Another Nuzi rant. Don't mind me

Spoilers, duh

Since I've already done a quick character study/nuzi rant from N's side. Here's one from Uzi's side!

This is probably gonna be just me repeating things people have already said... again. But I love Uzi. (Just like every other character in Murder Drones, honestly.) But Liam did a wonderful job of making an angsty, emo girl, borderline maniac that we know as Uzi. Her character, to me at least, never became the annoying overdramatized and overused stereotype that follows her style. She has real reasons for being the way she is.

A loner, whose dad loves nothing but doors. School is not different, as her classmates pretty much forget about her existence on a day to day basis. No one to talk to, no one to connect with, gives her the angsty side that I absolutely adore. Because underneath all of that toughness is just a lonely little drone who was left by herself since early age. But guess who comes in and busts down those walls (literally and figuratively)?

Our good boi N! Despite their rough start, N never really gave Uzi a reason not to trust him. Their chance encounter, and a broken sensor, allowed them to have the talk that might have never happened. Their beginning might have been a lucky accident, but for the rest of the season, we can see how both sides had to work to make well... Nuzi work!

For Uzi, asking for help is like asking for a death sentence probably. After being on her own for so long, she doesn't expect anyone to help. With that information in mind, the first time she let's that wall crumble was episode 2, Heartbeat.

"Uzi, shoot! Or give it to me!"

Granted, we all know that was not our N. But in that moment, when Uzi was in an enough distressed state, she sought help in N. We all know how that ended, though. Absolute Solver took advantage of that and almost killed her, before N once again sweeped in to save her. The one and only notorious Nuzi misunderstanding was, for better or for worse, cleared up pretty quickly. Seeing as glitchproduction only has so much money at their disposal, they can't really drag this ordeal out. Personally, I'm glad that it didn't. The long drama that is just a misunderstanding after misunderstanding gets quite tedious to follow.

So, moving forward in The Promening, Uzi once again seeks out N when she's in distress. When she sees and hears about what Doll and Lizzy were gonna do, she books it to the only person she knows can help her.

N! Now don't get me wrong. Uzi, by herself is plenty strong. She's shown off her fighting and capabilities, and would have probably been able to take V on. She's taken J down before, aaaand Uzi does technically also take V down in Cabin Fever. But she still went out of her way to go find N. So they could work together and get this mess sorted out.

And then there's this. God I love Cabin Fever, and surprisingly no, not for the Falling.... for you? scene. No, I loved the entire Uzi going on murder spree because she can! The music was such a banger too. But back to Uzi. She recognizes V and briefly snaps back to her usual self. Curious isn't it? N and Uzi both tried reaching out to V, but because V is so untrusting (and we all understand why from ep 5, Home). Here Uzi tried to ask V for help... in form of N.

I find it interesting how ever since Uzi met N and V, she's been getting better at asking for help. Sure, V shot her down because, once again, V was scared. Uzi was turning into the monster that only Cyn has been capable of creating. This soon leads to N yeeting Uzi into the f*cking stratosphere and the two have a chat.

I love how the animators included Uzi hiding behind her bat wings.

Her metaphorical walls were back up. And guess who broke them yet again.

The bestest boi N! And ever since this moment, N and Uzi are way more open.

Episode 5 was taking place in N's memories. But episode 6 is where their trust and care shines. Yeah, sure, there was the hand holding. And it was a big moment! But I enjoyed the little things more. Uzi checking in on N, nodding at his little comments and jokes.

Summary: I love Nuzi. Send help they're on my mind 24/7.

Stereotypical teenager artistic loner Virgil is great but y'know he's missing? What he's always missing in stories?

A murder of crows!

Remus gets a date with the quiet emo at school. Score! He's ecstatic. They have a date. They have a few dates. They go over to Virgil's house one weekend. Remus makes sex jokes because it's Remus. Virgil laughs but doesn't confirm or deny.

They walk up to Virgil's yard. Pretty normal, right? No! Remus gets dive-bombed by a crow.

"oh shit, you need an offering, wait here."

Remus is left on the sidewalk in front of Virgil's home as he rushes inside. Remus can't step on the lawn or he gets dive-bombed by a crow. He is fascinated.

Virgil runs back out (noticably not bothered by the crows) and he gives Remus... blueberries?

