Blog time Hello! We are back from our trip! I'd say I'm feeling refreshed but coming back to sweltering dry heat shut down that feeling very quickly. Now we are even more determined to move to the seaside within the year though 🏃‍♀️ It's incredible how much of an effect on your health the weather can have. These days we have been hiking for around 8 hours a day in the mountains and coast without breaking a sweat in 17-22ºc high humidity weather. In contrast, today back home we walked to the store five streets away in a dry 33ºc sun and we felt like throwing up and never leaving the house again lmao and it only gets much worse until september aaaa I can't wait to move out of the city and start a new colder and quieter phase of life where I don't have to dread the coming of summer every year!! But at the same time I've been feeling this trepidation about settling down somewhere permanently, I realized that every 5 years or so I get the itch to move somewhere new and it worries me a bit tbh, I hope it is just my fear of commitment acting up and the fact that we just haven't found the right place yet. And the longer we spend in this place the more we feel like it will be the right one so I'm hopeful!
We have also been watching more of David's filmography! we watched Des, Single Father, Recovery, Bad Samaritan and Deadwater Fell. We enjoyed Recovery, Single father and Deadwater Fell the most, all were really good!! then Des was decent and Bad Samaritan was terrible. But as expected David steals the show every time and you end up sitting through the most ridiculous scripts just to see him give it his all and elevate the whole thing with every scene lmao the sheer range of this man!! let me gush for a second, he goes from the most charming and pitiful train wreck you would kill to protect to the most terrifying monster of a person so effortlessly you can hardly tell it's the same actor. He is so outstandingly good at every role!! Anyway I love watching our little shows of our favourite guy with Nicolas everyday, it has been the highlight of my year 🥰
I've also been meaning to get back into games but I just can't find the right one! I tried the whole cozy farming/survival/sandbox game thing and came to the conclusion that it's not for me, I don't find them engaging enough so it ends up feeling like a time sink 😞 I also thought of going back to FFXIV but the new expansion doesn't sound like something I would really enjoy and while I love RPG I'm finding it hard to commit to 40+ hours of storyline lately, BG3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Disco Elysium have been sitting in my library for ages now and I can't bring myself to play them even tho I want to!! I'm hoping DA4 will get me back into the RPG mood. I've also played Hades II but I'm all out of content until release! Maybe shooters will do the trick, something fast paced I can play for a little bit as a distraction from work. I've been meaning to check how Warframe is doing too, I love it and haven't played in ages, and every time I check it's like a completely different game so that could be fun! but I'm rambling now, if you have any game recommendations let me know! I hope you are all doing well 😊 I'll get back to drawing now and will share some sea pictures later!

My dearest folks and wanderers, who come around…
Currently I’m overwhelmed of how much love and reactions I get in here 🥰 Thank you all so much! I‘m sending big Wrecker hugs to all of you 🤩✨🙏 Before I return full force to drawing Star Wars fanart, have a rare original artwork of mine – my current awake internal processing dragon ✨🐉
Somewhere it is told that those clumsy, precious-hoarding and -staring lizards, feigning intelligence for big effect, should bring luck allegedly 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ I‘m not sure about that, but the scale hatching pattern looks nice and was dopamining for me to draw, so yeah 🤩✨
Announcements and statements
have a caf for those ☺️☕️🫶
Things happened and things may happen and I‘m always open for messages, no matter if request, feedback or deep talk – be sure it’ll be with an open ear, respect and caf vibe 😀☕️ I‘m serious with important things, but I‘m not willing to discuss important things emotionally loaded. Agitated hearts aren‘t wise, only agitated – so I won‘t accept quarrel invitations 😂 This is the way 🤷🏽‍♀️
Holidays were weird 🤯 I got sick, I got unsettled, I did my first fanfiction-y writing (wtf? I write?) and my developing artstyle decided to unsettle me additionally, confusing my WIP and a genuinely asking feeling what for Maker’s sake is actually happening ❤️‍🩹
So with all my current whatevers I got inspired to do some more clarifications 🙏✨
What is that Chaos Squad thing?
For those who don’t know – don’t get confused, the „Chaos Squad“ is working on a definition and is in it’s finding phase 😂 As I see this, we‘re fun chaotic artists / writers / else collab group and want people to enjoy fun and inspiring-each-other-into-creating escalations with us in the Star Wars fandom 🤩🫶✨
I can only speak for myself, but like some others of us, I play with my Star Wars OCs and the art-, reblog- or comment-chaos gets OC „flavoured“. But I’m not a roleplayer 😀 I stay artist Eobe and use for Chaos Squad activities my OCs mainly to give myself an art- and scene-fitting face insert in our together creations! ☺️ Feel yourself always invited to reach out if you want to ask something! ☕️
This is an artblog and it stays an artblog ✍️ my focus is doing art, collabs and interactions mainly in the Star Wars universe, but I love to do art and crossovers with other fandoms if I like 🤩✨… or some more original art, if I manage to get over my actual shyness 😗
Eobe entering AO3
sounds like a threat 😂 I‘m almost sure I would even do threats not without offering a caf ☕️ what am I hihihi
I’m on AO3 now and dragon is my pfp in AO3!
Gorgeous @eclec-tech 🫶 lured me back to AO3 as co-creator for continuing „The Spicy Fox“ story ☕️🦊! Check it out, the new chapter is so much fun to read and I love to have the honor to accompany it with my artworks – a new one freshly added at the end of the chapter, already showing some progress in my artstyle (if my eyes aren’t jinxed like everything else seems to be currently 😱)! The artwork will get its own posting of course, but I wanted to opt in back to you all with dragon 🐉✨
As I also absolutely unforeseen managed to write a „thing“ despite blockades – my unintroduced clone OC took over when I was massively unsettled and started his Matrix / Undercover coded loner mission against the inhibitor chips, knowing way too much… I think I call it „The Source Code“ 👀✨ and I‘m very tempted to deliver you the continuation that already roughs my brain (some were also asking for it 🙈 thank you so much)!
