10th house ruler in the houses
Ideal career <3

I have made a post about the 10th house if you wish to know more about it.
1st house: modeling, content creation (focused on YOU, your opinions, your reviews, your personality), leadership/innovative jobs, anything that makes you shine
2nd house: becoming a chef, taking on lucrative projects, huge focus on accumulating material wealth, staying authentic and true to your values and making sure it doesn't fuck w ur emotional stability and stuff- no sacrifices
3rd house: consider working in a family-run business, utilizing writing talent, maybe something debate related, teaching elementary school/little kids, something mind stimulating
4th house: stay at home mom/dad or working from home, babysitting, having a more obscure job and being private about job matters, having a job that allows you to be family oriented as well, providing for your fam being a motivation of urs
5th house: art, creativity, modeling/makeup artist, hair stylist, social media manager, going with the flow, innovation, laid back/light hearted when it comes to duty, being quite lucky in the career side of things
6th house: administrative work, athletic field, diet expert or nutritionist, doctor, being quite involved in your work matters on the daily and taking it seriously, work relationships (coworkers, subordinates, superiors) being relevant for better or for worse
7th house: tbh I'm drawing a blank on this one 😭 I'd look at the sign of the 10th house buuuuttttt anything/anywhere that you feel comfortable as/in for a while should be good. This also indicates maybe meeting someone special at work? 👀 or working together with/creating a business with your long term partner. Also be aware of how ur relationship with ur business partners goes cuz it's important especially deals involving contracts
8th house: accounting, investment, stocks, real estate, finance jobs basically anything that involves other people's money and also maybe inspector jobs, detective work esp homicide involved (ace attorney vibes lol), performing autopsies etc u get the idea and we could also add occult related jobs as well
9th house: spiritual work, teaching individuals esoteric matters, astrologer, tarot, palmistry readings, jobs that allow you or even encourage you to be like a forever student and stuff
10th house: traditional jobs, CEO, career success is important to you and you tend to prioritize it regardless of whatever else is going on in ur life, any jobs that requires a high level of achievement and handling pressure with grace
11th house: social media related, working within a group, collaborative effort, compromise, maybe prioritizing other endeavors centered around making an impact such as activism, vouching for the oppressed and volunteering
12th house: therapist, readings, helping people work through their issues and do shadow work, alchemy work aka turning pain into power, also helping individuals achieve balance in the mental as well as spiritual plane (feminine and masculine energy for example) etc
Of course this is very general!! You need to look at loaaaads of other stuff but yeah comment down below your 10th house placements

The finale must have seemed like absolute horseshit to the Jinxers. They spent what seemed like several months resisting Piltover's violent occupation of Zaun where they are regularly harassed,

assaulted,

imprisoned,

shot at, and plainly intimidated in their own homes.
All for it to mean nothing, because everything they did had no bearing on Piltover's decision to pull back the occupation. And after what seemed like months of being terrorized they're asked to join a fight of which it's catalyst and driving force is hextech and it's creators. A technology and group of people that have never directly or indirectly benefitted them in any tangible way, and didn't one of those guys kill a kid in Zaun a couple months back!?!?!???

But it's the end of the world so of course they're going to fight, and of course many of them died. Some worse than others, in the uniforms of the forces that beat and imprisoned them.
On the battlefield all the double standards are laid bare for them to see because Piltover has fully weaponized hextech to defend themselves from an aggressor. Meanwhile one of the core reasons their home was gassed and occupied was to rid the place of shimmer. Without it Zaun was easily occupied by Piltover and they died in droves on the battlefield from wounds that it would have easily healed by it.
And after everything that's happened, from the invasion of their home, the violent repression, the deaths of their leaders and their symbol, they gained practically nothing in return. Even the power Sevika gained as a councilmember is completely dependent on when a Piltovan deigns to side with her. What's worse, there's literally nothing stopping from Piltover from doing it all over again. Piltover didn't need hextech to occupy Zaun, without shimmer, all they needed was their guns.
So what happens next?
Obviously, this isn't over. None of what's happened will be forgotten, especially by the faction that appeared to spend the most time fighting the occupation. Even though they've gained nothing of material value from Piltover, the connections and skills they've forged in the conflict are decent substitutes.

Some of these new skills include gunsmithing! An incredible development in Zaun as only Jinx and Piltover had a monopoly on the technology. Add to that the fact that the Jinxers don't just admire Jinx, but likely Silco as well and are even depicted fighting the enforcers alongside Silco's former underlings, there's clearly a new wave of militancy brewing.
This leads me to wonder if over time the Jinxers would morph into something like the Inx. The Inx are of course a noncanon Jinx-aligned faction, but their creation was heavily inspired by Arcane and even included Silco's iconography in their aesthetic.

