Me and my childrens 1 of them, he is10 years old with downsyndrom and need a safer place and health care to still a live, left our home under the continuous bombardment and artillery strikes, on foot, without carrying with us our personal supplies, clothes, or Even our money, heading from Gaza to Deir al-Balah. There in Deir al-Balah we lived the most difficult days of our lives in a shelter with scarce resources, sleeping on the ground.
Without covers, without drinking a healthy water, then we moved to Khan Yunis after the intensification of the strikes and bombing, Then we moved to Rafah in the hope that we would find safety there or find a way out of Gaza to a safe place that we dream of for the future of our children,Let us live a happy, safe life for us and our children, and keep them away from all this pain, destruction, and siege, and spare them from the miserable future that will await them if the situation continues as it is in Gaza.
I come to you with a heavy heart and an urgent call for help. My family are currently caught in the war in Gaza, facing the harsh reality of an escalating crisis. The situation is dire, and I am reaching out for your support to facilitate their safe passage to Egypt. In this moment of desperation, I share the situation where it has taken a toll on their well-being.
This urgent plea is not only for their safety but also for the health of my son, who is facing serious conditions that demand immediate attention.

Time is of the essence, and we are in a race against it to get him the vital medication and care he desperately needs.
My loved childrens are in a situation beyond their control. The fear in their eyes and the desperation in their hearts are indescribable. I implore you to be a beacon of hope for them, to be the force that guides them to safety. To be honest, the journey to safety comes with a significant financial burden.
We need the money to cover practical costs of transportation, documentation, a place to stay and shelter in and other essentials required for a safe crossing to Egypt. And so that they can take care of other needs once they cross safely. As of late April the evacuation fee ranges between $8,000 and $10,000 per person, before processing and transport fees, and we will pay the higher end of the range since Hayde doesn't have passport. Me and my family asking for 50,000$ based on the following breakdown: an evacuation fee at the Egyptian border of $8,000 - $10,000 per person , $4500 - $5000 per children as each day there is a different price for evacuation fee at the Egyptian border, plus a processing fee of $2,000 per person, $2,000 for transportation, and a 2.9% commission fee.
Any amount raised beyond the total will be used to supplement me & my family lives as refugees in Egypt. Your donation, no matter how small, will make an impact. You will be contributing to getting my family to safety. The funds will be used transparently and every dollar will go towards securing our evacuation.

Let’s All Eat Right Day is celebrated on February 25 each year, as it marks the birthday of Adelle Davis, a famous nutritionist, author, and game-changer in the nutrition movement throughout the 1900s. So we’re here to put a face to some of the integral contributions in nutrition as a field. You have probably heard it said — “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper” — well, this wise adage can be credited to Davis herself.
History of Let's All Eat Right Day
As important to human beings as air and water, and in some ways one might argue that food tops the list because it can affect us in ways beyond just the physical. Food can change your mood, speak to your very soul, and make a difference in your self-perception. Thus on some level, we all want to eat right and are open to making changes that may bring us to good health. So it is only fitting that there be a day to celebrate eating right, which will hopefully put us all on a lifelong path of developing a healthier relationship with our food.
Nutrition itself has been around as long as humans have, however, it was not until 400 B.C. that the Greek physician Hippocrates observed the impact food has on physical health, especially when it came to the prevention and cure of illness. The ancient world foods used for medicinal properties (such as using garlic to cure stomach ailments) and the birth of nutritional science itself is fairly recent. It began with the discovery of vitamins, which were synthesized and their effects on disease studied. The name ‘vitamin’ is derived from the words ‘vital’ and ‘amine,’ coined by Dr. Casimir Funk in 1912. The onset of World War I caused widespread fear of food shortages and forced nutritional scientists to focus on food as a preventative for diseases. Hence the first Recommended Dietary Allowances (R.D.A.s) were issued around this time. Since then, nutritional science has been a burgeoning field of study, and none of us are untouched by it.
While it is not known when exactly Let’s All Eat Right Day was initially celebrated, we know it falls on the birthday of Adelle Davis as a way of honoring her work and the legacy she left. With bestselling books like “Let’s Eat Right to Keep Fit” (1954) and “Let’s Cook it Right” (1947), Davis’ research and publications had a huge impact on the everyday American consumer; even with her fair share of controversy. Her focus was on championing whole foods over processed foods with additives and advocating for the importance of taking nutritional supplements to help prevent disease and potentially other social ills. The early 1900s was a time when vitamins were introduced, and the concept of their value as dietary supplements was on the rise. It created a new niche in the market for health products backed by science. In October 1994 Congress approved the Dietary and Supplement Health and Education Act to regulate standards of nutritional supplements.