So long story short (what a joke actually!? 😂)
There will be more art again soon hopefully (and maybe even those writings? Whatever maintenance is currently happening in my head 😂)
I‘m absolutely looking forward ☝️🤩✨
Taglist – for information: @lonewolflupe @bixlasagna @returnofthepineapple @sunshinesdaydream @covert1ntrovert @general-ida-raven @vrycurious @dystopicjumpsuit @chaicilatte @groguandthebadbatch @ladylucksrogue @spaceyjessa @morerandombullshit @freesia-writes

Oh! That was absolutely part of my response, thank you for reminding me 🥰
Fantastic color choices, red is a classic, and dark purple, like a midnight or something, sounds enchanting 😵‍💫 you could probably enthrall me with that alone, without even needing to kiss me 😳
And the subtle pink, where I can tell your lips look delicious but I can’t explain why, making me not even suspect an aphrodisiac affecting me and just falling under your spell without a trace of resistance~
That sounds like so much fun, Mistress~ you’re really playing on my hypnosis kink 🤭 and about a dozen other kinks 😵‍💫 I want to see all the things you’d cram into my empty head, see what you’d do to me to make me your perfect toy~
-🌀
(Trying to make me all fuzzy headed and empty whenever I send you an ask? As if I don’t already get like that whenever I’m writing for you~)
We’ve established we share a good deal of kinks. Still, there are things I’d love to etch on your pretty mind.
You wouldn’t look at candles in the same way ever again. Temperature play is often about ice but a light burning can be quite addicting. When done correctly is quite fun, the sub elicits the most beautiful gasps and little wines. Not to mention how they squirm when the warm wax touches their skin.
I’d sprinkle some knife play love, definitely. You’d have a very nice memory - dream - of being tied to a chair while I sit on your thigh, teasing you and holding you by your jaw to secure eye contact. I want you looking at me when you feel a cold, sharp pointed thing sliding down your chest. You’re not bleeding, I would never scar you, but the knife leaves a line behind.
You’re nervous, of course, and I can tell. Afraid, even. The rise and fall of your chest took a different rhythm and you’re flexing your stomach almost involuntarily. But the danger is exciting, you shouldn’t be hard when someone explores your body with a knife, should you? And yet…
You’ve given me no reason to believe you’re a brat, but I know you can be dominant if given the chance. I’d tone that down slightly, so you remember how much better it is to let me take care of you. Not thinking is relaxing, you can let go of distress and stop pretending; being a mindless toy - darling sweet pet - is better.
Praise would still get you flustered but you’d start to love it. No more ‘I don’t know how to take compliments’ but ‘I love, love, love, being praised for doing such a good job’.
Since I’m poking around your mind, I would turn a fruit into an effective aphrodisiac. Do you like cherries, sweet sparrow?
(Oh I so am. Good to know, dear.)

23. Best writing advice for other writers? 😁💚
PFFFFFFFFFT 😝 I refer you to the fact I am a rank newbie and can’t possibly offer advice because that implies I know what I’m doing…!!!
… Unless I steal advice directly given to me by an experienced wise one *looks pointedly*…
I confess I am still struggling to follow this advice on many days when I get the intrusive feeling that it is ridiculous and borderline rude of me to try to contribute anything to the amazing body of work that the Thunderfam has produced… and is still producing… and I feel that everything I think of has been done already and SO MUCH BETTER or maybe I should just put the idea out there for someone to do a better job with? I dunno…
But borrowed wisdom says something to the effect of…
Nobody else can tell your story the way you can.
And also
More fic is always good fic.
So I’m trying my best to believe that and think everyone else should too.
Also… and this might be just the unique and irritating way my brain works but in case anyone else does the same… it takes deliberate effort to remember that number of notes doesn’t *necessarily* correlate with whether a piece of work has merit. I’m a data nerd and I can’t help tracking it (I’ve tried but I do it anyway) and it’s really easy to get in a stew of “person x who I respect didn’t interact so they must hate it, I should give up” or “wow, I was really proud of that chapter but it got fewer likes than the others… is my judgment totally off?” Sometimes people just don’t see things (yay tumblr) or they are busy and mean to come back to it and don’t get around to it. Maybe there are people who enjoy it but just don’t do likes or reblogs on everything… or maybe they didn’t like it as much but that doesn’t matter. If I did… it’s valid. Doing this for fun not approval, right?
Just write the words. You can play with them later, post them, or not. But if an idea comes write it down because it’s good for you.
Also, randomly message people who seem interested and ask them to read things through for you… I’ve been really surprised by how many lovely people actually enjoy this and want to chat ideas 🥰 dunno if this is universal but the Thunderfam is very friendly and supportive!
Here endeth rambling 🤣

I wanna talk a little bit about the concept of "want"
Mutuals, I urge you please to reblog this and maybe we can get a conversation going. Could be interesting 🥰🥰 ily ❤️
So the topic here is the concept of "Want" and the part that it plays in building and sustaining a functioning society. Some philosophy might say we all "want" the same basic things. Food, safety, shelter, friends, and fun. Those people might say that we should develop our society around giving people the freedom to "do what they want" with the understanding that those wants will inevitably bring society to a good place anyway, so why stop them.
Others will point to more obscure and extreme desires like murder or rape or defrauding the public to say that you can't just give people what they "want" or society would fall apart.
One person will say "it's not about what you *want*. It's about the LAW" As if the law isn't based on our mutual desires as a society.
Take murder for instance:
Murder should absolutely be illegal. Definitely not something we should allow as a society.
But the writing of a law banning murder isn't anything more than enforcement of something we don't WANT to see happening.
The argument "it's not about what you want, it's about the law" falls apart pretty quickly if you imagine the following scenario:
What if the law demanded that "each person, upon the eve of his 21st birthday, must commit one murder. Failure to comply will result in a $250,000 fine and up to one year in federal prison"
People would be clamoring to find every loophole imaginable. "His" 21st birthday? Looks like there's going to be a lot more 20 year old transfem people.
