Vera's sims wiki page tells us she is Bella's second cousin in-law, whereas the interview states that she actually is Bella's step second cousin

10. What's your V's signature drink in the Afterlife?

i do not drink and know very little about alcohol but i do have an answer for this one for vex at least. screaming orgasm. because she is obnoxious and also i saw a youtube video about "aggressively horny cocktails" and couldn't/didn't stop myself. it's either that or like, a whiskey sour. or something radioactively purple. again i know very little about drinking. i do eventually want to figure out drinks for the other two. someday.

12. Does your V have any special mementos/tattoos/etc.?

i can actually give an answer for all three here so i'm gonna. who's gonna stop me? two of them are tattoos and the other is an item. kinda.

so for vex, she is covered in tattoos but not a lot of them have like...bigger meanings. two that do are on her left upper arm. she's got the "don't bite the hand that feeds" on her inner arm, which used to kind of mark her as an "employee" of the guy she worked for and acted like a tracker and when she stopped being a joytoy she got the don't crossed out and the tracker de-activated (mentioned this on the vex facts i posted the other day) but also on this arm, above her inner elbow she has 2072, which is the year she met jackie. so both those tattoos go hand in hand i guess, since they both kinda lead back to when he saved and changed her life.

vesper's tattoo has less to do with her story in cyberpunk and more to do with who she was when i originally created the character. vesper was originally an altered carbon oc that i made back in 2018, and when the game came out, she just fit so unbelievably well (like from being a merc down to hallucinating the guy she loves through some questionable tech in her head kinda well). in her altered carbon verse, she has a v tattooed behind the left ear of every one of her sleeves. in the game i put it on the back of her neck because otherwise it gets hidden by her hair, but it's my nice little reminder to myself.

now vera's isn't a tattoo. it's a recording. i liked to headcanon that the bakkers record comms when they have teams out on jobs or drives. and vera's mom, who died when she was around 6-8 years old, died out on a drive, and because the comms were on and she knew they were being recorded, used it as a way to say goodbye to her daughter, even though it cuts out before she manages to finish. vera snuck into wherever they kept the recordings and pulled this one off before she left the clan. it's one of very few things other than her clothes that she actually took with her. only other thing is a bracelet that she's had her whole life (might have been her mom's or her dad's) that she wears on her right wrist that she will later give to saul.

Status: Morose

Captain of New Star Station’s Phantom Hybrid Flock

There are no horses in New Star Station. Not even one. Horse hybrids, sure, though they're not as common as you think. People have been saying for years that horses might be extinct in Between by now, but he's still got hope. You're sharing minds with Bdubs right now, just so we're on the same page. He's the guy with hope.

It's fine! There's no time in his schedule for horse caretaking anyway. Being captain is practically a full-time job. Seriously.

Phantoms don't need to go offline (as long as they're absorbing souls on the regular for the energy zing, of course). A phantom who goes more than three days without a single soul will start dropping the hunger meter fast, and if they can't find someone to eat, they'll probably go offline a while so they can rest and think things through.

It's all about energy. Even Scott's not immune to naptime, no matter how hard he denies it. Have you ever seen him sleep when he's on-server for like, the Life series and stuff? He's out cold. Might as well be in free-cam with how little reaction you'll get out of his body. Maybe he really does go into free-cam and wander around, pretending he's sleeping when he's really not. Scott's the type who can't settle down for anything. Maybe that's why he's so big on cozy little builds.

But the thing about 'No horses in New Star' is, well… Not having horses doesn't leave him with much to do on nights like this when he's stripped of title and stripped of wings. He should probably be taking Brittney out to dinner, but since he wasn't expecting to, y'know… Lose his wings this weekend, he didn't make reservations early enough. Brittney's fine! She's doing Gals' Night tonight with Cocoa, Jewel, Ferks, and Vera. They'll have fun. Bdubs snorts, kicking his foot against the edge of town square's fountain.

