Plotting more of Alone Together finally and something about this just Hurts.

It's so painfully on brand for Veterans, it makes me sad. The whole point of the fic is that they're all each other have now, everyone else is dead or gone, it's them against the world. This is their happy ending, as opposed to the canons we got of them being all alone again and miserable.

The Federation gives them this teaser of one last event, where they could easily see so many people they haven't seen in so so long. People Phil and Fit are both hurting so deeply to see again, even if just to say goodbye.

But they're both so skeptical and cautious in nature due to living in an anarchist wasteland and a place where one little mistake can mean the permanent end of your life, and they have so little faith in the Federation, especially now given that it feels like they shouldn't be on the island At All atp, that they immediately and confidently decide it's a trap and the Federation is preying on their heartache and desire to see their friends again. Even though they have only ONE shred of evidence to suggest that none of the islanders are here anymore.

And because there was nothing to suggest their missing kids will be involved in some way, there's no reason to indulge the Fed's call. So they run, having no idea they're throwing away their one and only last chance to see their friends again.

its just going to be a collection of self-indulgent one-shots and ficlets i make about those two :) nothin dramatic, just them being. yknow! soft. or crazy. whatever i end up feeling like.

following everyone settling after returning from purgatory, phil's pain known to fit, fit takes it upon himself to help with that, which ends up coming in the form of an epsom salt bath, both of them sitting together, and phil finally getting a chance to take a break and relax.

its under the cut bc its a bit long, but this is just an opening scene for a chapter lol :) once i have a handful of chapters set up and ive gotten the hang of things ill get ready to start posting.

A creature - a monster, maybe? - of unimaginable size looms over him.

It's dark like an unlit cave, you'd barely be able to see even if you pulled out a torch to light your way. And it's quiet, other than faded, layered whispers in a language he doesn't recognize.

The creature is oppressive as it stares him down, eyes so large it looks like they're each the size of another planet, gleaming the same shade as the ender dragon's breath. His heart beats, slow, but pounding, in his throat, as it stares him down.

As the creature opens its mouth to swallow him whole, and he feels more that he hears wingbeats as hands he's sure he knows, hands he recognizes, hands he inherently knows belong to someone he trusts-maybe-loves-definitely-cares-for grab his waist, sliding to wrap around his middle as he stares sightlessly up, into a creature's maw so wide he idly wonders if that thing would be able to swallow a world whole, in one single gulp. Maybe it could, if he really tries to think about it. He feels somehow as though maybe, whatever that beast is, it's tried to do so, before.

His stomach lurches as he begins to fall, and he feels the hands-he-knows and wings-he-can-hear turn into the press of a body wrapping itself around him, fitting against his back, holding him as they plummet into a void that doesn't pull away his lifeforce tick by tick, instead fading out, twisting and warping into something green, something earthy, something tinged with the sound of songbirds.

The longest standing historian of 2B2T wakes with a start, in the exact position he'd fallen asleep in hours beforehand, on an island cut off from all other civilization.

…what a strange dream.

And before anyone maybe asks why Techno isn't anywhere on there it's because I don't headcanon him and Phil as anything but platonic personally. I can understand making a case for a QPR of some kind, but generally speaking I just like to interpret them as an extremely strong & unbreakable friendship.

birdhouse blues: qsmp fic, takes place post-birdhouse. no major warnings. fit is reptilian and MAD about what phil went through and gets possessive about it. also he just fucking lays on phil. 780 words.

fretful insect: the realm smp fic, romantically implied via kisses. fit loses a life, phil is sick, and also is a dragonfly and very worried about fit bc he was UPSET that he died. similar vein as above: possessive and phil flops on fit. fps trio cameo at the end. could be romantic/qpr fps trio if you squint because phil basically jumps sneeg at the end LMAO. 1,132 words.
