I am not good at playful digs and friendly roasting. I genuinely just don't have a grasp of what is and isn't within boundaries like that. When it comes to verbal sparring, I'm legit the "saying this, she casually threw aside a large rock" -girl from that anime clip. And this isn't a brag about how brutal and badass I think I am, I was raised to view every conflict and dispute as a fight to the death and this is very bad psychologically.
And it's not even that I'd get mad and take everything personally, I just genuinely don't know how to form a medium-range insult. So if someone tries to gently poke fun of something I'm self-conscious about, I'll be coming back with "your momma was so lazy she didn't bother to get an abortion, and instead just raised you to say shit like that and figured you wouldn't survive to adulthood."

I've said it before to multiple people from multiple sides of this site re: Him -
It would not surprise me and I'm pretty sure that man has a fucking nasty temper. Like verbal screeching level.
We just have never seen it before because it either has the long fuse/ takes a lot to trigger it or its extremely specifically triggered.
OP being scared of him is valid 100%. He could do some serious damage to someone- though I doubt (hopefully) that would ever happen physically. more hope because I aint wishing that on anyone.
Hey fun fact did yall know that im mortally terrified of Johnathan Bailey? Just thought yall should know
#he hasnt not disputed it#recently he told the full raindrop story from when he was 5 and hinted about it#A certain press tour is gonna be interesting especially if the affair gets a new level/they break up by Nov#press will question the rest of the cast and he already has shown he will get annoyed at journalists for asking stupid shit to him#It would not surprise me if one day he is wound up enough and âbitesâ verbally at someone/something#we dont go find that limit jfc#this is not going to end well as me and Lauren have said since 2022#I dont want it to happen but if it does I am not defending any side in it because you are asking for it because he does show warning signs

Mars â in Houses
Mars in 1st House
You are bold, combative and impatient by nature. You can tend to act first and think later, or jump to conclusions too quickly. Not content with just watching life from the side-lines, you need to have direct experiences. Equally, you can be headstrong and inconsiderate; wanting things your own way or not at all. Physically, you should enjoy good stamina and body strength. However, with your tendency to impulsiveness, there may be accidents and injuries.
Mars in 2nd House
Impulse buying is not unknown to you! A certain amount of your energy and drive is directed at making or spending money. On occasion, you may be prepared to take financial and business risks. You can get a rush from wheeling and dealing. Less positively, there can be conflicts over money or possessions.
Mars in 3rd House
Your thinking is quick and sharp and you like to participate in active discussions and debates. At times, your verbal manner can be too abrupt or cutting for others. Arguments and disputes with neighbors or siblings are possible. Some care is necessary when driving or undertaking short journeys.
Mars in 4th House
A fine line exists between your home being a place of high activity or a battlefield. You like to dominate your domestic scene and in extreme cases can come across to your family as a hothead or bully. Equally, a dominant parent can cause friction within the family. You have to watch how you express your physical energies around your home, as accidents are possible.
Mars in 5th House
A born romantic, you are ardent, passionate and enthusiastic about pursuing the object of your affection. Likewise, suitors can be just as ardent and determined in their pursuit of your affections. You have a competitive spirit and may excel in a sport or recreational activity. There can be a tendency to take risky gambles.
Mars in 6th House
You are an energetic and industrious worker. If you employ others, you need to be aware of potential conflicts and losses through staff. There can be accidents at work and danger to your health through impatience or impulsiveness. You may be susceptible to burns, bruises and fevers.
Mars in 7th House
You are drawn to energetic and enthusiastic people. Direct and competitive in your relationships, you need a partner that you can spar with. Quarrels and disagreements are frequent in your personal unions. Other people can annoy or irritate you if they interfere in your life. Partnerships tend to be made and broken quickly and impulsively.
Mars in 8th House
You have strong survival instincts and react quickly to threatening or risky situations. You can act recklessly and defiantly, yet you instinctively know how far to take things. Facing perilous situations can give you an adrenalin rush. You are prone to arguments over money and shared resources with personal or professional partners. Problems or disputes may arise over legacies and inheritances.
Mars in 9th House
You have an enthusiasm for learning and acquiring knowledge. However, you are not a person who just sits back and accepts what you're told or taught; you tend to challenge ideas and outlooks. Travel interests you and can broaden your horizons, however, you may need to take care physically when overseas. Legal conflicts are possible.
Mars in 10th House
You have high ambition, coupled with a strong desire and drive to do the best you can professionally. You are motivated by the urge to achieve goals and vocational aspirations. Competitive and energetic, you may do well in careers associated with the military, engineering, sport or corporate management. INTRODUCING
barista!abby x trainee!reader
warnings and disclaimers included the following
## content of sexual wlw content [mdni 18+], a slight cameo of ellie williams and joel miller, a classic frenemies with ellie pie and abby bear, a mention of parental death, a mention of male genitalia, smut with somewhat plot, softdom!abby, sorta loser!abby (cutie pie), sub!reader, public sex (break room of coffee shop), usage of petnames (pretty girl), praising, orgasm denial (once), fingering, nipple play, cunnilingus, face sitting, cum eating, aftercare (fucking finally i write some), strong language.
barista!abby whoâs also a student in business dreams of opening her own coffee shop in aspiration of honoring her father and love for books.
barista!abby who argues that sheâs killing two birds with one stone since sheâs building skill and working for her degree.
barista!abby whose such a SHOW OFF in front of girls she finds attractive, it so feeds into her ego when it works, and the girls are all ogling over her mastery at coffee art. yeah, itâs totally not the arms that are doing it for them.
barista!abby who hates that little red or whatever color haired fuck, ellie. the two have curated non-verbally a competition on basically whose dick is bigger. who makes the best batch, who makes this, who makes that. itâs never ending with these two.
barista!abby whoâs convinced ellie in another lifetime was a kingâs jester with her profound tricks that amused no one, but herself. the tricks themselves could threatened the womanâs head off alone, finding herself in a fetal position, in a pit of her own laughter. when abby eagerly sits on a unsuspecting âprizeâ during lunch, only to hear what can be described as a gust of wind. her flushed countenance instantly transformed into anger when the palm of her hand held a whoopee cushion.
barista!abby who went so warm when she saw you talking to the manager after ellie confirmed you were a new employee that if you stuck a thermometer under her tongue in that moment, itâd earn a hospital visit. and with ellie on sidelines teasing her for the state sheâs in wasnt helping, unnecessarily quoting if sheâs under weather, then rain on your home.
barista!abby who at the end of your shift on your first day surprised you with a free pastry as a warm, warm welcome. a small gesture, unfortunately, came with the price of a dispute with her boss, and money taken out of her weekâs pay. amidst said scolding, a surprising opportunity came up. a good one at that, to train you at the expense of ellieâs days off of work to visit in her father, joel in their hometown, wyoming. despite the fact that she hardly listened after the inviting words of you, buzzed her mind with endless possibilities. it had her practically salivating at the numerous scenarios swirling around in her head.
barista!abby whoâs a few weeks into training you, was losing her MIND over the taunting questions of you flirting or not. the causal strokes of your fingertips against her biceps alone were making the job harder. she had to get to the bottom of this, and like a detective corner you and have you plead for mercy.
barista!abby who, with an ironic twist, was usually consumed with thoughts, now found her mind solely preoccupied with you. her gaze fixed on the firm grip you maintained on the wooden handle, watching how your movements harmonized with its every swing as you rigorously mopped the floor. the purpose once held by the rag now seemed inconsequential as she leaned against the counter, arms folded, absentmindedly chewing on her lip. she imagined those hands of yours grasping onto her with the same unwavering hold they wielded when she stretched you out.
"take a picture, it'll last longer." you quipped, confidence resonating in your tone, and looking over your shoulder to show off the smirk that truly sells it. you knew she had been watching the entire time, and now had the satisfaction of catching in her act. she scoffed lightly, attempting to cover up her evident embarrassment, clearly trying to play it off.
âmy phoneâs in the locker, care to help?â she taunts.
barista!abby who watches you, utterly mesmerized by your frenzied movements against her fingers, pinned against the locker, using your hands as support to hold yourself up. the sounds you emitted resembled a blender running at full speed, loud enough to reach the nation if anyone had been nearby. thank god, it was just the two of you for the closing shift, dissipating the risk of scaring any customers away.
her ring and middle finger slid diligently in and out of you, while her right hand teased your hardened nipple between her pointer and thumb. her chin rests on your shoulder, leaving a trail of kisses on the bruises that dotted your neck. the gorgeous blues remained fixed on your mouth, agape to let her hear the sweet sounds of your pleasure. the corners of her lips curl into a satisfied smirk as she watched you tremble at the touch of her curling fingers on your g-spot.
abby's precise movements brought you closer and closer to the brink, the sensation was almost too much to bear. but just as you were about to succumb to the pleasure, her fingers slipped from your grasp. confused and frustrated, youâre flipped onto your back against the metal, meeting the gaze of the master puppeteer.
"you think iâm was gonna let you come and not see this gorgeous face?" she teased, admiring your disheveled state.
you frowned in protest, "i was just about to cum, asshole."
"careful, or you won't at all." she warned, taking your hand and leading you to a bench nearby. "sit on my face, pretty girl. no holding back." she commanded, her eyes filled with anticipation.
this time, with no complaints, you willingly complied with this new plan. abby's capable hands gripped the plush of your thighs, guiding you down onto her waiting mouth. the moment her tongue made contact, a moan tore itself from your larynx as a newfound sensation washes over you. your hand streams through her mane, tugging at the strands as she laps through your petal soft lips.
your hip, limited to their range of motion, rut back and forth against her prominent features, your body orchestrating itself towards itâs imminent. it wasn't long before the tension building in your abdomen snapped, sending you through the throes of your orgasm. your release painting the lower half of her face.
talk about a clean up in aisle seven!
barista!abby who makes sure youâre beyond comfortable, delicate caresses and praises when taking care of you. she, even going the extra mile, makes you hot coco, watching the liquid slosh within the mug, as she approaches you with a soft âthere you go.â in response, you flash a smile and gratitude. she stood there, hands on her hips, observing you savor the drink. a grin tugging at her lips as she took in the sight of her oversized jacket draped over your shoulders.
intrigued by her smile, you raise an eyebrow and playfully inquire, "hey, whatâs got you smiling over there?"
she chuckles softly, a light hue of pink painting her cheeks as her gaze momentarily wavers. looking everywhere but you, she brushes it off with a scoff, scratching her cheek. ânothing, justâŚâ there's a brief sight of contemplation before she inevitably hesitates, shaking her head with a sigh. "nothing, forget it.â she dismisses.
you let out a hearty laugh, setting your mug aside. leaning forward playfully, you tease gently. "are you really going shy on me? like werent you just eating me out a second ago.â a smirk adorning your features as you tilt your head.
her smile grows nervous, scratching the back of her neck as her blush deepens. mumbling a curse under her breath, she gathers the courage to ask, "i was just wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?"
iâll let you be the judge of that. part two?

Sebastian and William t spears trying to one up each other using reader
tw: noncon, double penetration, overstimulation, degradation, competition, size difference
All characters depicted are 18+
William has a very strong distaste towards Sebastian and demons in general, one he will make well known, and while Sebastian isn't as verbal about it, the feeling is very mutual, in fact he'd want to wring the Reaper's neck if it wasn't for his young master's orders and William's death scythe. But even two bitter adversaries are allowed to have a bit of friendly competition.
At first William will scoff at the idea of engaging in such a frivolous game, especially with a demon, but Sebastian knows how to push people's buttons without letting his butler facade crack. Sebastian will tease William and taunt him for apparently being inexperienced in bed, and not wanting to be outdone by such a foul beast, he ends up caving.
It isn't easy for the demon butler to pick up a poor unsuspecting lady or servant girl with his good looks and charms, one who'd be naive enough to follow a stranger like him just because he's pretty, although he wouldn't pick anyone demonic, that would either turn William off completely or excite the reaper a bit too much at the prospect of dominating a member of a species he so despises.
Sebastian won't give up on his venomous taunts against William even when he's balls deep inside of the young woman's pussy alongside the reaper, delighting in his attempts to make the cold and professional man lose his unbreakable composure, at least slightly.
"Hmm~? Is something the matter, Mister Reaper~? If you keep going that slowly you'll never be able to make our little morsel cum, much less achieve climax yourself..."
William isn't going to allow himself to lose to a horrid demon of all things, even if it's at something as insignificant as bringing some helpless human girl to climax, his hips thrusting up in a mechanical movement as he fucks into her, his cock sliding lewdly against's Sebastian's inside of the tight and wet space they're sharing.
The sensation of getting fucked by two different yet very similar supernatural beings is too much for the poor girl, and it's a wonder that she can withstand the dual penetration without passing out from the overwhelming sensations coursing through her. Sebastian with tease her as much as his butler facade will allow, while William is almost completely silent the entire time, making a few low noises whenever he cums.