To say that Remus falls in love very quickly as Virgil apologizes and explains he befriended the crows ages ago and now they follow him everywhere (and Remus later learns that they do follow him everywhere) and Virgil teaches him to give blueberry offerings until he's allowed in... Remus falls in love quick. He falls in love to the point he forgets about the jokes he made about getting laid that night.

Also we need more "Virgil respectfully hanging out in a cemetery" because that HC rocks too and he gives me the vibes. Quiet little not-on-top-of-a-grave corner of the cemetery? So alt, he'd love it. Virgil with his little crow friends in a cemetery. He names one Poe but he never remembers who is who so they're all Poe. Like Edgar Allen Poe. Quoth the Raven nevermore.

Remus' and Virgil's wedding cake topper is a crow years later.

Anyway crows and cemeteries and cake toppers.

The fact that Ree falls even harder from seeing how caring and gentle Vee is with the Crows to the point where they trust and befriend him is S O fucking cute!!! My biggest gripe with Prime so far is it's narrative insisting that Sonic is somehow a person who took his friends for granted and that he needs to go on some kind of self-discovering journey because of it, despite nothing Sonic has really done so far actually reflecting it. The catalyst for the show happening in the first place is Sonic getting pissed at Eggman shit talking Tails; doesn't seem like someone who took his friends for granted. Hell, if anything, Sonic won't shut the hell about the Powar of Friendship. The show's synopsis made it sound like he's his Fleetway counterpart, when at worst he's just kinda dumb because there wouldn't be a conflict otherwise, and the so-called bad selfish things he's done are honest to God mistakes and things no one could have predicted.

This in turn has the unintended effect of not only making Sonic's friends from his primary universe look like ones who hold him to standards that are impossible to meet, but the alternate dimension versions of them too. Especially Nine Tails, who in my personal opinion, has been kind of insufferable so far. Even with taking his differing background into consideration, at best he comes off as someone with the biggest stick jammed up his ass, and at worst he just seems like one of those try-hard whiny Punk-Emo kids who think they're being edgy and non-conformist. He just seems like someone using the two people in the past who made fun of his birth defect as an excuse to be as abrasive and stand-offish as possible to everyone, even when someone hasn't given him an actual reason to. I also don't like the implication that without Sonic in their lives, they either end up like Nine Tails, you just never get anything done, or you're just too dumb to function.

Wouldn't have a problem with all of this if they weren't insisting that this is totally canon to the main game one, instead of just being it's own thing like every other Sonic adaptation in the past has been, despite there already being several things that contradict the game canon beyond just matters concerning characterization.

Didn't a similar thing happen with Rise of Lyric? I remember that most of the descriptions of the game pre-release mentioned that Boom Sonic was a loner who'd have to learn about the Super Power of Teamwork. Game comes out, and uhhh he's actually pretty chill with his friends, a few cutscenes notwithstanding.

I don't know which is worse: thinking that Sonic needs to learn how to accept his friends, or not even delivering on your premise. Both are bad writing :V except that everyone and their mother gleefully shat on Boom and everything related to it, but Prime has a Sonic that Is Just Like Me Fr Fr (And Is Also Gay For Shadow), so it's all A-okay :^)

Prime to me honestly feels like a Boom that takes itself seriously. Boom (the show, I mean) had no pretenses: like it or not, it knew that it was nothing more than a funny sitcom featuring AU versions of Sonic & co. So I don't mind that Sonic was grumpier, or that Knuckles was basically a furry Kronk, or that Eggman had a crush on Sonic was little more than a manchild with mommy issues. But if you show not only want to have a more serious storyline with dimension hopping and protagonists screwing up and having to live with the consequences, but you even want to be considered canon... well, I expect more.

BTS as... Rockers

Ngl, I panicked a little when I checked on the masterlist because an older post about BTS as rock band members was labelled as this title and I’d already written this one for like 3 members already. There’s various genres I mention, some of which are also metal and pop but I thought a simple general title would be best here.