Now first off, the Inx are dangerous. They're violent, obnoxious in a hooligan kind of way, and they operate kind of like a cult (real estate fraud and all), but they're also the kind of dangerous Silco enabled in Jinx. Leading members like Chadd above are artistically creative, inventive, charismatic, and genuinely well-organized.
The Inx are incredibly capable of amazing feats (and great music), they're just sort of directionless, and the Jinxers have an ideology that's likely to only get more extreme and a real enemy, but little in terms of power. With a foundation like the Jinxers, something like the Inx could form in Zaun, but far more dangerous. Post-finale the Jinxers will likely be the ones to invest their time in making Zaun's next generation both as innovative and dangerous as possible to make Zaun's streets as uncontrollable and terrifying for enforcers as when shimmer was around.
#arcane#silco#jinx arcane#gert arcane#the jinxers#the inx#convergence game#conv/rgence#chadd convergence#arcane ramble#both the game and the show suffer from the same biases of their creators#but the inx were at least given more scale and grandeur that it's fun to think of them as the next stage of the jinxers#jinxers#the jinxers are the ones who got beaten down by the enforcers the most so i can't not think they would be the most discontent#with the “peace”#especially since it's one where everything about it has Piltover in control#anyone with sense can tell you that “compromise” is doomed to fail pnz are almost completely back at square 1 except it's all#dependent on like 2 more piltovans having a conscience but it's still up to them cuz there's nothing holding them accountable#Sevika's coalition is going to fracture in six months... tops#league of legends#lol

So, in Busman’s Homeymoon, Lord Peter buys Harriet Vane a mink cloak worth 950 pounds (according to the Dowager Duchess’ journal entry), but he buys Tallboys for “only” 650 pounds.
Even bearing in mind that real estate really did used to be cheaper, do you understand how that is possible? Or how to find out more about relative purchasing power? I used an online calculator website which gave me some figures, but it still seems insane that one could buy an entire Elizabethan farmhouse for 2/3 the price of a garment! Very curious to learn from others who understand this better than I do.
Ah, I see my esteemed colleague @oldshrewsburyian has also had some interesting thoughts on this, so I'll link that here as well before I begin.
So, it's a legitmate question, and there's no catch-all simple answer (in the gotcha sense of 'why didn't i know that bit of cultural Truth'), but there are mitigating factors that take it from a ridiculous price comparison, to merely outlandish. Even taking into account that the coat is quoted in guineas, not pounds, and that PW says the bank valued Talboys at £800 via a mortgage (the paid price was a discount, for paying in cash quickly, which is Plot Relevant), it gets us to roughly the same place, value-wise. Or shall we say PRICE-wise, rather than value, as I'll get into below. There's several factors at play here - they mainly relate to class, and spending power:
-The house is Not That Great, in terms of the kind of property that PW would usually be buying. I mean it is still a large-ish house, big enough to have 2 adults and small children in, but it's not what would be on his radar normally. The only reason they know about it, it that it's near a place where HARRIET grew up as a child. It's not getting any high marks in particular Beauty, Convenience, or Quality - the main reason HV's drawn to it is sentiment, rather than anything else. They both know that they will have to significantly add to it, and alter it, in order for it to be a comfortable home. That would usually be out-of-budget for someone in Harriet's position, who would expect to buy something that meets her needs 'as-is'. Most people looking at buying that house would be Harriets not Peters, so it might be a tough sell.
-The house has no power, and limited plumbing: There's dark references to DRAINS by the dowager duchess, it's entirely possible that this house has no modern plumbing at all - they make the comparison that the huge palace the Wimseys grew up in wasn't plumbed until recently, but then again they do have about 800 servants, whereas Talboys is just a regular house: they will have Bunter alone (at first), with an assist from Mrs Ruddle. There's mention of "a cistern" with some basic valves, but the scullery is mentioned as having a copper, from which hot water is "scooped into a large bath-can" - a copper being, simply, a large metal basin over a fire, in effect. No running hot water, maybe no flushable loos - it's a factor. They also talk specifially about having to electrify Talboys themselves - it's candles and lamps until then. It's fancy camping. By the mid-1930s, a lot of middle-class buyers would expect a little more convenience in both water and wiring, unless they had significant support staff, which Talboys would not be expected to house.
-There's probably no farm! It's a farm house - not a wider land purchase. People like PW's brother the Duke are wealthy primarily because they own land, not because of the big palace they have (which eats money, rather than generates it). The land is what gives them spending power, because other people are paying them rent to live on it, farm on it, or both. PW's own personal 'younger sibling' wealth is also mentioned somewhere to be primarily in real estate (assumed to be in London) - sad to say: he's a landlord, and that's why he's rich. Talboys, on the other hand, as a purchase, would not, in almost any way, be expected to generate revenue through either farming, agriculture, or charging rent. Until they invent house flipping in 80 years, or until the motorway goes through in 40 years, there's not much expectation that Talboys would increase all that much in value.
-Lastly, there's a massive disparity in what The Market Will Bear when we compare a basic residence vs a luxury item (like a mink coat) in the mid-1930s. This is not particular to that time, though. Like any first-year economics student will tell you, the price of something is not it's intrinsic value, it's what someone is WILLING to pay for it. If someone is willing to pay such a price, that's the price it will be. So, we're not comapring Objects, we're comparing Buyers: the the main purchasers of a slightly run-down farmhouse located nowhere special are Harriets, and main purchasers of mink coats are Peters. Talboys is priced for Harriets. The mink coat is priced for Peters.
Compare for example, a contemporary parallel: the Hermes Birkin bag. It's a leather handbag with a starting retail price of about USD 11,400. Just for the bag. Then, you have fancier versions of the fancy bag, eg wikipedia tells me one version sold at auction for USD 380,000 in Hong Kong in 2017. Now, the Harriets of today are not buying a Hermes Birkin handbag, but they are probably trying to buy slightly run-down houses outside urban centers for (one hopes) slightly less than 380k. The Wimseys of the worlds are clearly buying Birkin bags. In that way, it's actually pretty easy to get to a place where Person A might buy a single luxury item for X pounds, and Person B might buy a whole residence for X pounds, and neither feel like they'd done something insane. The key here is in a Wimsey/Vane marriage, they run up against this concept immediately, and repeatedly.
There's a good reason the first epistolary section of the novel is almost entirely taken up with money chat - the ring, the purchase of shirts from Burlington Arcade, the marriage settlement, the gift from the bride to the groom, the mink coat, the bitchy exchange between Helen and Harriet about HV being allowed "six free copies of her book" to distribute. These people come from 2 fundamentally different experiences of the world. They might have gotten engaged using the word 'Magistra', specifically to emphasise their fundamental equality (in the context of learning and the mind, to begin with), but it can't be denied: there's gaps that need to be bridged. They both know parts of their married life will be spent in attempting to do that, hopefully to their mutual satisfaction. Mention of a mink coat for 950 guineas is a nice, neat shorthand for illustrating what's still at play between them here.
#dorothy l sayers#and this isn't even getting into the delicious things like#a) helen being considered unspeakably vulgar by calling attention to the price of HV's ring but#b) peter being considered friendly and polite by openly stating what he paid for talboys#like these are some delicate class rules at play here! when to mention money and when NOT to mention money! context matters!#here's so much going on - this is (I feel) what DLS means when she says she couldn't simply marry them off#they'd have to really engage with what that would mean#and then she wrote 2 whole novels about it#replies#fromthedeskofcripslock