Sebastian isn't going to allow himself to be bested by William at something he himself is already very good at, he has more experience with human women, having slept with multiple of them for information or just for the pleasure of it on many different occasions, and being the suave demon he is, he knows exactly what filthy thing to whisper in her ear to make her weak in the knees.
William doesn't want to lose this little game either, while he isn't as rough, sadistic, or vocal as Sebastian, he's much more precise, having enough knowledge of the human body due to his line of work to hit all the right spots to leave her a writhing and whimpering mess between the two hellish creatures, that is until the barrage of sensations taking over her body becomes too much to bear.
"Humans are so pitifully feeble. I counted only five orgasms and you've already fallen unconscious, such pathetic endurance. Well, it seems as this has concluded in a draw, demon..."
They're both rather disappointed that they weren't able to reach a definitive conclusion on which one of them is superior in bed, but it's a minor setback, they aren't mortal beings like humans are, so they have all the time in the world to settle this petty little dispute they are having.

â PREV. : 05 | DRUNK AND CIGARETTE SMOKE
âYouâre disgusting,â Sirius manages an indifferent glance over at his younger brother before resuming his miserable, unmoving position on the sofa â Regulusâ sofa. The obvious detachment Sirius has to the situation only stirs his younger brotherâs bubbling anger, âItâs almost been a full month! And youâre letting yourself rot away on my sofa; get a hold of yourself!â No response. Regulus shakes his head with a drawn out sigh, âyou usually donât stay around this long whenever thereâs an argument⌠I wonder whatâs happened this timeâŚâ
Deeming his older brother completely hopeless, Regulus returns to his sparse but sleek kitchen just as the kettle whistles its readiness to be poured for tea.  Â
Sirius breaths an audible sigh and grimaces at the stench of his breath. The mix of excessive alcohol, countless cigarettes and mountains of junk food didnât make for a good concoction on his tongue, definitely not for fresh breath. When was the last time he had brushed his teeth? He brings a hand up to push straggling strands of hair away from his view but grumbles when the curls had knotted up too much for him to comb his hair back uninterrupted. Stone grey eyes look down at his figure, stagnant and pale, weighed heavy from low spirits.Â
What followed the night you left their flat was the worst fight they have ever had. It was mainly between him and Remus while James remained in the background, too downhearted to contribute anything to the verbal warfare happening before him. He was spoiled with love since birth. As an only child with loving parents, who never fought in front of him, whenever Sirius and Remus argued, James was left paralysed with despair. It was always shocking to him how nasty those fights became; his parents never fought like that. Sirius could see it in his sweet hazel eyes that James wanted desperately to have peace but didnât know how to steer things in that direction. He had tried before, many times, to defuse the situation but both Sirius and Remus were too stubborn and hot-headed from the argument as well as their suddenly stark differences in opinion to back down.Â
As unfortunate as it is to think about, these fights happened often, recurring in the same exact way â originating from opposing opinions, primarily between him and Remus. They would try to keep it together but it would just keep piling up until someone snaps and then thereâs no dispelling their disputes. James either takes a side or none at all (usually the later) and Sirius storms out of the flat to stay with Regulus.Â
He should feel guilty for being such a burden to his younger brother. He should have more pride in himself than to allow Regulus to ever see him in such a depressed and unpleasant state. Lack of hygiene, self care and self maintenance manifests into something so repulsive and unsightly, Sirius would usually be back and making amends within a week or two â encouraged by his own lack of cleanliness and his commitment to run from the disease of laziness.Â
But itâs been more than that now. Nearly a month, Regulus says. Time just passes by, slow and tolerant, so unlike him, and yet, Sirius still managed to lose complete track of it. This is the longest theyâve ever had a dispute without reconciling. Â
His own stubbornness is definitely a factor. He had been right all along. If only they, mostly Remus, had listened to him. James was fully on board but Remus was stubbornly defiant and managed to convince the former otherwise.Â
âDo you think sheâs the type of person who would embrace such an unconventional relationship with open arms?!â
âThatâs not what Iâm saying, Moony,â Sirius grits his teeth, his inner thoughts and reasoning ached to be heard and let out coherently. In his mind, it all made sense to do things the way he suggests, so why couldnât his boyfriend understand him?! It doesnât even seem like heâs trying to listen to him at this point! âShe wonât understand if we donât say anything to her! We have to be forward and bold! Do it now before something happens!â
âNothing. Is. Going. To. Happen!â
âHow can you be so sure? We need to be honest with her, itâs not fair to her and itâs, frankly, deceitful to keep her in the dark about all this!â
âWe canât be too sure that sheâll accept us. If that happens then weâll never see her againâ I donât want that, do you?!âÂ
âWe wonât know unless we say something, do something, anything!â
âPlease just trust me, Siri,â Remus begs, his loud voice lowering to a soft plea, his beautiful brown eyes no longer fierce or piercing but kind and warm again, with a hint of fear. Sirius can sympathise with that creeping terror, an anxiety that wants to swallow you whole and keep you in a dark abyss for eternity, âI donât want to frighten herâŚâ
The first time, Sirius gave in, weak for his love and weak for the reasoning behind his proposal on the matter concerning you. The dark-haired tattooist couldnât fault his lover for that but, in hindsight, he should have argued his side more, maybe then, you wouldnât have disappeared like thatâŚ
âHey, your phone wonât stop pinging,â Regulus alerts, appearing out of thin air and surprising Sirius enough to sit up and alert with wide eyes, âwill you finally read their messages to you?â with some reluctance, Sirius reaches for his phone and proceeds to look through his messages while Regulus takes a seat opposite him, a steaming cup of tea in hand.
The younger Black brother was just about to begin reading another one of his classic novel favourites when a rush of air flew by him, ruffling the small strands of hair and whipping about the billowing steam from his mug of tea. Moments later, the sound of his shower turning on full blast echos through his flat and a smile graces his lips.Â
âItâs about timeâŚâ
Lingering guilt had plagued you all night long and you barely managed to get a wink of sleep. It, however, meant that you were able to better prepare lunch for the boys the following day. While cooking, you abandon all negative feelings to focus on only the good, not wanting any harmful emotions to diffuse into the food and saturate it with bad tastes. Your eyebags werenât a pretty sight but it was easily fixable with a touch of makeup.Â
You tried to look your best for the day. Fortunately, the early summer sun inspired your motivations further. Yes, youâve made the terrible mistake of selfishly pushing them away to nurse your own battered soul and unrequited feelings, but this was your time to make amends, to make things right⌠to see Sirius again.Â
You never felt right after you accused him of cheating on Remus and James with each other, only to find out that he was far more loving and loyal than that. You were embarrassed and ashamed to have ever thought so negatively about him, jumping to conclusions like an immature, thoughtless child. It was wonderful seeing James and Remus again, your heart was practically soaring in your chest as it disregarded all lingering feelings of misery and dejection. But now, your chest felt incredibly tight as your heart ached to catch a simple glimpse of Sirius. Â
You carefully pack away the lovingly prepared food and desserts into your largest, most durable shopping bag before getting dressed. It was only natural that you managed to make more than you usually made for the boys, seeing as you wanted to spoil them rotten after being so childish the last few weeks. Since the weather was pleasant, you opted for a cute mini dress with a light, flowy material that was comfortable and soft. Over top, you wore a cropped cardigan that had long sleeves, enough to reach past your fingertips. For jewellery, you wore a simple necklace and slipped into a strappy pair of mid-heeled platforms that werenât too tall. Casual but cute.Â
Approaching the studio doors, your grip on the strap of your bag tightens and your breath hitches. They hadnât taken the notice down and the bold, red letters of their âCLOSEDâ sign glared at you angrily.Â
Were they inside? Should you knock? Neither Remus or James actually agreed to your sudden choice to meet for lunch the night before. Did this mean that they didnât want you to be in their lives anymore?... But⌠but you wanted to make things right! You wanted to apologise! You want to be friends with them again! Youâll tell them right away â tell them how you would do anything just to remain by their side, even if itâs just as a friend, youâll be happy for them! You wonât be selfish anymore, you wonât covet anything more than friendship with them, thatâs all you want! Not that theyâve ever heard of your true desiresâ
âWell?â A familiar voice speaks up behind you, putting an abrupt end to your panicked inner monologue, âArenât you going to knock?âÂ
Swiftly spinning in place, you smile brightly at the biker and tattooist standing before you, dressed in all black, with heavy, lace-up boots and his signature leather jacket, âSirius!âÂ
He doesnât breathe a word to you, eyeing your hefty bag before briefly meeting your eyes and making his way over. His long strides made it so that he reached you in no time but he didnât stop. With a light gasp, he had backed you up into the left of their studioâs double-door front entrance. You held your breath and kept your eyes shut tight, not knowing what to do as your heart pounded deafeningly against your eardrums.Â
A moment passes and you feel his hand brush against yours before your portly bag of packed food is taken from you. A wave of relief washed over your aching shoulder as the weight disappeared but such a diminutive alleviation of discomfort couldnât swamp the trepidation in your heart. Sirius was different.Â
âSiriââ
âLetâs head inside,â he had opened the right hand door and easily slipped through with your bag. Alone and in the quiet, you felt like crying. You wanted to cry, desperately but you knew that it would offer little to no reassurance. So, with a heavy heart, you followed Sirius inside and closed the studio door behind you.Â
The air was stale but, in it, lingered a familiar scent that you had come to love, it was a clean, almost clinical smell from the regular use of disinfectant and bleach. You love this parlour so much, it was filled with so many good memories, ones of soft affection through tender words and gentle caresses. Despite the earlier interaction, you couldnât help but smile just from the wave of romantic sentiment washing over you.Â
âYouâre here,â Remus greets with a tired smile as James sits on the opposite end of the sofa with a shy grin directed towards you, his hazel eyes looking elsewhere.
âSorry if Iâm late,â you managed a weak smile, âI didnât know if the door was open or not. Thankfully, Sirius was there to help me in,â Sirius didnât sit down despite the many available seating spaces and chose to lean his back against a far wall, instead. James couldnât meet your eyes and Remus was sneakily massaging his temple as he leaned his face against his large hand, âletâs eat, shall we? I hope you guys are hungry,â Â
It was never this awkward. Or quiet. Especially when sharing your homemade lunch together. James would usually be giving you endless praise through large, mid-chewed mouthfuls while Sirius laughed at the ridiculous sounds and faces heâd pull trying to speak coherently through the mouthful of food, and Remus would shake his head, his amusement by the display evident in the warm glimmer of his eyes. However, James doesnât have as big of an appetite today and Sirius stands alone with his tupperware, barely touching his food. Remus is the only one eating a substantial amount besides you. Although, youâve gradually slowed your own chewing.Â
What have you done?...Â
What happened to all of you?
Your shame brought your gaze down, making your head weigh heavier than usual as you give up on communicating anything with the boys. This wasnât how it was meant to goâŚwhat should you do now? The pain in your heart was unbearable.Â
Shoulders slumped and confidence dried up, you struggled to think of what to do. You should have prepared a speech or something. It was naive of you to think that simply coming over with a homemade lunch would fix anything. Things are never going to be the same, no matter how much you hope and pray for them to be.Â
Youâre hopeless⌠completely and utterly hopelessâŚ
This was your worst fear come to life. You had feared rejection but seeing them unloving towards each other, barely communicating and broken apart, your stomach collapsed in on itself as your heart fell to a million pieces. You didnât utter a single word of loving them romantically aloud and yet, you still managed to get in between their relationship. This was a sentiment of how selfish of a person you are.Â
How could you do this to them?! They were your friends, who saved you from the worst night of your life, and you repay them like this?! Shameful. Disgusting. You donât think you could ever look at yourself in the mirror again. Â
The skirt of your mini dress blurs on your lap and you have to bite your lip to keep from sobbing out loud. The tears, however, you couldnât stop them. Hopefully, theyâre all too distracted to see you silently weeping and you can gather yourself before turning tail and running out of there.Â
Today is a complete disasterâ
âDonât cry, angel, please!â James jumps up and rushes to your side, kneeling down at your feet as he takes your hands in his and tries to meet your gaze through the puddle of tears in your eyes. His words immediately catch Remus and Siriusâ attention and they both begin to make their way over, evident worry swimming in their eyes but you refuse to acknowledge any of that as your mind drowns in all manner of negative thought. Â
You shake your head, hearing the flurry of footfalls around you and wishing them away silently, âI shouldnât have come here todayâŚâ you whisper.Â
âWhat was that?â James patiently asks, voice soft and sweet and kind, it makes you want to fall into his arms.
