August Eric Clapton Released November 24 1986 Considered to be Clapton's "comeback" album, it produced the number one hit "It's In The Way That You Use It", which was also used in the movie soundtrack "The Color of Money".  This album was mostly produced by Phil Collins and has Tina Turner sharing vocals in the songs "Tearing Us Apart" and "Hold On".   Each year I've become more and more of a Clapton fan.  I do own a good number of records from him and I have not yet fully listened to all of them.  What I have heard already, I've liked. Slippery When Wet Bon Jovi Released August 18 1986 If there is one rock album in the 80's that seemed to be playing everywhere it was Slippery When Wet.  When this album came out it was Bon Jovi insanity.  I remember a friend of mine in high school even sported that Bon Jovi long hair (will not give out names but his initials are B.A.M.)  Never got to see them play in concert which would have been cool to see Richie jam on the guitar.   Tonight I'm dedicating this record spin to Cindy Lockwood Miller.  She is and always will be the biggest Bon Jovi fan that I know of.  In high school she was the most school spirited person I know.  Now she is in the arms of our Lord. Side One Let It Rock You Give Love A Bad Name - number 1 on the Top 10 Billboard Charts Livin' On A Prayer - Also reached number 1 on the Top 10 Billboard Charts Social Disease Wanted Dead Or Alive - My favorite and most likely everyone's favorite track on the album. Blackout Scorpions Released March 22 1982 This album "Blackout" is a landmark album for me.  If you love heavy metal guitar leads, you cannot do better than dual lead guitars from Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs.  This is their 8th studio album, interesting fact Don Dokken is credited with backing vocals.   Side One Blackout - This song is the reason why there are 2 lead guitars in the band, love the left and right channel separation! Can't Live Without You - Guitar chugging rhythm, great song No One Like You - Absolute classic song! Always been on every Heavy Mix tape I've ever made!  You Give Me All I Need - I consider this a great rock acoustic / electric ballad.   Now! - Used to speed skate to this song at the "Skatin Place" back in high school on a friday night, only problem was that I used the pony walls on the side to come to a sudden stop! Side Two Dynamite - Fast pace song, love the drumming Arizona - Guitars sound great with headphones!
