Chapter 2 : Eevee

The Evolution Pokemon. A rare Pokémon that adapts to harsh environments by taking on different evolutionary forms. Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions.

The next day hit you hard.

And that was meant literally, as you were rudely awoken by a punch to the gut.

You groaned and rolled off the couch, curled up on yourself as you held your stomach. The rude awakening and the force you were hit with concluded that it was only one Pokemon…

“Zoroark…” You grumbled.

Said Illusion Pokemon was smiling, a mix of apologetic and smug. And you also realised that the rest of your team was out.

Despite the ceilings being quite tall, Aurorus still just barely fit in the apartment. Fletchinder was perched on the back of a chair, with Delphox sitting in that same chair, patiently waiting for you to get up. Linoone and Lopunny’s heads were peeking out from behind the couch you were asleep on, with Goomy on the floor, sliding around so he was nuzzling your face and dampening your cheeks.

Sylveon, however, was laying where he was last night, looking at you with an evil and prideful smirk.

“You let them all out, didn’t you?”

“Ve.” His grin grew bigger and you sighed, slowly getting up through the pain and rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.

“Okay, okay, I’m up…” You mumble, standing up. Your uniform was rumpled a bit from falling asleep in a weird position on the couch. 

Delphox got up from her chair and smoothed out the wrinkles in your uniform. Lopunny got up to help you too, but seemed to forget that she was behind the couch, and she bumped into it. The weight of her ears and being caught off guard from it sent her tumbling over the backrest and onto the actual couch.

“Looooo…” She groaned.

Your Mega Pokemon, everyone.

Delphox helped her up as you walked to the kitchen to see if there was anything you could find in here that could keep you all satiated for the morning. You managed to find some boxes of cereal but no milk, as the fridge obviously wasn’t working.

You had made everyone’s bowls before making your own and sitting at the table between Lopunny and Delphox. Zoroark was sitting across from you, Goomy was directly on the table, Fletchinder was on the backrest of the chair pecking away at his bowl while Sylveon, Lineoone and Aurorus ate on the floor nearby.

Today marks day 1 in this new world, devoid of Pokemon and all that you knew. It unsettled you, but with your Pokemon by your side, you were sure you’d make it through until you found a way back, but for now, today you were simply going on a walk through the city to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings.

You knew for a fact that Sylveon and the others would want to come along, but today you chose Linoone to stay out of his ball and follow you around, and while the others were upset at this decision, they understood why. Linoone was great with directions, so he would easily be able to guide you back to your temporary home if you ever got lost.

“Okay, dishes are cleaned and put away, food is put away…” You muttered to yourself as you double checked that everything was done. Lopuuny shook, getting the water on her drenched fur all over the others.

You chuckled at everyone’s reactions, especially Sylveon, who looked downright agitated at the bipedal Pokemon. “Everyone, return.” You recalled everyone except for Linoone before anyone could think about getting back at Lopunny.

You carefully left the apartment and walked down the hall to the stairs, letting Linoone sniff around to remember the scent of the building and apartment. His nose was scrunched up. “Linoone…” 

“Smells that bad, huh? Probably from the water damage.” You muttered. 

You both finally reached the stairs, where Linoone looked up at you with wide eyes. SIghing, you picked up Linoone under your arms like a ball before slowly going down the stairs, holding on to the railing for support. The stairs were winding, constantly making you turn, and you recalled the natural weakness of Linoone as you did.

The Linoone species can only move straight, having trouble with curved roads and turning without stopping, so Linoone would have been very frustrated going down these steps.

Eventually, you managed to make it to ground level, and you put Linoone, letting him run out of the apartment building, with you following behind him. “It’s adventure time, Linoone! Let's take a look around the city.”

Linoone nodded excitedly and pranced ahead of you, ready to see the sights. You trailed behind him, now taking a better look at the abandoned district. It seemed like any other part of the city if you imagine it bustling with people and bright lights, but water damage caused all of this.

“Li Linoone!” Linoone called out, rushing off ahead. Snapping out of your daze, you jog after him. Seeing him get excited over the new city made you smile.

Linoone was already ready for adventure, excitedly looking at everything he’s passed, uncaring of the odd stares he’d get from passersby.

“This city’s probably as big as Lumiose City, perhaps even bigger.” You mutter to yourself as you and Linoone stop to stare at a map. The winding roads and coloured lines for the train systems made absolutely no sense to you, as well as the language it was written in, so you had to go with your gut and trust Linoone to mark out the most important spots of this city.

Your little adventure had lasted almost the entire day, and Linoone was enamoured with the new city, which you had come to learn was known as Megapolis. It was one of the most futuristic cities in China, wherever this region is, and is also known for having a huge population of both humans and demons, which explains the many multicoloured, Pokemon-like people walking about and doing their daily activities.

You now sat at the park, calming down from the whole day of walking. Linoone had managed to run any which way, and while you did manage to mark important places to return to, Linoone went on a hunting trip for as much spare change as he could. And while the apartment you were in was filled with new-ish food, some was stale, it wouldn’t be enough for all of your Pokemon plus you.

Somehow, your trusty navigator had managed to scrounge up what 523 in what was apparently called yuan, and after doing some strained mental maths by looking at prices of different things you recognized, that had to be about 10,500 Pokedollars. How… Linoone managed to get all of this was a mystery to you, but you couldn’t complain with the situation you were currently in.

“Hey, how about we head back to the others? I’m sure they’re getting impatient.” You spoke to Linoone, however when you didn’t receive a response, you turned to where the Normal-type was.

Linoone was on the grass, staring intently at a patch of bushes. “What is it buddy?” You asked, which immediately got a growl out of him. Carefully, you approached the bushes and moved a bunch of leafy branches aside to get a good look, and you gasped at the sight.

how was old eevolves like?

It was written by an 11 year old. And it shows.

Shun had both Naruto and Avatar powers (he could bend all 4 elements and do Ninja Jutsu/control his chakra). And was a Mary Sue. I focused so much on Shun x May that it seemed like they were the main characters and everyone else was a side character. Eve’s dolls in ssec were in old Eevolves but Ruby owned them. Ofc, no June. Shun made them and they could talk because ofc they can. Sylveon wasn’t a thing when I wrote old Eevolves so Ruby liked Randy and there was no love triangle there. Max was never in the series cause him and his best friend Jax went away to learn ninjutsu from a Naruto ninja master. He wanted to get stronger so April will notice him. Which he did. Ex (or X) was an evil shiny Umbreon named UMBREON X and he was obsessed with Flora and he led a group of shiny Pokémon that terrorized everywhere, and ofc, Mary Shun had to stop him with his cool bad ass Naruto powers. Umbreon X also eventually got April Pregnant. Why April? She had nothing going for her so I thought it’ll bring her back into the story. It didn’t. :V She ended up hiding the baby from everyone. I forgot her son’s name. It’s probably Keith. Keith won’t be in New Eevolves and April is not getting pregnant either. Randy was a runt (like Vay is) and apparently it was Shun’s fault???? Idk. They had a big fight about it (with curse words and all) and Mary Shun with all his edge on display was like “ya…… come with me…….” “Leafeon……. It’s my fault….”. Randy is still oblivious as Ever with how Ruby feels about him, and only realizes when she heard her tell someone else. When he confronts her about this, she lists off the whole cast, saying the Eevolves main characters by their Eeveelution name but every other Eeveelution character by their actual name.

Mary Shun (who was Literally Black from ES but more Emo and Edgy) got super emo around May, so he leaves and May is heart broken for years until a kind Glaceon boy made her happy again and when Shun comes back against his will she still chooses SHUN AND NOT THE CUTE NICE GLACEON BOY WHO HELPED HER THROUGH ALL HER SAD TIMES. (The cute Glaceon character is in new Eevolves too, trying to find a name for him because I don’t remember his old name.) Speaking about Mary Shun, he at the ripe age of 12, had a mate and a child on the way, but both were killed by a Pokémon attack right in front of him (Ofc he killed the Pokémon who did it afterwards) and that is how he became edgy mc Edgelord. Also he borderline hated May and always told her to leave him alone and insulted things she liked. But OFC he had a soft spot for her cause she reminded him of his dead wife *eye roll* literal Tsundere. There is a picture I drew of him and said dead wife, they look like adults. Randy is playing a game with Ruby next to them and they look like literal babies. These characters are NOT THAT FAR IN AGE FROM EACHOTHER. Also ofc there are Eevolves kids too, they have their OWN drama. And one of them ofc is a Ninjutsu master at the ripe age of 4 years old. (Eevolves uses human aging, not SSEC aging btw). Everyone had dead or missing parents. Flora and Max’s parents died in a fire, April and May’s mom died and their dad was missing, Jet never knew his parents, Ruby’s parent abandoned her, Shun and Randy’s parents- are actually alive but Shun disowned them along with his older brother. So they were mostly living on their own. From a young age. No family or cousins or anything. Max evolved into a Jolteon btw.

I feel like the only thing not changing completely is Jet’s backstory, because HONESTLY. It’s the most grounded. I completely overhauled Shun’s personality, gave April more personality, changed everything with Max, gave them actual parental figures (well not Shun, his Parents stays borderline disowned, but the rest do have parental figures) and in general made the story like- not seem like it was written by a 11 year old.

!Eeveelution Explore Beyond your Limits!

Chapter 3 [Choices with Responsibilities or Consequences]

Mike would take her down to the Guild and tie her up on a chair taking her down towards the Guild Leader Office as Explorers and some Rescue team members would see a Sylveon covered in blood being taken there. Once arriving he would put her in front of his desk seated and tied up as the Lucario would just stare down at her.

"I wasn't expecting a young lady to be a Killer.."

Mike would stay quiet unsure how to still process this, but just stare at her besides the Lucario.

"Yeah. I don't know how I'll redeem myself, ending my life would be the best..."

The Lucario and Glaceon would look at each other.

"Sir.. she can be helped I know her and my sister, it'll take ti—"

As Mike tried to defend her Lucario would smack the back of his head angered.

"Are you serious? She literally killed pokèmom ate em in this Town, you seriously think she can be redeemed???"

"I haven't killed anyone here though."

They both stop and turn to her.

"Why were you trying to kill us?"

Mike would ask trying to understand her motive.

"I've craving it since I got to this town and it hasn't gone away, I got desperate and went mad trying to eat you."

Mike would walk up to her and check something looking down at her eyes.

"What is it Mike?"

Lucario asks as both him and the Sylveon are unsure what he is doing.

"Her eyes were never Red, what did you do coming to this island?"

She is shocked and now thinks hard for this.

"I just know I came to this island to live with Karen till my parents moved.. as I made it to the town."

Mike would widen his eyes.

"She's not real. I heard the stories of Pokèmom arriving to this island and forgetting their past, but become a evil version. Who we see her is a dead Sylveon who was reanimated and became a cannibal, but the cause of it is very very unknown some say it could be the curse of the island from long ago from when the founders cause the native pokèmom here to curse this island."