The "eve" of his birthday? Every single person with a birthday before the day this law goes into effect will be signing affidavits stating that their birthday is before the law was enacted and thus can't be held liable under this dumb law.
Guaranteed people would be suing the government left and right as to the constitutionality of the law and fighting it tooth and nail.
Why?
Because most of us don't WANT murder to be a thing. Most of us WANT to avoid it at all costs, and being forced into something so abhorrent would cause no end of distress.
So the argument "it's not about what you want, it's about the law" isn't a good argument. Because the answer to that argument is "it very much depends what that law says"
Let's take something much less serious. Speeding.
We humans pretty obviously *want* to go fast. However, conversely, we also want to be safe. So we hire a bunch of scientists and lawmakers to tell us the maximum amount of fast we're allowed to go on any given road.
If you don't think so, then why are speed limits even a thing? If we didn't care, you wouldn't ever need a speed limit sign. We'd all happily cruise along at, maybe 30 km/h everywhere we go, and everyone would most likely be safe all the time. This isn't how it goes because that's not what we want.
Consider: a dodge challenger with 707 horsepower successfully escapes the police. We'd all cheer because fuck the police.
A different dodge challenger with 707 horsepower tries to escape but gets caught. We'd all cheer because fuck that dude, don't run from the cops.
Why are both of these nearly equally satisfying? Because we enjoy both the act of someone using massive power to escape from what we know is a corrupt legal system, AND we enjoy the thought that no matter how much go-fast you have, you can't escape your crimes.
Both things are objectively true, and they're both things that we want. Going too extreme in either direction seems a betrayal of some deep part of our human values and we try to find a middle ground that doesn't give too much power to the police OR the criminals.
OK let's change gears again. What about having children? For the most part, anyone can potentially have children "if they want to".
Lawmakers in every country in the world are worried that we're not keeping up having babies at the "replacement rate". People don't want to bring babies into the world when they can hardly afford to eat. But companies don't want to pay people higher salaries because their CEOs and executives don't want to give up their salaries.
CEOs abs executives getting paid exorbitant sums of money for almost no work are choking the life out of our society, but we don't write laws to ban the practice of overpaying someone 60,000x what their employees earn because lawmakers don't WANT to.
And those same lawmakers will argue, faced with these facts, that "you could become an overpaid executive too, if you wanted to".
They don't want to face the fact that a major problem in our society is executive salaries. They'd rather imagine that what we want is to BE the overpaid executive. Because that means they don't have to do anything and can blame our lack of sufficient money to a choice to not follow a certain career path. They don't want to do the work to change the law. So they imagine that the problem is we just don't want to do the work to become an executive ourselves.
What about something you don't get to choose? Like being a person of color.
Laws are made all over the world to discriminate against people of color. Why? Because a certain group WANTS to pretend that they are the majority. They have the power and they want to keep it. So they write laws that hurt people of color and then tell us if we *want* our lives to be better, we can just work harder. They'll point to successful people of color as proof that "you could do it if you wanted to". I don't doubt some of them may even point at me as proof that a transgender person of color can absolutely succeed. And they'll say to a transgender person who didn't have my upbringing, or my education, or my opportunities, or my luck, "you see her? She did it. You must just not want to"
And we don't want these laws to be a thing, but there aren't enough of us taking up positions at lawmakers to change enough of these laws. It's not like I'm about to quit my career to go be a lawmaker somewhere because that career path is not something I want. But I do want *someone* who is black and transgender to *want* the job of a lawmaker because it would benefit a lot of people.
Speaking of transgender, being LGBT is often talked about as something you're born with, and not necessarily something people "want". You're born this way. And that argument has a lot of merit. However, I would also argue that you absolutely *should* be ALLOWED to live out your entire life as a gay man or woman or enby. Or be allowed to transition JUST because you *want* to. We can squabble all day about consent and age and people knowing what they're getting into or whatever, but in the end, no matter what, once someone has read all of the books, digested all of the science, considered all of the opinions: the question of "will you have sex with/kiss/marry someone of the same gender" or "will you trans your gender" STILL boils down, in its most oversimplified state, to... "do you *want* to?"
How the law plays into all of this really matters, and is the point of this whole post.
We write laws because we want to. We run for office because we want to. We elect lawmakers or don't vote for lawmakers because we want to.
At some point, "want" becomes "law", but I think it's worth remembering that all of our laws are still WANTS in the end.
Because what you want DOES matter.
Now
I *want* for this to get lots of engagement. I want lots of people to reblog this with their own insightful opinions. But obviously no one needs to interact with this post or any of my posts... if they don't WANT to.
I want to be an engineer.
I want to be an author.
I want to be perceived as a woman, transgender or otherwise.
I want to be successful.
I want to inspire good and positive thinking in people.
And I want people to be happy all around the world.
All I can do is try my best to be as kind as possible and spread love and interesting thoughts as much as I can. How the world wants to react? That's up to the world. I hope you're having fun. I love you

for the fic writer ask: 12, 20, 64? 😇
well, well, if it isn't one of my favourite people ever... 😎🥰😘 sure thing, lil! here we go:
12. How does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?
like a great many fic writers, while i write primarily for myself, feedback from my readers plays a crucial part in motivating me to continue writing and improving my craft. good concrit is always welcome (though i often take it through gritted teeth, being the stubborn little shit that i am), and any praise or show of support is massively and genuinely appreciated (even when i struggle to accept it due to my own insecurities). and while getting kudos on your work is gratifying, receiving a heartfelt comment on the effect or impact your writing has had on someone is absolutely mindblowing and wonderfully empowering by comparison.
20. Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
i tend to use plant imagery and symbolism in my work A LOT (specifically, trees and creeping vines). i also often include birds or bird symbolism. both of these are tied rather closely to my own perception of what love feels like (whether filial, platonic, or romantic). another subset of literary symbolism i often include in my writing is that of injury or chronic pain, which is also deeply connected to the id, and my own perceived sense of self.
thematically, a lot of my writing features requited unrequited love or unerring devotion, mainly due to my own persistent issues with being limerent and chronically in love with the idea of being loved and/or desired.
lastly, when writing humour, i like to inflict outbursts of intense embarrassment or deep unease on my focal characters, since that's usually how i feel about interacting with other people around 70% of the time. (but watch out! when i get comfortable with someone...)
64. Something you love to see in smut.
emotional vulnerability and intense passion. look, a good raunchy pwp is great and all, but being that i'm limerent and rather prone to melancholy and introspection, i love seeing characters be overwhelmed by the realization of the depth of their feelings for one another, and allowing that to bleed through into intimate scenes. having characters give themselves over so wholly and completely to one another in both mind and body that at the end of a given sex scene, i, as the reader, almost feel like i'm the one that got lovingly and seductively taken apart and put back together again.
alternatively, lately i've been getting really into breeding kink and possessive tops 👍
thank you very, very much for the ask, lily! 🌹🌹🌹 these were super fun questions to ponder and come up with answers for. ily and i hope you have fun reading these!

~ Writing Patterns ~
Thank you very much for the tag @ullvide❣️
How to play: Write the opening line from the last ten fics that you posted and see if there are any patterns! (I’m linking to the fics in question, but just so folks know, my fics are locked to anyone not signed into an AO3 account)
1) “See-ew stepped out of his sandals, making sure to arrange them neatly next to Liu’s (he’d learned that kicking them off haphazardly and leaving them where they landed irritated her) before following Liu into the kitchen and unpacking the two items they had just impulsively purchased.” 200 degrees (that’s why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit) See-Ew/Liu, The Warp Effect
2) “When Sean was nineteen, his parents were attacked and drained by vampires.” everlast Sean/White, Todd/Black, Gram/Black (one-sided), Yok (Not Me)/Longtae (A Tale of Thousand Stars), Not Me & ATOTS
3) “Pan had seen Prae kissing Meen, and she’d led her away from the rest of their group and Prae had been worried that this would add to Pan’s social ammunition against her and that all her carefully constructed stature would be dismantled, but Pan had assured her that she understood what she needed (Prae didn’t buy that for a second - how could Pan know what she needed when she was still figuring that out herself?) and had brought her to a secluded corner of the party where people were getting high on who knows what kind of drugs and having sex all together in a disorienting jumble in a dimly lit room.” don’t dream it; be it Prae (P.S. I Hate You)/Kat (The Warp Effect), P.S. I Hate You & The Warp Effect
4) “Boeing had been excited at the prospect of traveling all around the world as a flight attendant.” one and only Boeing/Boston, Only Friends
5) “Yo had spent her whole life practicing the taxing art of not taking people’s prejudiced judgments personally.” promotion period Yo & Sand’s mother (who I named Shine), Only Friends
6) “Chompoo was perpetually sleep deprived.” getting lost in the dark is my favorite part Chompoo & Night, Dirty Laundry
7) “Maetee approached the room he shared with T-Rex, not expecting it to be occupied, as everyone had communicated that they would be out at this time, and Maetee had been the first to get back to the house - or so he thought.” T-℞ Maetee/T-Rex, I’m Tee, Me Too
8) “Khatha slowly turned his head back to face Tum again, his cheek smarting where the punch had landed.” Khatha's Unhealthy Guide for How to Fill a Void in Your Soul Khatha/Tum, Midnight Museum
9) “Mote looked up at the opulent building currently shrouded in fog, then locked eyes with Kat to his right.” wo:oing hour Khatha/Dome, a bit of Mote (Midnight Motel)/Dome (Midnight Museum), Midnight Museum & Midnight Motel
10) “Jim had been a loyal customer of theirs for as long as Gaipa could remember, never expressing frustration over rising prices, and they supported his diner as much as they could.” chickened out of luck in love Jim/Gaipa (one-sided), Moonlight Chicken
I seem to alternate between starting my stories with introspective exposition and starting right in the middle of a scene. I’m glad that not very many of these opening lines are run-on sentences, as I have a tendency to write those, and I think they can be a bit of a turn-off when they appear right at the outset (thank you very much to everyone who reads past my overly long first sentences). I always enjoy revisiting my fics, so I had a lot of fun with this game 🥰

[Not pictured are her numerous burn scars]
1) Are you named after anyone?
Heyy I'm Ly Thi Minh, and nope I'm not named after anyone. Honestly though, with how common my name is in Vietnam, I very well could be lmao
2) When was the last time you cried?
Well that escalated quickly.
3) Do you have kids?
I only just turned 15 so if I do have one, be sure to attend my funeral tomorrow!
(P.S. Bring plum blossoms or I'll rise out of my grave and eat you :))))
(P.P.S. Nom nom nom slurp slurp slurp)
4) Do you use sarcasm?
No ♥️ /s
5) What's the first thing you notice about people?
Their threat levels. Practically speaking, what else would you notice?
6) What's your eye colour?
Dark brown. There's not much variety in Southeast Asia, I'm afraid.
7) Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings. Why would I want to deliberately make myself miserable?? Please, if I wanna scare myself, all I need to do is look in the mirror 😂
8) Any special talents?
I recently discovered that I'm freakishly good at dodging shit, so let's go with that.
9) Where were you born?
Vietnam, in New Hanoi! It was my childhood home and 75% of it got reduced to rubble :)
Now I live in Lorelei, United States. It kinda sucks but it's also kinda cool. You can say that I have a... Love-hate relationship towards it, I guess. I had to leave, obviously, of course I had to, but it's not exactly a crime to miss it, y'know??
10) What are your hobbies?
