Shyna’s Summer Commissions

I know I can’t work on a lot with a ton of WIPs that I have, so I will have 10 openings for now so that I don’t overwork myself, and I will keep doing so throughout this summer, which means this will get over by 31st August, 2023. It really is easier to find red flag seme (makes sense since the word means “to attack” or “to be on the offence”) but the way authors/ artists depict uke characters have been changing as well ~ I currently don’t have access to my computer, so I’ll just list the titles I have in mind and update if I have any additions next week (ish). The uke in this title is scheming something (I didn’t stick around long enough to find out) and you can consider him a tad manipulative. There’s crime and investigation and you might find it more intriguing than me! On Lezhin.

Pornographer + Pornographer Playback + Mood Indigo (Maki Marukido): All three are in Manga Planet’s (Futekiya) library. The main character Kijima is an author, and while Pornographer (Playback is the continuation) focuses on him and Haruhiko, Mood Indigo is Kijima becoming an author and his relationship with his editor. I suggest you read Pornographer first and then read Mood Indigo for better context! Kijima will frustrate you to the max skcjdnjc.

A Lotus Flower In the Mud (Tamekou): This is not just a red flag uke but a red flag all over fkfnfj. Be mindful of the tags before you go in!

The King of Home Cooking (Lee Hyun-joo): The uke in this is one of the most frustrating characters I’ve ever read, he’s so unlikable and remains that way until the very end and that’s kinda why I like this series xD It has a very interesting theme as well, highly suggested! Can be read on Tappytoon.

I will try to mix the medias as best as I can, but it will be mostly anime, so I hope nobody is to disappointed. No order to the list because I'm not picking a favorite child:

1. Naruto

I think I've said it before but I never get tired of this show. If I hit a roadblock I will just rewatch some episodes and feel better. Naruto is such a sunshine character, i couldn't imagine a world without the show, since it followed me through my childhood.

2. Yu-Gi-Oh franchise

The first anime I've ever watched has to me on this list. It got me hooked on anime, and I think this is why I love it so much.

3. Merlin

I love Merlin since I've first seen it. The characters were so fun to watch and it was such a good adapation of the legend that I brought all the dvd.

4. House of night book series

I read the books early on and i have to say that the series got weeker the more books came out, but the first three books I read in one sitting. All the characters were so loveable and I liked the element thing they had going on.

5. Marvel movies

I can't really pick a favorite here, because most of them are amazing. I started the movies because of friends and I love them so much, because of the memories I have of the people I love. It was a tradition to watch ever new movie together up until endgame and it was a wild ride.

6. 9-1-1 franchise

Started of rather small but became huge after a while. I really liked the buddie dynamic from day one and it became the first fandom I wrote english fanfics for. Really adore the community and dedication they have.

7. Sport animes (Knb, Sk8, Free, Haikyuu etc.)

When animes get a couch potato interested in sports they are doing something right. I never cared for basketball but after Knb I started looking up NBA teams and the rules for it. Did I start playing? No, but I watched some games and found a good topic to talk about with my uncle xD

[24.05.19] Haikyuu Movie Review

FINALLY!

I initially thought I'd be able to watch the movie online when it dropped back in February, but none of the usual suspects were uploading the damn movie, so I was dying trying to avoid spoilers online, but I'm glad I managed to until it was finally revealed to be showing in Korea!

Let me tell you, as a multilingual person, there is no bigger brain-fuck than watch a movie in a second language with subtitles in your third, but considering Haikyuu is my favourite anime of all time, I just couldn't wait anymore.

So, after such an arduous wait, was the movie actually worth it?

HELL YEAH!

Heads up, I've written this without any spoilers, as I also went into this without reading the manga (intentionally.)

Intially, I, like many other fans, was disappointed that the movie was ,in fact, a movie rather than a 5th season, but after watching it, I totally understand why they decided to do it this way. If they'd done it as a series of episodes, it ran the risk of being too slow-paced, which was one of the major criticisms of the 4th season.

