smaller request, but who do you reckon will do the chores around the house - who would cook, who would do dishes, who would make the bed, would any of them try and keep the apartment clean?

and also how would they cope with their factories, hypothetically being in 3 different countries (kimi in UK, ollie in Italy and idk reader in Austria with stake or smth)

okay this is definitely something i could do with like. all of the drivers. because usually the answer would be that they are not allowed anywhere near the kitchen (and some of them would definitely forget to separate laundry. you have several sets of bedsheets that are now pink). i'm gonna split this into house chores + factories.

house chores:

kimi cooks for lunch and dinner. he takes it very seriously. he is, however, totally useless at breakfast foods. breakfast is either leftovers, toast, or cereal. you and ollie do the dishes together while kimi sits on the counter and watches you. otherwise, kimi keeps the kitchen clean and organized.

ollie does the vacuuming / mopping / dusting / whatever. he blasts whatever pop song is stuck in his head on full volume on repeat and dances around while he does it. you and kimi take videos of it for each other. the songs may become annoying after a while, but ollie never does. he cleans the living room and the hallway.

you do the laundry. last time either of your boyfriends tried, it didn't go well. ollie made one of your team shirts unwearable because it was in another team's colours. kimi put way too much detergent in and caused a sudsy mess. you wash and fold it, but they put it away. you keep the laundry and bathrooms clean.

the bedroom is more of a mixing pot. you're each responsible for putting your own things away. the bed is constantly unmade. there is a mountain of stuffed animals on it that need to be very carefully moved onto the dressers before you go to sleep. there's also spare blankets for when one of you inevitably steals all the covers.

factories:

i actually looked it up and the haas factory and mercedes factory are like a fifteen minute drive away from each other, but for the sake of this they're based in italy and reader drives for sauber.

so, with kimi in the uk, ollie in italy, and you in switzerland, it can be hard for the three of you to get time together. there are lots of video calls and group streaming sessions as date nights. i imagine a little later in your careers you'd all move to monaco together or something. but for now, it takes a lot of planning and negotiating with teams about which meetings it's really important that you're there in person for.

it's hard, it's complicated, and the shared google calendar is constantly in overdrive, but you make it work. at the end of the day, you have each other, and that's all that matters.

esteban thoughts? especially in regards to his dynamic with vinnie (romantic or otherwise) cause its so funny to me and i love it

Well well well, those two have my heart and mind right now.

Yeah, all thoughts I have about Esteban circulate around Vinnie anyway, so that will sure be the center point of all this.

I just love it because it's the only relationship I can imagine for Vinnie where he does not have his cherishing his partner/friend quality because while he genuinely likes Esteban he's also consistently pissed with him.

You know the stuff with how I think about Esteban: he met the main 7 one day, lied to them about his adventures, Vinnie was the only one who decided to check this "viral" legend only to confirm his suspicions but was unable to tell the rest of them and then at the end of the day Esteban did something brave (but honestly idk what that could be in human au :/) and Vinnie promised not to reveal his secret, so like in the episode. Except that the way I think about it after a while Vinnie was like "You know what? Actually I'm not fine with this, the guy lied about something so big!" but... he has already promised he would not tell. And let me tell you, when Vinnie makes a serious promise he will not break it. So what do we end up with? Vinnie who does like Esteban, yes, but also is upset with him about something he can't tell anyone.

Which results in him acting really tsundere-ish with Esteban. And if we're talking about him getting a crush on Esteban? Oh boy, it'd be even worse! He almost doesn't care if there's a possibility Esteban feels the same, quite frankly he'd rather he didn't so he can hopefully get over this and just forget. And then it turns out Esteban does in fact feel the same and Vinnie reluctantly starts a romantic relationship with him. And God he's not having a good time. But also he does. He's conflicted and he hates it. The way he always was he gets obsessed, if he were to have a boyfriend he wanted to cherish him and love him, breakfast in bed kinda stuff. But with Esteban he just... can't. He wants to, but he is also mad. Some part of him genuinely hates or at least dislikes Esteban for that one thing, he just can't let go of disliking his lying habits (the hypocrite- then again Vinnie does not lie about things like that or for praise).

