Sweeping away his competition with a constant lead and a final victory by 22%, Shen (Yuan) Qingqiu has officially beaten Qi Rong and been crowned the MXTX character that was/would be most insufferable if given access to the internet!

In the end, it turns out that this whole elaborate tournament was for naught. Even Qi Rong, the man voted more annoying that 63 other characters, cannot hold a candle to the sheer degree of insufferable that we know our dear Peerless Cucumber was and would be. Absolutely nobody can compare to Shen Yuan's canon keyboard warrior antics.

Thank you all for joining me on this journey! I hope everyone had fun voting in this tournament, as I know I had a lot of fun running things and watching everyone's hot takes. Shen Yuan may have rendered all but the very final round of voting moot with his sheer loveable obnoxiousness, but maybe the real most insufferable people online are the friends we made along the way :).

Look, i know that Shen Yuan died a virgin and while he had no sexual experience he canonly kissed before getting with Luo Binghe, but do y'all know what would be hysterical in my opinion? If Shen Yuan had a gaggle of ex girlfriends he left behind when he died. Now, you may be wondering, what's so hysterical about that? Well, for one, it just tinkles me pink to think that the same guy who indirectly died from how angry a webnovel he dedicated a great amount of time commenting on made him actually got/could get bitches but decided that verbally abusing Airplane over his shit writting sounded more fun. I also think that knowing the system he'd at some point fall victim to some type of plant or curse that'd force him to name all of his ex lovers out loud unless he wished to die while the rest of the sect watches. Can y'all imagine Yue QingYuan, Luo Binghe, Liu Qingge and fucking Airplane's faces while he's there naming "Yu YaoYao, Mei Ling, Jiang Qin, Fei Liao" plus who else with a pained look on his face while trying to guess if middle school and internet relationships also count??? Plus, i just know he rationalized any lack of sexual thoughts he had towards his exes with "Well, i can't think sexually of a woman who's not my wife, that'd be disrespectful"

realized a drawing i'm doing rn is almost identically posed to one i did 8.5 years ago of a different oc, except the old drawing was instantly tainted by one of the players featured messaging me asking if i could take it down because their abusive, possessive rp partner saw it and got jealous of them "roleplaying behind their back" and i said "nah" and it became a whole Thing that i should have walked away from at that exact moment but didn't and the 6 months that followed contained some of the most truly condensed batshit i have ever witnessed in an rp community already well-known for its batshittery.

What makes Discord the best MLP character for me is exactly his chaotic nature. His haters would be like "oh he was still an asshole even after being reformed", like, that's the point??? Bro has to unlearn 1000 years of selfish, self-destructive behaviour AND his loneliness. He is a creature of chaos, his magic is normal and natural for him, but for other ponies it is hostile and weird, Discord is seeing as "the other" throught the entire show. He's "too different" from the ponies and the harmony they worship. He learns how to be more selfless and carrying towards his friends, he learns how many of his behaviour are toxic and he is ALWAYS called out when being in the wrong. Fluttershy ALWAYS established boundaries, specially for him, and was never afraid to raise her voice and correct him. And HE LISTENS.

He's more than charismatic and well-designed, he's a perfect example of a realistic reformed villain. Most reformed villains in MLP change their whole personality in seconds once they're forgiven, like, Starlight was literal cult leader that brainwashed and tortured ponies yet she was never held accountable for her actions.

I love characters in stories who are just having a ball of a time as everyone around them suffers. They're rarely protagonists because suffering is really useful, and arguably necessary, for character growth. But like the supernatural entity that could solve all the good guys' problems but fucking with them is way too fun. The campy villain living their best life and serving cunt as they commit atrocities. These bitches came here to have fun and that's what they're going to do, no matter how much trauma, death, and complicated plotlines are happening around them. Character development? Never met her, was too busy loving life.
