Progress Report - 4/29/24

hello and happy birthday!

...is how this was going to start when I intended to post it this past Friday. But I spent my birthday as a side character in the hit 1996 movie Twister. By which I mean there was a really big tornadoful storm here, the likes of which I've never seen before. It's never a fun time when the words "historic" and "record-breaking" are involved.

But anyway! My birthday was a few days ago, and to celebrate I have a slightly belated gift for all of you!

A release date

That's right, we're back in business here in Speakerland 😁 I'm so relieved to finally return to some semblance of normalcy, and I'm very hopeful that I'll be able to get back to doing regular monthly updates again.

As for this one, the update will be going up on Patreon TONIGHT! I'll be uploading that momentarily, in fact. That means that, barring any strange game-breaking bugs or overly tangled code, the update will be out for public release on Tuesday, May 7th!

I just want to thank everyone one more time for your patience, and for all the messages of support 💙 it really does mean the world to me.

I think that's it for this time! I hope you all have a fantastic week with only mild-to-moderate tornadoes, and I'll see you all next week! 💙💙🌪️💙

#speaker game #progress update #y'all don't know how happy I am to type the words 'release date'#also for the record there were a DOZEN tornadoes on the ground in or around my city. half of them were EF-3 or bigger #but from what I've heard there were no deaths or serious injuries #my family is all fine :) my cats hated being in the basement and my daughter had to stay 2 hours late at school (everyone did)--#--until the storm passed and it was safe for all the kids to go home. but we're very lucky that was the worst of it

What’s the point of scheduling a delivery for later if you’re going to make it and deliver it now???????

#I didn’t want my food now #I wanted it for later for when I would be home to eat it #it sat on my porch for over an hour #honestly would’ve rather someone stole it and eat it than for it to sit there and become unsafe to eat #had to throw it away #there goes the $40 dinner that was supposed to be a treat #honestly so annoyed and I know if I do a customer complaint nothing is gonna come of it #just because it’s below freezing here it doesn’t make food safe to eat after it’s sat outside in the elements for over an hour #I’m just done #gonna just skip dinner and go to bed I think #maybe one of the fics I’ve been following will have updated and I can just read that for dinner #i’m tired yall #and I’m over it #fuck being broke #fuck me for trying to treat myself when I have a bit spare cash #once I can buy a car I’m def switching to a job that pays better since I’ll have consistent transportation instead of having to walk #jake k’s personals #feel free to block prev tag if you don’t want to hear about my personal life

#little life update since its been a while !#not much to say except ive been with my bf for four months now and even though it sounds like very little time it feels like a lifetime tbh #and we are very happy and i am very much in love with him 💖 hes the most beautiful handsomest kindest loveliest being on this earth and i #Love love him <33333 #he just feels like home. every time im withh him everything is okay #it feels like all my problems are just fading away… and when we are together at night i get so sleepy lmao i fell asleep on him a few times #now but its okay its a sign that i feel completely safe and comfortable with him 🥺 its nice to know my subconscious loves him too #in a week we are going on vacation to tuscany together i cant wait!!!

So far my favorite part of the new update is Barnaby's conversation with Home. So so cute!!

I'm no theorist nor am I good at finding secrets, even the ones that could be sitting right under my nose, but based off of what I've managed to find on my own so far this update is fantastic!!

But as much as I've been a Home advocate up to this point, I gotta admit that he has his moment/s of being sketchy, so I'm prepared to admit to being wrong if it turns out home isn't the sweetheart I thought he was.

Small Progress Update

Summer Reading has started at my job and that means more hours and more pay but less writing until the end of August. This means, that my initial plan to power through the next update and post it at the end of summer has quickly fallen through. I have to put TLH on a mini-hiatus until the end of summer and hopefully produce an update before the year is done.

HOWEVER that does NOT mean that I won't be working on it. I just won't be making strides or hitting my goals as soon as I'd hoped.

I hope you all can forgive me for how long it takes me to update TLH -- I promise the update will be worth it (or, at least, I hope it will be). I'll still be hanging around and reblogging inspo stuff, just... not as often.