hi! i really want to get better with my finances next year but.... i have NO idea where to start. i'm a writer and english major, maths is my enemy and i'm so bad with numbers. but i'm 21, i'm getting older and graduating my masters next year and it's time to get started with my career as i won't be living off of this student loan anymore AND will have to eventually pay it back 😭
i wanted to know if you have any tips about finances, saving ... what i should even do, how i begin? any resources or beginner books to get me started on knowing anything money wise? i'm literally a 2 year old when it comes to this topic i'm quite clueless but i want it to change, so literally any basic advice would help me so much right now. by the time 2025 ends i want to be really good with money and finance knowledge!
First of all it’s amazing that you’re 21 & already graduating with your masters!!!
Let’s start with some simple tips:
For one month, write down every dollar you spend. This will show you where your money goes and where you can cut back.
Use the 50/30/20 rule: 50% of your income for needs, 30% for wants & 20% for savings or debt.
Even if it’s small, open a high yield savings account and set up automatic transfers. Saving a little every month adds up fast!
You can start learning about investing. These are beginner friendly ideas to help you grow your money:
1. Index Funds and ETFs: These are great for beginners because they’re low cost & diversified. Popular ones include the S&P 500 index funds (like VOO or SPY). You don’t have to pick individual stocks, you’re investing in a basket of companies.
2. Retirement Accounts: Roth IRA or 401(k) (if offered by your job). Contributions grow tax free in a Roth IRA, which is great for long term wealth.
3. Dividend Stocks: Some companies like Coca Cola or Johnson & Johnson play dividends. This gives you regular income while your investment grows.
4. Fractional Shares: Apps like Robinhood, Fidelity, or M1 Finance let you buy small portions of expensive stocks like Amazon or Tesla so you can start with as little as $5.
5. Real Estate Investing: If buying property isn’t an option yet, try REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), which let you invest in real estate without owning property.
6. Life Insurance: You can use life insurance to build wealth. With whole or universal life insurance, you can borrow against the policy’s cash value to invest or cover major expenses. Payouts are generally tax-free, and the cash value grows tax deferred.

