Have you guys ever seen a flock of ducks flying in perfect formation? It's beautiful. Pretty awesome the way they all stick together. Ducks never say die. Ever seen a duck fight? No way. Why? Because the other animals are afraid. They know that if they mess with one duck, they gotta deal with the whole flock.

Born to drug addicted parents, Dante's childhood was anything but normal. While his parents went about their lives, he was often pushed to the side and yelled at for no reason and his needs were never properly attended to.

While they did not physically abuse their children, Dante was often punished by verbal insults and would get his toys and instruments broken for disturbing his parents when company was in the house.

By the age of five, Dante was pretty used to being on his own and only relied on his parents for food and water. It was during this time that both his parents overdosed in their living room leaving a clueless Dante to fend for himself for two entire days before he was found by his grandparents.

By then Dante had been starving and nearing death while holding onto his mother's stiff body.

After being rescued, he was in the custody of his grandparents who did everything in their power to provide him with the best life that they could and gave him more love than he'd ever felt before.

His pawpaw and mawmaw brought him up to believe in fairytales and happy endings. To love others like he wants to be loves, and to be someone that he can be proud of.

Learning music was something that proved to be second nature for Dante. He learned quickly and excelled in every instrument that he touched. It didn't take long for his grandparents to push his musical career forwards by enrolling him in the best of schools, and paying for the best of teachers for him.

By the time he turned fifteen, Dante was offered a full scholarship to Berklee School of Music where he quickly took the music industry by storm and began his alternative rock band and traveled the world.

His tour went on for years until his grandmother passed away and he called it quits. Quickly returning home to care for his grandfather, and settling into Marina for good.

This was also the time when his abilities became more apparent. His entire life he had been able to feel what others felt, but Dante was able to drown it all out with his music. Now that he no longer performed he began to train his powers so that they wouldn't take over and consume him.

The name sounded familiar within the elders, and when an envelope from their grandfather Vincent arrived, Charles had to make Tatiana an ultimatum: or she broke up with Olga, or she’d be disowned. When she asked why, the secret came out and Tatiana had to give Olga up. 

Until well into her 60s, Tatiana decided to run away to Montpellier, where Olga was, begged for her fogiveness and to marry her, and they did. Her niece had to disown her as well and Tatiana was never seen again, and her relationship with her relatives is null.

BACKSTORY

Tatiana Primrose Somerset was born on the 20th of April, 1956 by Lawrence and Millicent Somerset, and grew up in luxury, though she wasn’t thrilled about the lifestyle. She soon began dressing and acting tomboy, and was thus sorted into Gryffindor, something that didn’t happen since her great-grandfather Malcolm Stolberg-Burke. 

At the age of 26, she fell in love with Olga Renaux and striked a relationship with her. When she told her brother, he wasn’t as thrilled as she thought, and when he gave her the ultimatum and reason of why, she felt trapped, not making her own mind up until three months, when she tearfully gave Olga up and lived for decades rejecting everyone and being always angry, becoming a heart-breaker and rebelling. 

When she was 66, she decided that she didn’t want to die alone, and thus she located Olga and travelled to Montpellier, where they spent three wonderful months before she proposed and they married there. Her grand-niece had no option but to disown her. She’s currently alive and living in Montpellier with Olga. 

MISC

She was the first female Somerset to attend university, getting three degrees: law, political sciences and sports. 

She speaks several languages, speaking nearly 10 

She was older than the Marauders and always competed with them, and was horrified to see what happened to them 

She decided not to wear the Winbourne jewels and give them to her sister Meghan, who became a perfect lady in her stead 

She won several championships of horseback riding and fencing, winning over 50 medals over 18 years. She retired at 30. 

She openly came out as lesbian in a ball and many refused to acknowledge her, which was freeing for her.

I enjoyed it, in short. Satisfying sports story, a solid message, decent humour and a serviceable cast. Emilio Estevez is fine in the role of Gordon, he’s definitely the best actor on display here. The numerous child actors are all alright, Shaun Weiss (Goldberg) is the one who stands out in my memory most. A nice little film about a local, youth ice hockey team, one for the family.