Lucario would close his eyes and think about this phenomenon and circumstances as a minute goes by or two.

"You'll take care of her."

They both would scream

"HUHH?!"

"Where did you get that conclusion??"

Mike would say staring at him in disbelief.

"She bleeds, she has awareness, understands her environment, she's the same Sylveon. A complete copy of her, but we can't kill her or it'll cause problems with the other Town she's from. We are a cursed island and this is our problem. That being said, you will take care of her until we find the true killer of this Town."

Lucario would get up and untie her as she gets off the chair. Mostly because eeveelution line don't normally sit on chairs.

"She's a real Pokèmon.. not a Monster. I put my trust into believing change, even if whatever did this made you try to kill your friends.."

She would glance at Mike who is looking away uncomfortable with the idea, but look back at her making eye contact she would look down feeling bad about herself.

"Yeah. You are right... I'll definitely have this craving for a while, but with time I'll be able to control it. I'm sorry Mike."

Mike would walk up to her as the Lucario steps aside and pets her head as she looks up at him making her face go red.

"Your family to us, but I see the same old cute Sylveon as when I left Vale Town."

She smiles and hugs him.

"Oh yeah I have a name now! I'm Ollie, it is odd we get names in our 12th birthday."

"Good name, easy to say that than Sylveon all the time. Let's head back home."

It is getting late and Mike isn't the type to stay late. They both decided to head home as Lucario sits down and looks at a picture of him and his wife.

"I am starting to believe you."

I'm Surviving My College Class by Making a Madame Bovary Pokemon AU

Amongst other things.

For people who have never taken a college literature class, Madame Bovary is a novel about a woman who marries the stupidest doctor in all the land, has two different affairs, never finds fulfillment, buys a bunch of shit to make herself feel richer, drags her family into debt, and then commits suicide to escape it. Her husband never figures out even half of it until the last chapter.

I'm going under the assumption that- in this AU- most people only have enough money to care for one Pokemon. Exception being the Bovary family- as Emma's Pokemon came with her into the marriage- and a character I believe could afford to feed two.

Emma Bovary- F Eevee -> Leafeon. She popped up on the farm fairly recently, eating whatever she could find. Emma hoped she would become a Sylveon or Espeon- perhaps an Umbreon under the full moon. None of these things happen because she moves to Yonville (that's the town's actual canonical name). It is known for its agriculture, so Eevee- influenced by this environment- evolves into a Leafeon. She becomes yet another symbol of the life Emma hates, and she eventually disowns the Pokemon. Brokenhearted, Leafeon's leaves slowly turn orange. Unlike her mistress, she survives (because I am not that evil) but is a broken-hearted- if rare- autumn variant. However...

Bethe Bovary- F Leafeon (autumn variant). This is the same one mentioned above, who returns and protects her mistress's daughter. Bethe is a baby in the actual book, but in this AU, I wanted to go a little further in time to her childhood. She appreciates Leafeon more than her mother did. While her leaves never heal, her heart does.

Charles Bovary- M Slowpoke -> Slowbro. All you need to know about this man is he is an insufferable dumbass, who can't even tell his wife is cheating on him and leaking all their money. He heard while in medical school that Slowpoke is good for treating illness with its psychic powers (source- the rumor mill, made of other students). Because he's too much of an idiot to figure out trade evolutions, he couldn't evolve Slowpoke into a Slowking. Slowbro is cheerful and helpful, but kinda dumb, and definitely useless in medical situations.

Lheureux- M Alolan Meowth. The only winner in the story, a task he succeeds at by putting the Bovarys in serious debt. A Meowth was the only Pokemon that made any sense. He mostly sulks around, playing with whatever coins his Trainer happens to drop. I chose Alolan Meowth because you're telling me this man wouldn't have a Dark-type? Speaking of...

Rodolphe: F Liepard and M Murkrow. This guy's just an asshole. He's affair number two, and leads Emma along until he realizes that she's a human with flaws. Liepard is his main Pokemon- a former show mon who looks pretty and fierce, but doesn't battle well. Murkrow is used for delivering letters and packages.

Homais: M Loudred. These two literally have the same personality. Loudred agrees with everything Homais says. Even if you can't understand him, he makes sure everyone in Yonville can hear his approval. Kinda like Slowbro, but Slowbro is benign while this guy can break windows.

Leon: M Vulpix -> Ninetales. Affair number 1. He was hard to pick a Pokemon for. But I was thinking of Fire-types (because of a certain Galarian champion) and selected for Vulpix. This man believes he's a romantic, but is actually rather self-absorbed. He still manages to treat Vulpix well. There's a point where he nopes off to another town, where he comes across a Fire Stone. By the time he comes back into the story, Vulpix has evolved. He is furiously protective of his Trainer.

Hippolyte: M Bonsly -> Sudowoodo. Not a major character, but I LOVE therapy Pokemon. In the actual book, Hippolyte is subject to a surgery to cure club foot, despite being able to walk fine. It goes wonky and he loses his leg. It is shortly after this that he encounters Bonsly. With love and care, it becomes Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo serves as a makeshift cane, helping his Trainer get around.

Beggar: M Gastly. Also not a major character, but I wanted to give him a Ghost-type to sing creepy songs with.

You like Pokemon and 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. Do you have any particular Pokemon in mind that Vincent, FlimFlam, Shaggy, and Daphne would own?

Ooh, yes, I do! Get ready for the incoming ramblings--

So, the first step in all of this is determining which Pokémon Scooby and Scrappy would be in a Pokémon AU. This is not easy since, as of Gen 8, though there are plenty of dog Pokémon, none of them are based off of Great Danes, with the possible exception of Suicune (and someone on DeviantArt agrees with me), but as much as I love the idea (and that fanart), our boys Scooby and Scrappy wouldn't be legendaries (that, and there's no puppy form of Suicune for Scrappy to be). There's that post going around pointing out how Scooby (and Scrappy, by extension) are not up to breed standard (which was discussed in an early Where Are You ep re: Scooby trying to impersonate a show Dane and getting scoffed at for it), so as awesome an idea as Suicune!Scooby would be, I don't see it happening.

That being said, the automatic Big Dog of the Pokémon universe that comes to my mind to represent Scooby is Arcanine. I've also seen Boltund and Lucario as Pokémon AU versions of Scooby, and while I can see it, Shaggy holding a great big Arcanine in his arms is the closest thing to the real deal, imo.

One would think this makes Scrappy a Growlithe by default, and while I can see that, Riolu honestly fits Scrappy a lot better.

With Flim-Flam being under 10 years old (I assume; he seems about 8 or 9); he can't really have Pokémon yet, but rules have never really stopped him before, so until he is 10, Riolu!Scrappy is unofficially his Pokémon. Once he's old enough, he probably catches a few Pokémon native to the Pokémon equivalent of the Himalayas--Snorunt, Sneasel, and Snover.

Shaggy would've had Arcanine!Scooby since he was 10 (possibly earlier, unofficially), and I'm wracking my brains trying to think of any other Pokémon he might want to catch, and I'm coming up empty, not because I can't find any others that suit him, but because he and Scooby have such a bond that I can't really see him wanting to catch any other Pokémon--Shaggy doesn't seem like the type. He'd be one of those NPCs with just one Pokémon who doesn't really want to battle anyway.

Daphne, on the other hand, would be really into raising multiple Pokémon, and her first Pokémon would've absolutely been a Pikachu. Daphne is exactly the kind of girl who would've begged her parents for an adorable Pikachu for her 10th birthday and would've gotten one. However, she steps up and takes responsibility in a way that no one would've expected of her (to go along with how she seems to be a stereotypical rich girl on the surface but is, in fact, a deeper character than that) and raises it all the way to Raichu. The rest of Daphne's Pokémon are also ones that are stereotypically cute/beautiful, but she's ended up raising them well, too--Gardevoir (can Mega), Sylveon, Lapras (shiny--because Daphne would be the one to have a shiny Pokémon), and Roserade.

As for Vincent, there are already 2 Pokémon I strongly associate with him: one is Alakazam (I even named my 93% shiny Alakazam in Pokémon Go after him) and the other is Absol (which fits his Dark Is Not Evil motif excellently), so those two have to be on his team (and can Mega, naturally).  I also see him with a G-max Corviknight (as a nod to The Raven, which the real Vincent Price was in), and Galarian Moltres (...which involves explaining a rather long in-joke that involves yet another fandom of mine, so I’ll spare you the explanation).  It is notable that, aside from Galarian Moltres, which is a legendary, that the rest of Vincent’s Pokémon can either Mega Evolve or Gigantamax, and that’s by design--he’s the most powerful warlock in the world, so of course his Pokémon would be OP!

Fan Gym Leaders

So basically, I'm working on a project regarding my fan pokemon region (Gira) and the process includes creating a badge case. Right now, the portraits for each gym leader are complete!

Left to right, top to bottom, that's the order in which the protagonists fight them and in which I'll talk about them after the cut!

Jada, Normal Type gym leader

She/Her · 45 yo · High school Biology teacher · During the week, she lives in Ribera City for work, during the weekends she lives in Sun Town with her husband's (also a gym leader) family and their children

Jada specializes in normal types, her full team consisting of: Blissey, Dubwool, Snorlax, Braviary, Porigon2 and Ursaluna.

Her gym is integrated into the school she works at, though she only accepts challengers outside of school hours. In her free time, she researches pokemon on her own or with colleagues, including the local Pokemon Professor. She will often use her own pokemon to help illustrate the lesson she’s teaching.

Jett, Steel Type gym leader

She/Her · 19 yo · Guitarrist and Vocalist of her heavy metal band · Lives in Eco City

Jett specializes in steel types, her full team being: Aggron, Corviknight, Aegislash, Lucario, Scizor and Bisharp.

She's sadly a character which I can't reveal much of without spoilers, but what's safe to say is:

She sings and plays guitar for her band the Lone Bar Knights (pls appreciate the pun). They often do gigs at the gym itself and even though they only started recently, they got quite a bit of local popularity and some international fans inside of the heavy metal genre. The other members are: Mia (Bassist · she/her), Alba (Keyboadist · they/them) and Periell (Drummer, he/him).

Two toxtricitys have befriended the band, but none of the members have caught them.

Salix, Fairy Type gym leader

He/Him · 10 yo · Grade school student · Lives in Canopy Town

Salix specializes in fairy types, his full team being: Togekiss, Alcremie, Florges, Hatterene, Sylveon and Gardevoir✨.

He lives with his single mother. They depend of his position as a gym leader to afford living. He studies in the same school in which Jada teaches, just some grades lower than her level. The rest of the league put great effort on him not getting involved with evil team bullshit amongst other things.

