CARAMOLUMEN (Intro)

Denizens of a little spec bio headworld I’m picking at. They’re land bound penguins that filter feed air through specialized crests (Don’t ask how that works yet I have no clue). They’re extremely complex socially and in terms of communication but struggle with long term memory, they patch up the gaps with complex perfumes, re triggering memories by olfactory association! Their movement is very slow and gliding, this is difficult to maintain but it is a purposeful locomotion. They can knuckle walk or shuffle but it’s considered very lowly and crude to others, balance and poise is key. Their arms also just aren’t especially strong, they’re only really used for specific fine tasks so they’re not often exercised in the ways they need. They can hold their breath for quite a while, a lingering lung capacity from penguins like relatives. It’s not an ability often used but they do hold their breath in churches, more a factor of not wanting to contaminate a special space or take in knowledge (Scents) not allowed to them. They do have architecture and tools, because of their specific body structure the larger structures they live in are constructed with the help / use of other species they live with.

whether or not its bad for my hair i will be washing it everyday no matter how many stinky ass white people at work tell me its better to wash once a week

well I ruled out any poisonous species and decided to have a very small Taste of foraged mushroom. as usual, if i suddenly stop posting, i got owned by some mushroom. Sad!

#silly storie #specifically ruled out veiled poisonpie because it had been raining and none of the mushrooms i found had a slimy/oily texture #also did a chew & spit test beforehand and there was no bitterness which seems to narrow things down more #after cooking i would describe the flavor as 'nutty' and my mom said it was somewhat sweet #(yes i informed my mom of any potential risk. shes just into this too. im not trying to kill my mom. Sorry)#obligatory Dont try this at home. Dont ingest random mushrooms. Consult an expert etc etc

it's so wild to me that. like i do not like dogs. they're just not for me. I usually politely tolerate them and I think puppies are cute and all but I would not ever own a dog. EXCEPT. my parents dog rockne. I don't know what it is. like whenever im hanging out w him i understand what people see in dogs for one brief moment. he's such a good boy.

#genuinely i think its the texture of their fur. most dogs ive met have that oily/filmy fur #where they leave a gross smelly film on your hands after you pet them #rockne feels. his fur feels almost synthetic. like the texture of fur on a faux fur pillow at target in 2007.#and he isnt stinky because he HAS to get bathed regularly bc of his breed.#and beyond that hes just a very calm and affectionate pubby. i love him.#carly.txt

what I do mean: people shouldn't have to live in such fear of aging or having "imperfect" skin that they never go outside, never make facial expressions, and spend thousands on skin care products. they shouldn't be shamed out of a life that does not revolve around the appearance of their skin, ever

what I do not mean: you can never find joy in taking care of yourself and you can never have little spa days where you pamper your skin bc it feels good