âIâm sorry,â you speak clearer and stand abruptly, âenjoy the lunch,â the haste and sorrow in your shaking voice makes their heart drop and theyâre brought back to that fateful night once more. You donât meet their eyes as you turn and push past them to leave, almost running through the hallway of their studio just to reach the door and make a quick escape.Â
âTHIS!â Siriusâ roaring voice suddenly cuts through the studio like a knife, making you stop in your tracks and turn around slowly. The door to the lounge room was still open, before it Sirius and Remus stood in an aggressive confrontation, both taking on a defensive stance as they faced each other, all while James remained in the background, clutching at his head as he slumped forward on the sofa, âTHIS IS WHAT I MEANT! IF YOU HAD JUST LISTENED TO MEââÂ
âI DIDNâT SAY WHAT I SAID WITHOUT REASON SIRIUS! YOU KNOW MY EXACT THOUGHTS ABOUT ALL THIS!â Remus shouts back, the veins in his neck bulging out from his fierce anger, the blood rushing in his cheeks making him look just about ready to violently explode.Â
âBUTââ
ââYOU CANâT FAULT ME FOR THAT!â Remus continues, not allowing Sirius to speak.  Â
âWELL YOU CANâT FAULT ME FOR MY REASONING EITHER!â
Youâre horrified at the scene. Sirius and Remus look ready to tear each other apart as James looks on hopelessly, not knowing what to do or how to diffuse the situation, completely torn between supporting one or the other. Without thinking, you rush back and skid to a stop between the two hot-blooded men. Their fuming rage was like a turbulent inferno whose flames licked viciously at your skin, ready to burn you and spread the hostility.Â
âThe both of you need to calm down!â you shout, pushing them away from each other and creating a safe distance between. Your tears had already run dry, replaced by the trembling terror shaking your limbs.Â
âDonât worry about us Dove,â Remus manages to voice through gritted teeth, his glowering eyes never leaving Siriusâ, âyou can leave and weâll sort this out,â
âSort this out like usual huh?ââ
ââDonât taunt me, Sirius,â
âThat wonât solve anything, you idiot!â Sirius flings his arms up and James just barely manages to pull you away from being accidentally hit. Neither of the two seem to notice and James expresses his apology in lovingly nuzzling your temple, his lips puckering to kiss your skin but refraining and stepping away abruptly. You try not to feel the heartache his actions elicit in you.
âSHUT UP!â youâve never heard Remus sound so angry and venomous before, it makes your heart stutter in fear and worry. You canât leave now; this disagreement canât end well without some form of intervention and James isnât fairing too well with that â he needs someone there for him too, just to feel, somewhat, grounded through all of this, âShe doesnât have to hear all of this!â
âWe wouldnât have to be saying âall of thisâ if you had. Just. LISTENED. TO. ME!â
âYouâre being ridiculous!â
âRidiculous?!â Sirius growls lowly, his countenance scrunching up into a foul expression âan antithesis to his elegant features, âIâll show you!â it was then that Sirius turns to face you and approaches with purpose in his long strides, unstopping like he did earlier when outside the studio.Â
âSIRIUSâ!â
Sirius backs you up into the wall behind you, ââEverything Could Have Been As Easy As Doing This!â you didnât know what to prepare yourself for but Sirius firmly gripping your chin and pulling you into a deep kiss was not one of them. In your shock, you let out a surprised but muffled moan, slowly falling into the blissful embrace and reciprocating eagerly.Â
Did you faint earlier? Was this all a dream?...Â
âŚDream or not, you like this very much! Â
James and Remus watch at the bold display, disbelief shining clear in their eyes as Sirius has his way with you. But you donât see them, you donât see anyone or anything, all you know is that Sirius kisses like an experienced lover from fantasy and he wasnât shy about loving you up. Not knowing what to do with your hands, you let Sirius guide them over your head to cuff your wrists together with his large hand, his other snaking around your waist to pull you closer and deepen the kiss.Â
He tastes like spearmint gum and smokey cigarette smoke, his lips tinted in cherry lip balm for sweetness. What an addictive taste. You canât get enough.Â
But air is a necessity and just as you were beginning to run out of breath, Sirius pulls away, panting heavily. He doesnât wait for a single second to pass before diving his head into your neck, where he peppers feathery but fervid kisses along your sensitive skin and smiles to himself when you slip out a moan. You sound beautiful. He needs to hear more. Sirius doesnât stop, he sucks and licks and kisses and nuzzles along your neck like the tease he is, drawing out every quivering whimper and pretty moan you were desperately trying to contain.Â
You keep your eyes tightly shut, too embarrassed to meet the eyes of Remus or James. Their gaze on you left behind a searing, phantom mark that developed into a displeasing itch. An itch that could only be satisfied if they kissed you too.
âŚSo selfish. God! When will you stop?!
Ashamed of your gradually increasing volume, you seal your mouth shut in a stubborn attempt to suppress your pleasure. How did his lips and tongue feel so good on your skin? His touch made your knees weak and your legs shake, without his support, you donât think you would stay standing for long.Â
Just as you were able to swallow every embarrassing sound that tried to escape, James was beside you, his warm breath on your cheek as he silently urged Sirius to give way, âyou need help staying quiet, angel?â he whispers and doesnât wait for an answer, briefly meeting your eyes before heâs closing them to kiss you sweetly. It started off sweet. Sweet and loving like James before suddenly becoming very dominating and overwhelming. You were being devoured and the thought was undeniably arousing. They were both on you, Sirius kissing away at your neck as James savoured the taste of your lips before bullying his way into your awaiting mouth. He swallowed your moans for you as Sirius defiantly persisted, urging you with seductive lips to make more. Â
Overwhelmed but so content.Â
You were drowning in bliss and you never wanted to break away from it.Â
âDIDNâT I SAY!â Remus shouts, stopping all activity and leaving you strung up high as the boys slowly pull away, not too far but enough for all of you to meet Remusâ unreadable stare. The boys look over their shoulder to observe their commanding lover, their large frames tense before moving their eyes down and slowly smirking, the tension evaporating off their figures as youâre left to rebuild another tower of anxiety from your lower stomach, âDidnât. I. Say. We. Were. Going. To. Savour. Her?â
What?
Your shocked, wide-eyed stare meets Remusâ cool and, almost, unfeeling gaze. Once again, your knees buckled under you and you were caught by Sirius and James. Held in place by their hot, firm hands and the press of their toned physiques.Â
What did he just say?
Unable to keep his stare, your eyes slowly fall down the tall brunetteâs figure. Capturing his beautiful, full lips; taking in the delicious column on his neck; observing the wide expanse of his shoulders and chest; drifting down to gulp at his veiny arms and hands before landing on...Â
Oh~
A/N : no fluff, but something better right? a little sneak peak on how i write spicy things but it's readable hehe~ Â

What if it's not Tommy's Baggage?
So i've seen a lot of speculation that the baggage that will get between Buck and Tommy is going to be Tommy's baggage with Gerrard. But think that may be a misdirection - I think it may be Buck's mustachioed baggage that intrudes into their relationship instead.
If the show wanted to make Tommy's hazing of Hen and Chim the central issue, it would have spent 8x01 reminding the audience of just how brutal Gerrard was back then in order to drive home why Tommy siding with him then isn't something Buck can overlook. Gerrard's racism and misogyny would be on more overt display and Tommy would likely be more wishy-washy about him. Instead, the show has emphasized Gerrard's authoritarianism (and diminished his actual bite as a villain) in order to set him up as a better enemy for Buck (and yes, we should talk about whether that's a good move or if it diminishes what Hen and Chim went through - just not in this meta). The point of Tommy is Buck's growth and Buck breaking up with someone who betrayed his friends is very similar to what happened with Taylor. The show may think of it as retreading old ground.
So, maybe instead we're about to dig into what happened in 7x04 and who Buck was really jealous of. The first few moments of the birthday scene tonight were a misdirection - the viewer was meant to think that Buck and Tommy were doing something together, only for Eddie to literally come to sit between them because the entire scene was actually all about him (and Buck and Christopher). And that's kind of the story of Buck and Tommy's elationship (it's almost a direct parallel to the first Buck and Tommy scene in 7x04 - Buck and Tommy were getting along after the tour and then, boom, in came Eddie).
The show may frame the baggage more around Buck's fear of abandonment and fear that he doesn't deserve the love he wants. Coming on the heels of his attacking Gerrard because he denigrated him verbally, that would make sense. But ever since 7x04, those issues have been tied to Eddie - they're why Buck couldn't face up to his feelings about him. So, I suspect Eddie will come into their fight somehow (I think that's also why, in the US Weekly interview, Oliver didn't mention Eddie as someone he would be leaning on during the dispute with Tommy. Heck, I think that's why Oliver talked about Buck leaning on other people rather than how he and Tommy specifically might work out a disagreement - because this disagreement isn't one that can be worked out. If Tommy isn't it, he isn't it (neat parallel to Eddie and Ana's relationship there)).

AN: Yes! Yes, I can! I wanna give this man so much loving! đ¤đ
Ko-Fi || Masterlist || Request Info
Content: Fluff, insecurities, (mild) sexual themes, age gap, implied nudity.
Please Remember: You can, and you will.
Deep, steady breathing fills the room as you lay together. Ozzie ran hot, so the silky sheets beneath you served two purposes: to feel luxurious and to stay cool under his heated skin.
Speaking of, once you rolled onto your side, you couldnât help but run your splayed fingers over him. Enjoying the warmth of his body as you trace the roundness of his belly, then his chest, twirling your fingers in and out of his dark body hair.
Oz grins lopsidedly, exposing his wicked golden teeth. You grin back, enjoying the quiet moment together.Â
âIâm gonna go get us something to clean up with.â You lean in close, nuzzling your nose against his before delivering a kiss to his lips, one which he greedily accepts. âDo you need me to get you anything else?â
His hand finds its way to yours, holding it to his chest, keeping you in place. âDonât you worry about getting up, sweetheart. You let Oz look after you.â
The mattress shuffles under your combined weights as Oz attempts to sit up. Stubbornly, you refuse to move, using your hand to keep him down. It's sweet, the way he always wants to look after you, but sometimes you wish heâd let you do the little things for him without dispute, if only so you could show him how much you appreciate the âroyal treatmentâ.
âCome on, Ozzie. Your brace is already off.â You try to sound stern, even narrowing your eyes in a half-hearted glare. âI wonât take long.â
Unwilling to verbally admit defeat, he releases your hand, lips pulling into a begrudging pout as he settles back onto the comforter.
True to your word, itâs barely a minute before you return to the room, climb back on the bed and begin patting him down with a small towel.
âI must have done something real good in a past life to deserve you, darlinâ.â When you look up at him, heâs watching you intently; his eyes are tender, admiring, but the remainder of his face lacks any real warmth.Â
âOr maybe I was really bad.â You flirt. All clean, you discard the towel at the end of the bed and place yourself close by his side, supporting yourself with one arm to allow you a full view of his face and body.
âOh, youâre bad, alright.â A smile returns to his lips, his chest shakes under a small chuckle, but it's short-lived. âSeriously though, what are you doing, wasting yourself on an old man like me?â
âWasting myself? Ozzie⌠Thatâs nonsense.â The skin of his scarred cheek feels soft to the touch. âYou know I adore you. Thereâs nobody else Iâd rather be with.â
âYouâre sweet, baby.â He replies, turning his head, inhaling your scent and placing a chaste kiss on your palm.
âIâm sweet on you, Ozzie.â You coo, turning his head back, allowing you the clearance to lean down and lay your own kiss on his lips. âBesides, nobody else has ever, or could ever, make me feel the way you do.â
From beneath you, he snakes his arms around your waist and tugs, causing you to fall flat onto him. Strong fingers massage the curve of your spin. âHow I managed to get a thing like you to fall for me is beyond me, but I sure as hell ainât lettinâ you go.â

The Owl House And Restorative Justice
At the end of Season 1 of The Owl House, it is revealed that Lilith, the main overarching antagonist of that season, was the one to curse her sister Eda, one of the protagonists, to win a tournament when they were teenagers. This information causes Eda to fly into a screaming rage and attack Lilith, and understandably so.
Edaâs curse is essentially a chronic illness, one that, in Edaâs own words, has ruined her life, being the reason sheâs considered a social outcast and why, before meeting King and Luz, she hadnât gotten close to anyone in years. In season 2, itâs revealed that the curse is why she pushed away her partner Raine to the point that they broke it off with her, and that during a particularly bad flareup, she accidentally maimed her own father, leaving him half blind and with permanent nerve damage to his hands, making him unable to continue working as a Palisman carver. The curse has ruled Edaâs life for decades now, so to Eda, this is the ultimate betrayal.