Lux, Electric Type gym leader

They/Them · 17 yo · High school student, prepparing to go into engineering · Lives in Newlight City

Lux specializes in electric types, their full team being: Kuxray, Rotom (wash), Toxtricity, Eelektross, Electivire and Magnezone.

They're chronically ill, having trouble breathing, that's why they use a nasal cannula. Their grandfather, Volta, was the previous gym leader of the city, their legal guardian and also the person who they got their electivire from. Both Lux and Volta work to improve the city. They also have an older brother, Andre, who works at the local battle facility, the Battle Stadium. When they can't be at their gym due to their illness, either Volta or Andre cover for them.

Nero, Dark Type gym leader

He/They · 27 yo · [REDACTED] · Lives in Madder City, born and lived in Castelia City until he was 17

Nero specializes in dark types, his full team being: Zoroark, Mandibuzz, Krookodile, Scrafty, Hydreigon and Liepard

They're really fucking secretive, so anything I could say about them is a spoiler. I can reveal this though: His number one hobby is making his zoroark get disguised as him, avoiding interviews and league meetings.

Leau, Water Type gym leader

He/Him · 45 yo · Waterpolo coach · During the week, he lives in Escull City for work, during the weekends he lives in Sun Town with his family

Remember Jada's husband? That's right, here he is!

Leau specializes in water types, his full team being: Pelipper, Lapras, Poliwrath, Swampert, Floatzel and Toxapex

He's a waterpolo coach, his gym being in the same place he works at. He was born without an arm and uses a very colorful prosthetic. he specializes in double battles and last but not least: he has a floatzel themed hoodie.

Nani, Icy Type gym leader

She/Her · 24 yo · Model · Lives in Rosada Town, born in Po Town prior whatever happened for it to be like it is in canon, lived in the Aether house until she was 18

Nani specializes in ice types, her full team being: Vanilluxe, Weavile, Galarian Darmanitan, Frosmoth, Glaceon, Alolan Ninetales

She works as a model and always makes sure that the other members of the league are fashionable, arguing that they should have a good image. Her parents died when she was too young to remember, so she lived in the Aether House (and yes, she knows Acerola and Nanu). She moved to Gira when she was 18 because she found a job as a model and subsequently became a gym leader.

She has no trouble with cold, wearing a crop-top in freezing temperatures. This is unlike her girlfriend Sol, the fire type Elite Four who can't stand the cold in any way.

Last but not least: Alma, Ghost Type gym leader

She/Her · [REDACTED] · Historian and Librarian · Lives in Mitjanit City, born and lived in Snowpoint until 20 years prior to the story

Alma specializes in ghost types, her full team being: Dusknoir✨, Cofagrigus, Sableye, Basculegion, Mismagius and Chandelure.

The final one of the spoiler trinity, but not as bad as the other two. Her gym is the oldest one in the region, being at the top of an equally big (and beautiful) library. Other than taking care of the library, she's also a historian, being really interested in the Hisuan period. Her whole precense is built around a creepy victorian and/or retro aesthetic.

Ash was gone, up and left that Sunday night. Delia knew, she always knew when her son up and left. May it be for a journey or just a simple outing with his friends. What’s strange is that Ash has already been to every Region in the world, there’s nothing left to explore. Plus it was Monday, at ten in the morning no less, and Ash hasn’t shown up to help his mother plant the new flowers he sent her from Galar like Ash had promised the weekend before.

Delia knows her son after all, she’s the one that had to raise Ash mostly all up on her own.

Delia also wasn’t surprised when dead bodies started showing up in the middle of towns and cities, all over the world for every to see. It was quite bloody, in fact, organs on the display for even the youngest babies to see. Nothing was left hidden.

It made it satisfying to her for some reason. Maybe it’s because she knew more than half of the people lying on their back or shoved in a town square water fountain. Or maybe it’s because of the vindictive feeling blooming in her stomach and making Delia smile down into her first cup of Joe in the morning, when she first turned on the current news and at the multitude of giant, or little, ‘R’s stitched into every fabric the corpses were wearing. Always on display.

Instead of whoever was doing this, and she has a pretty good guess who was going out of their way, was working from the near top to all the way down to the bottom. The Admins for Team Rocket were the first to go, all four being placed in their home Region and City or Town center. Stretched or hanged for the people to see, to look upon the traitors of the world and point to them. Scorning their actions as piles and piles of internet doot prints were uploaded everywhere, on what felt like millions of accounts on all kind of apps and forums. No one that was affiliated in any good way with Team Rocket was safe.

Except for two humans, their Pokémon, and a talking Meowth.

Delia woke up at the crack of dawn like she always done, it’s been a habit ever since she opened up her little Deli shop in the middle of Pallet Town. Even though she’s gotten a lot more employees, especially for opening shifts because the older Delia gets the more she finds out how much she loves spending the morning with her Pokémon team since childhood, it’s a hard habit to break.

Leo, her shiny Sylveon, was already walking to the front door with a huff. His silk ribbons wrapping around the door handle while Delia walked up to it with a bit of curiosity and exasperated fondness filling her bones.

“Get in here you three!” Delia laughed. Gently nudging Leo away from the crack with her foot and opening the door up more so that the nervous beings could enter. Her smile was warm and soft as she took in their jump appearance.

“The Twerp said it was okay-“ the purple haired man, James, stuttered our but Delia stopped him.

“If it weren’t for you two, my son would have probably been laying at the bottom of the Primal Current dead and the world destroyed by the three birds and Lugia.” She reached out and pulled them in, kicking the door close with her feet while Delia motioned to Leo to go warm the rest of the tream. “So this home is yours, it’s always been yours since the beginning. Come sit down in the kitchen, I was just about to start breakfast.”

Delia has left them at the table, allowing them to sit in tear jerking silence as she went throug the motion of making breakfast. Delia had, unsurprisingly, no amount of anger towards them and what they’ve done in the past to her son. No, Her anger is directed at the head Honcho of the evil gang that’s been gripping Kanto and Johto long before she was even born.

Delia didn’t say anything, as she left the trio to their thoughts and very full dinner plates and extra in the kitchen, when she found an old tombstone broken and torn to shreds. But marks and cursed purple magic danced a little as she poked the broken cement with a nearby stick. Delia didn’t need to know who, or what Pokémon, went after it. She should have given Ash her team before letting him leave. They really need to get rid of their decades long anger and finally destress after all this.

She chose to ignore the muffled sobbing’s drifting from the kitchen window in favor of kissing Sunny, her beloved shiny Arcanine she had all this time since it was a baby Growlith as her second given starter after her first one was stolen, good morning and letting Miss Blue, Delia’s shiny Ninetails and her most pickiest is Pokenon partners, come between them for her own good morning kisses. Her big fluffy blue tinted tails wrapping around her legs and waist in Miss Blues version of a hug.

She didn’t even think about coming back into her house until all her Pokémon family members had gotten their hellos in and were now actively nudging her back towards the sliding glass door because it was breakfast time and they were hungry.

Soon enough, things changed.

Jessie, or Now just Jess, no longer wears tight fitting clothes and spending hours on end putting her hair up in that ridiculous hair swoop. Delia was proud of how fast she had regained her footing, and just how much faster she and Delia’s Houndoom, Soul, and her Togatic, Spots, has gotten along swimmingly. Jess now joins her for the rare jog-run she does on a few country dirt roads when Delia was feeling up to it. Delia also didn’t question it when an Arbol and a Weezing of all things showed up on her porch the next morning on the following Tuesday.

It also was the first day everyone had singly mindingly read the threat clear: Team Rocket will not survive, their rain is ending now and here. Blood shall run for the innocent who colored the streets by their hands. 

Delia has openly chuckled to herself when her guests were still asleep upstairs in Ash’s old redecorated bedroom. Her cold vicious sneer glared back at herself on the TV reflective screen as she watched the camera pan over Ariana’s cold blood drained body that was hanging off a weird metal sculpture that was in the middle of a Town Square in Johto. Silver had sent her a YouMon link that sent Delia to a video titled “The Witch Is Dead.”

Her laughter was louder and had woken up her guests, Delia made breakfast once more while shooing James our do the kitchen multiple times. Brandishing a spatula the entire time.

James took a little more time, it wasn’t until Tracey came around to study and practice her drawing skill on Delia’s Pokémon and spotted James did his healing transformation started. The poor young man was pulled on by a stubborn Tracey through Oalleg Town and to the Professors Ranch, to then for Tracey to to show James how to use an old polaroid camera and a mission to go talk to a few of Ash’s more friendly Pokémon.

Meowth has been inducted that following Wednesday, when the mutilated bodies of Team Rocket’s loads upon loads of scientist were scattered all over the world, by Gary’s sweet Umbreon. The poor cat Pokémon was picked up by the scruff and was bodily dragged to the ranch with Tracey and James following behind it. Tracey giving suggestions and some smalll pointers to James on how to work his new camera. Meowth was surprisingly greeted with open arms by Ash’s Pokémon, none held too much anger for the cat Pokémon since Ash had expressed time and time again of the trios predicament to them. Meowth has never cried so much in his lifetime, and this is including the moment when his mother had left him on the streets to fend for himself at three weeks old.

Delia has used her money, or just barely a fraction of what Ash sends her every month because he doesn’t know what to do with the money the League gives him besides give it to charity and spending it on his travels, to buy the house next door to her. Not the Oaks house down the road to her left, even when it’s barely used anymore and it’s mostly now just an extra house for Delia to house her sons guests in, no. She bought the one a little less down to her right. It was a two story house with just a smaller yard then Delia’s, though it didn’t stop her from smashing down the wooden fence and expanding her garden into their new backyard for James and Jess to join her getting dirty. It was perfect for them and Meowth, along with their plenty of Pokémon who happily greet her every morning just like her own team.

The following Thursday, over more than half a million Team Rocket members that were spread all over in the upper part of many governments and big name brands were killed or seriously maimed and disfigured in that short amount of time had sent Delia reeling back in over flowing motherly pride and love, Champion Lance and Orange Isles Elite Four Drake had shown up in her door. She had just finished teaching both James and Jessie how to properly set up wet clothes that needed to be hung outside on a clothesline is read of shoving them in a dryer at their new home that Delia practically forced onto them with some slight added Country Morther love.

She ushered them in, shushing Souls quite snarling and nudging Miss Blue our of the way, while asking why they were hear and they were just in time because Delia was about to make dinner!

Lance, ever her dumbest childhood friend, asked where Ash was. Or more like demanded by going off his tone of voice. Stomping his foot and declaring that Ash needed to come to the castle right this second.

Thankfully Gary was out of town visiting some other relatives of his sweet late mothers. He wouldn’t be to particularly angry if Delia had stayed that the newly minted Professor had taken Ash as a support human. It’s not like she’s technically wrong, Delia did know for a fact Ash was the one that’s going to pick Gary up on the incoming Sunday.

