I always love the prompts/stories where Ellie and Dan address Danny as their "mother". Because it's not even about gender, it's the fact that this adorable little preteen and this giant behemoth of a man are claiming that this twink that hasn't slept in a solid week their birth mother!

i was thinking about how i wished leverage had a birthday episode for some of the characters cause that would be sweet, but then i realised something and basically…. okay here’s my thoughts in quotes form, just for fun

hardison: so when’s your birthday? i could plan something for us and the team to do and-

thinking about The Girls again and how thematically interesting Ward would have been if Taylor had been living with Lisa. Only barely tangentially involved cape business. Would mostly just work as a barista or a bookshop owner or something and went home to help Lisa with Aiden and played card games with Aisha and the rest of her group on the weekends. Would give people advice and stuff but very deliberately didn't get involved. I understand that the absence of Taylor was almost it's own character in Ward, but all the same, I really do think that Taylor being shown to have almost succeeded in moving on from capery, being about a normal person as she could be- maybe not happy all the time but content with her life where she gets to live with her best friends, sell books and maybe help some people here and there on the side would have helped with how emotionally distressing ward got, and provide hope that even someone as horrendously unstable and damaged as Taylor managed to find some peace in a world where peace often feels like an abstract concept. heck, i think Taylor being there would have also provided Victoria with someone who would have been able to give her the perspective check she really needed at times. Because while i love that girl, my god did some of her plans and actions reach some real moments of horror. Would have been a really cool narrative moment for Taylor to hear Victoria's idea for the new superprison and be like "This is an idea I would have had when I was a cape. I didn't expect I'd hear it from you." Basically I'm saying that it would have been cool to see Ward be less about the massive, sprawling fights and crazy shard shenanigans and be more of a contemplative story about the rebuilding of society, how and if capes can retire, how can you be a good person and also enjoy being a superhero when your job is largely defined by violence, ect. Oh and also Victoria and Ashley should have had more homoerotic moments with each other so taylor and lisa could stare at them and go "ah, remember when we were like that? good times."

I know this is me overanalyzing silly stuff about a silly show that has no logical plot whatsoever each episode but I can't stop reminding myself the fact that in G1 during the Nightbird episode it was implied Megatron liked her and then there's the fact that her entire programation was Soundwave's job.

What if. What if Soundwave just basically copypasted a majority of his own traits as spy and such to her. Does that make any sense? Megatron not realizing he's just pinning for a ninja robot that copies Soundwave's skills, and Soundwave watching him compliment her all the time while awkardly trying to figure out if he's overthinking it too much.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nightbird's character as her own and I think she was wasted potential for only a single episode, but I also think this post could be used as a silly dumb self-indulgent ship idea sometimes. I love them all.

It's wild how many people on "Team Black" need to hear this incredibly basic fact, but bastardphobia is bad, you guys. It's not only its own form of bigotry based around the 'nature of one's birth,' but also a product of and vessel for misogyny.

HOTD really did a disservice to the message the source material was trying to tell by overemphasizing the importance of 'legitimate' birth — allowing so much of the misogyny directed at Rhaenyra to be masked by a deceitful, 'objective' truth against her. Stop falling into that trap.

This is your reminder that when Matilda's (Rhaenyra's historical counterpart) claim was brought before the Pope, her cousin's faction, while of course benefitting from misogyny, did not use her womanhood in their argument; they used the justification of 'illegitimacy.' That her mother had spent so much time at a convent in her youth that she was "essentially a nun". Basically saying: okay, if being a woman isn't bad enough, we'll also say she's a bastard. Because you can turn anyone into a 'bastard' if you try hard enough.

This is your other reminder that the stalemate and dispute over succession was resolved with an adoption. I repeat. Matilda's son's claim to the throne was solidified by adoption. The warring factions consolidated their rival claims not by blood and marriage, but by a shared understanding.

my mom for some reason bought a whole spiral cut ham and so it's time for my favorite "low effort quick and easy healthy and delicious dinner with Lu, who just got off a 10 hour shift and is, perhaps, Hangry":

(so named because when I come home from work and am eating a late supper I want everyone to shut up and let me eat in peace)

YOU WILL NEED:

3 of the biggest eggs you've got - 4 if they're smaller than LargeTM

ham: deli cut works here but I literally just grabbed the spiral cut ham and ripped pieces off with my bare hands until I had a generous handful of Ham Bits (you can probably use whatever lunchmeat you have in your fridge for this tbh)

about like 3 tbsp of cream cheese?? Gordon Ramsay it babey

one(1) slice of pepper jack cheese or whatever kind you like

big handful of spinach (frozen works but I used a slightly wilted leftover salad since it needs eaten soon) or other vegetables of choice. bagged frozen stuff is great in eggs

optional carb (bread, tortilla, biscuits, et cetera)

LET'S CRACK THIS THING.