One of my husband's DnD players is a real estate agent. He's the one who helped us find and buy our house.
I recently had a chat with him, mostly me ranting about everyone saying you should keep your house beige and boring because of the resale value. Basically, live like renters. He wants me to share this info with you:
Buyers want color. Most of the buyers who insist on beige and boring are, in fact, landlords. He's had to deal with several. There are some folks who just want a blank slate to add color, but most of the time, it's landlords.
Adding color actually raises the home value. Why? People want color! Most homebuyers have lived as renters. They have been surrounded by bland for years. It's like going from eating bland unflavored unsweetened oatmeal and then discovering flavored and sweetened oatmeal exists. Buyers generally don't want to live a life of plain oatmeal.
Wallpaper is iffy. If an entire room has wallpaper, buyers tend to lose interest. If just one or two walls have wallpaper, and the other walls are painted to go with it? Buyers are actually excited.
The only real occasion he has seen where buyers are aghast about the wallpaper or paint is when the room they're seeing is a nursery. Unless they're expecting a baby or planning on having any, the nursery is often the make or break space.
Tile your bathrooms with color. Few people want an all-white bathroom. It feels too much like a locker room bathroom space when it's all white. if nervous, choose a white tile with a print on it, like flowers, or have a few tiles with colors or prints.
Putting wallpaper inside cupboars and cabinets may seem cute, but often comes off as being something like a time capsule. It was most popular in the 60s-70s. Some folks love it, but they tend to be elderly and feel a sense of nostalgia.
You are actively increasing the value of your home by giving it color and life. Even just painting the window or door frames, or a single wall in each room, will make a HUGE difference!
Former renters do not want to live like renters. They want a home, not just a place that happens to have all their things in it.

it cooled off! 🎉 it’s overcast but that’s fine by me. i’m not really as much of a fan of being half blinded by the naked sun as everyone else is
scored someone nearby’s opera tickets at a substantial discount (i keep alerts on all three opera houses at kleinanzeigen. mostly people sell at cost, but not always) so i took a morning walk to pick those up. i moved in december and haven’t seen this neighborhood other than in winter before. leaves and lilacs and magnolias oh my
there are two s-bahn stations in walking distance (really three but two are on the same stretch of the ring line so the farther adds negligible personal value) and the ticket seller lives down the other side of the one i use least often, so i had a relatively interesting walk, although today is good friday so everything i passed was closed except for the bakeries and, charmingly, the flower sellers
i passed this shop

as an erstwhile new yorker this blew my mind. imagine an vintage/antique musical instruments artisan (even throwing in a broader-scoped furniture restoration partner) working out of a literal brick and mortar storefront space in a cobble hill prewar building. you can’t. thanks to price controls, berlin real estate has some major pathologies new york doesn’t have but also some pretty wholesome optionalities new york has just fully forgotten about. love stumbling on these preposterously specialized storefronts
got a quick breakfast at the local before the holiday rush and hey! it’s Spargel season! (… there is no unicode emoji for asparagus, wtf? let’s storm the un about it, they probably have free bandwidth)
later i’m going to the here-there-be-dragons wilds of far east berlin to look at a pair of secondhand boots at €15, so the adventure continues
still running a moderately spectacular sleep deficit, but what else is new. i like being here and i like today

Unlocking Passive Income: The Power of Passive Multifamily Real Estate Funds
In today's world, where financial security and passive income streams are highly sought after, investing in real estate has proven to be a lucrative choice. However, not everyone has the time, expertise, or resources to manage individual properties or navigate the complexities of real estate investing. This is where passive multifamily real estate funds come into play. In this blog, we'll explore what passive multifamily real estate funds are, their benefits, and why they have become a popular choice for investors seeking financial stability and growth.
What is a Passive Multifamily Real Estate Fund?
A passive multifamily real estate fund is a vehicle that allows investors to pool their capital together to invest in multifamily real estate properties without actively managing them. These funds are typically managed by experienced real estate professionals who make decisions on behalf of the investors, from property acquisition and management to eventual sale. Passive investors, also known as limited partners, provide the capital and share in the profits and losses generated by the fund.
Key Features and Benefits
Diversification: One of the primary advantages of investing in a passive multifamily real estate fund is diversification. These funds typically own multiple properties, which spreads the risk across different assets and markets. Diversification helps mitigate the impact of market fluctuations or individual property issues, offering a more stable and predictable return on investment.
Professional Management: Passive investors in these funds benefit from the expertise of professional real estate managers. These managers have the knowledge and experience to identify, acquire, and manage multifamily properties effectively. They handle day-to-day operations, property maintenance, tenant management, and strategic decision-making, relieving investors of the burden of active management.
Access to Larger Deals: Passive multifamily real estate funds often have the resources to invest in larger and more valuable properties than individual investors could afford on their own. This access to scale can potentially lead to higher returns and greater income opportunities.
Limited Liability: Limited partners in these funds have limited liability, meaning their exposure to potential losses is capped at their initial investment. This limited liability protection offers peace of mind to investors, as they are not personally responsible for any unforeseen expenses or liabilities incurred by the fund.
Passive Income: As the name suggests, passive multifamily real estate funds generate passive income for investors. Rental income from the properties owned by the fund is distributed to investors on a regular basis, typically monthly or quarterly. This consistent cash flow can provide financial stability and support a comfortable lifestyle.
Tax Benefits: Real estate investments come with various tax advantages, including depreciation deductions, capital gains tax benefits, and potential tax deferral through 1031 exchanges. Passive investors can take advantage of these tax benefits, which can enhance the overall returns of their investment.