She had forced the two League Members into sitting down for dinner, steak with loaded potatoes and seasoned barbecued Leaks, Melony had sent her those in a special delivery when Rose’s shredded corpse was hanging off the Chairman’s main building in front of the sliding glass doors. The roses underneath the glass in the entry way were replaced with Blue Forget-Me-Nots, It was a subtle hint made towards Mr.Goodshow, something Delia had caught extremely quickly.

The next day Friday, where the first and only kill was made in Alola according the the news, the new Galar Head Chairman was appointed outside of all Galars previous Chairmen’s. Delia actually ment Chairwoman, Miss Chairwoman Myoso was a wonderful women from what she appeared on TV already. Maybe now Leon will have a less hectic schedual. That same morning a delicately made box wrapped in the finest of hand painted silk was delivered to Delia’s porch, she knew who had done it but it also wasn’t her place to voice the silent appreciation gift.

Her kitchen has never sparkled so beautifully in the middle of the day during lunch. And all she has to thank were the little flat glass figures of the island Tapu’s closed shells twirling and swaying, hanging from near her kitchen top window.

Delia never liked Faba to begin with when she had met him, while he and Sycamore were both still in college, all those years ago.

More small trinkets were popping up on her doorstep every morning. All wrapped in very nice clothes and one of them in giant thin leaves. They ranged from very beautiful necklaces, to even a few plants and cups, her favorite so far either had to be the colored glass blown Swampert figuring sitting o top of her new fountain in the middle of her garden. One she hadn’t built at all and knew just who exactly did that. Or the little green house but that popped up that morning as well, the only plant in it was a Kalosian flower that was red, white, and black with small pink crystals gently fused into the pot top thick edge.

She had breakfast with the trio on that Saturday morning, they were on the young adults new back patio when a streak for blazing fire crossed the sky. Flashes of green and purples bluish light soon followed after.

Delia chose to ignore it while the other three started to freak out a little. She let them have a few minutes before bringing them back to their cooking breakfast omelets Jess has made for them.

Later that night the reporter stated that multiple unapproved satellites where brought crashing to the Earth crust. Only stopping mysteriously and there were some very blurred photos of a giant green floating snake like Pokémon and two purple floating blurred next to the head. Delia had finally gone for her first and only scotch for that evening, since a thought about getting any more than half a glass had Mr.Mimey skittering out of a random hallway corner and babbling at her while getting Delia a glass of water and a Tylenol before rushing the woman off to bed. 

Sunday was the end all the river full of blood crashing through the streets.

Sunday was the day when the world woke up the sight of Giovanni’s head spreads onto a pole in Pallet Town Square. Directly in the middle of the giant water fountain and the blood slowly dripping down was making the cascading water turn a light pink color like someone just added food dye.

Sunday morning is when she had her son knocking on her door. With Gary, Daisy and her husband, Tracey, Misty, Brock, Ritchie, Professor Oak standing behind him. The trio, who she had fondly started to call them her kids just like Ash and Gary and the wrest of Ash’s friends, Ahmad let themselves in from the slide back door. Everyone ignored when Umbreon and Pikachu both trotted up and twisted themselves around Meowth, the pile for fur and limbs were purring. Especially since Pikachu had grown to half way between Sunny and Souls height.

Sunday was when Ash and Delia walked for an hour and a half out into an old path in the woods. Only to stop by an old broken down house with moss, vines, and even a few small tress growing inside with rubble all around the place. They were visiting Delia’s home before her parents had died, before she had to move in with Lance and his parents if Delia wanted to stay back in Kanto. Visiting a time before her first starter was stolen from her along with her innocence and late teen years as she struggled to get by while pregnant.

Sunday is the day she was reunited with her first starting, the first time she openly cried in front of her son as Delia felt the oh so familiar feeling of a sandpaper tongue licking her hands and face while a deep purring and mewling echoed around the destructed building. amber slots blown wide stared back into Delia’s own amber eyes, before both their eyes closed and Delia leaned forward to plant a lasting kiss onto her sweet Persians glimmering red gem on its silky furred forehead.

Sunday is the day Delia finally starts to heal from her past.

things I liked and disliked about pokemon sword and shield (will update when I buy the dlc)

I liked all the new pokemon, they fit my aesthetic pretty well save a few and I especially love the fairy types of this region and want to make a team solely for fairy types 

The wild area was really fun and is doing pretty good at keeping me entertained in the post game

Max raid battles are fun, and I like how easy it is to level up pokemon and train them (albeit a bit TOO easy but I never liked grinding so I can let it pass)

Marnie and the dark gym, marnie's cute as fuck and I love the sibling dynamic with piers

I also liked Bede, he’s interesting

All the gym leaders (except Milo, he scares me) are actually really fun! I liked the unique gym challenges 

Dislikes:

Leon. The undefeated champion who’s pants at directions and has a charizard, did I mention he’s undefeated? and has a charizard? The undefeated champion leon who has a super cool charizard and is hops older brother is the most champion annoying champion peace of champion shit champion ever only beaten out by

Hop, I will strangle him. I don’t need to be stopped every 3 steps for a cutscene I am going to beat him up and steal his lunch money and wooloo, that’s right fucker I’m taking your god damn wooloo because you obviously aren’t good enough for it

Team Yell was really disappointing tbh, I get that team skull (which was my favorite team and is the best evil team fight me) was really popular and they tried to recreate it but it really didn’t work. At all. I hate these guys

And they were obviously coping the aether foundation with Chairmen Rose! Lusamine was great, because she was new and actually interesting, and that one time she fused with an ultra beast I will NEVER forget little me was gasping, what does Rose have? A hot gf? Big:tm: pokemon? Boring as hell as a villain, same goes for whats her name, bad villains they really be coping sun and moons homework but changing it a little to make it not look exactly the same.

 The beginning was the most boring thing I’ve ever been subjected to and that’s coming from a girl who’s all time favorite game is pokemon ultra sun and moon. Holy fuck, it’s so annoying

There’s nothing else in the post game but the wild area, I usually don’t like the battle tower type areas 

It just felt emotionless, I didn’t develop any bonds with my pokemon until butterfree started kicking ass and I got my snom! (which I was way too enthusiastic about but she’s perfect so fuck you)

I got mixed feelings on pokemon camp, I like making curry and seeing all my pokemon and being able to interact with all of them as opposed to just one, but I really liked petting them and feeding them. Also don’t like how they took away the method to evolve Sylveon glad about Glaceon and Leafeon tho 

Over all? Not the worst pokemon game, I expected much better though

emmets partner is a pidgey. it evolves into a pidgeot eventually. he also has a gurdurr and a pikachu

rex has a banette as a partner. :)

lucy's partner is a gothitelle, but she also has a shiny obstagoon thats like her second partner, as it was when she was a singer

To everyone: what would your Pokemon teams be and why?

Oh good god.

Well… this is going to get complicated. At least from me.

Let’s start with assuming no legendary Pokemon. Makes life a bit easier. Of course only a bit.

So… first off a lot of this depends on generation and limit. If you’re asking for a full team that I would have with rotations and stuff, we’re looking at… probably close to 10 full teams of 6, maybe even more.

In my defense, I’m a major Pokemon fan and I really really like a lot of them.

Of course, if we’re going to cut down the team to a more manageable six which can be from any region/gen, but only one from each region/gen to keep things interesting and varied… well, it would depend on a lot of things, including mood and such, so if one were to ask me this question again it would likely change. But, here would be, as I feel right now, the team I would use if I was limited to only six, one per region/gen.

1: Lucario. I’ve been a fan of this guy for so so long, ever since it was first introduced. I loved Lucario and the mystery of Mew as a kid (still kinda do). The whole concept behind aura is amazing. One’s spiritual energy/life force/ soul being utilized in combat? Being able to sense others and see without seeing? So awesome. Lucario is just SO. FREAKING. COOL. It’s design is wonderful as well. Jackel/Anubis? Yes please. Plus, I’ve been maining Lucario in Smash Bros. ever since Brawl. You better believe it’s making my team.

2: Tyranitar. Is it probably the weakest pseudo legendary when it comes to typing? Yes. Do I care? No. Tyranitar is BA. First, it’s one of the only two pseudo’s to not be a dragon. Yes, 8 regions, 9 pseudo’s, and only 2 are not dragons. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some dragons. But… variety would be nice, you know? But yeah, not a dragon, still awesome. It’s Godzilla for crying out loud! Plus, its design is just so good. It’s simple but perfect. It’s a giant Lizard creature that could fell mountains. It doesn’t need to be complicated, and is perfectly awe-inspiring and terrifying without being complicated. I also used a Tyranitar in my Ultra Sun playthrough, a male one named Typhon, Man was he fun to use.

3: Golisopod. Listen, if a Pokemon is good enough for YOUR BOI GUZMA to use it on his team, you know it’s a good pokemon. It’s the Alola take on Gyarados and Milotic (weak pathetic first stage with few moves  and while those two do have a slightly higher BST, that ain’t enough to keep my boy Golisopod down. Golisopod’s design is just so good. An Isopod mixed with a Samurai? Sign me right up thank you. It mixes the creepy crawly aesthetic of the bug type with the strong proud samurai perfectly and I love it. And yeah, sure Emergency Exit can be kind of annoying, but it allows you a second usage of First Impression. That is worth it. Also, it’s shiny is dope.

4: Toxtricity. Part of building a team means keeping in mind type composition. I love Grimmsnarl dearly and equally, if not more so, but I already have one Dark-type on the team, so Toxtricity manages to bag this spot. At least, for now considering my current mood. Ask me again tomorrow, or even in an hour, my answer may very well change. Anyway, Toxtricity itself. When I fist saw the design, I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt. It was… interesting to say the least, but I couldn’t figure out what I was looking at, or what it was supposed to be. But after some more time with it, learning more about it and using one I can say that Toxtricity is easily one of my new favorites. Quite possibly my absolute fave from Gen 8. A punk lizard that plays music? Rock/Metal? HECK. YES. The form change is also pretty nice. The stats don’t change between the two, but I honestly like it that way. Just the idea that more energetic natures would have an ‘Amped Up’ form based on an electric guitar while the more mellow natures would have a ‘Lowkey’ one based on a bass is ingenious. Same with the movepool changes. It makes sense that the different forms with their different music preference would have different moves. (My personal fave is the Amped Up, especially with its shiny colors.) Plus, an electric posion type? SO. COOL. Who cares about 4x weak to earthquake, this thing is boss! And Punk Rock is an amazing ability.