The pacing of the movie was perfect - the right level of slow emotional flashbacks to add context without being too repetitive of past seasons, while still being fast-paced and action-packed throughout the game.

I also loved the unique perspective they gave in this movie, it's something they've never done to this extent throughout the anime, and honestly, something I haven't seen in other anime I've watched. The chaotic energy really made you feel like you were more than just a spectator and the disorientation made everything so much more tense - I LOVED it. (I honestly wanted to watch the whole movie again there and then just to experience that part again.)

One thing I've always loved about Haikyuu is the ability of the writer to make you appreciate just how hard these kids are working, and the background and character growth throughout the movie honestly left me teary-eyed at the end - the character development continues to be one of my favorite parts of this anime. There's honestly so much I want to say about this but due to spoilers, I'll have to hold back for a while until the screenings have taken place worldwide. Maybe I'll write a part 2 after additional viewings.

Finally, let's talk about the ending. Man. This was an interesting experience for me because Nekoma is actually my favorite team LOL but of course, as viewers, we can't help but root for Karasuno. Every point and every play was bittersweet but nothing hit as much as the ending, rather than any overwhelming sense of joy for the winner, it was more that sinking feeling of 'oh, it's really over? Just like that?" I imagine this is how the losing time would feel in every game, you always want to believe there's another chance, or that the end isn't really the end yet, it was very surreal.

The best parallel I can draw is the sinking feeling I had when Karasuno first lost to Aoba Josei. Yet at the same time, because of the growth of all the characters, it was still a beautiful ending.

Ultimately, it was everything you'd expect from Haikyuu, I laughed, I cried, I fought back screams in the theatre XD I really do want to reassure anyone who thinks the movie replacing a season will be lackluster - it was anything but! I hope you enjoy the viewing and I'd love to hear your thoughts after.

AH THIS SKSSK I HAVE SO MANY HCS FOR HIM SINCE. Okay just a brief Haikyuu moment. I started watching Haikyuu since 2014 when I was a kid in a Filipino dub, I wasn't familiarize by the characters. I only know Hinata and Kageyama that one time around. I got to watch it again when it was 2020. Cute and wholesome thing I dragged my little brother and my mom to watch it with me. They love it! 🥺😭💜 My family knows I'm into anime so they really support me (Lowkey I think mom loves Hinata like who wouldn't!?)

Okay so the headcanons. Our dynamics are the short × tall couple. Though Tsukki is salty and a tsundere sometimes. Miharu is also a tsun too but can be witty if that makes sense? They're academic rivals to lovers or frenemies to lovers troupe! Tsukki and Miharu met when she is on the other block of the classroom they are the same class year as the first years (but their age gap is that Tsukki is more older than her by a year). Tsukki was familiarized by her when she got into as the third manager of Karasuno, Miharu doesn't want to at first she was dragged only by Yachi cause she doesn't know someone yet.

When Tsukishima faced Miharu as the new third manager after Yachi spent there for a week or so. It took for her to decide, Yachi was a bit bummed to wait not until Kiyoko allowed Yachi to join in. He was like "Ah... the so called Google girl I heard from the neighboring class? What a surprised~" in a sarcastic cocky remark. I guess that I should say that's how it went so far? But yeah

I'm guessing a lot of people want to know about this. Em, I'm going to go ahead and say there will be major character deaths, but not the ones you expect. In my cranium, there's going to be two big bits of confrontation; the ship (which we all knew was going to happen) and the final big battle (debating whether to write this properly, or to pan over it and hit the aftermath). So there will be loads of intense things that will lead to some major character injury too but, fear not, I'm not cruel enough to axe off extremely important characters (looking at you Cameron) but I can't say any more because of spoilers!

2. Well that's an easy question because bestie and all around amazing idea creator @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie came up with the idea of the humans leaving Pandora and never coming back, and then mentioned Eywa blessed Spider and my brain went 'huh good idea mine now'. And I was already looking for something more to write about Spider because the inspiration muse has had me by the throat since January and isn't letting go.