I used to do jigsaw puzzles. I even got into a Facebook group where we borrowed puzzles from a shared collection and Kalisha would help me frame up my pieces 'round the house. We haven't done that in a while though... The last one I did was a really cool piece of various Pokémon with a stained glass window effect. Kalisha bought it for my birthday and she even helped me put it together. I don't think puzzles are really her thing though haha
11) Have you any pets?
Má got a goldfish for me once and I named him Lucky. He died the next day though, so I guess he was actually Unlucky.
12) What sports do you play/have you played?
Barrier Ball! I don't know if you've heard of it but it's a popular game in America where there are goal posts on the ground, in the middle of the air, and high up in the sky. I know that there are other sports where you can use barriers to run around in the air but this is extra fun cause there are some volleyball elements too, like our setter-like midfielder. I actually wanted to do that, but I got forward instead. It's not bad though; it's kinda fun to 'disappear' and come out of nowhere with a shot. Like a sniper :)
Freaks out the opposing team every time haha
13) How tall are you?
5'5... I can't believe I think in feet and inches now; what have I become???
14) Favourite subject in school?
Math, I guess. Once you get into the rhythm, your brain kinda just switches off. It's actually really relaxing.
15) Dream job?
Uhhhhh I don't know. Does anyone really know what they wanna do at this age?
Besides Má, I guess, but that's cause she's crazy over ethreasts. Not everyone has such an obvious passion though, and especially not me :/

hey love! was wondering if I could get a matchup for the boys. I started playing obey me during my breaks in between classes at college and I’m so hooked! I’m female, she/her, 20, bisexual as hell, INTJ, Leo, ravenclaw/slytherin, and a new media artist (still in college tho). I love game design, 3d modeling, interactive design, visual effects etc. I also love reading, gaming, binge watching, digital illustration, dancing, rollerblading, baking cookies, rearranging my room, and listening to video essays/podcasts/audiobooks. My favorite genres are detective, classics, fantasy, adventure, folklore, mythology and sci fi. I love listening to music in a multitude of languages as well whether Arabic, Italian, French, Hindi and much more. MASSIVE introvert except for with my best friends where my unhinged side comes out. Despite being an introvert I’m very comfortable with leadership. I’m very contemplative and thoughtful, with a variety of interests as well as creative. I’m far from clingy and prefer to keep my own space even if I know you well. I can be a bit stubborn, and opinionated at times however. I’m a huge planner and hate when things go off schedule or when things are chosen abruptly. As for how others see me I think I come off as somewhat cautious and not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends I do make. Think that’s all I got! Thank you!
Okay dang girly, you could have just came out and said you were Levi's girlfriend; it would have been a lot quicker hehe 😂
So yeah, very obviously
I pair you with...
Leviathan
Because holy shit, of course you are. You are literally his dream girl and there's no way around that.
Though it feels obvious to me, Imma break it all down to keep this matchup worth your time~
Let's start with the fun part--your MBTI 🥰
Okay so you are an INTJ, meaning your function stack is NiTeFiSe or NiTe more simply.
This means your primary function is Introverted iNtuition, the function that you use the most to guide you through everyday life. It helps you see life from a broad perspective and connect the dots to the most likely outcome. This helps you strategize the best way to handle life's issues and helps you focus on your goals for the future more so than any immediate wants. This one of the reasons INTJ are also known as the Strategists.
Your auxiliary function, the one that gives the most support to your primary function Ni, is called Extraverted Thinking. While the work of your Ni mainly takes place inside you, Te is the main function you use to interact with your external world. This function provides the external framework on how to achieve the goal your Ni has seen for you. Te is all about what works in reality, what is practical and doable so it really helps you think logically about how to achieve what you need.
Now, I freaking swore I made a post of each other Boys' (or very least, the Brothers') MBTI types, but for the life of me, I can't find that post. It might have been from before I made my Masterlist and it just sort slipped between the cracks, so to speak.
I cannot remember whether I decided that Levi was INTP or INFP, but in truth, it matters little with you because both of these types are generally seen as very compatible with INTJs (especially INFP and omg, as an INFP, I love it cuz you INTJs are amazing and I love you 😭💕)
But back to Levi! Either way, I think with his auxiliary function Extraverted iNtuition (Ne), this man has some trouble really making decisions for himself because Ne helps you see so many possibilities for things, which also leads to his anxiety issues, which is also fueled either by his dominant Introverted Feeling (if INFP) or his Inferior Extraverted Feeling (if INTP).
I think you would be a major comfort to this man. With your NiTe, you give others a sense of reliability. Even during moments where you might not feel so sure of yourself, you have the people around you sure that you'll figure things out.
Honestly, I think that's something Levi needs in a partner; someone he can lean on and trust. He'd follow your lead and feel safer with a decision you made than one he made on his own.
Now onto interests! Girl you're literally learning game design. Please teach him what you know 🙏 He will be so freaking grateful and honestly, this man dreams about the two of you making a game together and actually sees that as an intimate activity for you two (literally gives me vibes of this one post I saw that said Levi's ideal date involved you two putting your Minecraft beds together. It's that level of cute, silly innocence hehe). And of course, he'd love to play games with you too!
Also, reading? Podcasts? Scifi? Fantasy? Adventure? He loves all of these too, even more so now that he knows you share these interest too.
You are literally his perfect Henry. Your seemingly self-assured nature makes this anxious man feel like he can rely on you and be safe with you. Combine this with all of your shared interests and the fact that he feels he can learn so much from you? This man literally can't think of a single thing he did to deserve you, but loves you so dearly all the same~
You are his safe person and in return, he will give you every ounce of love that his heart can make 🥰

8 Videogames To Get To Know Me
Tagged by the lovely @shivunin to share some games I consider near and dear to my heart. Thank you for thinking of me!
Dragon Age: Origins - I love the whole series dearly, but Origins will always hold a special place in my heart. It has my favorite stories, characters and PC out of the three games. I found it during a very big transition point in my life (graduating college, first real apartment, moving permanently away from home etc) and it was a great comfort. Not to mention this game is the one that got me back into writing after more than a decade away.