Considerations for Investing
While passive multifamily real estate funds offer numerous benefits, investors should consider the following factors before investing:
Risk Profile: Even though these funds are considered relatively low-risk compared to active real estate management, there are still risks involved. Market downturns, tenant vacancies, and unforeseen expenses can affect returns. It's essential to evaluate the fund's risk profile and investment strategy carefully.
Due Diligence: Research the fund manager's track record, investment strategy, and the properties within the fund's portfolio. Conduct thorough due diligence to ensure the fund aligns with your financial goals and risk tolerance.
Liquidity: Real estate investments are typically less liquid than stocks or bonds. Investors should be prepared for a longer investment horizon, as it may take time to sell your investment in a multifamily real estate fund.

Conclusion
Passive multifamily real estate funds offer a compelling way for investors to tap into the world of real estate without the hassles of active management. These funds provide diversification, professional management, and the potential for passive income, making them an attractive option for those seeking long-term financial stability and growth. However, like any investment, it's essential to do your homework, understand the risks, and choose a fund that aligns with your investment goals. With the right approach, passive multifamily real estate funds can be a powerful tool in building wealth and generating passive income.

Venus in Capricorn: A Match Made in the Boardroom
Think power suits, meticulous spreadsheets, and strategic partnerships. While Capricorn's Venus might not be the life of the party, it's certainly the mastermind behind a thriving empire. Here's what to expect:
Forget the Fad, Embrace Forever: Building with Brick, not Bling, during Venus in Capricorn
Venus, the planet of love and beauty, takes a pragmatic turn in the austere halls of Capricorn. Forget fleeting trends and flash-in-the-pan ventures – this transit is all about value, stability, and building something that endures. Here's how to ditch the disposable and embrace the durable:
Shifting Sands to Sturdy Ground:
Long-term vision over passing whims: Instead of chasing the latest fad, invest in projects with legs. Think timeless designs, sustainable practices, and products built to last.
Quality over quantity: Ditch the "buy 10, get 1 free" mentality. Opt for well-made, ethically sourced items that stand the test of time and add true value to your life or business.
Brick by brick: Forget get-rich-quick schemes. Focus on building your wealth gradually, through smart investments, consistent effort, and responsible financial planning.
Partnerships with Purpose:
Strength in numbers: Seek alliances that add strategic value, complementary skills, and long-term stability. This isn't a one-night stand, but a marriage of minds and resources.
Mutual respect and shared goals: Align yourself with partners who share your vision for the future and are committed to building something sustainable together.
Win-win collaboration: Forget cutthroat competition. Seek partnerships where everyone benefits, creating a foundation for mutual growth and prosperity.
Investing in the Enduring:
Slow and steady wins the race: Forget the thrill of risky ventures. Choose long-term investments in established businesses, sustainable energy, or real estate that offer secure returns.
Nurturing what matters: Invest in your own skills, knowledge, and expertise. Education, training, and personal development are invaluable assets that yield lasting rewards.
Future-proof your finances: Build a budget that prioritizes financial security, debt reduction, and saving for the long haul. Think retirement plans, emergency funds, and responsible credit management.
Venus in Capricorn isn't about denying yourself, it's about shifting your focus from fleeting pleasures to lasting satisfaction. It's about building a life, a business, and relationships that stand the test of time, brick by well-placed brick. So, forget the fads, embrace the foundations, and watch your world – and your wealth – truly blossom.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, consider incorporating timeless classics, heritage pieces, and durable materials into your work or personal life. Think heirloom furniture, quality craftsmanship, and experiences that create lasting memories.
From Lone Wolf to Power Pack: Forging Strategic Alliances under Venus in Capricorn
Forget the lone wolf mentality – during Venus in Capricorn, collaboration becomes your superpower. Here's how to navigate this transit and turn strategic alliances into your secret weapon for business and personal success:
Strength in Numbers:
Synergy over solo: Identify partners whose skills, resources, and expertise complement yours, creating a force greater than the sum of its parts. Think marketing gurus teaming with tech wizards, or seasoned veterans pairing with innovative upstarts.
Market mastery: Seek alliances that open doors to new markets, expand your customer base, and strengthen your brand reach. Think global partnerships, cross-industry collaborations, or joint ventures that tap into untapped territories.