In the first episode of Season 2, Lilith has defected from the Emperorâs Coven, split the curse between Eda and herself to mitigate the symptoms for her sister, and has moved in with Eda at the Owl House. While Lilith herself still feels guilty and feels she has to make it up to Eda, everyone else, Eda included, has seemingly either forgiven her or chosen to look past it. Eda even makes fun of her for feeling bad about cursing her, and Lilithâs guilt is seemingly absent for the rest of the series.Â
The response to this was⌠Less than stellar, shall we say. A lot of people were angry, saying Lilith got away with her crimes without even a slap on the wrist, and that Edaâs forgiveness of her was far too sudden.
This isnât the first time weâve seen this kind of critique. Amity spent years bullying Willow after her parents forced her to break off their friendship, and when she began trying to mend that relationship, the response from fans was that Willow should have been a lot more angry at Amity, and that they went back to being besties far too soon. Iâve even seen this criticism leveled at Hunter for the things he did while working for Belos, at Vee for impersonating Luz for months to trick her mother, and at Luz for hiding the fact that she helped Philip find the Collector from her friends. And it does seem strange for the show to keep tripping on this same point again and again.
Except, itâs not really. Because I think that, when viewing this show from a different angle, those supposed flaws are actually symptoms of something very important to understand â The Owl House operates on a system of crime and punishment that is very different from our worldâs.
More specifically, our world mostly utilizes retributive justice. The world of The Owl House utilizes restorative justice.
So first, what do those terms mean? Broadly, theyâre two different forms of handling interpersonal disputes, or dealing with crime.Â
Retributive justice is the one our current justice system uses, where the focus is primarily on punishing the perpetrator. Retributive justice can mean detention, suspension, expulsion, jail time, monetary fines, some kinds of community service, exile, or in more severe cases, corporal punishment or the death penalty. Itâs the lens most people view the world through, where if someone hurts you, hurting them back is the correct response.
Restorative justice is a very different approach, where you instead focus on helping the victim recover from what happened, and rehabilitating the perpetrator to prevent this from happening again. Restorative justice can look like verbal or written apologies, monetary compensation for costs and trauma, therapy for both victim and perpetrator, education for the perpetrator, mediation between victim and perpetrator, a restraining order, etc.Â
When viewed through a retributive lens, The Owl House lets its characters get away with a lot of shit. Lilith cursing Eda, Hunter rounding up Palismen knowing theyâll be killed, Amity tormenting Willow for years, itâs all stuff that, in a retributive environment, they should be punished for, and theyâre just not. Eda is only genuinely angry at Lilith for two scenes, Amity and Willow fix their relationship very quickly once Amity starts making amends, and Hunter isnât punished at all.Â
However, I believe the story of The Owl House is best viewed not through a retributive lens, but through a restorative lens.
Letâs look at the Lilith-example again. Lilithâs offense was cursing Eda, which she did because she wanted to win a spot in the Emperorâs Coven. Knowing Eda was better than her, she cast a curse on her, thinking it would only last for a day. But when the time came, Eda forfeited the match, soon after which she transformed into the Owl Beast and was pelted with rocks until she ran. The curse turned out to be very permanent, and Lilith spent the next 20 years trying to fix her mistake by working for Belos to try to capture Eda, since he promised to heal her curse.Â
However, when she finally succeeded, Belos went back on his promise. Instead of healing Eda, he ordered her to be publicly executed. When Lilith protested, Belos essentially told her to shut up, that it was the Titanâs will, and left her there.Â
So, having realized her method of fixing her mistake has gone real bad, Lilith sneaks down to the Conformatorium to free Eda herself, but arrives too late and finds Luz instead. After a brief fight they end up teaming up, and Lilith leads Luz to the elevator, but they are captured by Belos and Lilith is thrown into the cage with Eda. There, she restores Edaâs partially petrified body, and after fleeing with her, Luz and King, uses a spell to split Edaâs curse evenly between their two bodies.
From a restorative justice point of view, Lilith has done pretty much everything she reasonably could do to fix things. Sheâs denounced the Emperorâs Coven, returned Owlbert to Luz, helped Luz find the elevator to the execution platform, saved Eda from petrification, apologized to Eda, and while thereâs no way for her to cure Edaâs curse entirely, she took on half of the curse at great expense to her own health, in order to ease Edaâs symptoms.Â
Eda isnât angry anymore because in her eyes, Lilith has already fixed things with her. Punishing her more at this point is pointless. What more could Lilith do, really? What other lessons could she learn? The only thing that punishment would bring at this point would be more suffering.Â
Letâs look at another example: Amity and Willow.
Amityâs offense was breaking off her friendship with Willow because she was a late-bloomer, bullying her for years, and allowing her friends to do so too. Willow is left with horrible self-esteem issues because of this, and combined with her failing grades, turned her into a horribly shy and withdrawn wallflower (no pun intended). After sheâs moved to the plant track she starts actually getting better, but Amity and Boscha especially continue to torment her. While Amityâs bullying of Willow does peter out over time, Willow is clearly still extremely resentful of her. In an attempt to make Willow forget their friendship, Amity accidentally sets most of Willowâs memories on fire, leaving her confused, amnesiac, and unable to grasp basic concepts like that chairs are for sitting in.
Luz pushed Amity into fixing Willowâs brain by going into her mind together and piecing her memories back together. There, the Inner Willow revealed what happened to Luz and the audience.
At this point, Amity shows her that her parents were actually the ones who forced her to end the friendship because they didnât think Willow was a suitably powerful or influential friend, threatening to make sure Willow would never get accepted into Hexside if Amity didnât force her to leave. Amity then apologizes to Willow for going along with it, and for the bullying, and vows to make sure her friends never mess with Willow again.Â
Willow accepts her apology, but also makes it clear that, while itâs a start, sheâs not yet ready to accept Amity in her life again. Restorative justice has not been fully attained, because to Willow, Amity hasnât fixed everything â Boscha and her squad are still bullying her, and still consider Amity one of them. This changes two episodes later, when Amity tells Boscha to grow the fuck up when she starts bullying Willow again, and joins her and Luzâs Grudgby team despite her personal issues to get Boscha to back off. Willow doesnât make a grand gesture of forgiveness in this episode, but it is after this point where the two become comfortable around eachother again.Â
Did Willow forgive Amity too quickly for years of trauma? Maybe. If she had chosen to continue keeping Amity at a distance I certainly wouldnât have blamed her. But in the end, Amity fixed the mess she caused as best she could, and has proven herself to want to be a better person, to want to be Willowâs friend again. She worked hard to prove herself to be a person worth trusting, and Willow decided to give that trust a chance again.
And while they did become friends again, that friendship was clearly still affected by what happened, which led to bumps that the two of them had to work through. Like in Labyrinth Runners, where Amityâs overprotectiveness over Willow makes Willow feel like Amity thinks sheâs incompetent, and still only sees her as the helpless person she used to be.Â
Willow continuing to be mad at Amity and punishing her for what she did wouldnât be an unreasonable reaction, but it wouldnât have fixed anything. It would certainly have an impact on Amity, seeing her former best friend rejecting her attempts to make up for what she did, but the hurt on both sides would have continued festering, because deep down, Willow missed Amity too.Â
In Hunterâs case, thereâs the question of whether he can even be held responsible for his actions. The Palisman-kidnapping in specific was explicitly done under duress â if he failed he would face verbal and physical abuse, and be threatened with his nightmare scenario: getting thrown out of the Emperorâs Coven.Â
And thatâs not an empty threat either. Hunter has no magic, and Belos has drilled it into him that witches without magic have no future. Without the Emperorâs Coven, his only future prospects would be starving to death on the streets or wasting away in prison. Either way, Hunter would be alone, without family or friends, without a job or job prospects, without anyone to turn to for help. Any child would be terrified of that. Hunter wasnât always acting on direct orders â in fact he defied direct orders to stay in his room in Eclipse Lake to go look for Titanâs Blood, and then again in Hollow Mind to arrest the rebels. But he made those choices based on the idea that Belos wouldnât want him if he was a failure, and that he needed a chance to prove that he could still be useful.
And contrary to popular belief, Hunter does know right from wrong. He has a very strong moral compass, heâs just been forced to ignore it in favor of doing whatever the Emperor wants. To shut up that little voice telling him heâs doing the wrong thing, he uses whatâs called a thought-terminating cliche, a statement that feels so fundamentally true that the argument need not continue. In Hunterâs case, that statement is âItâs for the greater good.â Sure, kidnapping his new friends and abducting Palismen to feed to the Emperor and threatening someone whoâs been nothing but kind to him to take the portal key from her girlfriend and justifying terrorism makes his stomach feel like he swallowed a cactus and saying it out loud makes him sound like a horrible person â but itâs for the greater good. Heâs doing it to serve Belos, and Belos knows whatâs best.Â
So by the time Hunter is out of active danger and able to rest and recover from what happened to him⌠what would further punishment accomplish? He already knows that he did fucked up shit while working for the EC, and heâs proven time and time again that while heâs not fighting for Belosâs approval, heâs actually a genuinely kind-hearted kid. Punishing him now would likely cause him to react very poorly, because heâs been at the wrong end of that stick so often that heâs developed severe PTSD because of it.
And if you think restorative justice is still in order â Hunter is currently hyperfixated on making sure Belos can never hurt anyone again, and for the long term, he has expressed that he wants to become a Palisman carver when he grows up. While it wonât bring back the Palismen that were killed, it will help the current Palisman population recover and reintroduce Palismen to witches who may have had to give up theirs.Â
When viewed through this lens, the writing of The Owl House starts to make more sense. As a show, it is extremely forgiving towards its characters â theyâre still held accountable for their actions, but as long as theyâre willing to grow and learn and fix the damage they caused, they are very quickly forgiven.Â
However, I do understand why these writing choices can be⌠controversial, so to say. Because it doesnât feel very satisfying, does it? When someone hurts you on purpose, your first impulse would be to try to hurt them back, thatâs just how people work.Â
Thatâs the hardest thing to come to terms with when you become an advocate for prison abolition for example â youâre not just arguing for freeing a guy who got 5 years because a cop found weed in his pockets, youâre arguing for the release, and most importantly, the humanity of some of the most vile, disgusting people this planet has ever produced. Even now, when someone commits a truly awful crime and gets sent to prison for life, my first thought is âGood, I hope they rot in there.â But thatâs not justice. Thatâs just revenge. And revenge is not something we as a society should want to build our justice system on.
Itâs not satisfying to see Lilith go from using Luz as a human shield in her fight against Eda to sleeping on the couch in Edaâs house within 2 episodes. Itâs not satisfying to see Willow let Amity back into her life when Amity has hurt her so badly before, or to see Hunter become romantically involved with Willow after he literally abducted her the first time they met. But that satisfaction isnât really the point. Revenge is satisfying in the moment, but an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, and if someone shows a genuine willingness to change, itâs often better to give them a chance to.
However, my final point is about what happens when this approach fails. Because not everyone is willing to change. Some people, when faced with the consequences of their actions, decide to dig their heels in and refuse to admit fault, or blame the victim(s), or use those same thought-terminating cliches that Hunter used to justify their actions, âI was just following ordersâ being a big one.
And thus, we come to Belos.
If Belos showed a willingness to change, a genuine one, not an attempt at manipulation, should he be given the chance to? That vengeful part of me is VERY empathetically saying no. But logically, reasonably, he should be given that chance, if only because heâs a human being and no human being deserves to be mistreated. That doesnât mean his victims are obligated to forgive him or be around him again, in fact I think that, for the sake of Hunterâs mental health, Belos should stay as far away from him as humanly possible. But he should be given the chance to start over, to truly better himself and do something good with the rest of his life.
But Belos isnât willing to change.Â
Belos is a product of a bad environment and grew up with a cult-like mentality and hatred for witches that he had to adopt for his own safety. Itâs hard to break out of that mentality, but not impossible. Case in point: Caleb. The tragedy of Belosâs character to me is that he had so many chances to change, so many people to help him make that leap, but all of the people who offered him that help ended up dead by his hands because he couldnât handle the idea that he may have been wrong.
At this point, Belos is stuck. Changing would mean not only giving up on his lifeâs work, but acknowledging to himself that everything heâs done, mutilating his body, killing his brother, slaughtering thousands and installing himself as God-Emperor of a population he despises more than anything in order to facilitate a genocide, was completely pointless.
He canât admit that to himself. Especially the thing about Calebâs death. Heâs sunk-cost-fallacied himself so far into a corner that all he can really do when faced with opposing viewpoints is dig his heels in even deeper and lash out in a rage at anyone who challenges him. Even now, when his body is literally falling apart at the seams, heâs still trying to commit witch-genocide, because itâs all he has.Â
Restorative justice doesnât work in this case, because the perpetrator needs to be receptive to it. Logically you would assume the show would default to retributive justice, and characters like Willow and Camila do take a very vengeful glee in imagining themselves beating the snot out of Belos. But right now, the primary motivation of the Hexsquad and Hunter in particular when it comes to Belos is to end the threat he poses. As long as Belos is alive and free, he will continue to hurt and kill people, and if he canât be talked down, he needs to be either contained or killed to prevent him from causing more harm.
