 8 scrapped concepts. so im hoping this second idea im doing now works out LMAO

zundamon's utau is rly fun to use!! i'd use their neutrino bank or something else but i understand utau best. it's a really good bank, it's professionally recorded so you can get the modulation value up pretty high without it sounding bad

ya after using voisona i dont tjknk i like it a whole lot.. maybe its just that its a lot different from what im used to, but i like being able to brute-force most desired results at least in terms of phonemes, while voisona has like. a very particular way it wants to sing and fights you if you want anything else. i could not for the life of me figure out how to do smooth transitions between vowels and it hated having any consonants too close to each other (would either go silent or make a weird noise). i'm also not sure if it's the engine noise or what but there were some vowels that sounded really grating no matter the volume or settings, which Might be able to be fixed with EQing but i dont know enough about that to apply it here (that last cover wasnt EQed at all because everything i did made it worse somehow LMAO). oh this is gonna be an embarrassing post to look back on im so out of my depth
