Technology Meets Organics (part 2)

(A Slammer Sonic & Contaminated au story)

This is a crossover between my sonic.exe au Slammer Sonic and @sonicexelle-junkary horror Sonic au Contaminated Sonic.

Contaminated, Sonic took its time to process the information this strange visitor had told it. One thing they knew was that Slammer was correct in one regard: it couldn't infect machines, and the worms infesting this mechanical body weren't organic, yet they worked like they were.

It slowly just circled around Slammer Metal, getting up close and personal, ominously just dragging its fingers across the shoulder of the robotic body, noticing one worm that slithered across the body. It picked one up and rubbed it in-between its fingers; it felt slimy and yet metallic.

The worm wiggled in Contaminated Sonic's hand, circling around its fingers and just crawling around, but did not move closer, just choosing to stay in the infected hedgehog's hand. After a few moments, Contaminated let the worm go back into the host's body.

and after a few moments of silence, it finally spoke to the other virus.

"Curious... Very Curious... SQL Slammer Worm, you differ from anything we have ever encountered. Your ability to act as fascinates us if you are organic, yet you remain completely technological."

"We are the Contaminated, and we have been around for a very long time, though only in recent times have we come to know our own host in Sonic The Hedgehog's body. Though anyone we infect becomes our host, we like to consider Sonic The Hedgehog our main one."

Metal Slammer slowly monitored the Contaminated as it picked up one of Slammer's worms and inspected it. Metal Slammer could feel everything the worm felt, and to a small degree, it felt strange.

Slammer then took time to process the infected word's creating a dial-up noise, and instead of an eye in the middle of the Metal Slammer Sonic, he had two on his hands, which he lifted to look at Contaminated Sonic, which showed two buffing circles slowly spinning.

His eyes stayed like this for a few minutes. Neither virus really knew how to react to each other; they didn't know the limits of each other's powers.

Although Slammer rarely cared for organic life, he always found a fascination with viruses and parasites. Maybe it was because they both shared things in common where they could destroy whatever something connected them to.

Slammer could completely disable a machine, and Contaminated could completely kill its host and remain in control, not to mention they could have as many hosts as they wanted but still prefer one host over another.

Soon enough, Slammer stopped buffering and finally replied.

"You are like me; we both wish to spread and grow stronger; you do it via completely organic means; I do it through code and manipulating creatures within children's games; and well, we both prefer Sonic as our main host, yet we could take anyone we want."

Contaminated rubbed its chin as it took in the computer virus's words. The virus had a point; they shared things in common, not to mention the worm's way of assimilating new mass. Well, it was pleased by what it saw Slammer do to Charmey in a way.

"We believe you are correct in a lot of ways about SQL Slammer worm... You show promise, and we must say you are almost as interesting to us as Shadow The Hedgehog. You show intelligence beyond your age. You came to us in a non-organic body; you have clearly done your research on us."

Slammer Metal Sonic took time to think again, but it didn't take as long as last time, as the worms soon crawled from his eye sockets and formed a lightbulb over his own head before it fell apart and all the worms wiggled their way back inside.

"I will H.E.L. P you assimilate this world completely. I am one of many Slammer we do sometimes make deals with other viruses, and I do not see the issue of joining one with you." Slammer Metal Sonic tapped his clawed hand against a nearby palm tree slowly as it slowly thought it out and planned.

"My greatest weakness is being unable to affect the real world, but if we combine our strengths, it should erase some of our weaknesses... We can focus on taking over machines, and then once we've consumed all there is, we could venture through the screen and truly make..."

"OURSELF GOD."

The contaminated thought long and hard about this; it would be interesting to learn about this REAL WORLD the computer virus mentioned, but it wasn't quite done with this world yet, so it declined the offer for now but had some plans.

"We are pleased by this offer, and we will take time to consider it. We truly could become beyond god if we teamed up, but until dawn strikes and the moon falls one last time... We aren't done here, and we thus cannot join you."

"However, we might roll the dice and decide our fate. You are an interesting hive mind, SQL Slammer Worm, and we can appreciate a big thinker and someone like you." We are glad you do not want to cross us, and we, in turn, will not pull a Judas, as it were, on you."

"We can pull the power of this world on its knees on our own, for we are god here, but we look forward to becoming something beyond godship, something that Jesus Christ himself would WEEP at."

Slammer Metal Sonic's face cracked open, twisting, breaking, and shifting before they left a large smile on his face in a disturbing manner. Soon, he held out his hand.

"To becoming one."

The contaminated nodded as well before shaking the metallic clawed hands with an iron grip.

"To becoming the one true and final life form."

Every time I talk to a DB fan who doesn't know or doesn't agree that the whole franchise is an adventure comedy first and an action series second I feel insane but then I find an old Toriyama interview,

You made some comedic scenes where you have minor villains Pilaf & co. appear; how did you come up with a balance between laughs and fierce battles? Do you pay attention to the difference between comedy and battle in making a work “entertaining”?

