We are comforted, so that we can comfort others. I can deal with temporary discomfort for a life of peace and love. I've been hurt. Most of us have. Words recycle in your head that someone said to you. Tears. Anger. Frustration. Even rage tears through you like a razor. Actions so despicable that others shake their head in disgust. Some ask how I smile with all that I'm going through. God. Faith. Faith of a mustard seed. Focusing on His purpose for my life instead of my wants, needs, desires. Now this is not easy. Especially since I am Type A, disgustingly independent, perfectionist to a fault, controlling of my path and direction in life. I constantly have to remind myself that I'm not here for me. I am here on this Earth for Him and His purpose only. Once I recenter myself, a beautiful sense of peace engulfs me and all is well. I often forget my prognosis. I am not a victim to the multiple diseases infecting my body. My soul and spirit is victorious on this journey. And a calm reminds me that when this shell has had enough, it's okay, because I...the true essence of me...WINS!