Planet Zoo - sometimes you just need to sink 600+ hours into making the perfect habitat for your favorite critters... Before abandoning it halfway through as soon as you get another impulsive idea for a zoo theme.
Silent Hill, specifically 3 and The Room - Baby's first horror games. 🥰 These titles are what let me take my baby steps into my love of horror in games and stories. I might be a giant chicken who can't play them alone or have to watch them as let's plays, but I think the love still counts.
Project Zomboid / The Last Stand: Aftermath - technically cheating bc this is two separate series, but they hit the same corner of my video game preferences so I say it counts. I LOVE a good zombie apocalypse, and the survival challenge of Zomboid / combat system of Last Stand are just so darn fun.
Overwatch - yeah yeah yeah I know 2016 called. This is the one pvp game I play, and only with a select group of friends. It's for the socialization and shit-giving more than anything else. Lord knows their match making and monetization aren't what's keeping me around.
God of War - the whole series. The early games were a blast to play with the husband when we were in college, and the newest games (still playing Ragnarok) are just. Beautifully done stories that really delve into Kratos' attempts to do better by his son.
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 - again, emotionally powerful stories with gameplay that makes me willing to put hundreds of hours in for the sake of soaking up every last pixel.
Unpacking - this is just a delightful organization game with great unspoken visual storytelling. It feels cozy and warm and kiddo loves it too.
Honorable mentions - The Uncharted series, the Mass Effect series, Rollercoaster Tycoon, the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Overlord 1 and 2, Pokemon Yellow, Spyro, Horizon: Zero Dawn
Annnnd with that I'll tag: @heniareth , @siriskulksnerding , @darkspawntaxcollectors , @greypetrel , @malewifezevran , @jinakadaisy , @merlange , @melisusthewee , @darethshirl , @oxygenforthewicked and YOU 🥰 (no pressure ofc)

Tell us your top five favourite horror movie tropes!
Oooh this is a fun ask! Thank you for sending this, friend! I'm excited to answer. (Horror, graphic descriptions of violence and gore, and potential spoilers ahead!) I've listed them from 5 to 1, leaving my Top Favourite for last. Some tropes can kind of overlap with others, and that's ok! I think that adds to the story telling too! (this is a subjective list, and it is based on my opinions and feelings only 🥰💜)
5. Ringing in at number 5, we have: The Reflection Isn't Actually a Reflection. All those scenes where we follow a character into the bathroom, they're washing their face or brushing their teeth or getting ready for the bath. We see them staring into the mirror, and then they turn away...but the reflection stays in the original position...or, just as scary, they look away briefly and our perspective follows theirs, so when they look back we are hit with a sudden demon face. There are lots of ways to do this trope. Probably one of my favourite ways this trope was executed was in Mirrors (2008).
The bathroom scene in Mirrors is one I will never forget. This was one of my very first horror movies, but I still remember this scene so vividly. When I watched it with my friends, we knew it was going to be a scare moment (why else would we see someone getting ready for a bath in a horror movie???) but we weren't prepared. When the woman is getting ready for the bath, there's a moment where she's no longer looking in the mirror, and the reflection remains staring at her. She doesn't realize anything is different, but we know. She goes and gets into the tub. The reflection remains, still looking like her. What happens next is something that did haunt my nightmares for a while. The terror is two-fold. On one hand, we have the audience knowing something is up, with a view of the mirror and seeing what's actually happening and being terrified because there's no way to stop it. On the other hand, this character in the tub had no idea of the danger she was in, suddenly can't seem to stop her jaws from being stretched open against her will....and it doesn't stop. It. Doesn't. Stop. You can see the confusion turn to fear and then desperation in her eyes and it haunts me. I think I was around 15 when I watched this movie. I had nightmares for weeks and none of my friends or I felt safe in a bathroom with the mirror uncovered for the next few days. The reason this isn't higher on the list is that I do feel the trope itself gets overused sometimes...a lot of demon movies have some sort of mirror scene...so while I like it, I think it should be used maybe a bit less; like only when it adds to the story and not for cheap scares.
4. Next up is: Jump Scares! Love me a good jump scare, and the best ones are the ones that get me no matter how many times I watch the movie. Sinister has that one scene in the attic where the spirits of the children are watching the tapes and the protagonist is so confused and drawn into the scene he doesn't even blink and then THE FACE IS RIGHT THERE. Gets me every time. A very fun trope, if used effectively. Some movies overdo it, or the jump scares don't actually scare me...but it can be such a fun thing to play with. Especially if the filmmakers decide to play around with it, drawing the scene out and making you think there's gonna be a scare...no wait we're fine...Oh there's gonna be a scare!....no wait...oh!...no...wait...oh, we're fine, it's all goo- BAM. The anticipation is a large part of the fun!
3. Number Three: Things That Are Not Supposed to Move That Move Anyway. This can refer to a lot of things, and you might wonder "why didn't she narrow it down", but the fact is that I find it is a very fun aspect of the story telling in horror movies. I was looking for a way to encompass that scene in Sinister where the man pauses the video, looks away from the screen, and the face in the PAUSED VIDEO turns toward him and stares at him as he's looking away...as well as the rocking chair in The Conjuring...The plates all being on the ceiling only to crash down to the floor in Paranormal Activity...Any and All possessed toys...doors that are supposed to be closed opening...doors that were open closing ominously behind the protagonists...I wanted to include all of it, and really, it all fits under that description. This is something that is bound to creep me out, and sometimes even downright terrify me (looking at you, Sinister). It's something that can add so much atmosphere and terror just because I look at it and go "That is Not Right. NOT RIGHT AT ALL." and immediately my hackles are raised. I love it. I hate it. It's fun. It's terrifying. Give me more. Yessssss.
