see there's one specific reading of hamlet that I need and adore, and am always looking for in any production

when hamlet's calling the ghost. by the line "I'll call thee Hamlet, King, father, royal Dane" (usually the "royal dane" part is cut from productions)-- I need each title to be said with increasing uncertainty and desparation

"I'll call thee Hamlet!"

"King!"

"...father?"

and when 'father' is said with infinite softness.

and 'father' is said with yearning and longing and grieving.

and hamlet is reaching out to his father, who is standing right in front of him and won't respond.

One of the funniest things about Rayllum is how the creators went from "oh yeah we didn't plan at the beginning for them ending up together heehee" to "these two are in love. In fact not only that. They are obsessed with each other and have the worst case of down badism in story. We are gonna show that in every episode btw"

So I see a common head canon to explain why Sky can sleep in everyone's bed is that after his parents died the village as a whole raised him (I love this headcanon so much)

But that got me thinking. Would young Sky's toys be spread across every house? Would he have to go on a mini hunt across the whole village to try finding which house he left his favorite blanket? Who's cooking does he prefer? How much did people miss him spending the night when he joined the academy?

I just. I had feels with these thoughts, and wanted to share them with you because I know he's you most blorbo shaped boy

HELLO I LOVE THIS!!! That’s adorable actually. I love this so much.

In my head, the islands in the sky are a lot more populated and numerous than shown in the game because of game limitations. It’s a fully functioning society, and Skyloft is the biggest island and the main city, but there are a lot more. Still, I don’t imagine there’s a lot of surplus in supplies and resources. Everyone has to be careful and only use what they have to so that everyone will have enough.

If resources are delegated by household, it would make sense that Sky has to be passed around. No one family would be able to spare the extra food or clothes or toys to take care of him full time. Oh and once little Sky is old enough to really grasp the concept of scarcity, he might feel some guilt at using other families resources. As soon as any of them realize he’s feeling that though they would quickly put an end to it. Everyone there loves him like family.

Skyloft would probably have to have some sort of system for taking care of orphans and like getting a different amount of resources per household but I don’t feel like thinking about that system rn so the headcanon remains 😂

I see a lot of fics with Pipit as Links big brother figure, and I love that headcanon. I imagine he spent a lot of time there. And I think he would’ve spent a lot of time at Zelda’s house too.

Oooohhhhhhhh AH I can see a scene in my head right now. Sky’s at Pipit’s house and Mallara is getting the boys ready for bed but then Sky realizes he doesn’t have his favorite Stuffy, and he CANNOT sleep without it (it’s a Loftwing plush named Brenda because I’m in charge hehehehehe). Sky is distraught and so Pipit comforts him while Mallara goes from door to door trying to find Sky’s Brenda.

I think Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fore would have been way funnier if Jon Snow was born with the silver hair and purple eyes of the Targs simply because I like to imagine Ned Stark coming up with ever more frantic reasons that Jon Snow looks like That. Imagine him going "oh haha his mum was Lyseni yes mhm don't look too hard at this excuse" or "he's uhhhhhh albino yep" or "he had an accident with some bleach". And Robert just fully accepts the ever worse excuses and thinks that poor little Jon Snow is an albino half Lyseni boy who has very unfortunate accidents all the time with cleaning products.

Hi, who are your favorite Tellius characters and why?

I did make a tier list of my favorite characters in case you're interested, but I'll say my top five and why here.

Soren. I love the way that he's written. He's closed up and uses his demeanor as a way to keep people from getting close because he's got trauma, but when we see the way he interacts with Ike (especially whenever Aimee is involved) we can see he's capable of being funny and more than just a rude little guy. He's closest to Ike because Ike's the only person he feels safe around, but he's not just a "yes" man to Ike as he'll openly disagree with Ike when giving advice, even if that is out of fear or something less rational. He's written in a very real way, honestly. Most of the Tellius characters are, but his arc across both games just hits me different because he is slowly starting to feel more comfortable in his place in the world. Also I love a good mage/healer combo. My favorite unit type in the series.

Kurthnaga. I'm a sucker for dragons, okay? Ninian is my favorite FE character, and a sad dragon trying to see the best in people and the world? I want more of it. His backstory with his brother and his sister, his looking for his sister, the way he has to help save his sister more suffering despite how much it hurts him (he is terrified of blood and seems distressed by battle to say the very least). The way he has to fight his father, possibly kill his father, to do the right thing? The way that he is very kind to Ike in the first game and goes out of his way to help Ike, despite his father's orders, despite what happened to his brother and sister (which is believed to be dead or w/e by beorc). The way he meets Micaiah, imprisoned by Begnion, probably knowing that's she's Branded and going out of his way to offer her medicine for her injuries despite everything, showing goodwill. I love him.

Micaiah. I'm going to go crazy from the way people who have never played the games talk about her. She is a fundamentally kind and caring person, but she's had to learn to be wary and careful from the world that would sooner bite her hand than accept her help because of what she is, but she still wants to help. She has every reason in the world to be like Soren (admittedly, she has slightly less trauma and shown a kernel of kindness more), but she refuses. In the NA localization, she's sassy, and I like that addition to her character. Her back gets put up against a wall and despite the fact that it is killing her, her hands are tied and she grits her teeth and does something she hates to save the people she wants to protect. Say what you want about the Blood Pacts being contrived or whatever, it is a good exercise in how to get a character to do something they'd never do without making it feel like they're not that character anymore.

Reyson. This is a man whose nature is to be serene and calm and passive and has become hard and cut-throat instead. The world took everything from him and he was not going to take that lying down. Despite all of the hardness and roughness he's given himself, having his little sister back changes him, makes him more open to, not necessarily forgiving everyone, but the world, but he's still never going to be what everyone thinks a heron should be, and nor does he want to be, if he ever wanted to be in the first place, growing up as a childhood friend of Naesala.

Nailah. Confident, casual, and fierce. She took in Rafiel and healed him, learned a new language to be able to be able to go to the lands across the desert once thought lost, but I really do wonder what she thought about it. Where the war between beorc and laguz was still so intense that they had committed genocide against the herons, where slavery still existed, a land that would drive out and ostracize people who are accepted citizens of her own country. She takes in Micaiah and becomes a mentor of a kind to her, helping her be more confident in being a public figure. I think Part 3 would have gone a lot differently if Nailah had been by Micaiah's side the whole time. Also. Laguz queen. All the other most powerful laguz warriors are the kings, but Nailah is a queen and I love her for that alone.
