i finished a cover w the utau i made while i was sick recently but i ended up feeling like his voice didnt fit the song. here's a snippet + a wip of his design! his name is requiem ill probably talk abt him in detail later

if anyone knows any songs that would work with a soft/inexpressive bank let me know!! his voice is pretty flat (both from the recordings and canonically for his character). mostly i just wanna show him off though lol he's fun

really short cover because i don't like working with songs without an official instrumental.. but i really really love this song and i could not do anything else until i got this out of my system. tuned it with my own vocals by ear as reference which was a lot of fun! yay

mix is brother-approved sooo im posting here. idk if ill just use the og video or do my own for the yt upload, i'm leaning towards the latter but that's gonna take a little bit. i now have 3 finished covers with no video helppp me

anyway d-lin is fun to tune! vocal mode usage for singing is a little less direct than with yuma, since for d-lin it's just low tone/mid tone/high tone/singing. lots of guessing. you can get soft high notes by using low tone. using his FTL i knew he had some strength to his voice but i'm pleasantly surprised by his power. uhhhmm i don't know why but he does have issues with like, clicking sounds sometimes. which despite being annoying kind of made my brain light up because with synthv being a more realistic/professional-oriented software than utau (my other favorite) it's kinda cool when there Are imperfections. you can hear the clicking if you listen really closely but it's not too bad. idk

finished a cover a few days ago but the video is gonna be a while since i gotta finish a commission and a couple requests before i can draw anything for it...... og mv has like 40 simple illustrations, i only wanna do like 10-ish, but every little thing takes me hourrsss because im a perfectionist and a slow worker. whatever. go my ghost son

mad about synthv2 not because itll probablyy cost money to upgrade but because this also happened with me buying vocaloid4 like a week before vocaloid5 was announced. I CANT TAKE ITTTTTT my timing is so BAD

no mixing just stereo mix recording. im manually tuning the harmonies and it's turning out to be worth it for sounding a little less flat. uhhhhhhh i've pretty much just gotta finish the tuning on the harmonies of the second chorus (and a few main track adjustments probably) and then im DONE. i really should have made a base midi i was like "oh i'll just do it all in-program this time, it'll be easy" WRONG. workflow disrupted i kept trying to tune when i didnt even have all the notes down. any way i like d-lin he can kinda yell