2. Second place goes to: The Enemy Was Something Other Than What They Thought The Entire Time. Love this. I love the mystery. I love piecing together the clues. I love making guesses and seeing if I'm proven right or wrong. I love it so much. The Messengers. Haunting in Connecticut. Caveat. Devil. Psycho (yeah yeah, I know we all know the plot twist, but the characters don't, and that's what I mean). I love me a Red Herring, and I love rewatching the movie to see all the little clues I may have missed the first time. It's so much fun! Honestly, you could almost call 'guessing the plot-twist' a hobby of mine. LOL.
My top favourite horror movie trope: Final Girl! Typical of slasher movies, such as Scream or Halloween or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, there is usually a group of young adults/teens. One by one they are picked off until there's only one or two left. Final Girl refers to when the last one standing is a girl, and she takes on the villain in a last-stand...and wins. "Winning" can mean different things in different scenarios. In some, it's plunging a knife or shooting a bullet into the attacker and getting away. In others, it's running and jumping into the box of a driving truck and scream-laughing, covered in your own blood, as the man chasing you loses speed and ends up doing a creepy dance with his chainsaw in the middle of the road. The reason I enjoy Final Girls so much as a trope is because it really lets the girls go wild. They get to go absolutely feral and fight for their lives. It's really interesting to see a character pushed past their breaking point, and I find it almost therapeutic when it's a girl. Like, yes, please, let it all out. Let out the rage. Let out the fear. Let it all out the way you never can in polite society. Show them how strong you really are and that they aren't to fuck with you. That's what I really like about it. It's cathartic.
Thank you again for the ask, friend! I hope you enjoyed my answers!!

Yea that makes sense lol
Another very random question out of curiousity hmmm
Can you rank the unknown specimen least to most favorite ( you can include EMRingu if you want ) ? Just kinda curious
- ♟️
RHRHEGRHRH I’ll try my best (I am bad at making decisions)
1. Lisa!!!! (My fave design/character/reference-wise (I love PT), but when it comes to gameplay then they’re near least favourite because the fucking looping room is so annoying to me)
2. EMRingu (tied somewhat with Lisa, if she’s included among the EM Specimens, because I love Ringu 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰, gameplay-wise she’d rank somewhere around mid-tier because the pixellated fog-camera flash effect makes it SUPER hard to get around certain rooms)
3. Tirsiak (IMS O SORRT I FORGOT TO ADD YOU)(I love the design, love how cute it is compared to the other specimen designs, I love the levels for her and just the whole aesthetic/vibe of it all with the snow and fog and animals, how it repurposes Spec 8’s whole thing sorta and gameplay-wise, Tirsiak ranks near the top, because she gives a challenge but doing it is fun sorta and I like seeing her and the level)
4. Otto (I LOVE that the FNaF-reference based specimen is the most useless/easy to avoid specimen ever (the whole ‘the devs got annoyed for ppl asking for it so they made the most mid animatronic ever’ is so funny to me), I’m also very disappointed that I never ever get him when I play EM because I love the pizzeria room layouts; gameplay-wise he ranks like, top-tier because like, yeah there’s no challenge in running from him but he makes it easy, it’s like a lil break from everything)
5. White Face (I LOVE IMSCARED it’s so nostalgic, so great that WF is just. Here. And the levels are interesting; gameplay-wise, ranked with Lisa because this guy is a BITCH to avoid, but still offers that good challenge, plus a cool deathscreen)
6. Spooper (I do NOT hate him, he is just here because the very slow health draining effect is very stressful, and ranked among the other EM homies, he just ends up at the bottom- but tbf I love em all decently equally; gameplay-wise he ranks a little under Lisa & WF for ‘stress-inducing gameplay’ because the health draining is like a fucking battle to get done with the specimen as fast as possible)

May Flowers Game - July 2024 Progress Report
Another month has passed, so it's time for another update!
(Prior Updates: June, May, Initial) Oh my gosh, three months since I set out to finish a game??!! How how how howwwwwwwwww??? Where is my life going??!!!
Tumblr media
I mean.... 😅 I'm proud of these three months. Each finished thing I've put out there was built upon all the previous ones, and has been one step closer to the final goal. Three months ago, the protagonist didn't even exist, in any form, even mentally. Now it's starting to resemble a real game. (I do want to post more screenshots in the future though! Once I get to work on graphics again. Maybe even videos?)
Games Beaten This Month
(which I've taken notes on)
Kena: Bridge of Spirits - This game just looks so amazing. There's a major focus on boss battles which I think is reminiscent of Dark Souls, which I haven't played. But I can see the appeal.
The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls - An old Game Boy game to help get me re-acquainted with the system. It's a very lighthearted and humorous game, made by Nintendo. In fact, it was made by the game team who would later make The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and is where said game's Prince Richard originated from. You may also have seen the protagonist of this game in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. It is a grayscale game. But if you can look past that, it's a very fun little game, which in many ways is actually a parody of Zelda games.
OneShot - Haven't played it yet!! Haven't forgotten!! I WILL play this.
Prototype #1
Back around June 20, after doing all that games research, I put together a document called "Prototype #1." It was a wishlist of features I wanted to complete for the game. Things I KNEW it would need. Things like (but in more detail than here):
Player's abilities/main items and their effects (top priority)
Main kinds of terrain and their effects.
Various menus (including a debug menu)
Inventory system, money, game flags
Maps, moving from one screen to the other
Ability to have NPCs, dialogue boxes, and cutscene events.
That last bullet was shown off in this piece from earlier this month. The game's cutscene engine is quite powerful now:
And I'm happy to report, that all of the wishlist items for Prototype #1 were implemented as of July 20! ...except for two:
Make one simple song.
Make least 5 Sound effects, especially for text, jumping.
