Saw looks so cool! I wanna give him smooches But as for questions about him, what was the biggest trauma he's ever felt?

well. aside from the obvious indicator that he's named after a torture method?

his entire life was one massive trauma event. not that he's really realised it- being disassociated from most of the acts he was forced to commit.

probably watching his kingdom and life completely crumble around him while he was desperately holding on by his pinky finger to existence.

sometimes he gets panic attacks and flashbacks so bad that he either goes manic or begins to fall down, but he always comes back.

he'll persevere. he has no choice.

currently he's doing alright in life, living in an abandoned old forest-covered AU with his silly villain crew (the others being named Torch, Four, and Bronze, which you can feel free to ask about.)

they often all commit murders of varying degrees, as well as occasionally slipping out of their AU to wreck havoc on the multiverse. so much so that the star sanses assume it's the bad sanses messing up the AUs, even though they have absolutely nothing to do with it.w

The villain sans squad (being led by 404) take in dream and dream becomes a traitor because he actually hates most of the stars.

Nightmare assigns cross to get close to dream to learn all of the stars secrets.

Dream knows this and decides to make cross fall in love with him while giving away *some* information.

Dream loves error, and the 2 are dating. Error knows the villain squad and works with them sometimes.

Dream goes by meringue, a villainess straight out of a fantasy book, master at illusions, due to all the negativity that had been slowly corrupting her she has the ability to use corruption but not enough to take over her entire body. She gives off a regal presence.

Bad guys start to see the cracks in the facade of "dream" (the stars never paid too much attention to Dreams personality ad long as he was doing his job.)

Villainous devotion is the only love I want

With you in charge, Dust is a different beast entirely. You might recall from the previous mafia posts that Dust doesn't want to be under Nightmare's command, so he does precisely what's required of him, nothing more and nothing less. Well... now, he's got a reason to remain. The one calling the shots is someone he loves and admires. He's not just your confidant and secret keeper, he's your secret weapon, the one you send when the job is so important you need to guarantee success. When you want a whole room of 'problems' dispatched so quickly and so silently no one even notices they're dead for several hours. Some say love and LOVE don't mix, but... Dust disagrees.

Horror is definitely not as clean as Dust, let's say that. And he requires a little more affection. But sometimes, unclean is exactly what you want, sometimes a message needs to be loud and clear, and what could be clearer than blood? There's no one he can't find for you, no scent he can't follow back to the source. Dust is precise but Horror is sudden and unstoppable, he strikes a real, tangible fear into everyone. He's a force of nature and he's perfect if you need the world to know you aren't to be trifled with. When he's not ripping people into pieces for you, he's baking! He loves providing for the people he cares for. And when he's visiting Crooks, you're always free to join him and his brother for dinner.

If mindless devotion were a person, it would look like Killer. The others go out and cause scenes, but he stays in and causes scenes, staying close by and warding away any embarrassments that besmirch the good title of 'assassin'. If you want him to go stretch his legs and kill someone, he'll do so happily, but his favourite place is wherever you are. He often seems unaware and silly and borderline clumsy... but it's a front. If anyone thinks they've snuck up on either of you, they are gravely (hah) mistaken. His dark sockets make it impossible to tell where he's looking, and he'll have spotted someone long before they make a move. He's heard many insults - people frequently call him your lap dog. It only bugs him because he's a cat person.

You'd think Nightmare wouldn't do well in the number two position. Considering his history and family feud. But it was never the act of being 'second' that irked him so much - it was feeling invisible, unappreciated, unrecognised. You very much make him feel appreciated. He's your right hand, and he's a damn powerful one, his iron fist solves any issues you may have with not being respected as a small human in an underworld of monsters. He's had proverbial skin in this game far longer than you have, his resources and knowledge are vast, you greatly value his advice and insight. People often mistake him for the boss... he takes great pleasure in correcting them. no, that would be my beloved. He can be the moon to your sun. That suits him just fine.