And let me tell you, everyone else is so confused. Vinnie does not act like that with anyone else, let alone some he calls his friend/boyfriend. Sure, he can be teasy, poking some fun every now and then, but if he likes someone then you can tell for sure he does. And if he hates or dislikes someone else he's open about it too. And here's that contradiction, he says he likes Esteban, but then there's that tsundere-ish attitude and sometimes he really looks like he wants to kill him.

Esteban had no idea at first. As far as he was concerned Vinnie told him they were fine, and looked very genuine while doing so (and yeah, at the time Vinnie really was) and especially at first when Vinnie realized he was still upset he tried to hide it, especially from Esteban. Until he gradually stopped, mostly. Esteban was confused a little but at the same he thought maybe that was just their dynamic so he kinda embraced it, treating it with a laugh and a wink. Honestly maybe that's what Vinnie found so attractive about him. He likes being teased oop. He's still pissed but his love is growing and dang it he needs that man's lips on his-.

One and only kinda enemies to lovers ship I can accept. Except that Vinnie is the only one who sees it this way.

In short: Vinnie: >:( Esteban: :). That's their thing

letting out a sigh of relief, you slipped off your shoes and tossed your bag onto a nearby bench, your coat along with it; just happy to be home after a long, gruesome day. the sound of soft strumming instantly relaxed you, knowing your sweet vinnie was just one room away.

you quietly tiptoed down the hallway, not wanting to interrupt the melody vin had been piecing together slowly but beautifully over the last few days.

you remained in the doorway for a moment taking in the sight of your beloved boyfriend smiling contently as he found the right chord, completely unaware of your presence. even in just an old pair of plaid pajama pants and his go-to white tank top, he looked simply radiant. his hair cascading over his eyes, a little long but just the way you like it. his tattoos peeking out from underneath his shirt, the wings inked across his back reminding you he truly was an angel sent to you from heaven above.

"it's coming along nicely," you hummed, walking over to where vinnie sat relaxed on your shared bed. "you're gonna be a rockstar one day, you know."

he smirked, pulling you to sit close beside him. "yeah? you think so?"

you nodded your head in response as you leaned against vinnie's shoulder, finally feeling your body relax from his comforting touch. vinnie instinctively pressed a chaste kiss to your forehead causing a sigh to escape your lips. "play me something?" you practically begged, needing the distraction.

"anything for you, my love."

vinnie knew you like the back of his hand. he could tell you had a rough day at work; the bags under your eyes and coffee stained shirt telltale signs of a stress-filled day. but he also could tell you weren't ready to talk about it quite yet. so being the amazing boyfriend he was, he didn't press you on it and instead began plucking at the strings of the guitar in his lap to what you soon recognized to be the tune of your favorite song, something he'd secretly been practicing just for a moment like this.

as he peered down at you, he finally saw the soft smile he'd been missing adorn your face as you quietly hummed along to the music.

he continued playing random melodies for as long as his fingers could take, waiting until he noticed your eyelids had begun fluttering shut and your breathing had slowed before he stopped.

placing the guitar gently to the ground, vinnie pulled the duvet to cover both you and him as he mumbled a quiet "i love you", holding you close all night long.

i was and am absolutely sick and floored that i couldn’t find a single drag queen jamie headcanon or design. i, frankly, absolutely despise designing things, especially fashion, so i grit my teeth and went into agony to deliver this concept.

seriously, how can you not look at this kid and go “a DRAAAG QUEEN???” anyways…here’s my design notes

if i’m referring to jamie in his drag persona, i’ll be using she/her pronouns as is customary with drag queens. and forgive me for any historical or chinese errors; i cannot read or write chinese i can only speak it, and my buddy vinnie stopped answering my questions after a while.