Tumblr media
Music and Sound
I really wanted to finish this checklist in July. That gave me 11 days to figure out what the heck to do for music and sound. 😭 Since the game's art style is based on the Game Boy Color, I planned to use a VST plugin in FL Studio capable of mimicking its sound, for everything. And I spent 4 days learning and studying for it. But...it has limitations. Which the Game Boy itself didn't have. That didn't sit well with me. There is a Game Boy music sequencer called LSDj (Little Sound Dj). Unlike a VST plugin, it is actual Game Boy software. It runs on a Game Boy (or emulator). And...it's powerful. Very powerful. Check it out on YouTube and see what people are making with it. And it IS accurate Game Boy sound because it is ACTUALLY running on a Game Boy. Here's what a music score with 8 notes looks like in it:
Tumblr media
So...I tried it. And...it was very easy to learn. 🥰I studied the waveforms it generated, and those from actual Game Boy games. I examined unofficial source code of several games to learn how they created music. And within 2 days, I'd managed to re-create a well known song from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - Mabe Village, using LSDj. I chose this song because it uses the system's two pulse sound channels. Which is about as simple as a Game Boy song can get. LSDj delivered! My ear cannot tell the difference between the original and the recreation. Here's what the original sounds like:
youtube
So...technically the Prototype 1 doc didn't say I had to make a *new* song. Just a "simple song." So, re-creating an existing one technically counts, right? Even though I cannot use it in my own game for legal reasons?😅 Well, either way, this was a very new, and successful learning experience. I feel like I've earned a check mark. So, mission complete! Oh, I also needed to make five sound effects. Messed around some more in LSDj, and done.
Other sound stuff:
I wrote a small program that can take any sound sample and convert it into a waveform that the Game Boy can play back (using its Wave audio channel).
I learned how to take a recording of myself humming, and turn it into an actual musical score that could be played with an instrument. (Fl Studio -> Edison Plugin -> Paste Audio -> Tools -> Convert to Piano Score). This will make it MUCH easier to write music than by entering each note by hand. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.
And with that, Prototype #1 is complete! So, I think I'm going to use LSDj for 100% of the game's audio. ^^
Other Stuff This Month
The main abilities that the player will have are basically complete. They have very tight synergy. However:
Character animations will be 4-directional only, not 8-directional. The diagonal-facing animations will be removed. The reason is, for a puzzle game, it's much harder for a player to line things up if the character can face diagonally. This is why most 2D games don't have diagonal-facing characters. They look nice. But they will cause frustration for the player if they cause the player to miss their targets when aiming.
Running animations will probably be removed. I love how they turned out. But "running" doesn't add enough to justify its existence. The core gameplay just...evolved in a different direction. Running lacks synergy with the rest of the player's abilities. The world won't be so massive that fast movement will be needed. And running would require an extra button to use. The other core abilities use just two buttons. Making the player learn to use a third button that doesn't do much is poor design.
I am trying to limit the scope of this game. So many ideas. Too many. I have to draw the line somewhere or the game will never be finished. A lot of ideas have been shelved for later. So...I have spent some time considering how to use those ideas. Maybe in a sequel?
But really, what's next for August?
So far it's been:
May: Initial designs and game concept
June: Playing and researching other games
July: Finish Prototype #1
And August? Probably fleshing out the game world. In any game, the player's abilities impact EVERYTHING. The world must be designed around what the player can do. Same with all its puzzles. And its main quest, sidequests, story, etc. And also, environmental objects which have synergy with the player's abilities.
This is why the player's abilities were the top priority for Prototype #1. Now that they're finalized (hopefully), all these other elements can be worked on in earnest.
Thank you again for following my progress! See you next month!

Yes, the Splatoon games are very fun! I've been enjoying them for years 🥰 Each game is effectively just an updated version of the last, so yeah it doesn't matter if you've not played the other ones.
Around now would actually be a great time to start playing, since there's some very special events happening in september!
As for playing against computers to practice, there's not a dedicated practice mode, but there is a singleplayer story campaign which serves a similar purpose. It's designed to be both a fun solo experience, and get new players familiarized with different weapons and various game mechanics.
(Also, speaking from experience, having a newbie on the team is usually nbd anyway 👍)
Are the Splatoon games any fun? I'm thinking about getting Splatoon 3. I haven't played the previous games in the series, but according to stuff I've read I don't think I need to.
Thoughts?
If I like it I might invest in the Switch OLED dock, since it's compatible with the OG Switch but also has a LAN port.
I don't really online game but it looks like a fun game and might be worth it.
Will I have the opportunity to play against the computer offline to get better before I play online? I don't want to ruin somebody else's time by being a newbie.
Could really use some help before I spend my hard-earned clams.

yo what procreate brush do you use for lineart it looks really cool :o
hi there -- i use a variety of brushes depending on the mood, so i'll make a nice lil compilation of my brushes to cover whichever one you're curious about!! thanks for ur interest 🥰
first off, the very recent BIC pen mimic i got from here:
and it looks like this:
Tumblr media
it benefits from a lighter colour (can be used with grey/unsaturated colours), it's worth trying out a few for fun. its grain blend mode (brush -> brush studio -> grain) is set to multiply, so i think that's where it gets its light-to-dark gradient from.
then, there's this one:
Tumblr media
which is an edited version of the default Tamar brush. i added jitter settings, which are the reason for its wiggles, and pen sensitivity. i love to use this one to give more simple drawings some extra flare.
and its sibling:
Tumblr media
this one is basically the same, but with NO jitter and added stabilisation. :-)
the last one on this list:
Tumblr media
i call her 'derwent highpressure 2 2 2', aka this is the culmination of me repeatedly editing & refining the default Derwent brush. the pressure sensitivity is super high because i wanted to get a range of pen thickness without affecting my sore hand too much. it's got a small amount of texture & jitter to it, and i'll be honest, i don't remember what the original one looks like.
to absolutely Anyone: i really encourage playing around with procreate brush settings because, although they're a bit difficult to comprehend at first, they're pretty open in terms of how you can mould them. plus, you can employ personally made textures & shapes (or free ones) to add subtle effects. it's fun! i have a whole dock of speech bubbles, decals, a watermark brush, body hair & feathers, etc. :-)