3. Good question!! I will always write fanfiction, even when I've published my original ideas because it's an amazing creative outlet and a great way to practice new ideas. Bestie @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie came up with an ikran racing au because of an ask I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) and again my brain just went yes so that might be in the works after ftnadol. But at the moment there isn't anything concrete, but when something comes I'm sure it'll whack me upside the head XD

4. Oooooo other fandoms. Well Stranger Things is a big love of mine (I actually have a Steve x Male OC fic which has been gathering dust which incorporated Irish Mythology that I need to resurrect), as is Star Wars, and Umbrella Academy, and Marvel, gosh there's loads to count up. In terms of what I'd like to write for, maybe dipping my toes into Percy Jackson? Because of the TV show? OR! Spider verse because Miles is my boy. I'm not entirely sure though because I never quite know until an idea does suddenly pop into my brain. Haikyuu might be something to try, but who knows! Certainly not me~

5. Ooooo interesting well! If you didn't know I play two instruments; harp and violin, so music is a massive part of my life. I teach swimming some evenings, and absolutely love to do it recreationally. I game, and am very excited for Spider-Man 2. I'm also self teaching myself korean, which is very fun and interesting because I'll be able to understand half the music I listen to XD of course, this is also whilst writing up a storm every week!

Top 10 fanfics, huh? Coincidentally, I have written 10 fanfics so that's my top 10. You gotta love your babies, right? XD But jokes aside, I don't think I've read enough that I would have 10 fanfics to share. I just recently started reading fanfics again, and my taste is... shall we say not written by many. Like I have to scroll 5-10 pages before I can find one. And with smaller fandoms, there's basically none. T_T

But here are some that I enjoyed reading a lot and still remember to this day despite reading a few years back:

An Eye For An Eye by dgalerab (The Umbrella Academy) - the first season of TUA was a total cliffhanger that I had to find a fanfic that would satisfy my cravings and this is the best TUA fanfic that caught my attention and I patiently subscribed to until the author finished it.

Strategize by princeoftheskies (Haikyuu!!) - This one has an original character added to the story. I read this fanfic many many years ago. I was so entrailed by the story that I couldn't stop reading it. I kept telling myself just one more chapter until I finished it and then it was already morning. I also failed to study for one of my final exams back then. Yes, I prioritize anime sometimes over important matters. XD

Hearts in Motion by BubblySage (Daiya no Ace x Oofuri Crossover) - this one features relationships: Miyuki x Sawamura & Abe x Mihashi. I am usually not reading fanfics with ships but if it's non-smut and the plot looks interesting, I sometimes give it a try. And I'm so glad that I did with this one. I also have a DnA x Oofuri story at the back of my head that I've always wanted to write. I always try to imagine what would happen if Sawamura & Abe and Mihashi & Miyuki become batteries instead. And this fanfic managed to give me what I am looking for.

And that's about it. I am trying to look for KRNKS fanfics but since it's such a tiny fandom, I couldn't find my preferred fanfic (non-smut and no slash because I want the characters to be just like me - aromantic and asexual XD). I probably would be looking at JJK fanfics too (Dad Nanamin & Son Yuuji AU), so if there's any you can recommend, feel free to send me a message! I would love to read them. ^^

As for my url, there is a story behind it. This has been my URL since I created my Tumblr account. I was still in high school back then. I read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown and I was fascinated by anagram. I wanted to create an anagram out of my real name but mine is only 5 letters so there's not much to go on. So what I did is find a word where all the letters of my real name are found. I literally searched for the word in a dictionary. lol And then I found the word artless which means lacking art but another meaning said without pretense, skill, or finesse. I thought it best describes me so I chose it. I just added the word 'apparently' because I needed another word that has the letter 'y' and it sounds nice. XD There's a chuuni feel to the name considering the story behind it but I still use it anyway. I am, as a matter of fact, quite attached to this name. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Haikyuu! Headcanon: His different types of kisses

Note: MUAH. I’m posting this first because I’m too heartbroken with the draft that I lost. So, at least please enjoy this one first, my Haikyuu peeps :D

Warnings: not proofread, fluffy

Characters: Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Kageyama, Hinata, Tsukishima, Kuroo, Kenma, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Kyotani, Bokuto, Ushijima

Daichi

First Kiss: Soft and careful. Like he’s scared to break you, or scared that he might ruin things. Or just scared he’s a bad kisser. He isn’t, just so you know.