tentative drag name: xiao long bao—yun and yang are known as the white dragon (bai long) and blue dragon (lan long) respectively, but jamie’s title is a pun: “dragon” or “long” is the title, but the entire word “xiao long bao” jsut means soup dumpling. and that’s fitting to me as a nickname for jamie, but imo, it’s not a good drag name. it’s cute and it’s fitting, but it’s not vogue, it’s not a performance name. PLEASE GIVE ME IDEAS IM BEGGING YOU

jamie really seems to like having chinese inspirations in his normalwear, so it made sense to me to have his drag persona be very inspired by hanfu (i believe this is uhhh tang dynasty; the one focused on very ornate patterns with the cross-body robes and emphasis on a waistline; though normally every chinese character pulls from song-dynasty tradition). since i’m not very imaginative, this look was pulled straight from Guangzong drag queen Yuhua Hamasaki

in that traditional chinese hairstyle, jamie has 4 loops in the back with the crown and 4 major pieces of clothing, and with every swig, the loop gets untied and a piece of clothing gets taken off (numbered in order of taken off) the top of the clothes is a zhiju (2, 直裾), dark purple with a reddish iridescent pattern, with a the red xiapei (霞帔) scarf on top. it’s tied with a “horse face skirt”—mamianqun (1, 马面裙) —giving that very long dress/skirt sillohette. underneath that is a jinru (3, 晋襦), another cross-body but shorter robe that’s red and hides the typical drag queen bodysuit (4) that she can then breakdance in.

i debated the logistics of breakdancing in drag heels, but turns out elektra fence has done it on drag race before so. i don’t need to justify its plausibility.

the other two designs are kind of jokes; i’ve (against my will) been forced to see that darkstalkers felicia jamie mod, and i think it’d be a really cool if this actually was a drag thing of his, especially with my hc that yang kind of treats jamie like a beloved stray cat. and felicia’s a performer and singer; i’m sure he could do it. i did adapt some things from felicia’s design; instead of an actual tail (or even a prop one)—which could fuck up jamie’s breakdancing routine—she ties her hair at the end, where it’s dyed white to act as a “tail.” i also hope you enjoy the paw high heel concepts i came up with.

i like jttw, it’s probably my favorite legend of all time and i blame sun wukong for 40% of my personality. but quan yin is absolute fucking mother, and we must pay tribute, so like with his usual routine, jamie strips and reveals the lotus dress underneath her robes.

yun and yang are surprisingly supportive of jamie’s drag hobby, and they’re willing to participate in performances or just show up to support; hence, i think they open up the quan yin act with a fight between sun wukong (yun) and the liu er mihou (yang) before jamie comes in and breaks up the fight by distinguishing the two. the reason for yang’s pensive expression is that, because sun wukong and liu er mihou look exactly alike, then yang has to look like yun, something he despises. would require heavy convincing, but i think he’d eventually budge.

i think jamie’s drag attitude (and attitude in general) reminds me a lot of wesley snipes—an actor typically in hypermasculine action films, who played a very flamboyant drag queen. i’m referencing his role as noxemma jackson in “to wong foo” of course; everything about snipes as noxemma absolutely reeks of jamie, and i could see this being a major inspiration and influence for him

i thought a bit about jamie on rupaul’s drag race, and i concluded that he would fucking hate it. drag queens are viscous, and jamie’s good at quipping insults back, but he’s also used to being able to throw hands afterwards. i can imagine he’d say things like “even the most aggressive, dangerous street fighter cannot match the viciousness of these girls.” i also think he would not like rupaul because rupaul is racist and the judges don’t like cultural performances.

ah yes. the lesbian fucking love drag queens. drag in general—they show the fuck up. jamie in drag would summon every dyke with a 50 mile radius immediately, tips and drinks in hand to be given.

anyways, someone please tell me i’m not insane for this idea that is totally canon, peer reviewed, no notes.
