Figure collecting: 2023 display breakdown - vampires and other things that go bump in the night

Happy to see interest in my figure displays!  So as promised here’s my first breakdown, starting with the left upright cabinet, top shelf.

From left to right, roughly: Raziel and Kain (Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver), Trevor Belmont, Alucard and Maria Renard (Castlevania), Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII), Sebastian Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji), D (Vampire Hunter D), Yui (Vampire Princess Yui).

I still need to install a “floor” on this shelf (likely something like gray cobblestone would be appropriate), but waiting to see if I can get a more suitable stone or castle themed backdrop before doing so.

LOYALLY HOW? SHE ISN'T EVEN A FUCKING PERSON? SHE'S JUST RICHTER'S SATELLITE LOVE INTEREST WHO NEEDS TO BE SAVED. SHE GETS TURNED INTO A VAMPIRE, THE ONE INTERESTING THING THAT HAPPENS TO HER, AND SHE'S THERE TO BE SEXY FOR RICHTER.

Annette's biggest plot line is that:

A.) She gets kidnapped by Dracula and Richter saves her.

B.) She gets turned into a vampire and obsesses over Richter.

There is nothing to adapt loyally because she's not a character!

Castlevania games have always been light on plot. The same goes for their characters.

Yeah, no. I'd rather take the one that actually feels like a real character, with real motivations and a rich backstory. I'll take the one who can stand side by side with Richter in battle. The one who is both wonderful independent and connected with Richter.

She's flawed and angry. Filled with pride of her history and ancestry. Who is starting to realize that she might like this Richter Belmont fellow, despite his abrasive attitude. She sees herself in this handsome, arrogant, loyal vampire hunter. In him she sees a reflection of her fears and insecurities. In him she can see a way to beating back the threats that plague the land.

In each other, they see hope.

Richter's abilities return to him because he needs to protect her, along with Tera and Maria. In turn, Annette isn't alone in this fight. She is a woman of color, finding herself in a strange land with people who despise her just for her skin. But with Richter, Tera and Maria? She's not alone.

They see something in one another that is worth admiring.

And one day, perhaps, something worth loving.

Some another Vampire Shadow imagined from Vampire Hunter D. My sister in heavens I was reminded there was one official art from Shadow dressed up as a vampire I swear I’ve seen it before and you know how mysterious Shadow can be and he just fits THAT TYPE. I have to write it soon. I have to get my brain cycling and running.

Can you just imagine him, after bearing hatred for humanity for thousands of year but all crashes down when he encounters you and later begins to slowly falls for you?

Can you just imagine him not wanting to sink his fangs, fighting every urge just to take a sip from your blood yet, he does not want to hurt you and fears that he’ll frighten you?

SEGA I shall never forgive you for taking Shadow’s iconic fangs away.

You have like injected my brain worms with crack. What have you done to me. ❤️

Vampire!Shadow

He would be so over protective of you. Shadow wants to shelter you and hide every aspect of your relationship. It happened eons ago he lost Maria to a mob. The times might have changed, but he’s still so worried that it will happen again.

When you’re out and about, Shadow is true to his name. He follows you from afar, hiding in the shadows. Eliminating anything that poses a threat to you.

LETTING HIM DRINK FROM YOU. OH HOLY FUCK.

Shadow is trying so hard not to over do it. Asks for your hand to squeeze his so he can feel when it’s taken too far. If he can’t feel your hand squishing his, immediately stops. Either that or you have to count down from 100.

Leaving a trail of saliva from your throat to the side of your neck. Shadow presses his lips to that perfect little spot, sucking before sinking his fangs in.

So, so, soooooo many hickies on your neck and collarbones.

GIVE HIM BACK HIS FANGS SONIC TEAM. COWARDS!!! DONT TELL US HE FILED THEM DOWN.

Let’s talk that about in the final big boss battle that Mizrak had the extremely high chance of dying and Olrox knew that very well. Mizrak is essentially handicap unlike the rest of the group who are magic users he is at an EXTREME disadvantage because he’s just a regular guy. While Richter and Maria are fighting off Drolta Mizrak was fighting off some small fries and got quickly overwhelmed if it wasn’t for Olrox’s help.

Olrox: I got you baby 😉

This is where Olrox truly stands. He’s not Erzsabet’s lackeys or part of Richter’s band of misfits he’s purely for Mizrak. He’s team Mizrak only.