Months after: Still soft, but less careful and more sure of himself. He finally believes that you adore his kisses. 

Years after: Does not hesitate to kiss you anymore. He does it whenever he feels like it without thinking too much. It’s sweet, just like he is.  

Sugawara

First Kiss: A mix of sweet and unsure. On the verge of ending too soon.

Months after: 100% soft and sweet like cotton candy. The type that comforts you. A fan of nuzzle kisses.

Years after: Will have his face pressed into the crook of your neck 24/7 if he could. But he can’t so he’ll steal kisses anytime the two of you are at arms length of each other.

Asahi

First Kiss: Jittery. Just full of nerves. 

Months after: Rarely initiates. You know he wants to kiss you when he stares at your lips for too long or just gets antsy around you.

Years after: Will still get shy in front of others. Mostly forehead kisses in public. The intimate ones are saved for home and alone time.

Nishinoya

First Kiss: Jittery. But in an excited kind of way. Will break into a smile right after it.

Months after: Loud smooches. He just loves showing off and people hearing it.

Years after: Cups your face with both his hands and still does a loud smooch. But now he does it anywhere and anytime and deadass doesn’t care if people look or comment about it.

Tanaka

First Kiss: Painful. Yeah. Like your faces or teeth just bump into each other.

Months after: Suddenly he’s a good kisser. The tilt his head a bit to the side passionate kind that makes you want to wrap your hands round him. 

Years after: Passionate x10 The wrap his arms around your waist and pull you close kisser. This one is a grip-his-shirt type of good.

Kageyama

First Kiss: Simple. Done with a blush on his face. A quick peck that happens when he walks you home.

Months after: Still simple. But now it’s more frequent. When you say hello or say goodbye. When you say thank you. When you say any compliment.

Years after: Looks simple, but when no ones looking he’ll kiss you on the lips and it doesn’t feel simple. He’s learned how to put desire into it, not just on his lips but by the way his hands grip your waist.

Hinata

First Kiss: Close-eyed and hopeful. Even if it was just a brief brush it sends him into Lala land. 

Months after: Looks at you with puppy eyes when he wants one. Pull you by the hand and casually land one on your lips type.

Years after: Sudden. Unexpected kisses. Everyone could be talking and discussing something and he’ll kiss you. It’ll just last a second but it was totally unpredictable and he does it A LOT.

Tsukishima

First Kiss: Like nothing even happened. Just his hand on your chin, tilting your face up and then...softness. Then it was back to your usual conversation.

Months after: Back hugs and neck kisses. Only in private. Never in public.

Years after: Still not a PDA person. But will show some signs of it. Forehead kisses in public are rare but it happens. And when it happens you can bet your ass someone from his team is going to tease him about it. 

Kuroo

First Kiss: Tilt your chin to meet his eyes and leans down with certainty, firm kiss. It’s like he’s done this before.

Months after: Still likes to hold your chin when kissing you. But now he’s the one demanding for it rather than giving it. You know what it means when he beckons you with his finger and his lips are slightly jutted out.

Years after: Kisses everywhere, mostly the neck. Yes even in public. I think he does it to show off sometimes but most of the time he just wants to.

Kenma

First Kiss: Did not know that it has happened until 10 seconds later. Will blush and will not mention it again.

Months after: Nonchalant. You think he doesn’t care about them but every time he tries to kiss you he’s dying a little inside from nervousness.

Years after: Relaxed, but usually only in private. The pull you to his lap and kiss your lips kind. After that, cuddles. 

