My Vampire OC Floyd Nightshade

I am currently working on a novel and film called Vampire Detective. It's about a vampire who happens to be a detective in the Victorian era. This is my original character, Floyd Nightshade. He is intelligent, sarcastic, arrogant, charming, introverted, cynical, and gets a sick thrill out of killing people in a Jack the Ripper sort of way, but deep down he's noble and passionate about solving crimes. He has a distorted view of justice, he spares the innocent, but kills the guilty and he knows how to get away with murder. He goes by the nickname The Prince of Death. He loves all things dark and macabre. He's also a fan of Edgar Allen Poe.

Something just occurred to me.

Sooooooo...given that 'vampire detective' is a popular enough character archetype to have a trope named after it, and just how many adaptations there have been of Sherlock Holmes over the years (including THAT one)...

Why haven't we gotten vampire! Sherlock Holmes yet????!?

Today's comic is not about Millie and Prudence. I thought I'd give them a brief break and see what the Vampire Police Detective and his wife were up to. Evidently, it's about their cat, Fluffy. The first time I did this, the cat was black and then I thought if someone reads the comic and see why it's named Fluffy and there is a black cat, it didn't make sense, so I had to change it to a white cat. And yes, it is wearing a crucifix around it neck. I suspect I'll answer why Fluffy is wearing a crucifix at a later date.

I'm glad that I've gotten into Asian dramas later than others because I have more series to discover and enjoy. Considering that I work from home, and I like having something to do in downtime or pleasant background noises, this is perfect for me. Today, I decided to type "vampire" in the search bar of my drama site. The poster for Vampire Detective caught my attention, and so did the trailer.😁

Four years after the train crash that nearly ended his life and resulted in the death of his beloved wife. Detective James Barlowe is assigned a new case that will forever change his life. Thrown into a world he never believed existed.

James opened his eyes and looked around. He felt as though his body had been ripped apart and poorly stitched back together. He peeled his head off the snow to reveal a small pool of blood that had formed where his head once lay. He felt his forehead, he could feel that his right eyebrow had been gashed open. Disoriented, he tried to pull himself to his feet only to stumble into the snow. James lay back in the snow in defeat, he knew he had a few broken ribs. He sat up to see what was left of the train. Chaos had broken loose on the train. Man had turned against man and the only thing that had stopped the bloodshed was the explosion. The explosion in the car in front of them had derailed the train, leaving little to no survivors. Still deafened by the explosion, his ears still ringing. James groaned as he pulled himself to his feet. He could see a body laying in the snow in the distance. The snow was a few feet high. He struggled to push through the powdered snow that felt like razor blades against his skin. As he got closer, he soon realized it was Dawn. Laying in the snow, the white flakes were now painted with blood that surrounded her body. James crawled toward her body and pulled her into his embrace as he wept. Moving strands of her black hair out of her face, still wet from laying in the snow. He begged and pleaded for her to wake up. They ended up having to drag him away. He had fought hard to let her go and it took four men to drag him into the ambulance. James had survived the crash with a handful of others. He had never considered his house a home without the presence of Dawn. James had found himself in his therapist's office. Laying on a chaise lounge as his therapist told him the news. He had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. He thought his career was over, with such a diagnosis under his belt. He would be forced to sit at a desk for the rest of his life. He wasn't going to let that happen and ended up bribing his therapist in return for keeping his secret. His therapist deemed him happy and healthy. In perfect psychological health to return to work. James awoke gasping and panting, he looked up to see Dawn towering over him.

"Have you sobered up yet?" Dawn asked, "I see you slept on the floor..." She laughed and offered him her hand.

James groaned as he reached out and took her hand. Dawn helped him to his feet and walked around him. She sniffed him and looked at him disgusted. James lifted his arm and smelt his underarms, not fazed by his own odour.

"You smell like you just crawled out of a cemetery..." Dawn told him.

Hi so if you're a follower you probably noticed I'm not super active with Moonlight (2007) content on this account (I got a bit of burnout which can definitely happen when you make content for a show that is older and does not have a currently active fandom

I am still looking for Moonlight promos and commercials when I can but it's gotten pretty hard recently (if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it)

This is one of my characters from my Vampire Detective story. This Dr. Johnathan Dawson. He is Floyd's partner. He's basically the Watson to Floyd's Sherlock, however, the two have a Zuko and Uncle Iroh relationship. He was inspired by Dr. King Schultz from Django. He's the kind of person who will tell you the truth, whether you want to hear it or not. He doesn't like Floyd's methods of killing, but he is loyal in helping him in an investigation when he needs it. He's not afraid to confront Floyd when he does something wrong, knowing very well that Floyd won't kill him. He's also good with a gun that he is concerned the "Best Shot in London."