“Drink this please, my lady,” The doctor passed you a small vial from a nearby table that Naoya had watched him brew and mix not long before. Naoya made sure he was in the room when anything you were ingesting was being prepared, thanks to Emi.
You frowned in response, turning your nose up in disgust. Every time you met with this doctor; he had a brew ready for you at the end of his physical. An herbal tea that was infused with extra nutrients and supplements that were supposed to assist with the development of the baby.
He was forced to travel in the snow from a neighboring village to be here. To check your vitals and to reassure Naoya Zenin that his wife, carrying his child was healthy.
It was always disgusting, and bitter. And every single time you had trouble keeping the concoction down. Holding the vial in the palm of your hand, you instinctively looked over to Naoya who was standing at the foot of the bed.

You swallowed thickly in preparation and lifted the vial to your lips to drink it down all in one gulp, focusing all your attention on keeping it down. Once it was gone, the doctor took the vial from you and put it away with the rest of his instruments.
He began packing up and glanced in Naoya’s direction while he spoke.
“Everything seems to be coming along. Unfortunately, we won’t know much more until she is further along. You could see Naoya’s brows draw together in a tight knot and felt his hand drop from your back while he stood silently in thought. He seemed troubled at the fact that you felt ill, maybe he felt about his insistence for this medley from the doctor.

Emi sat up abruptly, the thick blanket she had been wrapped in falling from her frail form. She looked terrified, unsure of how to respond. She hadn’t faced Naoya since he returned from the campaign. Did Naoya mean to have her killed?
“Execution?” Emi’s voice wavered substantially, unsure of what to make of the admission. “Naoya-sama is going to have me killed...?”
She paused again, her gaze falling to the dirty cobbled stone floor beneath her. She whimpered incoherently, tears falling down the stretch of her dirty face.
“I didn’t mean for any of this to happen Toji-sama! Please you must let me explain that to Naoya-sama!” Emi begged, turning her gaze back to Toji.
“Oh, there is something you can do to win back Naoya’s favor, perhaps then he won’t kill you,”
Emi perked up at Toji’s suggestion grasping at the iron bars of her cell. She was desperate, so desperate that he could taste it. This woman would do anything to win Naoya’s favor, oh, and perhaps not to end up impaled through a pike.
“I’ll do it, I’ll do whatever you need me to do, I promise,” Emi wailed, bowing her head in complete and utter submission.
Toji stood up bringing the lantern with him. He smiled slowly, canines glistening against the red of his lantern.
“Good... you only have this one chance to redeem yourself,” Toji watched as Emi got to her feet her small hands still clasped around the metal bars. “If you’re unsuccessful, I'll kill you myself,”
Emi nodded profusely, bringing her gaze back to Toji’s verdant eyes. He snickered under her gaze, his eyes flashing a deep red before he fished out something from his trouser pocket.
Emi held her hand out expectantly and watched as Toji placed something small wrapped in burlap in her palm. Whatever it was, it was obscured from her view and wouldn’t be revealed until it was unraveled.
“This is your key to freedom... don’t fuck this up, got it?”

I did find apothecary diaries manga, am gonna end up reading for a while, but it is absolutely giving me that itch to create a court system with like. Multiple different class structures and stuff. Because I understand apothecary diaries is about a fictional not-China kinda setup since it’s like. Not based on a real Emperor and real consorts but inspired by historical fiction to make an interesting story about a girl who is a lady in waiting to a consort of the Emperor. But also a skilled Apothecary/pharmacist and medical care provider. And kind of a botanist but when it comes to the more Chinese influenced medicine I think it really overlaps but I’m very ignorant about a lot of Chinese medicines because it’s been really undervalued here. Which really makes it more interesting to learn about it ‘cause like… a majority of modern medicine is adapted from natural medicine so it’s like. Just finding the chemical compounds that causes the reaction and doing advanced chemistry that I don’t understand because I didn’t pass grade 12 chemistry even let alone going into university and doing pharmacy sciences, so it’s all connected and important.
Natural and chemical is the same thing half the time. I’m just too fuckin stupid to understand it. And Chinese herbs aren’t local so i don’t know what they do. There’s a plantain herb here that’s not a very large banana that my mom’s made into a really good pain relief cream, same with turmeric, that’s really good for inflammation too. And they don’t make my eyes burn like menthol so it’s good for the jaw pain I get. I might have th wrong name for the plantain herb. My mom grows it but most people pluck it like a weed and throw it out. Honestly same with camomile up here, it grows wild like a weed. And dandelions have a lot of herbal properties. I think they make a really good anti-itch cream… though that might be the camomile. Most of this stuff my mom’s been making. I haven’t been as involved ‘cause I haven’t been as active. But there’s really cool stuff with really good properties. I’m just. Local to northern Canada. So I know different herbs.
All that to say this series is my jam and the episode where she has to deal with convincing well meaning but ignorant busybodies the correct ways to care for a bedridden sick person is really cathartic. Like honestly just “hey you have to feed a sick person food they can actually digest and not ‘health food’” was like. My struggle with convincing people I needed to eat the right food so that I had enough energy to digest more complex food instead of just having it run through me or having my body reject it. Like having people force me to eat “healthy” high fibre food when my body literally didn’t have enough energy to digest it so I just passed it and therefore gained no energy from the food and became sicker was so frustrating because then they would get mad at me for not eating something nutritional when what I needed was something calorically dense just so that I could have the energy to digest something with nutrition. You need energy to digest food. That’s how people can starve while eating. That’s one of the key signs of malnutrition. If you have green diarrhea or you have a child with green diarrhea, it’s because the food is not getting digested and it might be like. Because the body doesn’t have enough calories to digest the food getting eaten. That’s why recovering from a starvation event it is important to start slow and eat carb and fat dense meals and ease into fibres, supplement the vitamins with medication. It’s difficult. Rice and bread are stables because We Need Carbs To Live. Carbs give us the energy to digest the rest of our food. Fats give us the energy to live. They are vital to our existence.