A stubborn sniffer, an athletic ravager, a sharp-eyed hoglin, a parkour-loving axolotl, and a beefy glow squid walk into a bar… Now that's a group you don't wanna mess with. The ravager is not the one with the most XP in her close combat skill. And Bdubs knows firsthand that as mellow as his beloved wife is, she's not afraid to headbutt or wrestle around. Look- phantoms do wrestle, but even Bdubs finds himself all too easily pinned when facing a woman with four arms.

I should bring her some chocolates. Not back to their server, obviously, but they've got an apartment he's spent… way too little time in lately. Bdubs stares down at his reflection in the fountain water. His mossy cloak sways, hands tucked in his pants pockets beneath. No wings. Nobody paying him any mind. Hhh… Well. Brittney still loves him. And even though she's got a Gals' Night going on, it's not hard to be romantic. He does this all the time, obviously.

Plucking blossoms off the cherry trees is going to be such a pain without wings.

I mean, it's just temporary… He'll get his wings back after someone cycles him through the system, but that'll knock him out for a week if he's not careful. The secret plan is to join Cub in Hermitcraft tidying - They're down to the last couple days before the Season 9 download drops, you know - and then treat the guy to dinner tonight. Scar ate last week. So did Etho's mystery vex… whoever he is.

See, that's the problem. Since unthreading's illegal, it's not like there are lots of other vex to choose from. Phantoms have a game balance stipulation in their code that prevents them from logging each other out properly, so submitting to a vex is the easiest way to go. Not a lot of other vex besides those two around, which is such a shame. Sure, New Star Station is a refuge, but most of its residents peaced out of the anarchy world before they ever mod up (either forcibly or of their own will).

Modding is a skilled art, especially if you're looking for body tweaks that will stay consistent in and out of different servers (not to mention Between). Tango's one of the best aesthetics modders Bdubs has ever met. That lion-like tail he wears wherever he goes? That's free advertising. Do you have any idea how hard it is to code an additional limb like that, and make it prehensile and expressive at the same time? Yeah. Tango's your guy if you like looking pretty.

What? Oh, yeah. There's zero horses in New Star. Bdubs already logged out a straggler who dropped to phantom hour and refused to pathfind home, too busy flirting instead. Combined with the "Thanks for being a captain; here's your parting meal" thing from yesterday, his hunger bar's topped off. No point in hunting. There's nothing else to do if you're a phantom except whatever the captain orders. And Martyn tasked him with the delivery route.

Bdubs climbs the clock tower and ducks inside the storage room. Pungence already prepped a satchel of souls for delivery. He always does. Good on him. Some people have an easier time hunting than others (Physically and/or emotionally). Bdubs slings it over his shoulder and turns out the lanterns. He shuts the storage room door, but leaves it slightly propped so it won't auto-lock. None of the fox eggs look like they've hatched yet. Hard to tell, though… Most are under a blanket. A few sit by a magma block.

Bdubs glances at the stairwell, but Martyn stomped off with Cleo. He'll be back soon, of course, of course, but… Don't they need to be rotated? That's what Etho always says. Etho used to eggsit for his mom all the time before he finally moved out of her den and settled long-term in New Star.

The fox eggs are Martyn's responsibility. It does him no favors if Bdubs handles everything for him. But… Bdubs walks over and touches one of the exposed eggs with a hand. He yanks his fingers back.

Too hot. Oh, they're cookin'.

Dozens and dozens of eggs lay cozied up in warm wool blankets all around the roost. Bdubs shifts the eggs nearest the magma block away and replaces them with the eggs at the farthest blanket edges. He tucks the blanket under a bit more, sends Martyn a whisper - Leaving for delivery route, eggs look kinda cold btw but I rotated the ones on the magma - and heads downstairs again. Every step clunks and clangs. When he reaches the bottom, he's got a response from Martyn… but it's not much to look at.

𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒: Vex foi amaldiçoada por seu pai com a dor de seus golpes, dessa forma, toda vez que acerta um alvo, sente o golpe tal qual este estivesse sendo infringido nela mesma, apesar de não sofrer com as mesmas consequências, se não a própria dor. 

𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐀: sua arma é uma lança de guerra de bronze celestial de duas pontas que servem tanto para rasgar quanto perfurar seus inimigos, contudo, apenas de uma de suas pontas pode eletrificar seu adversário. embora seja comum, a arma não foi dada à Vex por Ares, mas sim ela que a fez com a ajuda de um filho de Hefesto. outra coisa interessante a se tomar por forma é que ela pode se separar em duas armas unidas por uma corrente comprida. quando “escondida”, sua lança se transforma em um par de baquetas pretas que se transformam ao seu comando especial.

𝐇𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐃𝐄: sua habilidade é a odimcinese, ou seja, a capacidade de manipular sentimentos e emoções que estejam relacionadas a guerra (raiva, ódio, medo, pânico. entretanto, Vex também as sente quando entra em contato, então de frente a alguém sentindo pânico, isso será transferido para si.

𝐆𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐎: Castigados de Caronte.

𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐈𝐀:

A casa do barulho. É assim que ficou conhecida a casa onde Vermont morava com a mãe e o irmão alguns anos mais velho. Principalmente porque desde cedo demonstrou amor por bater em coisas e criar sons (iniciou com as panelas da casa e só avançou, até que chegasse à sua bateria) e porque as brigas com o seu irmão eram uma constante na vida agitada da família.

Sua mãe, uma mulher simples de cabelos escuros e estatura alta, havia crescido em uma família de poucos recursos e isso não a favoreceu na vida real, de forma que, ao sair de casa, precisava trabalhar muito para manter-se. Especialmente com a chegada dos filhos. Claro, era uma renegada da família. Sempre que recebiam a visita da família materna, o clima era de um velório recém começado ou então, quem sabe, de uma disputa por bens. Os avós de Vex nunca aceitaram que tanto ela quanto seu irmão não possuíam uma paternidade certa e que a mãe, Vera, não era casada. Frequentemente, as brigas entre os adultos aconteciam na frente dos irmãos, sem segredo algum guardado da decepção que sentiam ao olhar para as crianças.

Isso, claramente, afetou-os em seu crescimento, principalmente porque nenhum dos dois eram bons na escola, sempre conseguindo apenas a metade da metade da nota. A dificuldade de aprendizagem levou Vera à algumas reuniões severas, onde criticavam a falta de atenção e os erros ortográficos dos dois, fora, é claro, a energia exagerada que tinham e que os impedia de permanecer sentados. Foi difícil para convencê-la de que havia algo de errado e o diagnóstico custou bastante do dinheiro suado da mulher, mas mesmo assim, lá estavam ele: ambos com TDAH e Dislexia.

Após isso, as coisas na escola melhoraram brevemente, leis prometiam e previam adaptações nas atividades e assim ambos começaram a pelo menos ficar na média escolar. Não impedia, entretanto, de se meterem em seus problemas individuais. Vex, na fala de seus professores, tinha problemas com raiva e surtos de ódio que frequentemente levavam-na a bater em seus colegas, especialmente aqueles que lhe incomodavam e incomodavam seus amigos.

Isso, entretanto, só foi explicado com a ida ao tal acampamento de verão. A ausência paterna não mudou, mas ao menos sabiam de quem eram filhos: Vex era filha de Ares. O que explicava, sinceramente, muita coisa. Lá, porém, viam-se tão em casa quanto quando estavam com sua mãe.

Até que, em uma determinada missão, encontraram problemas. Pouco a pouco, foram tomados pelo pavor e, despreparados, não foram o suficiente para vencer a situação que enfrentavam. Foram dizimados à medida em que Vermont se escondia, a única sobrevivente.

Além de sua atitude não ser bem vista por seu pai, também não foi bem vista pelos outros deuses que haviam perdido sua prole naquele dia. Não foi à toa que seu pai a amaldiçoou e ela foi colocada a cumprir castigos junto com outros semideuses presentes nos Castigados de Caronte.
