One minute video can be watched on Instagram or Tiktok.
If you’re looking to combat post acne hyperpigmentation, vitamin C products like these two are a great place to start. I’ve also found that when I remember to use Vitamin C consistently, it tends to also help keep my acne under control. I think that’s just because the ingredient agrees with my skin. Even though my skin is overly sensitive, it can handle vitamin C really well. The easiest way to prevent hyperpigmentation is also going to be using SPF, so I loved seeing a product that incorporated both sun protection and Vitamin C. Both products feature a light citrus scent (lemon and lime were especially evident to my nose), and I didn’t feel like it smelled like cleaning supplies if that makes sense? I forgot to say in the video, but I love how both of these are in opaque packaging, which helps the vitamin C last better than it would in a clear bottle.
I know a lot of you were curious about this SPF after I posted texture shots to my story the other week. I didn’t get to test it in the sun because I’ve been really busy (and mostly indoors), but I think a lot of people forget that you need to re-apply every two hours for these sun serums to work properly. I did still try it out multiple times, and I really loved this formula. It looks like it could be sticky, but it didn’t feel sticky to me. When it was blended out, it felt similar to a lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t feel like I had to add a moisturizer on top of it, and I think that’s thanks to hyaluronic acid in the formula. It also features niacinamide which is another great ingredient that helps with hyperpigmentation. As for the serum, it’s incredibly lightweight and I think it would be good for multiple skin types. I highly recommend both of these products!
Products can be bought on YesStyle or Stylevana.

Beauty Parlour Near Me: Your Ultimate Guide to Finding the Perfect Salon
In today’s fast-paced world, self-care is more than just a luxury; it’s a necessity. One of the most popular ways to indulge in some much-needed self-care is by visiting a beauty parlour. Whether you’re looking for a quick haircut, a rejuvenating facial, or a complete makeover, finding the right beauty parlour near me is essential. But with so many options available, how do you choose the perfect one? This guide will help you navigate the process of finding the best beauty parlour that meets all your needs.
Understanding Your Needs
The first step in finding the perfect beauty parlour is understanding what you’re looking for. Are you in need of a simple service like a haircut or manicure, or are you seeking more specialized treatments like skin care, hair color, or bridal makeup? Some parlours are known for their expertise in certain areas, so identifying your needs can help narrow down your options.
If you’re looking for routine services, most local beauty parlours should suffice. However, for more advanced treatments such as laser hair removal or anti-aging facials, it’s crucial to find a parlour that specializes in those services with trained professionals and the latest technology.
Location and Convenience
When searching for a “beauty parlour near me,” location is a key factor. A parlour that is conveniently located can save you time and make it easier to fit beauty treatments into your busy schedule. Consider how close the parlour is to your home, workplace, or other frequently visited locations. Additionally, check their hours of operation to ensure they align with your availability.
Many beauty parlours also offer mobile services, bringing the salon experience to your doorstep. This option is particularly popular for events like weddings or for individuals who prefer the convenience and comfort of receiving services at home.
Word-of-mouth recommendations can also be invaluable. Ask friends, family, or colleagues for their suggestions. Personal experiences often provide insights that online reviews cannot, such as the friendliness of the staff or the ambiance of the parlour.
Services and Expertise
Not all beauty parlours offer the same range of services. Some focus exclusively on hair care, while others might provide a full suite of beauty treatments, including skin care, nail services, and makeup application. It’s important to choose a parlour that offers the specific services you need, performed by skilled professionals.
When evaluating a beauty parlour, consider the qualifications and experience of the staff. Are they certified and trained in the latest techniques? Do they stay updated with industry trends? Parlours that invest in continuous education and training for their staff are more likely to provide high-quality services.
Hygiene and Safety
In today’s health-conscious environment, hygiene and safety are paramount. When visiting a beauty parlour, observe their cleanliness standards. Are the tools and equipment sanitized between clients? Is the environment tidy and well-maintained? A parlour that prioritizes hygiene is more likely to ensure your safety and well-being.
Pricing and Packages
Price is often a deciding factor when choosing a beauty parlour. While it’s important to find services that fit within your budget, remember that quality often comes at a price. Don’t be tempted to choose a parlour solely based on low prices, as this could compromise the quality of the service.
Many beauty parlours offer package deals or membership programs that provide better value for money. If you plan on becoming a regular client, it’s worth inquiring about these options.