i mean this in the gentlest way possible: you need to eat vegetables. you need to become comfortable with doing so. i do not care if you are a picky eater because of autism (hi, i used to be this person!), you need to find at least some vegetables you can eat. find a different way to prepare them. chances are you would like a vegetable you hate if you prepared it in a stew or roasted it with seasoning or included it as an ingredient in a recipe. just. please start eating better. potatoes and corn are not sufficient vegetables for a healthy diet.

Can not overstate the importance of sunshine. Even 5-10 minutes once a week is enough to keep a particularly red-head pale person (me) going for another week. Vitamin D plays SO MANY ROLES in your body, among them mood and other hormone regulation. Depression is aided by sunlight because sometimes you are depressed, and sometimes you are (more) depressed because you have a crippling vitamin deficiency that supplements will not correct.
Because cholecalciferol, the metabolite of vitamin D found in fish and supplements, can be very poorly absorbed by some people’s guts, particularly if they lack certain bacteria.
And while it’s tempting to think of vitamins like little individual puzzle pieces, they’re more like dominoes. If you lack one, you lack others. If you lack those, you then lack this mineral. Lacking this mineral makes it very hard for your body to use this other vitamin. And so on so forth — and at the very crux of these? Fat soluble vitamins, A, D and E.
An example of the cascading effect above: the D-iron pipeline. Lack of vitamin D causes the body to not process vitamin C. When the body is deficient in vitamin C, it can’t store iron, but also can’t retrieve it. All the iron locked away in your liver and spleen depend on vitamin C to unlock it. The body CAN use other metabolites to force this process, but none are as efficient, which leads to anemia, which makes you quite generically ill and lethargic.
Another is the cholesterol-E relationship; your blood vessels are Made Of cholesterol. Now, your body CAN synthesise cholesterol, of course, but it can’t do that without tocopherol (vitamin E). A litttttle bit of tocopherol goes a loooooong way, but nonetheless it is something the body doesn’t synthesize on its own, unlike vitamin D. So you need to either eat animal fats or nuts in order to obtain it.
Vitamin A is also like this, except that we are graciously omnivorous and can convert beta-carotene into retinol (vitamin A). So far more plant based alternatives, though our bodies still have a much easier time with plain old retinol from the connective tissues and fats in animals. Retinol is famously important for skin health, but it also regulates your immune system far MORE than vitamin C does.
But the real kicker? You can not properly store vitamin A without sufficient vitamin D. And you can not properly utilise vitamin D if you don’t have enough vitamin E.
To say nothing at all of the relationship between vitamin D and the B complex, which your nervous system (like your brain) depends on to function. Lack of niacin or folate is particularly dangerous, though it’s nigh impossible to be deficient in those if you eat grain or plant seeds of any kind with any consistency. B6 affects memory recall and the frontal lobe most, and B12 is the primary driver of glucose metabolism in…well, probably most your body. Brain, spine, muscles, organs, etc. AND you can not synthesize proteins without enough B6 or B12 that are vital for plasma production.
All this to say: it doesn’t hurt to go outside! If you’re light skinned A 5 inch square piece of skin exposed for 20 minutes a week will keep a pro athlete healthy. If you’re less active or have a slower metabolism, you could need as little as 20 minutes a month. (Yay for European/north Asian genes!)
If you’re darker, then you’ll need more exposure, and if “black” then you’ll need that exposure increased by a factor of about five to ten depending on how dark. But it’s a good rule of thumb that just having your face or forearms exposed to uvB for a short time can really build up reserves of vitamin D that make depression considerably more bearable for some people.
That’s not even getting into the psychology of seeing the sun, clouds, trees and weather, though it is related — still, I’ll let someone else explain that.