5: Flygon. Man oh man was Flygon treated poorly. Added in Gen 3 as a solid pokemon, but with a better attack stat than a special attack one. True, not bad in it of itself but before the Special/Physical split, ALL Dragon-type moves were special. Meaning Dragon Claw, a solid dragon type move back in Gen 3, wasn’t yet a physical move. And Outrage wasn’t even something Flygon could learn yet (it wouldn’t be until Gen 7 that it became a TM). Then came gen 4. Now, I love gen 4. I truly do. It is by far my favorite Gen. And it did do something very good for Flygon. It gave the special/physical split, allowing some Dragon type moves to now be physical as well. But you know what else came along? Garchomp. Honestly, I like Garchomp, I do. But suddenly here we are with a new Dragon/Ground type that is a pseudo-legendary? My poor poor Flygon. And it didn’t get any better. I mean seriously, give Mewtwo and Charizard two megas but none to Flygon? WHILE GIVING ONE TO GARCHOMP WHO DIDN’T NEED IT AND WAS ITS BIGGEST COMPETITION?! Why Game Freak? Why?Anyway, mini-rant aside, I love Flygon. The design is incredible. The line is based on an antlion and is so cool. That sweet green design and the little lenses over the eyes? Perfect, just perfect. Plus, it has some sweet lore. Appearing in sandstorms with haunting music coming from its wings? Yes please. Beautiful pokemon that was done such disservices. It’s a shame really. With Megas gone, Flygon will likely never get that final boost it needs. Though considering it is in Galar while Garchomp isn’t… maybe Flygon will have a chance to shine again. (A shame though that it will never get to have a type change to Bug Dragon. Would be sick.) Regardless of the future though, Flygon will always have a place in my heart, and in my team. 

6: Zoroark. Yeah, I know what I said about team composition above with Toxtricity and Grimmsnarl. But  I also pointed out mood has a lot to do with it. Anyway, for Zoroark itself. Like Lucario, I’veb een a fan for so long, ever since it was first introduced. It’s kinda funny in a way. Zoroark acts as the perfect yin to Lucario’s yang. Lucario uses aura to sense things and to see, Zoroark is the maser of illusions. In it of itself, this illusion business is awesome, but add in how it counters Lucario and it works just so well. Typing as well, Lucario is a fighting steel, the type you’d think of for a chivalrous paladin of justice and truth, while Zoroark is dark (evil type in Japan), perfect for a sly illusion master. Of course, it’s not just dualism with Lucario. The line is just so amazing itself. Clearly drawing from Kitsune, Zoroark is a sly fox that is able to not just use illusions, but masters them to the point of being able to create solid constructs out of them (see the anime). It is just so cool, how can I not love it? Also, like Tyranitar before it, I used a female one named Vixen in my Ultra Sun playthrough and it was a delight. 

Anyway, that would be my team. You know, assuming all the limitations I put on myself and my mood at this moment. But if you guys enjoyed this and want to know more about my favorite pokemon, please let me know. I’m always happy and excited to talk about Pokemon.

Ooo!! This’ll be fun to answer! Cause, well, I love Pokémon!!!

But, forgive me for this; I haven’t played any of the games.

So im just saying my favorite characters!!!

1: Glacieon, I really, really like glacieons and have always loved ice type Pokémon. Mainly because I really like the cold. Like; really, really, like the cold. I also really like her attacks, their cool!!! (Pun intended)

2: Furret. Absolutely furret, I never knew why I liked furret, but. I’m just gonna blame it on me really liking Ferrets and cause I honestly have really liked normal types for some reason.

3: Vulpix (either one), I really like any fire type Pokémon mainly because I’ve always just had a very weird interest in fire and because vulpix can be either a fire or ice Pokémon I love that about them. And they remind me of a bunch of irl animals that I love!!

4: Smom , I LOVE THOSE LIL ICE BABEYS SO MUCH!?!? They are so cute-!? I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH???! They are all my children and I want to adopt them all, and I will. No one can stop me………except maybe the other mods-

5: Sylveon, absolutely. I always have such an attachment even with digital animals, so I absolutely would give my eevee enough attention and love for them to evolve into sylveon. Honestly, it’d end up be accidental, but, I still really love Sylveon, and wouldn’t care if I got more than one of them-

6: Flareon, listen- I just love eevees okay-? I love them all so so much, and would lay down my life for each and every one of them. Just 💞💞💕💖💓💖💝💞💖💕💝💓💕💞💖💞💖💝💘💖💕💕💞

Ah, I bet you missed hearing from me! No worries, I’ll tell you my pokemon team, even if it’s not particularly exciting.

First off, a Pachirisu is a must for my team. I’ve always loved how hyper it can be and the mishaps it would cause. Plus, c’mon- who doesn’t like its color scheme?

I’d also incorporate Chimchar to my team. I’ve always had a soft spot for Chimchar, since it was my first ever starter and I leveled mine all the way up to 100 in my Pokemon Platinum playthrough.

Yamper definitely had my heart the moment I saw it! I have a really strong love for dogs, and its addition to the game got me so excited!! Kirigiri can vouch for me on that one.

Growlithe is also integral to me. When my dog was a puppy, I used to jokingly call her a growlithe. I don’t think I still have pictures, but I even got her a floof for halloween once so she could be in a costume with me. Also... Arcanine is seriously badass.

Wooloo is super cute too! I love that it rolls away from its problems, and I, too, wish to do that. Plus the braids immediately reminded me of Peko, so I was super soft for it the moment it was revealed.

Finally, I’ll add my favorite Eeveelution to the team: Glaceon! Something about its sleek design always made me happy, and the way its fur sharpens as defense is super interesting!

(If legendaries were allowed on the team, I would’ve added either Giratina or Shaymin. They’re my favorites.

furuba pokémon au?

so other than being a fruits basket fan, i’m also super into pokémon. today’s swsh news got me thinking about furuba characters as pokémon trainers and well… those thoughts definitely spiraled into obsession. this is by no means a comprehensive or definitive list but these are my thoughts so far.

tohru - she would run a healing/support based fairy type team. i picture her main being whimsicott because from the back, it looks a bit like a rice ball with a plum. tohru would frantically sprint to the pokémon center after every battle, though she wouldn’t be a big fighter anyway. her bag would be stuffed full of healing items and she’d probably catch most of her team in heal balls or luxury balls. all her pokémon would have max friendship. i think her team would also be a duel type team, grass and fairy. i picture her with ‘mons like (mega) audino, deerling, bulbasaur, sylveon, leafeon, or togepi.

kyo - this type selection was probably the easiest. kyo runs a fighting type team. he and his pokémon train relentlessly - and also have a knack for finding the best berries, so the whole team is well fed. kyo runs pokémon like mienshao, primeape, blaziken, or maybe even a (shiny) bewear. his team also consists of two types, as he also trains fire types. i see him with maybe a typhlosion, darmanitan, incineroar, or houndoom. kyo takes excellent care of his pokémon but his battle style is all out and relentless. he uses offensive moves only; the boy has never heard of a stat boosting move in his life. he wins on raw power or not at all.

yuki - yuki is a water and ice master. his team having one type strong against kyo’s and one type weak to it feels fitting. yuki’s ace is probably a milotic, and he’d also run things like floatzel, samurott, primarina, or lapras on the water side and glaceon, alolan ninetales, frosslass, or aurorus for ice pokémon. yuki is an incredibly skilled battler but doesn’t really fight unless directly challenged. unlike kyo he’s all about strategy; his pokémon carry lots of status inflicting moves. yuki is almost a celebrity battler, but what his fans don’t know is that his pokémon are also emotional support animals and are trained to end battles quickly and discreetly if he ever develops an anxiety or asthma attack mid battle.

shigure - easy pick, he runs dark types. shigure is that asshole who hides behind a corner and challenges passing travelers. he’s friendly, but plays dirty in battle and you wouldn’t really want to make him your rival. he uses pokémon like liepard, mightyena, houndoom, zoroark, honchkrow, and shiftry. he appears randomly a lot, usually with a useful and quest-relevant item, but you can never be positive he’s not working for the evil team.

hatori - also a defense/healing based team. kingdra is his ace. he runs dragon types (duh) and probably a second type but i have no idea what. best guesses go to steel, psychic, or ground.

ayame - poison type trainer with an arbok, a scolipede, and a seviper, but ayame is way more into contests than battling. he makes his own contest spectacular outfits. people underestimate him because they don’t think most poison types are usually contest viable, but he makes it work.

kagura - solo runs with a grossly over leveled emboar. beware her heat crash. she’s not really a trainer, more of just an everyday person with one partner pokémon.

hana - she runs psychic types, obviously, and is psychic herself. she’s a sitting gym leader but doesn’t get a lot of challengers. she can often tell whether a challenger is worthy by their wave signature even before the battle starts. her main is an espeon, but she also runs alakazam, xatu, gardevoir, swoobat, starmie, or delphox. her team changes out a lot because psychic pokémon are sensitive and battles tire them out quickly. this is why her gym is difficult to get through - she would hate to overwork her team.

uo - steel type trainer. she used to participate in a lot of street battling rings but she has since retired and only battles safely against her friends, and even then only on occasion. she’s a more defensive battler in friendly matches but if ever forced to battle an actual enemy she is a force of nature. uo carries pokémon like aggron, mawile, scizor, metagross, excadrill, bastiodon, or bisharp. she says her mawile reminds her of hana. uo will sometimes step in with her metagross as one of the trainers in hana’s gym.

akito - i get ghost type trainer vibes. akito is relatively obsessed with the idea of legendary pokémon, namely arceus, and is convinced they are more than folklore. she would lead an evil team, formed by members of the sohma clan, in an attempt to harness the power of legends for herself. however, she would be a leader like archie/maxie or N or guzma who is reformed at the end of her arc. i think she would then devote her time to being a lorekeeper instead, changing her obsession with legends into something positive. she would probably carry mismagius, chandelure, oricorio sensu, mimikyu, gengar, banette, or froslass.

momiji - more of a jack of all trades than a type focused trainer, i think momiji would actually appreciate some “weaker” pokémon and give them a fair shot. he’d run things like plusle (his sister would have a minun), bunnelby, whismur, spinda, oricorio pom-pom, and wigglytuff.

kisa - look idk but tiny girl with giant incineroar just makes me happy as a concept. kisa doesn’t battle, by the way, it’s her emotional support incineroar.

hiro - he claims that he thinks battling is stupid and pokémon are lame. he owns a mareep and a gogoat anyway and gets really mad if you point out how much he dotes over them.

rin - i haven’t seen her animated and it’s been forever since i read the manga so this one isn’t deep and insightful, but she has a mudsdale, a zebstrika, and a rapidash. horse gang. don’t @ me.

haru - trains normal and dark types. his training style varies wildly; light haru isn’t much of a battler and prefers riding pokémon for fun, but dark haru is an aggressive battler with a style reminiscent of kyo’s. he has a bouffalant and a tauros, both of which he rides because they have a better sense of direction than he does. he also carries an absol, a pangoro, a zweilous, and a slaking. haru takes forever to get from one gym to the next, so he’s nowhere near getting all his badges yet.

kyoko - no idea about her team specifically but i think kyoko was a fighting type trainer who gave up battling but never gave up on her pokémon and kept them until her death. i like to think kyo’s mankey was a gift from her when he was a child.

this took a bit to type out, geez. that’s really all i have for now but feel free to add on or throw in your own ideas, even if they conflict with mine! i’d love to know what the rest of the fandom thinks, if any of you are big pokémon fans!

