constantly thinking about the PERFECT setup supergirl season 1 had to make kara queer;

"oh my god, you're a lesbian" – winn to kara, in the very FIRST episode.

"hell, i wanna date her" – kara, about lucy lane.

"she does kinda give off a sapphic vibe, with that big old butch S chestplate" – leslie willis (livewire) about supergirl.

there were so many other instances in s1 alone, let alone in later seasons when lena showed up (recounting every queer-coded supercorp interaction would require a whole podcast). it was the PERFECT pretext to make her even just a little bit fruity, but the cw just couldn't handle it i guess

dabi jokingly buying flowers from yn's shop every week to mess with shigaraki, only for shigaraki to track down yn's shop, demanding to know who sent them. you tell shigaraki and you hear nothing.

until the entire league shows up to make a birthday bouquet for toga. shigaraki says it's bcs "the flowers are cheap and they're close enough" but him and dabi rlly know it's bcs they both think yn is pretty and yn wasn't scared of them despite being known criminals.

i have no idea where i'm going with this. they're just losers who randomly get yn to date them.

I used to dislike Lazarus Pit Madness headcanons but I've seen people say "he doesn't need magic madness he has normal madness" and "why would you need a magical explanation for his behaviour have you people never heard of cptsd" and while I understand the sentiment (and Jason definitely has cptsd) this is exactly what I'm talking about when I say dc has a dangerous habit of demonizing/villanizing mental illness and it has a real impact on the fandom's perception of mental illness. Winnick isn't the worst when it comes to Jason's writers but the fact that he wrote Jason as both a brilliant hypercompetent villain and a sympathetic character that makes you go "oh hey, he has a point..." should not distract you from the fact that no, decapitation is not a common symptom of cptsd.

idk i just find it a little tragic that beckett was fascinated by pirates and wanted to see the world and experience the freedom that pirates lived for until his father basically told him he would amount to nothing so he became hell-bent on proving him wrong before he’d even really lived. like obviously he wasn’t going to be a pirate but what could he have been if he didn’t decide to become exactly like the person he hated just to prove a point