Olrox is Mizrak’s Tuxedo Mask to his Sailor Moon here to quickly step in when Mizrak get’s too overwhelmed. He doesn’t kill ALL of the vampire mooks but leaves some for Mizrak to kill some and only intervenes when he’s getting overwhelmed because Mizrak is one human man and vampires can easily overcrowd when there’s too many. Maria has her little magic friends fighting.

While Mizrak is all alone fighting.

Olrox is there to intervene when things get too rough on Mizrak.

Olrox quickly dips when Mizrak makes his suicide charge at Erzsabet and knows that Mizrak will most likely get killed because Mizrak isn’t necessarily important but he is to him. And Olrox is pretty much breaking the forth wall because Richter is a powerful magician coming from a long line of vampire hunters and Erzsabet will probably keep him alive to use him as forge mastery because she needs a human. Erzsabet also needs Maria to sacrifice and turn her into a vampire but what about Mizrak? No— he’s not important what’s so ever. He’s a red shirt and has a high %100 chance of dying. He’s a red shirt and Olrox is aware that in Mizrak’s position he is disposable. He isn’t a magic user and doesn’t come from a line of powerful vampire hunters— Mizrak is an ordinary man in the eyes of the plot.

Richter is important and has plot armor while Mizrak doesn’t—Olrox IS his plot armor.

Mizrak: let me go now!

Olrox: honey you’re not the main character she’ll kill you!

Mizrak is not this super powerful golden child and comes from a line of nobodies but he is important to Olrox and that’s what all that matters!

I need for Alucard to use vicious mockery as an attack on the self confidence of his enemies in Nocturne S2, my man probably has every decade of insulting slang and degrading poetry saved up for special occasions.

Younger Vampire: "You and your posse of hunters don't stand a chance against our Goddess, you-"

Alucard: "Now see here, you poorly educated school child. Your Goddess may be a threat to us, but you're little more than an undervalued waif of insultingly fragile constitution who thinks that playing paperboy is some great form of honor when in reality, your rank as the so-called Messiah's message carrier amounts to less than the labors of a carrier pigeon."

Younger Vampire: *Starts Crying and Walks Themselves Out into The Sun*

Olrox (Watching From The Shadows): "Godsdamn....... That fledgling got cooked like a rotisserie chicken."

Richter: *Jaw on the Floor*

Annette: "Wow, never before have I been so taken by the brutality of a roast, I demand that you teach me your ways!"

Maria: "Mean.... Yet simple and effective, I like it."

Juste: *Speechless*

Okay but listen to me. Richter, Maria, Annette, and Edouard are the underdogs of this season. They fucking suck at fighting vampires. None of them were even trying to aim for their hearts. They also have uncoordinated attacks. Zero teamwork. They're better fighting separately but even so, they were weak as fuck. You know why? Becuase we're so getting Teacher Alucard back in season 2. He's going to train them. Make them hunt him as the vampire they should kill. And it's going to hurt him because memories of Sypha, Trevor, Greta, Taka, and Sumi are all going to rush back to him throughout the training. Training hunters again is also healing for Alucard. And when he finally reunites with zombified Sypha, Trevor, and Greta-

Wounds and Scars

Richter Belmont x f! reader (Fluff + Angst)

Summary: Richter began to open up to his girlfriend (Y/n), telling her about his past and what happened to his mother.

Richter may be a reckless moron but hey he’s a Belmont. He hunts down vampires. You always have a go at Richter for not being too careful. Maria, who is like a little sister to him, yells at him for making you worry. Her mother just stood by and watched the whole thing as she giggled. Your loverboy shuts you up by tickling your neck with kisses. 

Whenever the vampire hunter gets badly wounded, you tend to his injuries using your healing magic. As you do that, you couldn’t help but set your eyes towards the old scars on his back. You asked if he got them by killing powerful vampires. Richter answered simply. 

‘Yes’

He began to tell you about his life as a child, wanting to become a vampire hunter like his dear mother Julia Belmont. Normally Richter doesn’t talk about this stuff to anyone as it haunts him very much. Your face streamed down a waterfall of tears after hearing how his mother died tragically. You embraced him gently from behind, your hand entwined with his. 

You comforted him, your head leaning onto his shoulder, ‘You and I…’ your words warming thoroughly into his ear, ‘we will go through this together…’ 

Richter curved a small smile. He lifts your hand up to his lips, giving a sweet-loving kiss to the knuckles. His gaze fell upon you, his sea blue orbs reminded you of the beautiful ocean waves.

‘What would I do without you, my dear flower?’

‘Funny you’re stuck with me for eternity, my silly idiotic vampire hunter…’