The Role Of Vitamin C Serum For Oily Skin In Reducing Acne And Blemishes
A vitamin C treatment is something that would work for many people with skin problems such as acne since it can diminish both redness and hyperpigmentation. To what extent, however, does vitamin C serum work for acne? Since vitamin C serum for oily skin has anti-inflammatory benefits, it also helps in decreasing the redness which is a feature of acne. When applied externally, especially on the face, it can reduce the size and appearance of sores and pimples, acne scar. Here are some helpful tips on how to utilize vitamin C serum effectively for the greatest results if you have oily skin.
Recognizing Oily Skin Issues and dealing with the most effective vitamin c serum
Oily skin presents a challenge in management since it holds debris, dead skin cells and excess sebum which block pores and cause acne. Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant and is known chemically as ascorbic acid, which is present in fruits and vegetables. Thus, it is possible, apart from consuming the vitamin and having flawless skin since the human body cannot synthesize vitamin C. Applying the most effective vitamin c serum in addition to normal skincare will protect skin and repair the damages that come with oily skin.
Excessive production of sebum by oily skin types makes them seem glossy and makes them more vulnerable to bacteria and debris entering through larger pores. When applied topically, vitamin C improves the lipid barrier of the skin, moisturizes skin cells, and controls the generation of sebum. This reduces acne formation and sensitivities.
Why investing in vitamin C serum for acne should not be dismissed
Due to vitamin C’s promotion of skin cell turnover and collagen production, acne scars and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation will be reduced or disappear in the long run, while the complexion will steadily improve. Further, here are some positive changes you can see with vitamin c serum for acne.
Vitamin C Diminishes Skin Discoloration
Vitamin C could make the sun exposure or acne-related dark patches lighter; hyperpigmentation is the term used to refer to these patches as they are caused by an enhancement in melanin production. This is because vitamin C has been known to interfere with the action of an enzyme known as tyrosinase that is responsible for producing melanin hence assisting in elimination of the dark spots for an even skin tone.
Vitamin C Heals Acne Wounds
Acne scars occur when the skin does not heal properly after a breakout of acne. Two factors defining scarring involve genetics and the severity of the acne. Additionally, vitamin c serum for dry skin and oily skin stimulates the synthesis of collagen and aids in reducing scar tissue production. In this regard, it is essential to observe certain precautions particularly for those with sensitive skin
Minimising inflammation in connection with Acne
Acne due to hormones, genetics or Cutibacterium acnes which cause skin breakouts leads to redness and inflammation. Some of the effects of vitamin C include fighting inflammation, which may be helpful in reducing this inflammation.
Mistakes that can Aggrevate oily skin
Oily skin can be managed, but if it keeps worsening despite your routine, you might be making mistakes. Know your mistakes that you need to avoid in future for better skin.
Washing Face Often
The first skincare mistake is washing your face using water and soap more than twice a day. This is something that is common with people who have oily skins. The skin also increases oil production if washed too often or using products such as soaps that strip the skin of its natural moisturizers. Instead, wash your face twice a day with mild cleansers which contain tea tree oil or salicylic acid.
Stop Using Moisturizer
This is a common misconception because usually people with the oily skin never moisturize their skin because it produces oil on its own. To your information, you know if you don’t apply any lotion on your skin it becomes dry and as a result creates oil. To hydrate without introducing more oil into the skin, use an oil-free lotion or cream that includes glycerin or hyaluronic acid.
Excessive Exfoliation
Exfoliating is important, but too much exfoliation might remove too much oil, which makes your skin generate more. To prevent drying out your skin, limit your weekly exfoliation to once or twice a week using mild scrubs or chemical exfoliants containing glycolic or salicylic acid.
Using Oil-Based Creams
Moisturizers with an oil component may aggravate oily skin by blocking pores. They upset the equilibrium of the skin by forming a thick coating. Use moisturizers with gel or water bases that are suited for oily skin instead. L-ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, found in serums, can also help control oiliness.
Tumblr media
Using vitamin C serum without becoming irritated or breaking out
Acne is not brought on by or made worse by vitamin C; rather, discomfort from high doses might be an issue. To avoid this, here are smart ways to use the best vitamin c serum for sensitive skin correctly without making your skin condition worse.
Focus on concentration and form with a lower concentration of vitamin C, around 10%, to avoid irritation. Apply every other day and gradually increase to daily use.
Choose THD ascorbate, a milder version that is more suited for skin prone to acne, in place of L-ascorbic acid.
Combining the appropriate components—Vitamin A derivatives, such as retinoids or retinols, are excellent for treating acne. They boost cell turnover and reduce clogged pores. Consult your dermatologist about adding them.
Don't mix vitamin C with benzoyl peroxide. It can oxidize the hyper vitamin c serum, making it less effective for your skin.
Don't forget about storing it correctly-Choose vitamin C in dark bottles to prevent it from breaking down. Light straw color indicates it's still effective; yellow or brown means it's not.
Vitamin C absorption depends on its pH level. For normal skin, choose a low pH of around 3.5. For sensitive or oily skin, use a formula with a pH of 5 to 6 to avoid irritation.
How to pair vitamin C serum with sunscreen for optimal results on oily skin?
Many believe that moisturizing oily skin makes it greasier, but using the right products can hydrate without clogging pores. Vitamin C is ideal for oily skin as it draws moisture to skin cells, reducing sebum production. It strengthens the skin barrier, boosts water retention, and speeds up cell renewal, diminishing acne and breakouts. Vitamin C also combats pore-clogging bacteria, reducing breakout risks. Apply your vitamin C serum before moisturizer, oil, and sunscreen due to its smaller molecule size, ensuring it absorbs effectively and enhances your skincare routine's effectiveness.
Conclusion
Vitamin C and products containing it are generally safe for skincare. It's wise to patch-test before use. Strong antioxidant vitamin C prevents inflammation, darkens skin, and fights free radicals, all of which contribute to the treatment of acne. Consult a dermatologist if you have any negative side effects. Consider trying Phyto C skincare products to target your specific skin goals.