Anyways, my second post coming back recently. Hope you enjoy.

and loves writing his own lyrics based on his current favourites

It’s like a form of literature to him

Accidentally had the same music tastes as that weird geography teacher in school

Probably has a pet named after a member of a power / symphonic metal band

sorry I’m a bit of a Nightwish nerd and now I can just imagine him calling for his dog “Floor!” and everyone getting confused because they think he’s just shouting at the ground

this is the kind of genre he likes the most other than classic rock; that’s where the most literature references are. It’s poetry about poetry

Has a journal of art and lyrics quotes for when he’s super into a song

Could be mistaken for a geek in school 

because to a juvenile ear, his taste in music might be challenging to listen to

like no one else had the patience aged 12 to listen to a 9 minute song or an instrumental track

and then even at 15/16, how many people your age would listen to Dark Side Of The Moon?

Guess he would say music is all about sitting back and listening and taking it in

Would love to be a songwriter for the right kind of singer

unfortunately though, he’s a bit of a loner

likes his own company too much

it’s probably the solitude that motivates him to write 

too many more friends than he already has would be too much of a distraction

he also loves showing up to 60s nights to flaunt the flower power

or 80s nights in a fun wig as some member of a hair metal band

all the styles are very fun

but on a daily basis, he’s basically dresses like a teddy boy

tight trousers with white socks peaking out

jacket - sometimes a suit jacket, sometimes denim

as you can imagine, when a lot of this stuff comes back in fashion...

“Well, I did it first...”

you know, in this era he means he did it first

Loves a good finger clicker song

Once considered doing a tribute act around pubs and clubs

but he couldn’t decide who he wanted to be

Probably should take a role in some live production of Grease

he’s seen it enough times

and he can sing

He reckons he could never do theatre for long though

his fantasies are with playing instruments to perform

talented keyboard player

starting to get the hang of guitar too

but he does get carried away whilst trying to learn guitar

because he wants to add on all the cool moves NOW

He’s got some bangers he created on the keyboard though

he didn’t really intend to create original songs

it just happened one day after a break up

and he listened to Heartbreak Hotel

too many times

he just sat at his keyboard

and made something that really felt special

and then the day after that, he made a more upbeat song

and the week after that, he has 4 full songs in total

Open mic nights become something he enjoys

an electronic element to rock or metal always makes it more interesting to him

cried for half a day at the news of Chester no longer being with us

Likes a bit of new wave, synthpop, all that

emo songs just help you through the bad times okay

Can equally enjoy a dub festival as much as a rock concert

some people think his taste is actually naff

but then they realise he also listens to the likes Foo Fighters or Sum 41

Plays like the same 30 songs on repeat

but his collection has so much more

He has some rock and blues for the road trip

he’s got your 70s singalongs for the party

Was briefly a DJ at a rock bar

got fired for not playing enough popular songs in his set

A somewhat gothic sense of style

but not overwhelmingly gothic

He likes bandannas and black clothes

not always in black clothes though

sometimes the merch he wants just isn’t available in black

but no worries

as long as he can happily flaunt the music that makes him who he is

Can listen to any rock genre

give him something and he probably already loves it

So yeah, the band members are pretty cool and all that

but what Hoseok has more interest in the backstage roles

he’d love to manage a rock band

be a tour manager

guitar tech

Much knowledge is stored in that brain of his

and he wants to put it to good use

He starts out as a promoter and organiser for the rock bar in town

which he eventually lives above 

His events are ace

he can pick out fresh talent that everyone on that scene can enjoy

His showcase nights are the place to be

everyone can agree, he’s got amazing taste

no one can disagree with him

He’s a one man show and still managed to pull it off

he’s the promoter, the sound guy, the tech on all the instruments

way more professional than most other local music events

He takes pride in his work

did I mention he’s so good, it becomes a full time job?

As time goes by, he listens to less and less older music

but that’s okay

he’s happy with the time it takes to listen to all the up and coming bands

in the moment is where you should live

and he can still appreciate a band’s influences should they initiate conversation

“man, this dude really knows his stuff”

“will you manage our next tour?”

“can you do sound at our next gig? our guy’s rubbish”

and that one is like right in front of their current sound guy

The future is bright for Hoseok

his love for rock music could really earn him a solid living

Some say he’s a bit of a poser in his leather jacket

but he really does love his rock music

Sometimes a bit behind on modern rock bands or releases

Low key wishes he was born in the 50s / 60s 

just so he could live in his favourite eras

his heart really lies with the classics

60s, 70s, 80s.