What kind of music do you think the bad sanses listen to

Killer absolutely listens to Rock and indie/ alternative rock, such as Sub Urban, Burn the ballroom, Pink Floyd, or (and i’ll die on this hill) Will Wood, or he listens to musicals such as the Epic Musical, Ride the Cyclone Musical and the Miracle Musical (he absolutely listens to Jojo’s bizarre adventure music too chchch)

Nightmare either listens to classical music like a basic bitch or listens to beautiful old jazz gems like “what a wonderful world” and “La vie en rose” by Louis Armstrong, “we’ll meet again” by Vera lynn, “Heartaches” by Al Bowlly, “put on your Sunday clothes” by Barbra Streisand, or “I’ll never smile again” by Tommy Drosey

I like to think Dust loves listening to those Alternative/indie nostalgic yet somewhat creepy quiet music such as “Repressed” by i don’t like mirrors, and “Goodnight dad I love you” by Wishing, and “you smell like dead flowers” by vslush_, either that or he listens to Korean songs such as “Villain” by Stella Jang, and “Drunk-Dazed” by ENHYPEN

Horror absolutely listens to Pop music!! But not any Pop groups/artists, cause he absolutely listens to masters like Abba and Michael Jackson, i can imagine him listening to songs like “Crucified” by Army of Lovers, “Lay your love on me” by Abba and “Virtual Insanity” by Jamiroquai

As for Error, he’s absolutely the type that just listens to his fave shows’ OSTs, but a headcanon i have that I’ll forever hold on to is the fact Error doesn’t listen to music at all <3333

I always call Nightmare's gang the "Villain Sans Squad" because sorry, that sounds eighty times more threatening than "Bad Sanses".

"Bad Sanses" sounds likes a clique name for a bunch of edgy elementary school boys and I can't take it seriously.

I'm glad I'm past my petty phase but I had a petty phase where I resented the MTT because fics would often villainize or push aside the Star Sanses to put MTT in the limelight.

head canons that make you insane about the bad or star sans?

okok this can be taken two ways

Insane as in AHHH I LOVE THIS

or insane as I'M GONNA HURT YOU

So I'll do both, starting with the first one.

Stars:

I find it amazing when Dream is given less innocence, but also isn't an asshole. I know this isn't really a 'headcanon', but the amount of times Dream is either some innocent toddler or an asshole is ridiculous. Like give him morals and stuff that he might lash out at but come on.

Dream having possession of something that reminds him of Passive Nightmare, a journal or some pictures. Maybe something like Basil's photo album from Omori.

When they aren't all assholes... AHHH I LOVE IT. I know this is the bare minimum but the stars have been butchered by the fandom so badly ☹️

Ink knowing about some AU details, but not all. It's more interesting, he may forget some of it anyway, as he's very forgetful.

Swap not being yandere.

Them being friends, I don't like them having drama, or at least if they do they can ignore it to protect the multiverse.

Most of my headcanons focus on the bad sanses since that's how I maintained my interest in the fandom. I've always preferred villains in stories. There's probably more I'm just not remembering. I know theres more it's just not coming to mind

Bad Sanses:

Dadmare is a headcanon I have always LOVED. it's not my main au, so depending on how I want a story to go, I may adjust characters, but Dadmare is a guilty pleasure.

Headcanons that delve deep into the mental of them. How Horror is mentally, Dust is, Killer is, Cross, error etc.

Speaking of that, Cross being a part of the bad sanses is a must, or he must be at least aligned with them (I'll discuss what this means in another post) and Error must occasionally work alongside them, and would have a room at the castle.

A general idea that Horror, Killer and Dust cancel out each other flaws. Horror is amazing physically, Dust is amazing magically, Killer is a mix. They all balance out another. Like I'm not saying Horror is gonna wipe the floor with with Murder, but he would certainly stand a chance, and given a chance, would easily win. Killers a Jack of all trades, hes fantastic magically and physically, but doesn't specialise. However since he has both he can use his skills to confuse apponents.

Silly Killer is funny.

okay this is actually kind of hard to write about. I can do bad headcanons easier. So in no particular order:

Making Fell abusive towards Lust

Making the Fallen Starts exist... I've seen them properly executed less than 5 times.

Making Horror act EXTREMELY feral (I do like it, but there's a line... and people treat it like a fucking jump rope.)

Making Nightmare extremely horrible. I don't mean he has to be a dad, but I personally have a limit, I like the angst, it's just not what I'd personally have in my AU.

The Bad Sanses becoming 'good', maybe they're not as bad as people thought, but making them good I don't like.

I think my least favourite headcanon of all time would probably be like Classic being on the star sanses.

I LOVE MY BOY CLASSIC OKAY. AND I WANT HIM NEUTRAL. And when he joins the stars for some reason he veomes super emo and depressed and shit and suddenly has an alter ego like this is some Jeckyl and Hyde. I don't like him being on the star sanses AT ALL.