butter or oil in your pan. crack ya eggs. throw the Ham Bits in immediately or else they will be Cold. once eggs start to cook throw in your SpinchTM or ~vegetals of choice~ so that they'll wilt/heat up. this is the point where you want to toast your bread or heat a tortilla or whatnot, if you're into that kind of thing. once eggs are MOSTLY cooked, toss in your pepper jack and cheem creams and stir it all around until it's melted. it will probably look a bit watery — if this is a texture no-no I suggest making this in omelette form, bc yes, cream cheese is awesome in an omelette. serve with Optional Carb if you wis, or by itself, possibly eaten directly out of the pan you cooked it in. you are adulting so well. your tastebuds and your body think you're the coolest 👍 go forth full, happy, and proud of yourself

38: Childhood career choice?

Oooo, I don't remember what I used to say as a young child, honestly. But I think around the age of 9 or 10 I decided I wanted to be an ornithologist.

Sadly child me did not know I was so bad at maths this would be impossible (to do the science requirements to get into university).

But yeah, ornithology was the choice! :D

I first have to say that since I’ve only played Botw, some of totk, and maybe half of twilight, idk the other Links except for how people write them in fanfics and LU, so if my reason for each one doesn’t make sense, sorry!

1. Twilight - calm country boy but won’t accept being taken advantage of, also deeply cares about his friends and family (of the Links, he reminds me most of one of my best friends)

2. Four - also calm, logical, in fanfics is usually the only one holding the group’s singular brain cell lol (I’m a very logical person as opposed to emotional)

3. Sky - mother of the group, very sweet and loving (reminds me of my other best friend, but both Sky and my best friend can be a little too serious bc of this trait, I like to make jokes and mess around sometimes)

4. Tears - I think he’s a little less chaotic than Wild, I say a LITTLE lol, but idk, he can drive things so that’d help with traveling because I don’t like walking too much, but seeing scenery while flying would be pretty cool

5. Hyrule - most of the fanfics portray him as a very shy timid follower, and while I don’t want someone to dominate me in r relationship, I also don’t want to dominate, I need to have someone who can take charge but doesn’t boss me around

6. Wild - kinda already explained this one, ik he also has horses we could ride but still

7. Legend - his sense of humor being sarcasm is the same as me, I love sarcasm, I once said to someone “my sarcasm makes up for the whole population”, but while r senses of humor would be the same, I can’t see us working that well in a relationship, his abrasiveness is a lot and I’d rather have someone who’s softer and can cuddle with me w/o having to pretend it’s the worst thing ever bc eww feelings

8. Warriors - ik he has a soft side but his very flirtatious and arrogant personality would absolutely clash w me, it would turn me off immediately

sorry I didn't put up the reasons on the og post, I kinda completely missed that bit 😅 but yeah there are reasons for why I've ranked them as such

1 - sky (literally no matter what au) He's insanely caring about people that he's close to, but can also be pretty snarky and rude. He and I have pretty similar senses of humor plus he's really loyal and honest to people he wants to keep close. (also I see him the most as being ace and even if I hc the others as such it just fits him the best IMO and idk if I would want to date any more allos after my experiences fbvsbfbvs)

2 - Twilight soft! country! boy!!!!! He's loyal to a T and is just so warm cuddly and oh I do love him so - I think he'd be number one for compatibility if it wasn't for my fear of dogs lmao

3 - tears I mean, besides him being like wild but more interested in technology and with more ability to cook? also I wanna help him dye his hair because that would be so fun :3

4 - wild I often get told that I'm him irl (personality and action-wise), so I hope that'd translate into us getting along? I like being outdoors and we could probably bond over eating rocks tbh

5 - hyrule soft fae boyyyyyyy, he's so sweet but I don't think I could move around as much as he does, he's none stop compared to wild.

6 - warriors So, this is more for canon and how other people see him rather than my own hcs (my hcs actually bumping him up from dead last surprisingly) he's usually shown as a playboy and knowing people in most places he goes while flirting with people to get things for reduced prices and I have pretty bad trust issues! I would wouldn't want to date him if he was showing interest in others while with me <3 also his arrogance would make me shutdown and not interact with him sdvsf

7 - four So while I don't mind being with someone shorter than me, I would like to be with someone a close height to mine whether that be a bit shorter or taller. the line is drawn when he barely makes it to my elbow when we're both standing. Plus I think our personalities simply match better to be friends rather than romantically, I could see myself being good friends with him - just no romance

8 - legend Idk I just don't think I would ever want to date him tbh, I see him as more compatible with a friend of mine and that's partly why too - I wouldn't want to nab him from her <3

figured out something for my homestuck thingy that’s pretty major(and totally wasn’t figured out while listening to music and washing dishes) and then writing it down and then realizing that this thing might not see the light of day other than drawings of the characters and getting sad
