Suika’s decision to look like a small creature seems to purely be for the sake of flexing.

She’s one of the strongest fighters in Gensokyo, she could beat 90% of the cast in a fistfight without even trying and she has a neverending appetite for alcohol (with an immortal liver to boot). All while being as short as a kappa and bone-thin. I think she enjoys fucking with people who underestimate her more than anything.

Headcanon about Shou x Nazrin is that Shou has perfectly weaponized snuggling as a bribe to get Nazrin to actually help around the temple. Nazrin used to be more food-motivated, but moving closer to civilization means food is less of an effort to get so she needs a different kind of motivation to directly pitch in.

That rat is NOT achieving nirvana.

I feel like Kanako would be the type to try and start an MLM out of the Moriya Shrine just for the attention it’d bring. Suwako wouldn’t give a shit as usual, and Sanae would probably go along with it but with a clear sense of dread, like she knows a Fantasy Seal to the face is imminent.
