I’m so glad Nintendo kept in Vivian being trans in the remake but it’s brought out the worst in the “anti-woke” crowd. She just straight up confirms it but these people plug their ears and go “lalala I can’t hear you it’s not real Nintendo doesn’t make gay/trans characters.”

Tony is from Earthbound, a game made back in 1994 AND IS CANONICALLY GAY

ohhh for sure without a doubt shes got emotions alright . for being so small , she does a pretty good job of not exploding due to the stress of it all, frankly.

i did explore how she would react a teensy bit in this post, but that was made before i wrote out the entire timeline/series of events of the whole au. now its clearer in my head that she definitely would absolutely Hate everything about the situation and would probably act really out of her normal character. irritable, not talking as much, shut off and secluded, the works.

but to be fair, it would impact all of them horribly. i cant imagine watching a really close friend of yours get eaten and then turned into a horrible beast once you go through all the trouble to revive them would really do much good for anyones psyche .. ^_^;

Vivian is in Camelot, she may as well work as a mage there. She fits the bill perfectly.

Monspeet's reincarnation is a knight of Camelot that serves under a Peril (could be Pelegarde). Why? Cause, ✨DRAMA✨

Rou is reincarnated with his memories so no matter what race he's born as Rou would always find his way back to the Fairy King's Forest, unless he's in Camelot. With that his only way out really is to be a chaos knight or get taken out by Anne and the others. I still want him to be a fairy though.

Having Derieri's reincarnation be a human would be interesting especially if the entire situation is explained which it definitely will. Arthur most likely would accept Thetis in Camelot just because she's human now despite her being Derieri of Purity of the Ten Commandments in her previous life. Arthur has already used Melascula and Galand for his own purposes and other relics and beings not from the human race, Arthur could even use Monspeet to lure her into Camelot (I don't think she'll fall for it she's too smart for that)

Chaos Gloxinia could be a thing. Fairies don't decompose so there's a chance that Arthur has his corpse. That'll be fun.

I want a Tournament Arc. No particular reason, I just want one.

Chion reprimanding Tristan would honestly be a cool moment. It would show how serious the situation is by making Chion of all people do it and would also show a growth within Chion's character even just a small bit.

It’s time for me to share this idea I once had

Back in 2023 I was very fixated on odyssey and thousand year door and my favorite characters were Vivian, Cappy and Tiara

And then I had an idea where they would meet and then it made me think “What if I made them siblings” basically Cappy and Tiara have Vivian be part of their family

Basically Vivian becomes their sister

(This was just an idea I had I thought sounded cute tho I was scared to share it because I thought I’d get made fun of so I never shared it here)

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is one of my favourite Gamecube games, and the fact that a new generation of fans can experience it in an absolutely stunning remake for the Switch makes me very happy indeed.

But what makes me even happier than that is that Vivian is finally, officially trans. Because it would have been so, SO easy for them to have not committed to that. They could have swept it all under the rug, pretend it didn't exist for the sake of being "faithful" to the original translation, or not to alienate certain groups of "Gamers", and the average fan probably wouldn't have batted an eyelid. Worse, they could have made it into a joke, an afterthought, or a punchline.

But they didn't do that. And now we have a playable transgender character in a freaking Mario game, who is treated with the weight and respect and dignity that should be afforded to everyone as standard. But then there's also this... normalcy around it, I want to say? Like, it's brought up, and... that's it. Like it's the most normal thing in the world. No patronising fanfare or anything. It's just something that's said, and then the game moves on.

And that's huge, because it doesn't reduce Vivian, who is very popular in her own right, to just being the "Trans one" of the team. She's just Vivian, and she's awesome. And that's exactly how it should be <3

just finished Fear the Spotlight! its the type horror game that doesnt really rely on jumpscares and more relies on its sound design and atmosphere. the story was really cool to uncover. the puzzles werent too difficult and the female leads were great. game was surprisingly endearing in a way and its honestly a great entry point for newcomers dipping their toes in the horror genre!

Fear the Spotlight and Crow Country are both great for new players! theyre also bundled together on steam too! highly recommend!