The Owl House provides, in my opinion, a very nuanced take on restorative justice. It shows how it works in action, how different situations impact what it looks like, and what happens when itâs simply not an option. Itâs not the most satisfying story to tell your audience, because when someone hurts our babies we want them to suffer, no matter how sorry they say they are. But in this case, I think that sacrificing that bit of audience comfort is worth it to tell the story like this.

A/Nâ§âË A lil TR x Sarah bonding until it all goes to shit of course, BUT A LOT OF GOOD THINGS HAPPEN NEXT CHAPTER! Sorry for the angst streak :/ also, the scene between TR and JJ is loosely based on this scene between Brooke and Lucas from One Tree Hill.
ËËË series masterlist ËËË
THE SOUND OF CHICKENS CLUCKING AND KIARA PLUCKING THE STRINGS ON HER UKELELE SOUNDED IN THE QUIET OF THE YARD. The four of you â you, JJ, Kiara, and Pope, were in the surf shack at The Chateau. It was early in the morning.
JJ was waxing his board as Kiara played her instrument, you and Pope standing idly by. You were starting to get worried. Itâd been almost twelve hours since your confrontation with Shoupe and nothing seems to have changed. You hoped it wasnât all for nothing.Â
But another question was on your tongueâŚ
â...Has anyone seen Sarah?â You asked, eyes squinting from the sunlight. Everyone looked at each other for a brief moment until Kiara broke the silence.
âLast thing she said was that she was going to meet Wheezie.â You hummed at her words.
You and Kie hadnât spoken nor looked one another in the eye since last night, so it was safe to assume you werenât the best of friends right now. To be honest, you havenât been for a while. It was just so weird. There was a time you considered her one of your best friends. But now you couldnât even face each other without some kind of cat fight ensuing. And you feared these disputes might go from verbal to physical if the pressure reached that pointâŚ
âThatâs a lot of wax on your board.â Pope spoke, interrupting JJ as he waxed his surfboard. The blonde paused in his movements, side eyeing his friend. âIf you put too much, itâs gonna be slippery.â
â...Are you tellinâ me how to wax my board, Pope?â JJ asked, standing up straight.
âIâm just saying, thatâs a lot of wax-â
âNo no no, youâre tellinâ me how to wax my board. Are you kidding me?â
âIâm just saying thatâs a colossal waste of wax.â Pope shrugged sassily, turning away from the blonde.
âGuys,â Kiara butted in, looking between the two. âReally? Can you go two minutes without-â A car horn cut off the tail end of her sentence. The sound making all of you freeze. That was a very distinct horn. A horn that only belonged to a certain vehicle. A certain vehicle that belonged to a certain boy.
None of you said anything else, almost all completely still and waiting to hear it again. When the sound came again, you were the first to turn and run towards it. You rounded the corner of the surf shack just in time to see the Twinkie kicking up dust in front of The Chateau, a dearly missed brunette behind the wheel.
âNo fucking way!â You exclaimed breathlessly as you ran towards the vehicle, almost tripping over your own feet. âJombee!â
âGuess whoâs out of the clink?!â He smiled, hopping out of the passenger seat. You knocked the wind out of the boy when you threw yourself into him, squeezing him as tightly as you could. He returned the gesture in full, the both of you laughing into each otherâs shoulders as the others approached.
âAre you kidding me?!â
âAm I dreaming?â
âMy boyâs out of the can!â They all joined in on the hug when they got close enough, the five of you piled in on each other. You werenât sure if what you said worked or it was by the grace of some other miracle that John B was here right now but you didnât care.
âHowâd you do it?â JJ asked as you all pulled back from the hug, forming a circle. âYou bust out?â
âNo, actually,â John B said matter of factly. âThey dropped the charges.â Just then, three of them turned to you with knowing smiles on their faces, John B following their gazes like a lost child. âWhat?â
âIt worked.â Pope told him simply.
âWhat? What worked?â
âOur little pogue princess here used her magic to get your ass out of jail, Bree.â JJ celebrated, nudging your shoulder playfully as a small smile grew on your face.
âHow the hell did you manage that?â John B asked, scoffing gratefully.
âIt was nothingâŚâ You waved off. âI just put some pieces together, thatâs all.â
âUh, it was not nothing.â JJ assured. âShe went straight up Criminal Minds on Shoupe and his league of badge-wielding sissies. Had a folder and everything-â
â...Wait,â John B cut in, the smile gone from his face. âWhereâs Sarah?â The four of you looked to each other, shoulder's square and tense.
â...She went to go meet Wheezie last night.â Kiara told the boy, shoving her hands in her back pockets. âShe didnât come back.â
âSO, SARAH JUST DIPS AND DOESNâT CALL?â John B theoreticized, the only one standing on the boat. The five of you were lounging in the HMS Pogue thatâd been stationery in the water behind The Chateau. John B was kind of dampening the mood with a Sarah question every five minutes but you all gave him the benefit of the doubt.Â
âI donât think we should jump to conclusions. I mean, I donât think she would just leave. No offense but, where would she even go?â Kiara threw out, leaning against the inside of the boat next to John Bâs legs.
âBut, I mean also, she left her bag.â Pope added, you werenât sure how that helped the conversation.
John B just sighed, planting his hands atop his head. âI really think Ward got to her.â He offered a possible theory. âI mean, he tried to have me killed in jail.â
You turned around so fast, you feared you almost gave yourself whiplash. âHe what?â
âYeah. He sent somebody to the prison who...yoked me up and almost killed me.âÂ
âDo we know who this dude was?â JJ asked. Judging by his tone, he had an idea in mind and he most likely could go through with it if he truly wanted. Between the inmates who didnât approve of crimes against children and JJâs connections in the jail from his dad, he could honestly probably set something up with just a name and a dirty cop.
âNo, I have no idea.â John B shook his head. âDude, I swear to God, one day Iâm gonna kill that son of bitch.â He threatened mindlessly, finally taking a seat inside the boat.
âItâs okay.â Kiara tried to comfort.
âNo, Kie, itâs not okay.â He snapped. âWe gotta find Sarah.â
âNo, literally, itâs okay.â Kiara said once more, pointing behind the distressed brunette. âSheâs right there.â
The four of you turned to see SarahâŚsitting in Topperâs boat.Â
As Topper drove.
At the sight of John B, the blonde girl stood up. â...John B?â Her small voice traveled across the water, Topperâs boat getting closer and closer. She shouted John Bâs name happily, the boy simply looking away from her. Seeing your girlfriend on her exâs boat the morning you get out of jail canât be the best âWelcome Homeâ surprise.
The four of you cringed, Sarah clearly not registering the picture that was being painted.
âOh, poor Sarah.â You muttered under your breath, mainly to yourself. âSometimes, I forget that you are indeed a blonde, teenage girl.â
âWhat the hell is she doing with Topper?â Kiara asked, loud enough for the four of you only to hear. Everyone shot small smiles at the blonde girl, confused about who sheâd arrived with but glad that she was safe nonetheless. Topper slowed his boat next to The Pogue, allowing Sarah to cross over as he and John B exchanged awkward glances.
âMy God, this is weirdâŚâ You mumbled, clearly not quietly enough considering Pope nudged your shoulder in warning. âWh-Am I wrong?â
Sarah threw herself into John B, the boy returning the gesture wholeheartedly but you could tell he was still a little thrown off. âI though Iâd never see you again.â Sarah told him, voice muffled into his shoulder before she pulled back to look him in his eyes. âWhat happened?â
âThey dropped all the charges.â John B smiled at his girlfriend.
âWhat?â Sarah breathed out, a bright smile on her face.
âYeah, Iâm a free man.â John B said smugly, leaning one arm on the boatâs windshield.Â
âThatâs amazing!â Sarah exclaimed, pulling the boy into her one more time. The look of heartbreak on Topperâs face was clear as day. Anyone could tell that he was still in love with her. You mightâve even felt bad if he wasnât such an asshole.
âI know, itâs great, but listen, Sarah,â John B calmed her down, pushing her back by her arms to look at her. âTheyâre coming after Rafe.â
â...Good,â She said, surprising you all. Her eyes fleeted to you for a brief moment. âHeâs completely unhinged. He jumped me last night.â
âWhat?â You all said simultaneously, eyes going wide as your attention went to Sarah.
âThatâs why I didnât come back.âÂ
âYeah, man. Rafe has lost his mind.â Topper butted in, leaning against the structure of his own boat. âLiterally almost drowned his own sister.â You rolled your eyes. Topper has known how unhinged Rafe was all along. He and Kelce always stood by like bodyguards when Rafe would treat you like shit towards the end of your ârelationshipâ with him â heâd grab you by your neck in front of them, pull your hair, call you a bitch, tell you to shut up. But they didnât care. Or at least they didnât care enough to say anything about the way Rafe manhandled you or the people around him. But now that Topper had a chance to be Sarahâs knight in shining armor, there was no way he was going to pass it up. âThankfully I got there just in time.â He said, and you swore you saw the hint of a sly smile on his face.
John B turned away from the blonde on the other boat, tongue prodding against his cheek. âWell, I guess I owe you one, Topper, donât I?â He asked, voice short.
He simply scoffed in response, shrugging nonchalantly. â...âs all good. I mean, somebody had to rescue your girlfriend, right?â
âOookay,â You jumped in. âI think itâs time for you to go, Topper, donât you agree?-â You tried before John B jumped in.
âThatâs funny because sheâs not actually my girlfriend, right?â He directed the question more at Sarah than Topper, the girl tucking her hair behind her ear and laughing nervously.
âWhat is she, then?â Topper asked, chuckling.Â
John B threw a hand out in Sarahâs direction. âTell him.â He had a sure smile on his face, like he knew Sarah would say what he wanted her to. But it quickly dropped following her words.
âIâŚIâm with him.â She looked almost unsure of what she was saying. Like she didn't want to say it.
The four of you not involved in this love triangle cringed silently, all looking in different directions as your faces twisted while Topper basically wheezed. âGotcha. Youâre with him. Yeah, okay.â He taunted, looking to the four of you. âYou guys clear on that?â
âI think itâs clear you gotta go now.â JJ warned, looking up at the preppy blonde.
âYeah, I think itâs about that time.â He agreed simply as Sarah called out to him.
âTopper.â She said, leaving John Bâs side to get closer to Topperâs boat. âThank you.â She said gratefully, pulling the boy into a gentle hug.
Topper returned the gesture. âYeah, of course.â He said softly, hand rubbing up and down her back gently. âIâm just glad youâre okay.â He assured, and none of you missed the glare he shot John B behind Sarahâs back before she pulled away, letting Topper speed off.
YOU WERE STRETCHED OUT ON THE COUCH IN THE CHATEAU, TOSSING A BALL UP INTO THE AIR. John B and Sarah were outside on the hammock, the conversation they were having didn't look too pleasant. Kiara and Pope were talking in the Surf Shack, no telling whether they were cuddling or Kie was pushing him away. You were deep into thought when the door swung open, a chipper blonde waltzing in, humming some random tune under his breath as he went over into the kitchen and opened the fridge.
You looked at his frame in your peripheral before rolling your eyes and sighing, resuming your train of thought.Â
â...Yâknow, you are really just take the passive part out of being passive-aggressive, yâknow that, right?â He spoke across the room, closing the fridge and leaning against it, a beer can in his hand.
âSorry. I guess liars just bring out the worst in me.â You muttered, voice full of attitude.
âHow can I lie about something I have no idea about? Kind of hard to understand why you're so mad at me if you don't say anything.â JJ scoffed, taking small steps towards you.Â
At this you scoffed and rolled your eyes once more, sitting up on the couch and leaning your weight one arm, the ball clutched in your other hand. âAre you really just never going to say anything about it?â
âSay anything about what?"
"I mean, at first, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Like maybe it wasn't what it seemed but it's been days-"
Youâve been talking in riddles for days-â
âYou kissed Kie.â
â...What?â He recoiled at the statement, standing up straighter. âNo, I didnât-â
âYes, you did.â You interrupted, swinging your legs off of the couch and leaning your arms on your thighs. âIn Charleston. At the gas station.âÂ
He seemed to ponder on it for a moment before he found it â his eyes going wide and his jaw going slack before he stuttered to find words. âTh- that is not what happened. Is that what she told you?â
âShe didnât tell me anything. Neither of you did because youâre both liars and shitty friends.â You spat, standing from your seat and walking out of the door, hearing his heavy boots follow behind you as the screen door hit the wall. âMaybe this is a sign. Because clearly, youâre both made for each other. Do all liars and backstabbers have a moral code? Birds of a feather, y'know-â
âCan you let me explain?â He breathed out, his footsteps barrelling down the wooden steps and you walked through the dirt and gravel. You didnât know where you were going or if you were going anywhere at all. It just felt right to walk away.