90s at a push

not the later 90s where grunge bands did pop

actually any movie made in that time makes him cringe

like he’s all up for good clean fun

but christ it’s like they were trying to go back to the 50s or something

not everything is ‘swell’ you know

Don’t get him wrong though

he does also like some 50s music

He may or may not have spent that one time acting like Elvis in the mirror

it really hyped him up before a night out though

it may or may not have become a thing before going out in the evenings to boost his confidence

His all time favourite bands have to be The Rolling Stones and AC/DC

and no, he couldn’t pick between the two, ever

Doesn’t really have a desire to be in a band

but sort of accidentally picks up the bass to help out a mate in a band

and sort of accidentally becomes a permanent member

It’s just a cover band

but it’s so much fun

Sometimes, you can have a really bad day

and then listening to 23 people singing “I Love Rock n Roll”

kind of lifts your mood

“Play Wonderwall!”

gets a bit annoying to him

kind of wants to hit that one guy around the head with his bass

but he holds back

Because being aggressive wouldn’t be very rock of him

and whilst he does like punk music

he’s definitely not a punk

Screw all that political rubbish

music should be to enjoy yourself with

stop worrying about the world for one minute and

let’s sing about whiskey and cigarettes and just living life

He tries to understand that not everyone will listen what the music he likes

Loves vinyl

definitely collects vinyls

Likes to shop at vintage stores to fulfil his obscure taste

People are like “you paid £60 just for that?”

but to Tae, it’s worth every penny

He likes the classics too

he can sing along in a rock bar to all the well known tunes

old or modern

and there may be loads in his vinyl collection barely anyone recognises

but there’s some more familiar faces too

there’s The Beatles, Guns n’ Roses, Foo Fighters, anything like that

it’s just only like 20% of his huge collection

Whilst his style is inspired by those he idolises...

he can never copy them

that would be an insult to them and his originality

Plays guitar and writes songs

never anything soppy though

actually fairly hesitant to pick up an acoustic guitar

always plays electric

and the songs he makes are about having a good time, life experiences

but not about love

He can listen to a couple of cheesy tracks

he just won’t make any

I feel like rocker V loves anything that feels slightly random

probably make his own secret songs that sound silly to others

Probably has a band that never gigs

it’s him singing and playing guitar

and a bassist and drummer that aren’t really sure why they’re here

but they kind of like the unique stuff he does

and the band is almost purposely bad

Lives for festivals

like when he goes to work, that is what he is earning money for

well, that and bills and food

like when that one Australian band are finally coming to his country

help me I’m really sad because this is me and The Decline were supposed to be coming to the UK and then this pandemic happened and now I might never see them criii

Has a playlist for every aspect of life

every feeling, every colour, every occasion

tries every instrument you could find in a typical rock band

loves the drums

gets stuck on guitar though in his first band

well, he was just desperate to go gigging

he left after a year and a bit though

got boring

forms his own band instead around him being on the drums

Lives for this band

it’s like a rock band but with political lyrics

and they can perform at most events

they just fit any bill

gigs are booked almost every weekend

road trip with the lads

they travel like 50 miles just to be paid in beer only

Dreams of big time collaborations

that will probably never happen and he knows that

but it’s nice to dream, right?

puts on his own gigs a few years down the line

of course his own band are always on the bill

everyone thinks his gigs are a hoot

He even manages to book some lesser known punk bands 

but they are a massive deal to him

“God, I love live music!”

“Do you always wear a black shirt guk?”

“Hey, I’m a drummer! It’s hard work; a lot of sweat involved... I’m sure no one wants to see my wet pits whilst trying to enjoy the show”

and then that person wishes they never asked...

but he’s right

he knows that a good band is all about the hard graft and work

and he is always so thankful for the great rock bands that influence him

he’s in gryffindor. the only gryffindor in a family of slytherins since his mom, dad, and eventually alex are slytherins lmao

he’s very close to mom vega, so when he does disappear shes not the same after that 

he’s emo. ajdf which is a joke but hes very in touch with his feelings. sensitive. a soft boy. writes a lot of angsty poems probably.  

which brings me to my next point he spends a lot of his time writing. he keeps a diary. he writes poems and stories too. romance is one of his fav genres. hes a clown just like alex. 

v shy and a loner. prob got picked on.  :(  ig he does have friends later tho bc canon jacob has duncan and olivia. so yea. 