Product Review: Banish Serum – Dark Spot Corrector Vitamin C Serum
Tumblr media
An oil or serum for a skincare product? Why not?
For my second blog post this year, I’ve decided to write a review about another skincare product from Banish which is the Banish Serum – Dark Spot Corrector Vitamin C Serum.

Formerly known as theBanish Oil, this product is a glycerin based Vitamin C Serum. This product is made fresh daily. This serum’s no longer effective once it has turned yellow/orange or has oxidized. The Vitamin C Serum has a PH level of 3 to 4 and can penetrate into the skin without disrupting its barrier.

This serum has several benefits to the skin such as: collagen boost, works as a dark spot corrector, adds a natural dewy glow to skin and a lot more. The Banish Serum is stabilized with ferulic acid.
Ingredients found in this serum The Banish Serum contains key ingredients such as vegetable glycerin, aqua, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) extract, 100% L-ascorbic acid, ferulic acid , natural rose extract and many more.
How To Use The Banish Serum

Review of elmt’s Pure Vitamin C 20% Element
elmt is a Korean brand that was designed by a group of researchers. They’ve taken high-quality ingredients to reimagine the best possible skincare solutions. Their new Pure Vitamin C 20% Element serum is designed as a waterless formula to help capture the potency of 20% pure vitamin C. It's also clinically proven to non-irritating to sensitive skin. Key ingredients include 20% of ascorbic acid (vitamin C; antioxidant, treats UV damage, brightening, fades hyperpigmentation, prevents skin sagging), ferulic acid (antioxidant, protects skin integrity, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, anti-inflammatory), glyceryl glucoside (composed of glucose and glycerin, helps draw moisture to the skin, ensures balanced hydration, prevents dehydration) and apricot kernel oil (nourishing, decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and radiance). This product retails for between $38-45 USD, you can get it here on sale for $38.25 + shipping. Use code DANNIEL15 to save a further 15 percent.
Ingredients
Propanediol, Ascorbic Acid (20%), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Candida Bombicola/Glucose /Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Glyceryl Glucoside, AmmoniumAcryloyldimethyltaurate /VP Copolymer, Panthenol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polyquaternium-10, Ferulic Acid
To quickly note, I received this for free from Wishtrend for my honest review.
Tumblr media
The serum contains 30 ml (1.01 oz) and has a naturally acidic scent to it.
Tumblr media
The packaging is a very nice and hard plastic with a pump.
Tumblr media
The serum itself is not too dense but it isn't super lightweight either.
Tumblr media
The serum has a very creamy smooth texture.
Tumblr media
Once blended out, it almost has a rich, even kind of oily finish and it's very warming on contact with the skin. It does start to tingle a bit, I noticed a bit of zinging feeling in my skin but it goes away very quickly.
Recommended use is after your PM cleansing, apply 1-2 pumps at the last step of your skincare. Use alone, or mix with a water-based toner or cream. For morning use, finish with sunscreen. Before using, it's recommended to do a patch test first if you have sensitive skin because of the vitamin C content. It's also recommended to apply to damp skin as ascorbic acid activates with water for the most efficacy. Additional uses for this product are to use as a revitalizing night mask, apply on damp skin and follow up with serum and moisturizer. And in order to mix with other products (which is my personal preference), use a water-based toner or serum and then finish with your favorite moisturizer. Lastly, it's most recommended to use within 3 months of opening and store in a cool area away from sunlight to maintain its potency. It's fragrance-free and actually