âYou couldâve explained days ago.â
âLook,â He tried, gently grasping your arm to stop you in your tracks and turn you around. âJust listen to me, please. I understand what it may have looked like and Iâm sorry that I didnât tell you but I meant everything I said to you. That kiss you saw? Didnât mean anything.âÂ
âA kiss always means something.â You rasped, snatching your arm away and looking him in his eyes. Really in his eyes, for probably the first time in days.Â
âOkay, maybe youâre right but it didnât mean anything to me. I didn't initiate it or like it or anything. I canât speak for Kie but I can speak for me and the kiss. meant. nothing. And you would know that if you had-â
âIf I had what?â You cut him off. âIf I had said something? As you so sweetly pointed out, I didn't say anything, did I? Iâm so sorry if the sight of you and Kie playing tongue hockey while Pope and I are less than ten feet away caught me off guard so badly that I couldn't say anything when it happened.â
âAnd I get that, I do. But you arenât listening-â He tried to calm you, planting both of his hands on your shoulders before being harshly shrugged off.
âStop that.â
â...Look, Kie kissed me. We were talking and then she kissed me and I pushed her away. The kiss didnât last more than five seconds and I didnât kiss her back. I told her I didnât like her that way, I don't like her that way, and that I wouldnât do that to Pope or you, ever. I even told her about what me and you have going on. I promise you.â He reassured. âAnd to be completely honest with you, would it even matter if I did? I mean, we arenât together. You said you needed time to figure out your feelings. You said that you didnât want me to wait on you to figure out your feelings. You said that.â
At his comment, you stood in shock. A silent âwowâ leaving your lips as you looked around at nothing. âAnd you know what, JJ? I loved you for that. You were so patient and understand in that moment that I fell in love with you in a such a way that I couldn't just call you my friend anymore. And I canât believe that you use what I said now and twist it into something else. You know thatâs not what happened. I told you I didnât want you to wait on me to figure out my feelings if thatâs not what you want, that part is true. But what about when you told me that you would and that it was your choice? That youâd be there when I was ready?â You reprimanded, scolded. âAnd when I told you that if you did kiss someone else or hook up with someone else, I just wanted you to tell me and not let me find out from someone else. And you told me that there would be nothing to tell and nothing to find out because you were âall mineâ. Or did all of that just coincidentally slip your mind?â
âIt didnât. I justâŚâ JJ sighed, running a hand down his face. âI need you to trust me and believe me when I tell you that my heart is with you. It always has been and it always will be.â He told, eyes boring into yours, pleading. â...But a part of me feels like when all of your grief is gone and you feel better about everything. About your mom, your dad, everything. You wonât...need me anymore and youâll try to push me away because maybe then youâll realize that you donât really feel that way about me. You just thought you did becauseâŚbecause I was there for you when you needed me to be.â
âOh.â You scoffed, eyebrows raising. âYou kiss someone else, one of our friends, and Iâm the one whoâs feelings are being doubted?â
JJ just sighed, stepping impossibly closer to you. One of his hands reached out to caress your face, this time you let him. â...I love you.â He said softly. âI donât know how else to say it.â
âHow about how you show it?â You whined, eyes getting teary and voice wavering. You gently grasped his hand, dragging it away from where it was cradling your face. âI am not using you to make myself feel better, JJ. What I feel for you is not a product of my grief or fucked up life or because you were there for me at just the right time. And maybe I needed the time to realize that before but I know it, now. I am sure that I love you but now I need you to be sure that you love me back. Okay, so why wouldnât you just tell me about the kiss? If it didnât mean anything, why didnât you say anything?â You explained, two single tears running down your face.
Suddenly, JJâs phone started to go off, notification after notification. You let go of his hand, using your own to wipe your tears, as he fished for his phone in his pocket.
âShit.â He cursed under his breath, walking in the direction of the Surf Shack.
âWhat?â You asked, voice still off from crying and you followed behind him.
He rounded the corner to find Kie and Pope pulling apart from a hug, you could only wonder what they were talking about. You didnât miss the way both of their eyes went between you and JJ. Between JJâs red face and your tear stains, they probably had questions. You wouldnât be surprised if they heard the heated conversation.
âPope.â JJ started. âJust got a call from Guffy. Somethinâ happened to your pops.â
âLET ME KNOW IF IâM HURTING YOU, OKAY?â Sarah cooed, planting a bandage on Heywardâs hairline. By the time the six of you arrived, the older man was hunched over, beaten and bloodied. Not too badly but bad enough for someone like Heyward.Â
âYouâre doinâ just fine.â Heyward told Sarah, wincing as she fully secured the bandage and walked away. âThank you, darlinâ.â
âPop,â Pope started, walking closer to his father. âWhat happened?â
âOh, I shouldâve known better.â Heyward started, lightly touching the bandage on his head. âHe came in just as I was about to lock up. Caught me by surprise. Once he had me down, he put his knee in my chest,â You cringed at the thought. â...and he asked me about thatâŚabout that key. From that drawing you showed me. And in case youâre wondering,â The older man gaining his sass back as he spoke. âI ainât tell him nothinâ.â He told the group of you, a hand on his hip with his lips pursed before his eyes went back to his son. âNow did you track it down?â
Pope fished around in his back pocket, pulling out a slim, gold key with a red string attached. The five you surrounding the father and son had sly smirks on your faces.
âI found it in Mee-mawâs old apartment above the pharmacy, just like you said.â
â...Shit, boy, you shouldâve gave this to me. I wouldnât have had to take a beatinâ.â He spoke, shocked by the sight of the key as he twirled it between his fingers. âWhatâs the big deal? It ainât worth anythin'. Why they want it so bad?â
âI donât know.â Pope shrugged along with the rest of you. âFirst, I get this letter telling me that I need to go to Charleston. And then I meet this rich lady who wants me to give her a key that I didnât even know was in my family.â Pope explained enthusiastically.Â
âWell, donât yâall just sit here whininâ about it.â Heyward scolded the group of you sporting long faces. âFigure it out.â
Popeâs face twisted at his fatherâs words as he shook his head. âNo.â He said firmly. âIâm just gonna give the key to that lady. Itâs not worth-â
âNo, no, no, no, no, noâŚâ Heyward interrupted. âDid I raise you to back down from a fight?âÂ
Pope shook his head. â...No, sir.â
âWell, all right.â Heyward nodded, admiration is his eyes. âNow, I didnât think âbout it before. I admit that. But nowâŚâ He trailed off, eyes on the key in his hand before pointing to the injury on his head. âNow? Iâm interested.â He smiled smugly. âDid they say why they wanted it?â
Pope drew his lips into a thin line. âSomethinâ about an old cross. I think it might be some kind of lost treasure.â
âYou know who you should talk to?â Heyward suggested, leaning forward. âYour great-grandmother.â
JOHN B STOPPED THE VAN IN FRONT OF SHADY ACRES NURSING HOME. It was the next day, the group of you agreeing to put it off until then considering it was a little drive away. Pope was the first out of the van, Kiara following as JJ got out of the passenger seat.
âHey, umâŚâ Pope started, looking up at the building. âI think Iâm actually gonna do this one by myself.â It seemed like a general statement but his eyes kept zoning in on key.Â
â...You sure?â Kie asked, half-way out of the van doors.
âYeah.â Pope shrugged. âI can handle it, I donât really need you, soâŚâ The clear attitude in his voice had you and Sarah, who were still seated, cringing in the van, looking anywhere but at the two. You figured whatever they talked about in the shed wasn't as good as it seemed. Maybe that wasn't a happy hug...
âOh, weâre just all one big happy family today, arenât we?â JJ joked, trying to lighten the mood. Now that he mentioned it, it did seem like all the âcouplesâ in the group were off. Even John B and Sarah hadnât talked since yesterday afternoon or all this morning.
Pope simply looked at the blonde before walking off, a gloomy expression on his face. John B restarted the van, ready to drive off while Pope did his task.
âOF COURSE I THANKED TOPPER.â Sarah whispered as you, her, and Kie walked back towards the van slowly. John B had made a pit-stop at a burger place where you, Sarah, and Kie went to get milkshakes. John B and JJ were inside the vehicle, it looked like they were having a hushed conversation of their own. âHe saved my life, and Iâd put him through so much already.â She added, sipping on her milkshake as you did the same, Kie nodding. âAnd youâd think that that is the crime of the century.â
âTell me about it.â Kiara said. âAll of this crazy shitâs happening, and Pope is giving me the silent treatment for not being in love with him.â
You gulped down the rest of you shake at her words. âI think itâs more so due to the fact that you led him on as if you were in love with him, but hey,â You butted in bluntly, sending a tight-lipped smile Kiaraâs way. âWhat do I know?â
âPeople canât control their feelings. You canât force yourself toâŚlove someone who you just donât.â
âNo,â You dragged out. âBut people can control how they interact with those people. Kissing someone, sleeping with someone? That doesnât exactly scream âIâm not in love with youâ.â
âWhat the hell is your problem?â Kie stopped walking, turning to you. âYou donât speak to me for days and then when you do itâs the same passive-aggressive bullshit? I mean, seriously, whatâs your deal?â
You stopped in your own tracks from where you had taken a few steps forward, turning to face the girl while still sipping your milkshake. âDoes Pope know?â
Kie rolled her eyes and threw her hands out, Sarah watching intently. âDoes Pope know what?â
âThat you kissed JJ.â You said bluntly, eyes staring into hers.
"Wh-*cough*-What?!" Sarah's eyes went wide as she choked on her milkshake.
ââCause if he doesnât and heâs already pushing you away like this? I canât imagine how much heâll hate you when he finds out.â You shrugged.
â...If.â Kiara corrected, shifting her. âIf he finds out.â
You pursed your lips, looking up at the sky as you pretended to think while you shook your head. âWhen.â You corrected her correction before turning on your heel and walking towards the van.Â
âI STILL CANâT BELIEVE THAT YOUâRE RELATED TO DENMARK TANNY.â John B exclaimed. Youâd all returned to The Marina just as it had started to drizzle where Pope explained how his grandmother told him all about how Denmark Tanny and his wife, Cecilia, were Popeâs ancestors. âAre we in the presence of a royal?â John B teased, the six of you camped up under a roof of one of the shops.
âA king? We shall crown him.â JJ joked alongside JB, planting an imaginary crown on Popeâs head. âAll hail the Lord of Tannyhill. We are not worthy!â He continued, the rest of you joining in on the chant before Pope stopped you all with a chuckle.
âEverybody relax. Can we relax, please?â He requested, the laughter fading lightly before his face faded into something more serious. â...I just keep thinking about the letter. The one Limbrey sent? It had the wheat symbol on it.â He pointed out. âThat must mean it had something to do with the Royal Merchant.â
âYeah. Somethinâ seems fishyâŚâ JJ threw in.
âBut if we find that cross, we can split it like we were gonna split the gold.â Pope continued, gleefully.
âAnd live happily ever after?â An uninvited voice rang out, the group of you turning to find none other than Carla Limbrey and her live-in bodyguard approaching. You all straightened, the expression on your faces going hard.
âYou assaulted my father.â Pope was the first to speak, his lips curled in anger as he took steps towards the woman only to be pushed back by her accomplice.Â
âOh, I didnât assault anybody.â
âHe can identify the psycho from a mile away.â Kie assured, Carla turning to her.
âWhy would my employeeâŚâ She trailed off, turning back to Pope. âAssault your father? That's absurd.â She laughed, like the whole ordeal was humorous. âListen,â She started, limping towards Pope. âWe can keep on negotiating but the fact is, I want the key.â She explained, her employee pushing Pope up against a support beam causing you all to jump up.
âHey!â JJ shouted, being the closest to Pope.
âAnd I wonât stop until I have it. I donât have a choice, which means you donât either.â She spoke solely to Pope. She stared at him intensely, her gaze never wavering.
âItâs Limbrey, right?â You piped up, her eyes turning to you as you leaned against the wooden railing of the dock, swinging the gold key around your finger. âIs this what youâre looking for?â
â...Yes, it is.â She said, her voice straining as she walked towards you slowly.Â
âLooking at the tide right, Iâd say itâs aboutâŚâ You taunted, dangling the object dangerously over the water as you peaked at the waves then back at her. âTwenty feet deep out there? So, if I just threw it in the channel, the probability of you finding it again is slim to none.â You explained, sitting up straighter and extending your arm completely over the rail. âWanna give it a shot?â You taunted, letting the key slip from your fingers.