him and alex were v close. alex looked up to him bc jacob was v smart and a talented wizard and she wanted to be just like him! but once he started getting involved with the vaults he starts drifting away. alex noticed him distancing himself and its one of the last things she remembers which is a source of many hurt feelings on her end 

when him and alex reunite she’s happy but like . also mad. she’s v passive aggressive bc she petty.

and idk what else bc i dont know exactly what happens with jacob in the game and i wanna know what i will adapt into my jacob LMAO

o one more thing that i know is that i need to draw him more. i neglect him lmao but if u read this thank u.

some facts about Isaac:

looks scarier than he is, hopefully

there’s a fine line between finding him v charming and thinking he’ll murder you in his sleep

spends most of his days cooped up in his art room, listening to music and creating pieces

School sucks

A/N: I know, I know I should do part 5 of "your ghost roommate". I just don't know how to do it. But I WILL make it, I swear.

Virgil is in the bus home from school. His headphones on and his bag on the other sit. A clear signal.

'Fuck of! I want to be alone!'

Yes, yes, the emo loner is alone in the bus and doesn't want to be bothered. Not completely true. He is one of the more popular kids in school. How come he is one of the popular kids? Well,... First of; he does not only out sass Demion almost all the time (what saves a lot of students there asses) but also out smarts Logan Blue (the smartest guy in the school!) Secondly; he is Patton Kindly's boyfriend. Patton has so many friends, it is a wonder he can keep track of them all. That he was able to see something like this in Virgil was a surprise. But everyone soon knew that both would physically fight you if something is to happened to the other. Lastly; Virgil is the only one to shut up Roman Queenz! Not even the teachers are in the capability of keeping him quiet. What had the following had, that the teachers sited, paired and put Virgil in the same classes as Roman. Just so Roman keeps quiet.

Said student took Virgil's school bag from the sit and shoved the bag into the emo's arm's and as soon as he was sat, he started ranting about something that happened in theater class. When the theater kid starts ranting about theater, no one can stop him. Not even Virgil and normally he doesn't. Roman is like a little child when he talks about things he love. It is like telling a child that there dreams are nothing. You don't do that. But today Virgil didn't even had the energy to ignore him and not giving the theater idiot attention was a death wish on itself.

"Yes, yes you looove theater I get it but if you wanna sit here, then shut up. If not then move your royal pain in the ass and annoy someone else. Got it?" With that he turned back to the window and for good measure shoved his bag back into Roman's arm's.

Roman looked shocked at Virgil's back. Yes, Virgil was the one to shut his rants sometimes even just with one word but the other always made sure not to be personal or offensive. That on the other hand stung.

'Royal pain in the ass'

The emo normally is only this mean with Demion and that only when the asshole crossed the line. For Virgil that takes a lot until someone crosses his line. Roman did it ones and that was when they weren't friends yet. Roman was scared for a hole week.

He had heard that Virgil and Demion had a fight again this day and even had to go to the principal. Demion even became that aggressive that he tried to hurt Virgil physically. That would at least explain why Virgil is now like this. When Roman took a closer look at the emo, he also noticed that the other was exhausted and that more than he normally was.

Moving the bag into his right hand and using his left hand to move his hair out of the way. Roman used that movement to look over his shoulder. Being in front of the bus and behind the bus driver means that Virgil can hide from the others with ease. His height helped with that too and Roman also hided him a bit with his body now. So he moved his left hand behind the emo's head and tapped the others left shoulder, waiting for the emo to diside the next move.

Noticing that he was tapped, he first thought it was someone from the back but when there was no one he knew it was Roman. Looking over to the theater idiot, Roman had the same reassuring smile as Patton whenever he had a bad fight with Demion. The cheerful teen would cuddle with Virgil and let him stay at his place for the rest of the day. Not that something was wrong with his own family but sometime they where a bit too much. And of course this week of all weeks, Patton had to be sick of all the weeks he could have picked. The week where Demion was back in school after his suspension. What he probably will get right away again after this stund today.

He was too tired and exhausted to question Roman and just moved his head onto the theater kids left shoulder. Crossing his arm's in the act as well. He also closed his eyes, a little nap wouldn't hurt. He did argue with Roman a lot but it is all in good fun. Roman is loyal and trustworthy and will always protect his friends. So he could trust that Roman would wake him up at his stop.