27 Ash and Paul?

Pewter Arcean General Hospital

“How long has that been there Ash?” Brock’s fingers pressed against his temples as he watched Joy examine the small bump she’d found in Ash’s stomach, pressing her fingers around it gently.

“I don’t know...?” Ash could only stare up at the bright white ceiling above him, too embarrassed to look at Annie, and certainly didn’t want to look over at his best friend while he was in nothing but his briefs and a hospital gown.

“Are you sure this doesn’t hurt Ash?” Annie asked again, pressing down a bit harder first. Ash shook his head again, she frowned. “I dunno Brock, it could just be a tumor. I mean, he did tell me that you always liked to take Pokémon moves head on. It could also just be scarring built up over the years.” She turned down to Ash. “I know this is breaking all of the HIPAA Regulations but, we’re both Doctors here and two minds are better than one.” She sat up and pulled off her gloves.

Ash didn’t know what to say as she helped him sit up. “But if it’s a tumor... how long do you think he’s been living with that?” Brock was frustrated as he took a seat across from her. Ash looked over at Joy for her answer, and all she did was shrug.

“It’s really so hard to tell. First thing’s first.” She handed Ash a new patient packet. “You now have to fill that out because I’m admitting you. Then, after that, we’ll get you a room and start tests.”

“You mean blood tests?! And getting one of those... waterlines into me?” Ash’s elbows began to throb just at the thought of having Joy jam needles into them. “I don’t know...” He looked down at the papers. “I don’t even know what kind of insurance I’m on. Paul usually keeps all that stuff in his wallet..”

Both Brock and Annie looked at each other before looking at Ash. “Ash... you should call him.”

“He doesn’t even know I’m here. I didn’t want him to worry.” Ash shrugged. “But it’s either a huge scar or a tumor and that means...” Ash couldn’t even say the word. Tears welled in the corners of his eyes as he thought about it.

Joy sat down in front of him and moved the clipboard. “Look at me Ash. If it’s that, if it’s cancer, you know that we will all be here for you. Especially Paul. I think you should call him. You’re gonna need support for whatever I find. Okay?” A soft hand held his face and brushed away his tears and she was smiling at him so sweetly he couldn’t even bring himself to feel sad anymore.

Ash only nodded before he blinked a few times and looked over at his friend. “I can see why you recommended her. She’s amazing. Can you hand me my phone? It’s in the pocket of my jeans.” Brock only smiled at him softly and handed him his phone.

Ash slowly scrolled through his phone and clicked on Paul’s name and held it out and away from him so the video feed wasn’t just his face. It took a few moments before a hologram of Paul’s head and shoulders popped up above his phone. “Hey...”

“What’s going on?” It was then that Ash remembered he was in a polka dot hospital gown. “Ash, what’s wrong?”

“I’m in the hospital.” Ash couldn’t even stop his voice from cracking, all of his previous thoughts rushing back to him. “I’m in Pewter City. Can you come?”

“Of course I’ll come. What happened?” Paul’s usually stoic face was full of concern, Ash hadn’t seen that face in a long time, he didn’t realize how much he missed it.

“I think...” Ash looked away. “I found something in my stomach, like a month ago but I thought I just ate too much but... now it’s bigger and I just..” He watched as Paul’s face drop and his eyes close tight. “Joy and Brock think it might be cancer... or scarring.. or something... I just.. I need you here.”

“Where’s Pikachu?”

“He’s on the other side of the hospital getting pampered by Brock’s interns.” Ash brushed away small tears and he watched as Paul put on his jacket and start to wrap a scarf around his neck.

“I’ll try to get there as fast as I can, could be an hour and a half.”

“Okay... can you send me the insurance information?” He watched the background in Paul’s hologram change as he moved through the castle. “I don’t have it, and Joy’s booking me a room and she needs to take some tests.”

“They’ll get the information when I get there. Just fill out what you can, I’ll see you soon.” Paul stopped just outside of the castle. “I love you Ash. I’m gonna be there soon.”

“I love you too.” Ash held back tears as Paul hung up and he put his phone down and started filling the packet out again. Once he was finished he handed it to Brock who began to put him into the system and made him a new paper chart.

“Just don’t look at the needle okay Ash?”

“Okay.” Ash replied, tensing as Joy poured alcohol onto her hands and rubbed them together before pulling on a new pair of gloves and started to prep his arm. “Is this really necessary J-“, he couldn’t help but whine has he felt her tie the rubber band around his arm and then pushed in the needle. He tried his best to not look as Brock handed her empty vial after empty vial. Ash felt himself start to hyperventilate. “O-Oh Mew, how many do you need??”

“As much as I can get so we can run the right tests Ash. Just stay calm and breathe. See? This is already your IV. All I’m taking from is the second tube.”

Ash just shuddered as he looked at the long tube that branched out. About fifteen tubes in total were filled before he was being wheeled off to a private room by Brock who LAUGHED at him.

“Stop laughing. I hate needles.” Ash frowned as Brock pushed him into an elevator. “Torturers.”

“Hey. You don’t even have a needle in you, if that makes you feel any better. It’s a small rubber tube. You’ll feel better once they put a nice cool bag of water on you.” His leg shook as he thought about it.

“That doesn’t sound nice.” He tried his best to not think about it. And failed, and Brock laughed even harder at the long whine he was emitting.

“Come on Ash. You’ll be okay. You’re gonna get through this. You always do. We’re gonna get through this.” Ash looked up at his mean doctor friend in his stupid white coat. Brock looked back down at him and patted his hair in the loving, big brother way.

And that made Ash feel like everything was gonna be okay. “Will you bring Pikachu? So I’m not alone until Paul comes?”

“Of course Ash.”

“Piii..” Pikachu purred softly as he kneaded Ash’s stomach, near the stupid cancer tumor scar demon thing that was most likely gonna kill him. Ash reached out and gently rubbed his buddy’s head, a soft smile easily forming as Pikachu cooed and leaned up into the pats.

“I love you too buddy.” Ash moved his hand to Pikachu’s back, rubbing small circles into his back.

“Pika!” Was his answer. He watched in amusement as Pikachu stretched and went limp against him, a steady purr just coming from him.

He’d been waiting for nearly an hour now, flipping through channel after channel of boring morning tv. Apart of him wanted to nap, but he didn’t want to without Paul there.

Like he’d been summoned, the door opened and there stood his fiancé, heavy coat in hand. Ash cracked a smile at him. “Hey you two.”

“Hey there Munchlax.” Paul closed the door behind him as a sweet feline Pokémon ran for him, jumping up gracefully onto the bed and nuzzled him. “Sylveon.” He purred softly and Paul put his coat and scarf on the rack near the door before making his way over and pressed a gentle kiss to Ash’s lips. It was Ash’s turn to hum as Paul pulled away and sat down next to him, a hand reaching out to rub Pikachu’s back.

A soft “Chuu” filled the room along with the soft ping of Ash’s heart machine. Sylveon nuzzled Pikachu before he laid down under the arm where Ash had his IV and wrapped his ribbons around it.

“Thank you Sylveon..” He gently rubbed it’s head before he looked over at Paul. “I’m sorry I didn’t say anything when I first found out...” Ash looked down to when Paul gently took his hand.

“Don’t be...” Paul just shrugged at him before lifting his hand to kiss his knuckles. “I’m here now. With you. For you.” He kissed Ash again, smirking as the pinging sped up a bit.

“You’re evil.”

“Am not.” Paul let go of Ash’s hand and moved to stand. “You look tired.” He walked around the bed to the windows and pulled the blinds close and headed for the other wall near the door and dragged down the dials. “You should get some rest. Who know’s how long it’ll take for your test results to come back.”

Ash stared at him from where he laid, Pikachu had stayed in his place on Ash’s stomach, and Sylveon didn’t budge from his spot but Ash did his best to scoot over. “Lay with me?” He could just barely make out the smile on Paul’s face.

“Of course.” Ash waited as Paul scooted himself into the small hospital bed and wrapped him up in his arms.

Instantly, he felt better as he turned his head so his face was turned into Paul’s chest, the faint smell of his cologne lulling him to sleep.

Ash wasn’t sure what woke him up, the soft knock on his room door or Paul gently blowing in his face. He blinked a few times and looked up at him, soft smile on his face.

His attention was then turned to the door opening, Brock was wheeling in an odd looking machine while Joy followed with a frosty looking bag of water. “You’re gonna feel a little cold for a moment, but you’ll be fine afterwords.”

Ash looked up and noticed that his IV was nearly empty, and while he didn’t have to go, he did feel refreshed. And that continued on when Joy hung the water bag with tiny beads of ice in it, he whined for a moment as he felt the cold work it’s way up his arm and then across his chest before he felt warm again. “What’s that machine for?” He couldn’t help but ask.

“This is a sonogram machine. We just want to check something... because if we’re wrong like we probably are, we’ll have to run a few more tests.” She smiled at him and hurried around the bed to hug Paul. “Hi Paul.” She placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.

“Hello Anne. Brock.” Paul did the same before pulling away and getting up to hug Brock.

Ash continued to stare at the machine in confusion. “What’s a sonogram?”

Brock sat down at the machine and started to set it up for Joy as she pulled on a pair of gloves and directed Paul to the seat next to the bed. “It’s the technical word for an Ultrasound. Kinda. It’s just a picture machine, like an X-ray but it uses sound instead of radiation.” Annie smiled at him as she lifted up the hospital gown and pulled the blankets up and wrapped them into his underwear.

Ash didn’t say anything as Brock finished and rolled the machine over to Annie who poured a cool gel onto his stomach, just above the stupid cancer tumor scar demon thing. “Now you’re gonna feel some pressure but don’t worry, it’s just so we can get a good look.” And she placed down the handle of the machine and Ash watched as the dark screen suddenly changed.

Joy’s hand moved around a bit, searching around the cancer tumor scar demon thing first before she rolled it right on top of it and suddenly the picture changed. Ash strained to see what it was as she rolled it around. Suddenly she looked over at Brock and nodded, and put the probe back onto him and started to take full pictures of whatever she was looking at.

“What is it?” Paul spoke for the both of them, and Ash turned to see him standing over her shoulder as she clicked away at the controls. Once she was satisfied, she put the probe on Ash’s lap and turned back to the both of them.

“It’s a baby.” Joy grinned, flipping through the photo’s she’d taken. “It’s your baby. It’s not cancer, or scar tissue...”

“What?!” “Pikachu!” Ash blinked as he looked down at his stomach, and then at Paul, and then back to his stomach. He could already feel his cheeks getting red as Paul sat down heavily next to him. “I’m pregnant?”