recommended for sensitive skin. After using, the first thing to note is this is different from any vitamin C serum or product that I've previously used. The fact that it's actually recommended for people with sensitive skin really stands out, of course, everyone's skin is different so please do a patch test especially if you have very very sensitive skin that reacts to most things. I prefer to apply vitamin C serums after doing sheet masks before bed so I just made sure to mist my skin with a watery facial mist to refresh my skin after the mask dries down and then I applied the solution to my skin. As it's blended out, it feels very silky and it does definitely give a warming sensation to the skin. I did feel almost little pinpricks on some of my skin but it based really fast and I didn't notice any redness or major irritation, my skin also felt much more moisturized and it does a good job of evening out skin tone. This is a great product for people with dry skin as I felt it really nourished and added moisture to the skin with the other products I use normally. I'd recommend this to anyone personally, but as with all products, test it first to be safe.
What I like: this product has such an amazingly silky and moisturizing texture. It also doesn't have any artificial fragrance and it's surprisingly gentle and non-irritating. I feel like it does a great job of correcting skin tone issues and really makes the skin radiant and more moisturized. What I don't like: while I had no problems with the tingling/pinprick feeling that happened for about 10 seconds, this could really irritate your skin if you're not careful.
Pros:
Brightening
Evens out skin tone
Moisturizing
Nourishing
Very rich
Silky, creamy texture
Designed to sensitive skin friendly
Cons:
A slight tingling/prickly feeling
Could be a major irritant
Would I buy this?
Yes, definitely it's my favorite vitamin C product.
Rating: 10/10

Products gifted for free by Pacifica in exchange for my honest reviews. Caption taken from my Instagram:
So excited to show off these products in my video reviews to you all soon! I especially loved the serum! (Taken from my reviews) I really like that this Glow Baby serum combines Vitamin C with glycolic acid, because exfoliating also helps with dark spots and a more even skintone while helping with skin cell turnover. Normally I don’t mix Vitamin C with other acids like this serum does, but when the ingredients are formulated to compliment one another (like with this product), my sensitive skin can handle it. As for the texture and smell of the product, the texture is water-like/incredibly lightweight, and it does feature parfum as an ingredient. The texture absorbs super easily without making your skin feel tacky. So if you’re looking for fragrance free options, this won’t be the one for you. I did find that the scent wasn’t overpowering, and I’m sensitive to fragranced skincare. It is a light citrus scent with a hint of vanilla (it smells sweet and citrusy at the same time).
On to the glow drops: Key ingredients that I noticed were vitamin c, glycolic acid, and kakadu plum. If you are like me and hadn’t heard of that last ingredient, it is meant to have anti inflammatory properties, so this should be safe to use in acne prone skin. Speaking of, vitamin c helps with uneven skin tone (if you’re like me it can help either redness left behind by acne) and glycolic acid is a gentle exfoliator that can help with dead skin buildup (which can lead to acne). So I think this is a good option for multiple skin types. I am someone who gets acne, and has super sensitive and often dry leaning skin, and this product worked well for me.
Lastly, I did notice a light scent to it. Reading on the brand website, it does say the scent comes from essential oils. To me, it smelled like creamsicle ice cream, a mixture of sweet vanilla and orange citrus. I definitely would recommend these to others as it is a nice and affordable option.