Sharing the load: Partnerships can help you tackle ambitious projects, share operational costs, and leverage diverse perspectives to overcome challenges. Think resource pooling, joint marketing campaigns, or co-developed products.
Beyond Handshakes:
Shared vision, not just shared profits: Align yourself with partners who not only bring practical value but also share your long-term vision, values, and commitment to ethical practices. Building trust and mutual respect is key.
Clear communication, ironclad agreements: Open and honest communication is vital to avoid misunderstandings and ensure everyone is on the same page. Negotiate fair terms, define roles and responsibilities, and create a win-win partnership agreement.
Mutual growth, not exploitation: Remember, a true partnership is a two-way street. Invest in your partner's success as you expect them to invest in yours. Celebrate shared victories and support each other during challenges.
Examples in Action:
A small eco-friendly clothing brand partners with a large online retailer to reach a wider audience and scale its sustainable production.
A team of experienced consultants collaborates with a team of young, tech-savvy developers to offer cutting-edge solutions to their clients.
Two local businesses in the same neighborhood join forces to host joint events, cross-promote their services, and attract new customers.
Remember, under Venus in Capricorn, strategic alliances are not short-term fixes but long-term investments in your future. Choose your partners wisely, nurture the relationships, and watch your combined forces elevate your business to new heights. By embracing collaboration, you not only achieve shared success but also build a network of valuable connections that can weather any storm.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, actively seek out networking opportunities, attend industry events, and connect with individuals or organizations whose expertise and vision align with yours. You never know where your next power partnership might blossom!
So, step out of your comfort zone, open your arms to collaboration, and watch the magic unfold as you build a thriving empire, not just brick by brick, but hand in hand.
Channel Your Inner Chess Master: Sharpening Your Negotiation Prowess in Venus in Capricorn
Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, might seem an unlikely warrior in the boardroom, but during her sojourn in Capricorn, her charm takes on a strategic edge. Forget impulsive deals and flowery persuasion; this transit is all about mastering the art of negotiation with shrewd calculations and unwavering determination. Ready to transform into a deal-closing powerhouse? Here's your playbook:
Know Your Worth, Inside and Out:
Research and preparation are key: Before entering any negotiation, gather all relevant data, market trends, and competitor analysis. Know your bottom line, your strengths, and the value you bring to the table.
Confidence is your armor: Don't underestimate yourself. Be clear about your goals and objectives, and project an aura of self-assurance and professionalism. A confident negotiator commands respect and commands better deals.
Listen with a hawk's ear: Pay close attention to your counterpart's needs, concerns, and priorities. Active listening allows you to identify leverage points and craft proposals that meet everyone's objectives.
Strategic Maneuvers on the Bargaining Table:
Think long-term: Focus on building mutually beneficial partnerships rather than short-term wins. Think strategic concessions that open doors to future collaborations or long-term contracts.
Patience is a virtue: Don't rush into the first offer. Be prepared to walk away if the deal doesn't align with your goals. This creates an air of power and strengthens your leverage.
The carrot and the stick, masterfully wielded: Combine firmness on key points with creative problem-solving and willingness to find common ground. Offer sweeteners or concessions on less crucial aspects to secure the bigger win.
Mastering the Art of Persuasion:
Facts are your ammunition: Back up your claims with data, reports, and evidence. A logical, data-driven approach resonates with the Capricorn Venus.
Speak with clarity and precision: Avoid emotional appeals or empty promises. Stick to concise, well-supported arguments that leave no room for misinterpretation.
Body language speaks volumes: Maintain eye contact, project confidence through your posture, and avoid fidgeting. Nonverbal cues can build trust and strengthen your negotiating position.
Bonus Tip: Practice your negotiation skills! Role-play scenarios with colleagues, mentors, or even yourself in the mirror. The more comfortable you are in the art of the deal, the easier it will be to secure those all-important victories.
Remember, under Venus in Capricorn, negotiation is not a battle but a chess game. Think strategically, play calculated moves, and always keep your ultimate goals in mind. By channeling your inner chess master, you can transform negotiations from stressful encounters into opportunities for mutual growth and solidify your reputation as a shrewd and successful deal-maker.
So, step into the negotiation arena with confidence, wield your skills like a seasoned strategist, and watch as you secure those winning deals that propel your business, finances, and even personal relationships to new heights.