I believe that, when you combine comedy and serious battles, both of them might come alive even more. As for me personally, though, I much prefer drawing dumb jokes to battle scenes.

as a bonus, every time I'm like 'idk I didn't really like most of the DBZ movies prior to Yo Son Goku and Friends Return and BotG,' and get the 'whAAaaT they're so gOOD' (from my brother, tbh askdjs) but they all seemed really Action-Drama and About the Fight Scenes and I'm like 'meh kinda boring tbh' I get to gaze upon,

In the latest movie, Toriyama-san, you participated in the production from the scriptwriting stage for the first time. What is the reason for that? Was there anything you noticed in coming face-to-face with the work after so long?

I was told about a project for Dragon Ball in its first animated film in a long while, and I read the story outline; while the beings “Beerus, God of Destruction” and “Super Saiyan God” (which goes above Super Saiyan) were interesting, the themes were heavy, and I felt that the world was a bit different from Dragon Ball. Rather than telling them about this or that problematic spot, I thought it would be faster if I just wrote it out concretely, and while I had intended just to give them a model―”for example”―my hand wouldn’t stop, and ultimately, I ended up writing almost everything, including the dialogue. I am reflecting on the fact that I did something terribly rude to the scriptwriter.

Technology Meets Organics (part 1)

(A Slammer Sonic & Contaminated au story)

This is a crossover between my sonic.exe au Slammer Sonic and @sonicexelle-junkary horror Sonic au Contaminated Sonic.

One of the new copies of the Slammer virus found itself on a new PC. It quickly integrated itself into the PC and searched through the data and absorb what wasn't important and what wouldn't be noticed. That is when the computer virus noticed some documentation about a strange biological virus known as the (contamination), and not just that this other virus was in a very familiar world to the virus.

This new information piqued the interest of the Slammer copy, and it dug in and read somewhat quickly about how the (contamination) functions and how it spreads. Slammer knew what they had to do.

They found a way into this world where the other virus was being stored through a gateway on the PC, and after a quick search in the universe code, the Slammer virus found its ideal host. It quickly wiggled in its worm form through an air vent and made its way into Dr. Eggman's laboratory, moving throughout the base until it found what it wanted.

The worm slowly crawled up the leg of the machine known as Metal Sonic; the robot didn't even notice he was just in sleep mode, which made Slammer's body invasion even more simple, squirming into the hole in the middle of Metal's chest, after which Slammer integrated its own code into Metal Sonic. It took no time at all as it devoured and assimilated all the unnecessary code inside the machine.

Then it made copies of itself, spreading through Metal Sonic's body until it completely made the machine its permeant host. Now Metal Slammer Sonic's body changed colour, matching the colour scheme of Slammer Prime, which is cyan blue, and his shoes are a golden colour. This body was much easier to control because of its being technological in nature, so Metal Slammer Sonic had no issue getting used to his new powers.

After assimilation was complete, Metal Slammer Sonic shot through the barricaded door of the labatory and performed an area scan, searching for any signs of life at top speeds. He found a few flicky and quickly sent worms into their bodies; they were quick to turn into nothing but bone. Few new worms were made, but enough for now.

Metal Slammer Sonic continued to hover in the air and perform more area scans, and soon stumbled across his first mobian victim. Although it would be a bit of a fight because it knew this host wasn't trusted by most mobians, it knew it had the power to take this boy down. The boy was Charmy Bee, and with a quick boost in power, he sped towards him.

Charmy didn't take long to notice and dodged out of the way as Metal Slammer slammed into the ground. Charmy just looked at what he thought was Metal Sonic, confused.

"Woah, woah, hey, we're no longer enemies. I barely made it away from my former friends and teammates. We've got a bigger threat to face now, Metal! Has Eggman not updated you about that weird virus going around or something? I was just heading to his base, since it's the safest area."

Charmy looked curiously at the robot, noticing his different paint job, and buzzed around, getting close as Slammer Metal Sonic stopped in place with beeps and boops.

"What's with the new paint? What the boss thought he'd confuse you for the real Sonic or something? Hehehehe, I can't say I blame him after what Sonic has become thanks to whatever this thing is. I wouldn't want to get confused, either."

Metal Slammer Sonic took in the information closely, deciding to just listen and wait for the perfect moment to strike, as meanwhile Charmy just sighed, struggling to stay happy. He didn't even know why he was trying to hide his emotions; it's not like Metal Sonic cared.

The poor kid was about to start crying; he had just lost Espio and Vector, but he rubbed the tears from his eyes as he noticed a worm crawling out of one of Metal Sonic's eyes and got very close to him.

"Woah, been playing in the dirt or somethin Metal? Hehehe, the wormies seem to like you!"

Once close enough, Slammer Metal grabbed onto him, doing a quick scan just to see if the contamination was already inside the bee. But it wasn't. Charmy wasn't infected, so Slammer Metal took this as an invitation and dug his metal claws into the boy's back quickly.