âNo! Hey!â Limbrey lunged forward, nearly tripping over her feet. She let out a sigh of relief when you swiftly caught key in your hand again before it even had the chance to really fall. â...Please donât do that.â She pleaded.Â
You could feel your eyes narrow as you relaxed against the rail again, the key fisted in your palm as you threw one arm out in the direction of her employee. âGet him to back the hell up.â
â...Back up.â She ordered, turning towards the man as he walked away from Pope, looking you up and down. Carla was quick to stand back in front of Pope once more, talking to him. âAs I have told you from the beginning, I am willing to be reasonable.â
Pope eyes drifted towards you, probably catching on to the fact that the key you were torturing Limbrey with was fake, considering you were sure he had the real one on him. You nodded towards the boy, winking at him.
â...Okay.â He said, eyes back on Carla.
âOkay?â She seemed surprised at his cooperation.
âIâll give you the key.â He told her, standing up straighter. âBut I want the tape.â
âOf course-â Limbrey was quick to agree, but you felt like her employee was getting suspicious with the way he was eyeing you.
âHey, Pope,â You stepped in, walking towards your friend. âYou donât have to do this, okay?â You told him, but your head was nodding slightly so he would catch your drift. Giving the key up to easily would only seem suspicious now. There had to be some kind of resistance on his end.
âNo, itâs okay.â
âNo, Pope, this is your family.â
âItâs fine. Itâs okayâŚâ Pope assured, putting his hand out for you to give him the key. âThis is about your dads.â He added, eyes fleeting between you and John B. âThatâs way more important.â
âOh, youâre a good friend.â Limbrey sighed as you planted the key in Popeâs palm.Â
âThe tape?â Pope turned back to her, eyes never leaving hers.Â
âYes, give him the tape.â She ordered the man she brought with her, watching as he pulled a red tape recorder from inside of his jacket, handing it slowly to Pope. He didnât hand Limbrey the key until the player was in his hand. âYou knowâŚâ She started again, leaning into him. âI wish that youâd come to this decision earlier. We couldâve avoided all this unpleasantness.â She said before turning and walking off, her employee following behind but not before turning around with a smug smile on his face.
âIt was nice seeinâ ya, Pope.â
âWalk away before I beat your ass with her cane.â You told him bluntly, him offering the six of you one last grin before strutting off. You watched the pair leave, standing next to John B as a smile grew on your face. âHow long do you think we have until she realizes she has your fatherâs old key?â
âTen minutes.â He replied.Â
Just then, Pope turned around with both of his arms out, a small relieved smile on his face. âWhose idea was the fake key?â
You and John B turned your attention to JJ who was trying to conceal the smile on his face. âHmm, I donât know. Should we tell him?â John B teased, throwing an arm around JJâs shoulders.
âDid hell freeze over?â Pope asked, astounded.
âIâm impressed.â Kiara said. âMaybe you are good for something.â
âEven a blind pig can find an acorn at times.â JJ joked as Pope and JB tickled him, poking his ribs and ruffling his hair.Â
âWe gotta take this tape to Shoupe.â John B smiled, juggling the object in his hand as the released the blonde.
âYes sir.â JJ jumped up. âWard Cameron weâre cominâ for you, big boy!â
You didnât miss the look of despondence on Sarahâs face. It was the visual epitome of being stuck between a rock and hard place. You knew what it was like to know someoneâs a bad person but still feel obligated to love them. You seemed so easily detached from your mother that you never stopped to consider that maybe Sarah was having a hard time doing the same with her father.
âWHEN I GOT DOWN TO THE TARMAC, I SAW THE SHERIFF LYING DEAD ON THE GROUND.â Gavinâs voice came from the tape recorder planted on Shoupeâs desk. John B had requested that you go in with him to give the evidence to Shoupe while the others waited, considering you had cleared his name in the first place, he figured your help could do no harm. âAnd then Ward asked me to fly the gold to Nassau and dispose of the gun. Heâs protecting his son.â The former pilot explained, Shoupeâs eyes drifting upwards to stare at you and John B. âIt was Rafe Cameron who killed Sheriff Peterkin. I gotta be honest with youâŚIâm terrified. If anything happens to me, Iâm telling you, it was Ward Cameron.â
John B looked up at Shoupe and the FBI Agent standing behind him, a deadpan look on his face. âI told you ShoupeâŚâ He started, shaking his head slightly. âWard killed both of our fathers and Gavin, and now you know Rafe killed Peterkin.â
Shoupe just licked his lips and nodded, taking a quick glance at the agent behind him. â...I know, kid. I know.â
Your brows furrowed at this. During your last conversation with Shoupe, right after youâd told him to drop the charges and right before you left his office, he left you with a few last words...
âI donât know if I believe all of this, kid. And I canât promise that this enough to get your friend out and put Ward behind bars. Maybe one or the otherâŚbut not both.â
Leaning forward in your seat, you gained Shoupeâs attention as his eyes turned to you. âWhat does that mean? âCause last time I was here you said that the outcome we have right now was nearly impossible.â
The man just sighed, slowly rising from his chair as it rolled against the floor. He put both of his hands on his belt and cleared his throat. âWeâve issued arrest warrants for both Ward and RafeâŚas well as your mother and any department employees involved. Rafe is currently in custody, the other warrants are being carried out as we speak. I canât give ya anymore than that.â
âLLLLADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WARD CAMERON, KING OF THE KOOKS, IS GOING TO JAIL!â JJâs voice boomed from the inside of The Chateau. The guys were inside celebrating Wardâs takedown as you rounded the corner of the porch, finding a solemn Sarah sitting criss-cross on the patio furniture with Kiara right across from her, giggling at the guys antics.
You sat the opposite side of the blonde girl just Kiara looked to her, the brown-haired girlâs face falling at Sarahâs expression.
â...Do you regret it?â
Sarah was quick to reply, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. âNo.â She stated firmly, biting the inside of her cheek. âHe deserves all of it, and I know that. Itâs justâŚâ She cut herself off with a teary sigh, her voice returning with a quiver to it as her eyes filled with tears. âHeâs still my dad. I canât just pretend like heâs not.â
âNo, I get it.â Kiara tried to comfort, scooting closer and planting a hand on Sarahâs shoulder. âI understand-â
âBut you donât, Kie.â Sarah blurted, a tear falling from her eye as her nose and cheeks took on a shade of red. âI know youâre trying to help but you just donât get it...â She said, rising from her seat and swiftly walking off into the direction of the backyard and out into the rain.Â
You didnât know if it was weird of you to go after her, considering Sarah and Kie were closer but you figured after Kiara sat there with no intention of getting up that it was okay to do so. Getting up from your seat and walking off to follow Sarah, you stepped out into the drizzling rain, going towards her figure that was stood at the edge of the tall grass on the shore of The Marsh, her arms hugging herself as she looked out at the water.
As you got closer and stood next to her, you could hear small sniffles leaving her nose. Maybe she didnât regret helping turn her dad in but it was clear as day to anyone that she was upset.
âI know Iâm probably not the person you want to talk toâŚâ You spoke up after a few moments of silence, Sarah looking at you briefly. âBut I think Iâm the only person who can relate to how youâre feeling, right now.â
âYou donât have to come out here in the rain to make me feel better.â She sighed, fully turning to you now, damp strands of hair sticking to her cheeks. âEspecially after everything Iâve put you through.â
âSarah, I already told you that I forgive you-â
âBut why?â She cried, swinging her arms out to her sides. âIt would be one thing if I didnât believe you but I made your life a living hell and I didnât even like my brother then. How can you just forgive me soâŚso easily?â
âBecause it wasnât your fault.â You told her, moving your own pieces of damp hair out of your vision. âI know that right now you probably think youâre no better than them, your dad and brother. But you are not responsible for the bad things that they did to other people. Yes, you made my life hell and maybe Iâll always hold that small grudge against you. But you didnât kill Peterkin, and you didnât kill my dad, or Big John, or Gavin.â You explained. âAnd unlike them, Sarah, you owned up to your mistakes. You apologized to me and Kiara and youâve become a better person for it.â
â..But why do I feel bad for still loving him?â She whined, tears falling faster now. âI tore myself away from Rafe after he tried to drown me but my dadâŚheâs still my dad. And I know heâs done bad things, really bad things, and I will never forgive him but for some reason, going against him puts this pit in my stomach that I canât get rid of because ...heâs my dad.â
âBut thatâs the thing, Sarah,â You began, stepping closer to her. âHeâs not your dad anymore.â You told her, putting a hand on her upper arm gently. âThe way I think of it? Heâs just a shell of the man you used to know. Like with my mom â I know it seems like Iâm okay and that I hate her and thatâs that, right? But thatâs not true. I miss my mom. So much. But not the mom that being hunted down by the police right now.â You explained, your own voice wavering. âI miss the mom that would listen to my shitty guitar playing after my dad taught me chords and convinced me I was the greatest in the world. I miss the mom that would make cookies with me in the middle of the night when I couldnât sleep. The mom I miss would never do the things that the woman I know now has done. Any of it. And I know itâs a hard thing, to separate who you grew up with and who youâve come to know but Ward isnât the father you knew, Sarah. Heâs the monster you know now.â
Sarah just sniffled and nodded, processing your words as she wiped the tears and rainwater from her face.
â...And as for that grudge?â You started, a small smile on your face. âMaybe Iâd be more inclined to let it go if you helped me out with something. Just a small little side questâŚâ You shrugged cutely as her brows pinched together. âGot any clue where Rafe would hide a stolen dog at Tannyhill?â
You managed to get a small chuckle out of the girl before her phone started to ring, Sarah fishing the device out of her back pocket â Toppers contact card bright on display as her eyes darted to yours.
âWe might have to postpone that heistâŚâ She said, answering the call. âHello?â
âHey,â Topperâs voice came through, his voice faint and distorted through the phone. âSorry to be the, uh, bearer of bad news here butâŚtheyâre coming for your dad.â He told her, Sarah letting out a deep breath. âMy grandpa just signed the warrant.â He explained. You forgot his grandfather was a judge. âSo, if you have anything you want to say to him, I would do it now. Just wanted you know.â
âThanks.â Sarah replied, voice small and weak as she stared at her sneakers. She removed the phone from her ear and ended the call, sighing deeply.
You shot her a tight-lipped smile, a look of pity. âIâll get everyone and weâll go with you.â
THE TWINKIE WAS GOING AS FAST IT COULD DOWN THE NARROW STREET WHEN THREE COP CARS SPED BY, Â headed in the direction of Tannyhill.
âShitâŚâ Kie breathed, eyes trailing the speeding vehicle as she looked out of the window.
âOh my God,â Sarh sighed, eyes wide as the severity of the situation set in. âCan we please hurry? I need to be there for Wheezie.â
âYou think I wanna miss this?â John B said bluntly. Ouch. The statement and the way he said it even hurt you, so you werenât surprised by the mean side-eye that Sarah gave him from the passenger seat.Â
The four of you in the back exchanged glances. There was a lot going on and it was difficult to know what each of your worried looks were for â Sarah, John B, or Sarah and John Bâs relationship.
It wasnât long before the van pulled up right behind one of the parked cop cars outside of Tannyhill, right outside the concrete wall. You all nearly tripped over one another scrambling to exit the van before it even came to a full stop â the sound of police chatter, footsteps, and sirens in the distance.Â
You all stood on your tiptoes, peering over the wall.
âHoly shit.â
âI canât see, bro.â
None of you had a good view but you could see a small swarm of officers running towards the dock where Ward kept his boats while Rose stood helplessly by the door.Â
âScrew it.â John B said out of nowhere. âIâm going over.â He warned before hurling himself over the wall, the five of you watching as he landed on the other side. You looked at each other before following his lead, landing in the grass.
You all jogged through the freshly cut grass, approaching the doors where Rose stood just in time to see Wheezie rushing out as Rose tried to stop her.
âWhatâs going on?â The young girl asked, eyes on the huddle of officers by the water. âWhy are the police here?â
âWheezieâŚâ Sarah called her sisterâs name in relief, walking faster in order to reach the girl and pull her into a hug.
âWhy are the police here again?â Wheezie asked, her voice soft and curious.Â
âGo inside,â Sarah told her, caressing the back of her head before pulling back to look her in the eyes. âDonât come out.â Wheezie looked at her older sister with confusion and concern before nodding and turning to go back inside, a teary-eyed Rose guiding the girl back inside.
You couldnât help but subconsciously notice that there was no sign of Marley â no paw prints, no food bowls, no leash, nothing. Not that heâd take that much care of her anyway. But it didn't look like a dog was being kept here. You felt bad for thinking about that at a time like this but if Rafe wasnât holding her at Tannyhill, you could only think of one other place heâd take her, and if you were right then getting her back just became a whole lot more dangerousâŚ
âSarah,â Rose called before shutting the patio door, her voice scratchy. âYour father, heâŚheâs out on The Drutherâs.â She told her, Sarah wasting no time in jogging in that direction before Rose could finish. âBut I donât think you should- Sarah!â
She tried to call her back but it was no use and the rest of you could do nothing more but follow Sarah out to the docks. Through the grass and over the wood, about six or so officers formed a line, effectively blocking the entrance as the group of you approached the scene.