Indulgence gets a serious upgrade, shifting from empty extravagance to lasting investments, meaningful experiences, and timeless treasures. Here's how to navigate this transit and discover a richer, more fulfilling form of luxury:
From Flash to Substance:
Heirlooms over trinkets: Invest in quality pieces built to last, crafted with ethical practices, and designed to become treasured family heirlooms. Think handcrafted furniture, well-made clothing, or art passed down through generations.
Experiences that resonate: Prioritize adventures and journeys that leave a lasting mark on your soul, not just your Instagram feed. Think learning a new skill, volunteering your time, or immersing yourself in a different culture.
Sustainable indulgence: Pamper yourself with products and services that reflect your values, like organic spa treatments, ethically sourced clothing, or supporting local artisans. Conscious indulgence feels better and lasts longer.
Investing in Your World:
Knowledge is the ultimate luxury: Invest in personal and professional development. Master a new skill, pursue further education, or attend insightful workshops that enrich your mind and expand your horizons.
Building a legacy, not an empire: Think beyond accumulating material possessions. Focus on creating a life filled with meaningful relationships, strong support networks, and positive contributions to your community.
Time, the most precious treasure: Prioritize experiences that create lasting memories and strengthen bonds. Spend quality time with loved ones, explore hidden corners of the world, or simply savor the quiet moments of life.
Beyond the Material:
Curate, don't accumulate: Surround yourself with objects that hold personal meaning, evoke inspiration, and bring you joy. Let go of clutter and embrace minimalism, creating a space that reflects your values and enhances your well-being.
Master the art of slow living: Appreciate the finer things in life, savor each moment, and resist the urge to rush through experiences. Slow living allows you to fully immerse yourself in the present and truly embrace the luxury of time.
Gratitude is the golden thread: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for all the blessings in your life, big and small. Appreciation enhances the value of your experiences and helps you find joy in the ordinary.
Remember, under Venus in Capricorn, luxury is not about flaunting or chasing fleeting trends. It's about investing in things that bring lasting value, creating experiences that nourish your soul, and nurturing a life filled with substance and meaning. By cultivating this mindful approach to indulgence, you'll discover a richer, more fulfilling form of luxury that transcends the material and leaves a lasting legacy of joy and fulfillment.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, consider decluttering your life and donating possessions you no longer need. Clearing space for the truly meaningful makes room for experiences and treasures that enrich your life in ways that last.
So, embrace the shift towards meaningful indulgence, invest in experiences that resonate, and surround yourself with things that bring lasting joy. As Venus shines in Capricorn, discover a whole new level of luxury, one that nourishes your soul, enriches your world, and leaves a trail of timeless beauty in its wake.

Building trust brick by brick: Actions speak louder than words. Demonstrate consistency, reliability, and unwavering support. Trust, like strong foundations, takes time and effort to build.
Love with Substance:
Partners in ambition: Seek someone who inspires you to be your best self and supports your professional and personal aspirations. Think power couples who build empires together, not sidekicks holding handbags.
Mutual respect and admiration: Appreciate each other's strengths, talents, and individual journeys. A successful partnership is not about competition but about celebrating each other's successes.
Open communication, built on honesty: Maintain clear and honest communication, even when challenging conversations arise. Trustworthy communication builds a foundation for navigating life's inevitable ups and downs together.
Beyond the Honeymoon Phase:
Commitment built on shared dreams: True commitment comes from a shared vision for the future, not just temporary infatuation. Discuss long-term goals, create shared plans, and build a life together brick by well-placed brick.
Weathering storms as a team: Life throws curveballs. Look for a partner who stands by you, offers unwavering support, and celebrates your victories just as readily as they comfort you in times of adversity.
Nurturing the flame, not just fanning it: Long-term love requires effort. Continuously invest in your relationship, prioritize quality time, and keep the romance alive with thoughtful gestures and shared experiences.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, focus on personal growth and building a fulfilling life for yourself. When you radiate stability, self-sufficiency, and clear goals, you attract partners who seek the same qualities in a relationship.