Charmy screamed in pain, buzzing loudly, and tried to attack Metal Sonic with his stinger as he looked angrily at the robot.

"Hey, what GIVES? Jeez, get off me, you dumb machine. Wait... Is that? No, no hurry, get off!"

Charmy struggled, panicked, as he wasn't strong enough to get free, but he also noticed something in the distance; it was Sonic as Slammer Metal. Sonic dug his claws deep into Charmy's skin. He kept a tight grip, and soon enough, some worms wiggled from the robot's claws and inside the bee's body.

The Slammer worms quickly made their way to Charmy's spine, severing his connection to the rest of his body and paralysing the boy completely as he fell limp to the ground, when Slammer Metal Sonic's claws dropped him.

Slammer Metal was watching the fear in Charmy's eyes as his insides were slowly filled with eggs and devoured by worms. And while that happened, Sonic, or rather Contaminated, watched this from a distance, curiously turning its head.

The infected hedgehog didn't quite know what was going on; all it knew was that it was trying to find Charmy because, knowing the bee got away from its newest hosts, Vector and Espio, it just tapped its foot up and down, somewhat fascinated by the display before it.

Slammer Metal soon detected the Contaminated behind him, though he had no real ability to speak, not yet beyond beeps and boops, so he waited, feeling the whole process of the worms devouring and multiplying inside Charmy's body at alarming speeds.

Since this copy of Slammer was made directly from Slammer Prime, he could assimilate organics slightly faster into more code worms, and that is exactly what he did, taking only 20 minutes before they left only bones on the boy's body.

Once the process was complete, all the worms flooded inside Slammer Metal Sonic's body through any hole in the body the host had, and after just a few more minutes, Slammer Metal finally turned completely around and tapped his metal neck a few times. He slowly updated his systems, and a message appeared across his eyes.

(Organic to technological update complete.)

Now Slammer Metal fully noticed the Contaminated Sonic, and it took a few seconds before the computer virus was able to speak in what sounded like a slightly distorted and robotic version of Charmy's voice.

"Hello, fellow virus. I am the SQL Slammer Virus, a computer virus able to adapt to any environment. I am but one of many copies of the virus, and I discovered a way into your world because I found myself curious about you. I took this host as my body after studying what information there is about you."

"I decided it would be more adaptable to focus more on my technological aspects so I could meet you and not risk my host body being infected."

Would you write anything with/about Spider-man 2099? 👀

This ask made me scroll back in my blog and go, "Wait did I actually write the entire manifesto on why Miguel is a communist icon because I thought I had refrained from that."

I'm 95% sure that I did, in fact, refrain from explaining why there are only two good superhero media (The Incredible Hulk 1977 and Spider-man 2099) because they are the only two truly socialist superhero media. I must have mentioned that I fucking loved Spider-man 2099 somewhere. Because I fucking do. Miguel is THE character of all time. I love Spider-Man, I love characters who are COMPLETE DICKS, I love guys who just kinda wanna go home and sleep.

I absolutely would write something for him, I fucking love that guy. I haven't had a really solid idea yet, one that would make a story that would get off the ground, but if the stars align then hell yeah. Miguel is the perfect superhero because he never once tries to stop anybody from robbing a bank, committing a crime, disturbing the peace, etc. He will only ever do anything helpful if it fucks over Cyberpunk Dystopia Evil Corp, because he hates them, or if his brother nags him to do something about systematic oppression. Over the course of all of Spider-Man 2099 he stops ONE mugging. Because a cop was mugging a woman. So he could beat up the cop. Character of ALL TIME.

....this isn't a story idea but I was absolutely joking about hypothetically:

imagining one of those tepid-ass mcu spider-man fanfic where there's a class field trip to stark industies or something and peter's outed as Tony Stark's Baby Son Boy, of which there are literally 500 and every one is exactly the same I don't read mcu peter fanfic anyway

except he just opens the door to an abandoned wet lab to see miguel electrocuting a rat or something

peter is fucking convinced dr ohara is a mad scientist stealing starktech genetic secrets. tony doesn't listen because he thinks peters feelings are just hurt after miguel called him the saltine cracker of nepotism. miguel is, of course, stealing starktech time travel technology. meanwhile a guy in a black spider suit is firebombing the NYPD

miguel assumes that the richer and more important you are, the more evil you are. faced with involuntary time travel, he is operating under his standard MO of finding the most evil corporation in the tristate area and looking them up on glassdoor. working under this assumption, miguel assumes itll be too much work to go ahead and kill tony stark in the name of the proletariat but he does slowly sabotage their entire genetics division.

I just realized I had been slightly depressed for months, but I also realized I had been depressed for no reason for months. I talked with a friend that I thought was to busy with life for me and it turns out she thought the same thing of me. I also found out in the same breath that a mutual friend that moved states that I thought stopped talking to me because I thought I hurt him in some way, well turns out he just lost my info and they have been talking about how much they miss me for months. None of us have ever done or said anything bad to each other and yet we've done everything bad to each other by thinking the worst because of ourselves...
