he is playing unfair . totally unfair , because she didn't want to fold after the fiasco earlier . . . but he makes it awfully difficult to resist . the gesture look innocent enough . she guess . even if she can feel the heat rising in her cheek and the way her heart thud a little harder in her chest . eyes locked with his and it feels impossible to look away . feels impossible to care about anything else in the room at all . even if she knows it's buzzing with life . people dancing , there is music and drinks shared and her parents are here , somewhere . not that they would mind it being him giving her attention , but she didn't want to embarass them . and staring like this , might be frowned upon . swallow dryly as he takes her hand , feels small in his . he leans down and lips brush against the back of her hand , lingering longer than any gentleman would . can't say she mind . can say she mind a great deal . he's confusing & she can't keep up . tongue trail across lips , parting while trying to make her brain work again : at least enough to form a sentence . but right now , she feels a little lost in his eyes and the warmth of his hand and anything else just feels too difficult .