Acknowledge the elephant in the room: Don't shy away from confronting your debt. Face the numbers head-on, understand your current financial situation, and create a clear picture of the mountain you need to climb.
Prioritize ruthless efficiency: Not all debts are created equal. Focus on tackling high-interest loans first, where even small payments can make a significant dent. Develop a repayment strategy that takes advantage of compounding interest and minimizes overall costs.
Renegotiate with strength and strategy: Don't be afraid to renegotiate loan terms for better rates or repayment schedules. Arm yourself with market research and negotiation skills, and approach your creditors with confidence and clarity.
Budgeting: Your Weapon of Choice:
Track every penny: Implement a detailed budget that tracks your income and expenses meticulously. Every latte and Netflix subscription matters when you're battling debt.
Slash the non-essentials: Identify areas where you can cut back on spending. Be ruthless! Are you subscribed to services you never use? Can you cook more meals at home? Every small sacrifice adds up.
Embrace delayed gratification: Learn to live within your means, even if it means saying no to some immediate desires. Prioritize debt reduction over instant gratification, knowing that financial freedom awaits on the other side.
Building a Wall of Financial Security:
Automate your progress: Set up automatic bill payments and debt repayments to avoid missed payments and late fees. Discipline your finances, make saving and debt reduction a seamless part of your routine.
Celebrate milestones, not just the finish line: Acknowledge your progress along the way. Every debt paid off is a victory. Reward yourself for small milestones, keeping yourself motivated and reminding yourself of the amazing journey you're on.
Invest in your future self: As you free yourself from debt, start building an emergency fund and invest in your long-term financial goals. Remember, financial security is not just about eliminating debt, it's about building a stable and prosperous future.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, consider seeking financial counseling or debt management services if needed. Professional guidance can help you create a personalized debt repayment plan, negotiate with creditors, and stay on track towards financial freedom.
Remember, under Venus in Capricorn, tackling debt is not a punishment, it's an act of self-love and empowerment. Support values with your wallet: Align your spending with your ethical and environmental values. Choose sustainable brands, support local businesses, and invest in products that reflect your commitment to a better future.
Building Financial Muscles:
Budgeting is your roadmap: Create and stick to a realistic budget that tracks your income and expenses meticulously. Allocate funds efficiently, prioritize your needs, and leave little room for impulsive spending.
Embrace delayed gratification: Learn to wait and plan for what you desire. Saving for larger purchases builds discipline, allows you to gather information, and prevents the pitfalls of rushed decisions.
Track, analyze, and adapt: Monitor your spending patterns, identify areas for improvement, and adjust your budget as needed. Be flexible and learn from your financial journey, constantly working towards smarter spending habits.
Bonus Tip: During this transit, consider implementing a "cooling off period" before making significant purchases. Take time to research, compare options, and sleep on it before committing. This simple delay can save you from impulsive decisions and ensure your investments align with your long-term goals.
Remember, under Venus in Capricorn, strategic spending is not about deprivation, it's about conscious choices. Every purchase becomes a building block towards a life you love, a life filled with well-being, financial security, and experiences that resonate with your values. how do you write so many fics for one ship? i respect your dedication so much, but for me, i just can't think of that many ideas :( do you have a prompt list or something you use?
ohh anon that's such a good question!! and i completely relate, actually. after i'd written my first 30k for renjing i thought i was done. then i thought i was done again at 45k, then 60k, then 100k, then 250k, and i still kind of feel like i'm done now. but magically, i've still kept writing 🤣 don't limit yourself... as long as you keep thinking about them and sharing with others, the ideas will keep coming 🙏
as for concrete pieces of advice... the first i can give you is just not to worry about writing the same thing! i've written almost a dozen stabbing related fics now... if you find an idea you like, you don't have to let go of it after you write it once. you still like it, don't you!! when i get a craving for the same thing i sometimes reread my fics, but sometimes i'm like. well, that was good, but i kind of want a different flavor of this cake now. so i'll write it again and just add a different side ingredient. switch the pov. make it a modern au. change it from 'forced to do it' to 'did it of own volition but regretted it'. change it from 'this person found him' to 'that person found him'. or just injure a different part of the body 😌 i'm always interested in something, and so there are a million ways to engage with that thing again and again!
as for new ideas... the absolute best advice i can give you is to engage with other people's works!! read fics. read headcanons. read unfinished fics. read fics that aren't even about your ship, and then make them about your ship. make friends with an author and get in their dms and absorb their ideas and then give them your own spin!! half of my ideas and spontaneous fic inspirations come from either talking to my friends or reading other people's fics. if you read a fic of mine that ended tragically and you want to give it a happy ending? give it a happy ending!!! if you read a crack fic and thought it could be a little more angsty? add the angst into it!!! it's free real estate... we're here to share and get excited together and be inspired by each other. sometimes i even read jing yuan fics that aren't renjing and then i take the premise and make it renjing* :33
*i awkwardly feel like i can't post these fics, not because it's not allowed but because i am usually too shy to ask the author and list them as inspiration, but i can still have fun writing and so can you.
and thirdly... never be afraid to go back through your own fics 🙏 all the time i leave drabbles or concepts unfinished and then i go back and add a sentence to them every month or i reread them and then i get a new related or even unrelated idea... your brain is precious. believe in it!!! and even if you don't have ideas right now, just give it time. look out in the real world. watch a random movie and think about a crossover. and even if you really really can't think of anything to write... don't beat yourself up about it. you're still valued just as you are. as long as you're having fun 🥰
#🌃#i wouldn't say i NEVER use prompt lists but i'm not super good at them SJFKSJFKDJSFJD#i get all completionist and then i annoy myself about it 🤣#they can definitely be useful though!! i have friends who like 'em#if i've ever done a ship week or anything like that i most certainly didn't write it off the prompts#i just found fics i'd already written that fit the bill 🤣