Both Joy and Brock nodded with certainty. She picked the probe back up and clicked to a different screen and pressed it back into his stomach. On the machine Ash could see a heartbeat monitor just like his on the screen, and she moved it around again to show.. a small... heart.. beating away. “You’re having a baby Ash. I don’t know how, but.. it’s there.”

He didn’t realize he was crying until Pikachu nuzzled him and spread wetness across his cheeks. He could feel Sylveon’s ribbons working their way around his waist, and Ash knew the Pokémon was happy. He turned to Paul, in shock. “I’m pregnant.”

Paul looked at him and reached a hand out for Ash’s stomach, placing it down gently, not caring that it was still covered in the blue gel. Had anyone else been in the room, they would have never seen the single tear that ran down his face. “Yeah. You are.”

Joy finally put up the probe and cleaned Ash off with a warm wet towel while Brock set out to print out the pictures Joy took. “Congratulations you two. Ash, you look about twenty one weeks along. That’s nearly five months, you’re gonna have to be super careful from now on okay? With everything, with what you eat to how hard you train. I don’t even want you lifting anything more than ten pounds.” Ash could only nod in wonder as he and Paul both stared at the photos of their baby...

“Paul, I’m gonna send a prescription for a prenatal to the pharmacy out in Snowpoint. You make sure Ash takes it when directed and doesn’t do anything too strenuous. It’s not just him anymore.”

Paul stood and nodded and moved to hug both Brock and Joy. “Thank you. I will make sure he stays in line.”

They both only nodded before moving to hug Ash, who was being cuddled by Pikachu and Sylveon. “Make sure you call your mom and let her know. I’m sure she’ll be over the moon.” Brock kissed Ash’s cheek. “See ya.”

“Bye!” Ash kissed Annie’s cheek as she smiled at him.

“I’ll get you discharged in a few hours, but for now, just relax and soak up all that water okay? Oh! Your due date should be late October, sometime around the fifteenth!” And with that, the two happily left the room, obvious sighs of relief leaving them.

After the door closed Ash turned to Paul, who was taking a picture of the ultrasound with his phone to send to Reggie probably. “Five months... that means we have four months to get ready.”

Ash heard the ping of Paul’s phone before he put it down. “We’ll be ready. We have your mom, Reggie, Brock, Joy..” He gently kissed Ash’s hand again. “You never fail to surprise me.”

He noticed the small tear that just welled in the corner of Paul’s eye and reached out to rub it away. “I love you.”

“I love you more.” And like a dam had broken, Paul’s phone took off with ring after ring. Paul picked it up and answered, and Reggie’s excited voice came through from the other side. He listened to Paul laugh and watched him smile as he told Reggie all the details up until now.

Ash picked up his own phone and started to dial, and waited for his mom to answer. Moments passed and she popped up on his screen, hair up in her towel and in her robe.

“Hi Pumpkin!”

“Hey mom. I’ve got some news to tell you.” Ash smiled at her.

“Oh! Have you two finally decided on the date for the wedding? I’ve been waiting for a year!”

Ash shook his head. “No mom. I’m... having a baby.. Paul and I, we’re having.. a baby.”

Delia screamed into the camera, making Paul jump beside him. She jumped up and down with joy. “Really?! Oh.. this is so exciting! Congratulations! How far along are you?”

“Twenty one weeks..” Paul answered as he lifted up the ultrasound. “Dr. Joy says October 15th.”

“October? That’s so close! We need to get you ready Ash!!! Oh Mew!!! You two need to get MARRIED already!!!” Paul just nodded at her.

“Well we were planning on next year, but it’ll be within the next month.” He looked over at Ash, and Ash looked at him. “I don’t want to wait any longer than I have to.”

Delia beamed, eyes watery. “Dr. Joy? You’re here in Kanto? I’ll be there in a half hour!” And with that, she ended the call and Ash put down his phone.

“Next month?”

Paul just nodded. “I mean it Ash. I don’t want to wait any longer to marry you now. Then we can start getting ready for October.” He leaned in and Ash closed the gap, kissing him softly.

“October... I can’t wait!” He reached a hand down and held it over what he now knew was a baby bump. “We’re having a baby!”

“Neither can I.”

lotor, both as himself and under the guise of his cousin valor, began traveling galar in april, a few months after ursula / @heartists​ was arrested. in september, shortly after ursula’s return from jail, she went to galar to be with him. he will leave galar in late december, in order to challenge diantha / @diamontha​ in our current fight thread and “spend holiday time” with the derosiers (read: take advantage of the fact their guard is down to investigate them further).

he has an endorsement from king ghetsis of unova / @aeshmedai​. he won his endorsement in a battle with ghetsis; even though he lost, he still earned the endorsement because of how he treated and commanded his pokémon during the battle. chairman rose didn’t like him and because he was very outspoken about rose’s monopoly on pretty much every industry in galar, but there was no way he could deny the endorsement of a king of another nation.

he was in galar in order to investigate prince lear’s / @isleprized​‘s ties to the derosier family; during that time pasio was undergoing construction and lear’s lazy ass was only making occasional trips from galar to pasio to oversee it. for months, however, he was unable to find anything incriminating, making him believe that he was following a false lead.

he was going to bring his whole team over to galar and only catch, like, a few new pokémon. however, galar prohibits any pokémon who are not in their wild dex from entering; his lucario, his talonflame (half noivern), his rotom and his aegislash were permitted to enter. technically, his zoroark laika should have been allowed to enter too since it was half ninetales. but chairman rose knew exactly what a bitch that pokémon was to defeat in battle, and personally denied them entry.

prior to going to galar he wasn’t really the type to catch tons and tons of pokémon. he obtained his core eight (aegislash, serperior, zoroark, rotom, lucario, garchomp, sylveon and espeon) very early on and just stuck with JUST those eight for pretty much his entire life, believing that strong bonds with very few pokémon is the key to winning. but now that he’s in galar he’s opened up his roster quite a bit, and has discovered the joy of making many more friends.

he believed that chairman rose was evil and corrupt from the start and wanted to find out the truth about him. however, his pokémon encouraged him to let the galar protags deal with it and focus on the person he came here to scope out: lear. i do think, though, since the galar protags are young and he thinks ten-year-olds should have a few more years of innocence before trying to stop evil teams, he would try to offer them at least some help. 

he viewed the gym challenge and champion cup as a mere distraction from all the corruption that was undoubtedly going on in galar, and originally was not going to participate in it. he realized that he needed a reliable way to gauge the strength of his new pokémon as he was training them, and so participated in the challenge to test them out…not to mention, he knew his participation in the gym challenge would distract chairman rose and lear right back; it would mask his true intention for being in galar. his jersey number is 7, the most magically powerful number.

in mid-december, he participates in the champion cup with only his new pokémon and makes it to the finals. however, he is narrowly defeated by the galar protagonist.

he tracks down leon and manages to defeat him in a friendly battle. leon tells him that even though he has a lot of growing to do as a person, he can tell that lotor is skilled and his heart is in the right place. leon gives him a charmander--one of his charizard’s own young and a sibling to the ones he gave hop and the galar protag--out of respect. he is definitely going to regret his decision when he sees that charmander being trained to burn down billionaires’ mansions.

he tried to warn @ofglimmerwood​‘s bede about chairman rose being a shady character from the very beginning. out of his love for rose, bede didn’t believe him and was in fact quite angry with him, but then lotor turned out to be correct. the two of them become close friends, with lotor supporting bede through his attempts to cope with rose’s abuse. in sylvie’s words, they’re the kind of friends who jokingly call each other bitch/bastard; in my words, bede is one of the very few people that can joke about stereotypes with lotor without him ripping their head off.

Klance Pokemon Au

In the region of Altea Lance is a brand new trainer about to start his pokemon journey 

Keith is also a trainer starting new 

Lance and Keith both go to get pokemon 

They get Eevees from Professor Coran and Shiro, the champion of the region is there to wish Keith good luck  

Lance gets jealous, challenging Keith to a battle 

Keith wins 

Both boys have a strong connection with their Eevees and keep them by their sides at all times 

Lance and Keith head to the first gym which is located inside the trainer school 

First Lance battles against the top students of the school, James, Kinkade, Ina and Nadia 

He then meets Pidge, one of the Elite Four, who is there to visit her dad 

And after beating Sam, Pidge congratulates Lance on his skills and compares him to Keith who had arrived before him 

The next gym is the ground type gym lead by Shay 

Here Lance meets Hunk, another of the Elite Four there to see Shay and examine the rock psychic type pokemon Balmystal 

While there Lance spots a couple of Team Galra grunts who pick a fight with him, though it comes to nothing 

Before leaving Shay offers Lance one of two evolutionary stones, mentioning that Keith had already taken the fire stone 

Lance picks up the water stone but pockets it, not wanting to use it 

Next Lance heads to the grass gym run by Ryner 

But Ryner is not at the gym 

She is trying to deal with Team Galra who have taken over the town hall lead by Sendak

Lance joins the fray with Ryner and Pidge and soon Keith shows up to help with his newly evolved Flareon 

After they defeat Sendak Keith heals Lance’s pokemon and Lance admits that they are a good team 

Lance then goes on to beat the gym and head on his way to the underwater town and battle the Gym leader there, Luxia 

Lance travels along a snow covered pass to get to the next gym but runs into Allura, the third Elite Four member, Shiro and Keith on the way 

He throws a snowball but it accidentally hits Shiro 

He apologises explaining it was meant for Keith before getting hit in the face with another snowball 

“Heh, like that?” 

