my brain and undone assignments are BEGGING me not to post on another platform but i am a slave to that create button. plus i feel stupid posting these captions on instagram and they get lost in all my concertposting...

wonpil tends to use metaphors and imagery a lot more than youngk and i think all the pilmography songs illustrate that really well.. unpainted canvas in particular uses a canvas (wow thanks for that dowoonf!) as a metaphor for how you envision your future and how that scenery turns out to be different when you actually reach adulthood.

songs like these usually have a problem-solution flow with the verse to the chorus (example: wish, marathon) but i always find myself relating to the verse alone.. i find it so admirable that wonpil can make a lesson out of some of the worst experiences of adolescence but unfortunately i'm not at the age or maturity to apply them to my own life.. the fact that he wrote this song with his longtime friends also adds to the emotion because look! they all got through it! i can only hope the same happens for me too...

anyway. all of the pilmography songs have such good endings. wonpil's conviction when he says 'you will be happy' in Someday, spring will come and '[the canvas] will be completed' in Unpainted canvas. truly the songwriter of the century

The Mourn Watch are revered in Nevarra but odd at best and evil at worst outside of it

Nick: "I love the fact that the writers took Emmerich and explored the whole idea of death and the whole idea of necromancing by bringing kindness into it. I really responded to that and got into that and I know it sounds crazy, but it’s to not have this idea that death is vulgar or something to be terrified about, but something to actually engage with on so many levels.