âDad!â Sarah cried, seeing her fatherâs figure on the third story of The Drutherâs.
The officerâs attention turned to you all, holding their hands out to stop you all from going any further when Shoupeâs voice rang.
âThatâs Sarah Cameron! Let her through!â He ordered, motioning you all through with one hand as the officers stepped to the side.
âWhat are you doing here, Sarah?!â Ward called tearfully from the top of his boat. He looked genuinely terrified.Â
âDad, whatâre you doing?!â She called from the docks as you all walked behind her, forming a sort of line on the wooden surface, officers on each side.
âVic, you gotta get her out of here!â Wardâs attention went to Shoupe, pleading with the man. âShe canât be here right now!â He was straining his voice so much, you would think he was about to die, not be arrested.
âJust come on in, and you can talk to her!â Shoupe tried to reason, throwing his arms out in Sarahâs direction, trying to find anyway for Ward to turn himself in.
âSarah, Iâm so sorry, baby,â He continued to cry, going inside of the cockpit for a moment. It looked like he was flipping switches which made the officers weary. âI canât!â Suddenly, the anchor started to reel itself out of the water.
If they didnât get any units in the water by now or anytime soon, you feared Ward would get away. Once again.
âWhatâre you doing?!â Sarah called, stepping closer to the edge of the dock. âDad, no, no, no!â
âWard!â Shoupe stepped in, applying more pressure. âThis ainât gonna end the way you want it to!â Your prayers were answered and Shoupeâs warning was proven when four police water units came cruising towards The Drutherâs, lights and sirens on display. âYou donât need her seeing this!â
Sarahâs jaw couldnât close as she eyed each of the approaching boats, one after the other. Anyone within five feet of the girl could hear her labored, stuttering breaths. Just then, Ward started to climb down to the second level of the boat, causing Sarah to cry out once more.
âDad, donât leave!â Her voice cracked, at a pitch so high youâd question if it was even her voice. âWhere are you going?!â
âI love you!â Ward assured, landing on his feet on the second level deck.
âHey! Damn it, Ward!â Shoupe cursed. âTurn it around and get back in here!â
âDad! No!â Sarah cried hysterically, watching as Ward closed himself off in the boat where no one could see him. The four units in the water were closing in on him âwhere did he plan to go? âPlease donât leave!â Sarah croaked one last time when suddenly the bottom of The Drutherâs blew, sending a wave of silence over everyone.
Even the boats in the water slowed, not wanting to get to close to the wreckage as it blew again, each blast getting higher and higher, hitting each story of The Drutherâs. Each boom sent each of you back a step, hearing Sarahâs breath hitch was what broke your heart.
You all threw your arms up, shielding yourselves from the debris and shrapnel that was now flying in the air as easily as dust. A thick cloud of dark grey filled the air, metal and other materials floating down into the water as everyone just stared.
It was silent until Sarah started to hyperventilate, a hand on her chest as you watched as her knees began to give out. âNo, no.â She struggled to get out, a hand hovering over her throat as she cried. âDadâŚdad!â You know someone shouldâve helped her or comforted her but it was like none of you could. You were frozen in place, watching the boat go up in flames.
You couldnât believe this. No, really. You couldnât. Despite the fire and the smoke and the boat now in pieces, you couldnât believe the sight in front of you.
Ward was dead?
You were supposed to believe that Ward was dead?Â
How could any kind of universe allow him the easy way out? How was that fair?
You didnât even really notice Topper, whoâd appeared out of nowhere but seemingly just on time, catch Sarah just as she fell. You saw it out of you peripheral, but your sights never left that burning boat.
WardâŚwas dead.
Ward Cameron was dead.

Chasing the Wind - Chp 1
a/n: the twisters fixation is REAL. prepare to hate me.
Ao3: here! fic masterlist: here!
Pairing: tyler owens x fem!reader
Rating/Warning(s): none for the chapter! but there will be smut at some point.
Words: 1,308
Summary: Tyler and Reader knew each other back in his rodeo days and had a falling out with each other. But by some twist of fate, you two are brough back together. Will you rekindle what could've been or let things be?
âOh, come on. Youâll like him. Heâs probably changed since you two last talked!â Kate said through the phone.
You rolled your eyes at her words. Last time you saw Tyler was during his rodeo days. He and your ex, Luke, were rivals at the rodeo. You didnât know it, but Tyler had a thing for you. You found him attractive and knew that if you werenât with Luke, you would be dating Tyler. But alas, fate had a funny way of doing things. Now, Tyler was a storm chaser, and you were a meteorologist. Your career paths may have changed but you knew that his ego was still just as big last time you saw him, if not bigger.
âI donât know, Kate. You didnât know him back then,â you said, uncertainty coating your voice.
âWell, I thought he was a dick when I first met him. But he really has a heart of gold. And I know itâs not Kansas, but Oklahoma has good things to offer too. Youâll get to see these storms up close and feed into the adrenaline junkie side that you have. Just a week, please,â Kate said.
You bit at your lip as you thought. You did trust Kate. You two met at the weather station you both worked at in NYC. Since you were both from Tornado Alley and had a knack for just knowing the weatherâs tracks, you two got a long great. You knew she was right, and you knew you would regret it if you said no.
âOkay, alright. Just one week.â You said. Kate cheered.
You two got plans together and within the next couple of weeks you would be flying off to Oklahoma. Your nerves went haywire over the next couple of weeks. You were nervous and excited to see the storms, but you were mostly anxious about seeing Tyler. What if he really had changed? Sure, you saw his kindness at times, and he extended that kindness towards you. Luke hated all the times that Tyler tried to be your friend.
A couple weeks had passed, and you were on your way to Oklahoma. Your plane had landed safely, and you got your luggage. You waited at the pickup area for Kate.
Kate rode in the passenger seat of Tylerâs truck as he drove. She neglected to tell you that Tyler would be there to pick you up with her. Tyler was anxious to see you. He had the biggest crush on you for the longest time. Ever since he met you at the rodeo, he knew he liked you. You two would talk and flirt. But eventually Luke came into the picture, and you started dating Luke. He was sad that you were with Luke, but he knew that he couldnât get in the way of you two. Tyler worried about you when it came to Luke because of Lukeâs jealous streak. So, he did what he could, and Tyler was always trying to be friendly with you if you two had interact.
Lukeâs jealous streak did cause a few fights, including a few with Tyler. And after every fight, you always stayed with Luke. It puzzled Tyler as to why you did this, but he figured there must have been something you liked about Luke. Tyler just hoped that Luke was kind to you unlike he was to others.
It was just unfortunate that the last time you interacted with Tyler was after another fight with Luke. Tyler and you were talking, and Luke saw and started fighting with Tyler. After the dispute, you rushed to Lukeâs side and helped him away. It was that night that you broke up with Luke. Later that night, you and Tyler had a verbal fight about your relationship with Luke. You yelled that you were leaving and did just that when morning came. You and Tyler hadnât spoken since.
You saw a red truck that was decked in gear pull into the pickup area. You didnât think much of it, and assumed it wasnât here for you. Of course, you were wrong, and your eyes widened when you saw Kate and Tyler in the truck. Tylerâs breath hitched in his throat. You were just as beautiful as the last time he saw you. He didnât realize how much he missed you until he saw you. He pulled up in front of you and his heart was racing. Unknown to him, yours was too.
Kate jumped out of the truck, rushed over to you and pulled you into a hug. You looked away from Tyler and hugged your friend. You and Kate pulled away from the hug and looked each other over.
âHow are you! How was the flight?â Kate asked.
âIâm okay, a little tired but the flight was fine,â you replied.
âGood,â Kate said. Suddenly, Tyler was behind Kate and looking you over.
âTyler?â You said, trying to hide the disbelief in your voice but not hiding your eyes looking him over. He looked more built and rugged. You cleared your throat, âYou look⌠good.â
âHey, lightning, itâs been a while,â Tyler said, not hiding anything in his voice including the little chuckle that slipped out.
Kate looked between the two of you and spoke, âWe should probably get going.â
You and Tyler nodded, agreeing with her. He took your suitcase from you and loaded it into his truck. He opened the passenger door, expecting you to jump in but you insisted that Kate sit there instead. So, Tyler walked you over to the driver side and opened the driver side passenger door. You thanked him and got in. His smile didnât go unnoticed by you and sent a small bit of heat to your cheeks. You thought his smile was gorgeous as always.
On the car ride to the motel, he kept looking back at you through the rearview mirror. You glanced away and out the window. The scenery wasnât anything exciting, but it was familiar to you. It calmed you as your heart raced now that you were in a truck with Tyler. You sent up a silent prayer thanking the higher powers that Kate was with you in the truck.
âSo, howâd you two meet?â Kate asked, âYou both mentioned to me that you knew each other.â
âIt was while I was in the rodeo,â Tyler said.
âOh?â Kate said with a cheeky grin.
âYeah, my ex was his rival,â you said, trying to squash the idea that came to her mind.
âHe was rivals with everyone,â Tyler said.
âBut especially you,â you said, âIâm not sure why though.â
There was a beat of silence between everyone. You and Tyler didnât want to rehash that argument. Even though it lingered in the air. Kate sensed that there was more to the story than what you two were letting on. But she decided to drop it. However, Tyler couldnât resist.
âYou know exactly why, itâs because he was jealous of every man you talked to. Especially me,â Tyler said, anger coming forward on his voice.
âHe wasnât jealous, he was just-â you searched for the word, âI donât know. He didnât like it when I made friends with other men. His previous girlfriend cheated on him and I tried to stay away but you kept coming back into my orbit.â
âI canât help it, you got a strong pull, and a winning smile,â Tyler said, trying to lighten the mood.
This made your face heat up and you looked away from the review mirror. The rest of the ride was filled with music on the radio. You were all but alone with your thoughts. Mostly thoughts of Tyler. You just hoped you would arrive at the motel soon; you didnât know how much longer you could last in the truck with Tyler.

Feel free to download this artwork here. I'm trying to get the ball rolling on my art shops, so downloads would help me a lot!
today, I have had the rare privilege of observing a creature soaring above the rocky cliffs
the creature has body covered in a thick coat of fur. The fur is predominantly a soft white with hints of blues that shimmer under sunlight. Two prominent horns extend from its head. The tail is bushy, ending in a tuft, further enhancing its aerial camouflage
the creature is active during the day. It seems to float rather than walk, hovering just above the ground, which might be facilitated by some form of innate anti-gravitational ability. Its movement consists of a series of light, springy jumps, with the fur around its body rippling as if it were gliding on invisible currents. Feeding habits suggest a diet consisting mainly of high-altitude grasses and hardy shrubs; I observed it delicately plucking at vegetation with a surprising nimbleness
at dawn, the creature emerges from small caves where it likely rests through the night. It spends a considerable portion of the day grazing with periods of rest atop elevated rocks or ledges. During these times, it engages in what appears to be a form of sunbathing, lying belly-up to the sky, possibly absorbing warmth or utilizing sunlight in some metabolic process. As dusk approaches, the creature retreats to its resting place, often accompanied by a low, melodic humming sound that reverberates through the rocksâa behavior whose purpose remains unclear
the creature is largely solitary; however, it occasionally interacts briefly with others of its kind. These interactions are somewhat awkward, marked by a series of intricate head tilts and tail flicks, which might be a form of non-verbal communication or a basic greeting. There doesnât seem to be any clear social hierarchy or territorial disputesâeach individual seems satisfied within its own space, coexisting with minimal conflict
given its herbivorous diet and gentle nature, the creature seems to occupy a niche as a low-level consumer, contributing to the control of mountain vegetation. Its droppings, which are rich in partially digested plant matter, may also play a crucial role in fertilization of high-altitude plants, which normally donât have enough nutrients to sustain themselves
locals regard the creature with a mix of reverence and caution. It is believed to bring good fortune to those who witness its fog dance but is also thought to be a harbinger of storms when sighted in groups. Locals embellish these creatures with amber and amethyst. They believe this to be a way of gaining favor with the wind and sky gods. The creatures donât seem to care
in addition to its apparent ability to hover, the creature exhibits a form of rudimentary telekinesis, capable of manipulating small objects or moving pebbles, possibly to access roots or disturb insects for feeding. This ability is subtle and seems to be used sparingly, suggesting it is either energetically taxing or reserved for specific needs
the thick, insulating fur protects the creature from the harsh mountain winds. Its unique ability to float likely evolved to navigate the treacherous terrain without expending the energy required for more conventional forms of locomotion
End of entry.