As soon as Roman felt the weight of Virgil's head on his shoulder, moved he his arm around the emo in a safe and warm side hug. Petting his hair and wow, the emo's hair is so soft! He understands now why Patton loves to move his hands through the emo's hair. He has to ask Virgil sometime what hair products he is using.

"How about I bring you to Patton?" Roman knew that the emo needed Patton right now. Being hugged by him is different then being hugged by Patton. Virgil just let out a sigh and nodded. "Okay then." With a soft voice let Roman Virgil fall asleep for the rest of the bus ride. Before Virgil fell asleep completely Roman heard the emo murmured a "..School sucks..."

Being yourself

I’m going to write about being yourself and why it is hard to yourself in this world. 

Media gives us information all the time. It gives certain type of information which is truly just a piece of what all this world of ours contains. There are stereotypes about genders, trends that you have to follow to be socially accepted person or just become popular. If you are different from people around you. For example if everyone in your school like ice hockey and you like soccer and you don’t like ice hockey at all. You are already different from them. It’s harder for you to make friends if there are no any other common interests between you and those people. Since humans are pack animals, most of them end up pretending just be socially accepted and not leaft outside of the group. That’s just how the society works, if again they are openly different, in some communities they get bullied and end up mentally or even physically hurt depending on how hard the bullying is. It is one of unsaid rules to not be different because most people are cowards. They have weak mind, emotions take control and they don’t dare to be themselves. Of course there are exceptions like myself. 

At first as a kid I was like other kids in my class til I was 12 years old. I had already been leaft outside of groups in my class and I didn’t know how to make friends with my classmates anymore. This happened already when I was 10-11 years old. I was often standing alone and doing something alone. I was different from them. I didn’t like same music as they did. Also I lived in different area and I was completely separated on my free time. At school I was only let play with them because our class’ teacher was very strict and didn’t accept any type of bullying in our class. However in 6th grade I became depressed shortly. I started change. I wore a lot black, I got into Visual-kei, kpop and anime. I started karate and I became sort of goth and emo mix. Maybe more of emo. In end of semester I didn’t have any friend from my class. I didn’t even know whose name should I write on paper that was a wish list about who to put into same class to junior high. Well, I was put on same class with one girl who often hanged out with me. I was actually happy that she came to same class as I did. My changing continued in junior high. I became even more V-kei influenced even though I wasn’t able to create those amazing fashion looks yet. I tried but it was too hard at that time. My parents didn’t support me with it, I know that they thought that it was just a phase, but for me... It changed my life. During those 3 years I understood what kind of person I was, not completely but I started to understand slowly. However I didn’t accept it. I was sad that I had become a loner in end of the school and when I went to upper secondary school I promised that I would become normal. I never did. I didn’t get any new friend in the new school. Of course I got along with people as always, but I didn’t really get any new long term friends. I still have only one friend who has been my friend a really long time. Thats because we are both loners. We are different from other people. I’m still happy to be friends with him. Most of my other friends are from around the internet and from abroad. I believe that they are my friends because they don’t got to deal with me as daily basis and also they don’t know me as well as the friend  from school. Well, I am quite different case anyways so that’s why I am not the best example of person who dares to be himself. First of all I have never been very social person, I’m antisocial person, I observe people more than socially interact with them. However I am able to interact socially very well and make people enjoy my company. I can also make them not enjoy my company. It depends on the situation and person. Humans are individuals after all. 

Anyways what I want to tell you guys is that you gotta have guts to be yourself. You shouldn’t be afraid of what other people think about and be depended on their opinions. Just be yourself. You can find true friends for yourselves and enjoy your life much more freely when you do not lie to yourselves. I have accepted myself the way I am and trust me it wasn’t easy at all. Now I know what I want to do and what I am interested in. What I like to do. It is what keeps me alive even though I’m alone for most of the time and don’t have any close friends around me. I have learnt to enjoy of my life and also developing those traits that I like in myself. For example fashion, creativity, intelligence, sport... etc. The truth is that no one is going to stay with you til the day you die. You have to be independed and trust in yourself only because that’s the only person you can trust, that’s also the person with who you are going to be spending your life with so as cliche as it is, love yourself.