Keith’s snowball provokes Lance and they have a battle 

After the battle ends Lance’s eevee evolves into Glaceon 

Lance couldn’t be happier and is thrilled that Keith looks impressed too 

At the next town Lance battles the bug type gym leader Baujal after Allura and Shiro have a meeting with the leader about what to do with the Team Galra situation 

The next Gym on the list is run by Matt, Pidge’s older brother 

But his fighting type gym is currently dedicated to the effort against Team Galra who have kidnapped some leading scientists, including Sam 

Lance heads off and battles Hagar who ultimately demands that the team retreat, freeing the scientists 

Matt thanks Lance and offers a battle to him so he can continue on to the next gym 

He arrives at the next gym to find the leader missing 

After looking around Lance finds the dark type gym leader Krolia speaking to her son who turns out to be Keith 

A frustrated Lance challenges Keith to a battle and Krolia is impressed by his skills and returns to the gym ready for Lance to battle 

At the end Krolia offhandedly mentions the chemistry between Keith and Lance when they battle 

After that Lance is stopped by Professor Coran who drags him to a meeting with Shiro, Hunk, Allura, Pidge, the final Elite Four member Romelle and… Keith 

Coran quickly talks about the fight against Team Galra, revealing information about Haggar, the evil psychic type user and the leader of the team, Zarkon 

Here we’re introduced to Zarkon’s plan to take over the region by using advanced technology powered by the Balmystals Hunk was observing earlier 

He talks about how important the group are in the effort and thinks that they share a special connection due to their pokemon, revealing that each of them have a different eeveelution all born of the same litter 

Keith and Lance with Flareon and Glaceon respectively 

Hunk with Jolteon, Pidge with Leafeon, Allura with Sylveon and Romelle with Espeon 

Shiro with Umbreon 

And finally Coran with Vaporeon 

Lance has to admit that despite having only met these people several times he does feel quite close to them 

He promises to do all he can to help and is rewarded by an amazing grateful smile from Keith 

With this weighing on his mind Lance heads to the last gym run by psychic type leader Lotor 

Lance defeats him but their conversation is interrupted by Romelle, Keith and Krolia who reveal that Lotor is a part of Team Galra 

Lotor and Lance fight again 

After Lance wins Lotor laughs and reveals that by now his team have put together the machine that will call a legendary pokemon which will help them to dominate the whole region 

The group rush to Diabazaal, the city where the machine is and meet up with the rest of the Elite Four 

They witness Haggar harnessing the power of the unwilling Balmystals in the machine 

Suddenly all the eeveelutions are dragged into the machine and lights blind the group 

When the lights fade a new pokemon is before them 

Voltreon 

The legendary pokemon still bares the connection to its trainers, however, and turns on Team Galra, destroying enemies 

Everybody is fighting and Lance takes on Zarkon as Keith takes on Hagar 

The team is defeated and everyone celebrates

 Keith and Lance hugging before realising what they are doing and jumping back awkwardly 

Allura and Romelle revert the machine and Voltreon separates back into the eeveelutions each one greeting their owner joyfully 

Finally threat free, Lance gets the go ahead to take on the Elite Four at the Castle of Lions 

He becomes champion and walks outside into a meadow of Juniberry flowers to see Keith waving to him holding a picnic basket 

The sit together and laugh until they fall back onto the grass next to one another 

Keith kisses him softly and they bask in the peace and promise of the future

To anyone who’s curious Lance’s final team was Sharpedo, alolan ninetales, Gallade, Flygon, Luxray, Glaceon and Keith’s was  Zoroark, Lucario, Flareon, Sandslash, Seviper, Mimikyu. Just a little fun fact.

ok here’s this. pokemon au ramble. because this week has just been me loving my ocs but bass boosted. under the cut!! this post will be REALLY long mainly because of the teams sorry!

pokemon au is pure bc no deaths or rlly bad things happen

buggy is a trainer who went on the pokemon journey for fun and as a coming-of-age kinda thing(also because he may or may not have burnt his house down with a litwick), but kinda stopped getting gym badges half way and decided to settle down and just take the road casually. he settled down with apoccy and they both run a little pokemon sanctuary and care for pokemon that aren’t able to go back to the wild or have some little quirk (for example a litwick that cant keep itself lit easily). he likes battling for fun rather than for glory, and when his rival (farrow, obvs) was like “ha im gonna beat u and become the champion and ur not” he was like “i mean ok have fun!” which makes farrow pissed. he’s a guy who really cares about pokemon’s feelings and basically got back into action from pokemon santuary-ing and fought against the coven (the bad guy team) to stop them from hurting anyone.

- Lulu (chandelure) (his absolute baby and child)

- Fluffy (ampharos) (he named it fluffy when it was a mareep but then it evolved a bit and it wasnt fluffy anymore. its name is still fluffy tho)

- Big Boy (pelipper) (he’s a big ocean enthusiast but can’t swim and is a bit afraid of the water, so he uses pelipper to navigate over it and help him fish)

- Ellis (sylveon) (he wanted him to be a flareon but he loved them a lot and he ended up becoming a sylveon but buggy still loves him 100%)

- Musha (musharna) (musha helps him go to sleep easier and stay awake better as well, it’s basically his service pokemon ahghjhdjkf. she’s usually floating by his side!)

i think mendel would be a pokemon professor bc he studies pokemon. how he was even trusted enough to hand out pokemon to small children is a mystery, but gene takes care of most of the friendly stuff with handing u ur pokemon and stuff, mendel just does the research. later on it’s revealed that mendel is part of the region’s bad guy group, the coven! (>:3cc) their goal is to fuse multiple powerful pokemon together into the perfect pokemon that is able to beat everything and everyone else, in a combination of every type in existence. (Idk if this is the plot of any game bc i dont remember the plot of any game past pokemon b/w honestly) eventually the protag gets them to not fucking destroy everything and befriend the big boy pokemon (juggy, but like pokemon) and the coven disbands their group and just live life as normal people not criminals bc pokemon verse is best verse

team: - Juggy (sivally) (idk shit about sivally or the sumo plot but it looks like a fusion pokemon and its cute so like um there we go ig. in the actual au itd probably be a completely new pokemon but im lazy)

- Cofagrigus (obvious reasons. if i didnt want to keep this au pure i wouldve mentioned he still grave digs)

-Mimikyu (shut up its cute)

- Flabebe (flowere) (”oh what a pretty flower, it will be great to work on. oh no its a pokemon. guess its my child now”)

- Arbok (its a snake he loves snakes he gives it little pats on the head and rattatas)

- Claydol (it has a ton of red eyes and its black and red what more do you want from him. also he thinks it is cool and its psychic so like hhuiionnghgh yeah)

gene is a pokemon docdor (he heals those boys up for you and takes care of them) and helps mendel out in research since they both share an interest in researching pokemon!!! he doesn’t know that hes part of the bad guy team that snatches up pokemon and doesn’t question any weird things he decides to research about until like the end. he’s really nice and’ll probably catch up to you along your journey just to see how you’re doing, check up on you, and give you cool stuff like the master ball n stuff. he has a big greenhouse where he grows berries and’ll give you some as gifts along the way. he battles you occasionally to see how strong you’ve gotten and’ll heal your pokemon when your done, giving you tips. he likes hanging out around forests and little garden areas.

- Bitty (budew) (BABY BOY BABY! he loves them sm) (it evolves into roserade later on but shhhshhh baby budew)

- Swanna (pretty birb!!) (helps him water the plants in the greenhouse!!)

- Ana (unfezant) (HE NEEDS ANA OK)

- Audino (mega) (he needs that healy pokemon it’s essential) (theyre his little helper)

farrow is the stereotypical rival guy tbh. with buggy he was like “im gonna be better than u” and buggy was like “stop bullying me” but then just “ok” so he got bored. with skuggy it was more competitive, and they even battled each other right at the victory road’s entrance to see who was better, but they never got to complete the elite 4 trial since the coven juggy shit happened and they basically had to team up temporarily to stop these guys. when all of that was done farrow got back to challenging the elite four and trying to become champion, but he’s still struggling and is trying to train his team to become better while skuggy went “eh i’m done that was fun tho” and gave up. farrow hates being seen as weak and wants to have the strongest team, but he still loves his pokemon even if he pushes them near the limit sometimes while all focused up on winning.

- Ally (linoone) (theres no possum pokemon and im mad but he likes ferrets too so) (or uh. long raccoon?) (either way he loves ally and she’s kind of a tank)

- Mittens (incineroar) (this was his starter, somehow, since he took the traditional trainer coming-of-age path and went to become the best.) (he loves his cat even if it did become....bipedal and buff??????) (They share the same big ego and victory flexing) (he rides on mittens’s shoulders sometimes or mittens carries him with arms in the air like a king)

- Rogue (liepard) (cate!!) (also it really fits him!!!) (he loves his thief cat and steals everyone’s items with it and makes them mad) (skuggy has cursed this cat out for stealing all his pokemon’s items at least twice before while both her and farrow looked on grinning smugly)

- Jasper (noivern) (i associate farrow with bats a lot, i think he likes bats now) (big fuckig boy who farrow flies on and farrow really likes battling with) (when farrow is out travelling and is tired and it’s late but he can’t find anywhere to stay, jasper shields him and makes whats basically a mini tent with his wings around him)

- Doggo (houndoom) (Farrow named him doggo as a joke but it stuck) (Fire dog with evil aesthetic! Farrow loves this) (He’s a good dog and farrow pats him for doing good work. he sniffs out berries and items for him on the road and is like his guard dog.)

- Snippy (gliscor) (another bat babey) (i might change it but idk) (it’s a sneakey boy) (he is also a tank and poisons everyone’s pokemon) (farrow accidentally gets stung by him like twice a week)

skuggy is a trainer who set out on the pokemon journey as a means to get out of his shitty house and family, collecting pokemon to help defend himself, but ended up really loving pokemon (especially bug types) and trying to take on a few gyms while he was at it. eventually he met farrow and it became kind of like a little race to see who can get the most gym badges first, giving him a motivation to travel the region and take on the elite 4. after the juggy fiasco he got a bit tired of fighting and decided he valued his pokemon a lot since they defended him and helped him fight back so he said “yknow what im gonna take a break from our race thing, im just gonna find somewhere to finally stay and chil out” while farrow was shaking the elite four’s door like “LET ME IIIIIN”. he’s kinda chill now and is thinking about going back and trying to fight the 4 someday, but for now he’s just a guy who catches bugs. he and gene hang out sometimes and go into forests n stuff. he’s still a butcher in this world ig. mans gotta make some money

team:

- Clove (scolipede) (his first pokemon, he caught it and went with it, but got really attached really fast) (she is his baby and he made it so far with her by his side and is really proud of both clove and himself for getting this far) 

- Big Tony (armaldo) (he found a fossil pokemon and kept it since it’s rock type and can help ward off fire types, which is a big weakness of his team, but he ended up loving big tony too. i know theyre supposed to be like 4 foot 9 but please imagine big tony as a BIG boy that skuggy can ride on its shoulders and back to get around.)

- Babie (ribombee) (he caught this thing and said “this is the cutest shit i’ve ever seen.” went on to destroy dragon types and be the best bee ever.) (actually it’s pretty weak but skuggy believes in them)

- Toaster (heracross) (heracross was too cute for skuggy NOT to catch. it’s the powerhouse. this boy rips thru pokemon likes it’s nothing. unless it’s a fire or flying type. then it dies.) (it likes to f i t e and shares skuggy’s quick temper, because u know what they say, like pokemon like trainer)

- Big old boy (stoutland) (this was also one of the first pokemon he’s ever caught and it was really strong, defended him well and was kind of like the tank of the team, so he kept it. he likes sleeping on its back, and sometimes it has to remember it isn’t a tiny dog anymore because it tries to jump at skuggy to greet him and he gets fucking smashed.) (hes a very good boy, he’s very fluffy, and skuggy loves him so much and owes him his life)

- Jeff (swadloon) (skuggy loves his emo-looking son.) (ever since he beat depression in the dick he just cant help but see himself in swadloon) (but swadloon is happy, just very comfy and grumpy) (swadloon loves skuggy and skuggy loves swadloon) (i mean just look at him) (it’s perfect for skuggy)