Oikawa

First Kiss: Curious. Like he’s really wondering how your lips would taste like. It’s a full kiss, but gentle in its own ways because he’s trying to savour it.

Months after: Playful. Whenever he wants it, he does it and it’s never just a peck or a quick one. He means his kisses all the time. 

Years after: Likes to surprise you with back hugs, followed by peppery kisses on your jawline and ending right on your lips. It feels just like the first time, but better.

Iwaizumi

First Kiss: An in between of confident and unsure. Like he WANTS to do it but is just not sure if he should. Kiss ends up soft, barely there but right after it finishes he says he wants to try again.

Months after: The unsure part is gone. Now it’s just confident and full of love. He treats your lips like some type of treasure. He only really indulges in it when he thinks its the right moment. 

Years after: His kisses are like home. It’s frequent but not overly so, there’s still meaning behind all of it and it’s something automatic. 

Kyotani

First Kiss: It’s rough but not in a forceful way. Like a overwhelmed with nerves and overdoing it type of way. 

Months after: Has calmed down a little and doesn’t just mash his lips on yours. It’s actually gentle and he always turns your head towards his way with a hand on your cheek. 

Years after: The type that doesn’t really think about kissing you, but when he sees your lips and they’re especially glossy and ready for him, he’ll just dive in, even in front of people.

Bokuto

First Kiss: Giddy. It would happen suddenly. Like you’re just talking to each other and suddenly you’re stopped by his lips.

Months after: Is at the point of wondering if kissing you every second is too much. So he’s restrained, but when he DOES get to kiss you it’s like fireworks on his lips every single time. 

Years after: Showy. The twirl you around and kiss you type. Smooches everywhere. Both cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, lips. You betcha he doesn’t care who’s watching. 

Ushijima

First Kiss: Stiff and...it feels like he did it because “It’s what couples do,” 

Months after: You realize he kisses you because he wants to. You know this because he actually does it in front of his teammates and he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. 

Years after: Sometimes when he does an awesome spike he might look at you and you know he’s saying ‘I deserve a kiss for that,’ the thing is, he gives you that look for nearly everything he does now XD

Karasuno boys when you wander away

Characters: Tsukishima Kei, Dachi Sawamura, Asahi Azumane, & Kageyama Tobio, all with a Fem!Reader

Warnings: probably some swearing but nothing besides that :) 

A/N: So this is somewhat based on my IRL relationship haha. I’m very bad with just walking away or getting distracted by something and always worry my partner xD thought it would make for some cute headcanons! Let me know if you’d like more!

Haikyuu Masterlist

Tsukishima had only looked away for a moment. He walked towards a fresh fruit stand, glancing at the peaches and wondering if you wanted one to snack on on the way home. He glanced back and his lips parted to ask you, but you were no where to be seen.

His lips turned into a frown, trying not to give into that small moment of panic as his eyes scanned the outside market. You were no where to be found nearby. His heart pulsed harder against his chest as his mind reminded him of that news story of girls going missing in public places. Tsukishima pushed through people, giving half-assed apologies as he thought about you being dragged away and no one noticing. How had he not noticed? How would he find you? What should he do now?

His heart raced as he continued to look for you, giving out a small yelp when he felt someone grab his hand.

“Tsukki?” You were suddenly next to him, smiling innocently up at him. “Are you okay?”

The rush of relief that came with seeing you next to him was followed with frustration. “Idiot! Where did you wander off to?” He scolded, his hand tightening on yours.

“There was a puppy,” you admitted with slight embarrassment, smiling shyly. “I just gave him a couple of pats - he looked so lonely. Everyone was ignoring him,” you explained, nodding towards an older man who was dozing off on a bench. He had a leash in his hand and a large dog sat next to his feet, eagerly watching people was if begging for someone to pet him.

Tsukishima shook his head in disbelief, “You scared me for a dog? Moron,” he grumbled, pulling you further into the market. He didn’t want to be in such a big crowd right now.

You giggled, trying not to note the redness in his ears, “Aw I’m sorry Tsukki, I didn’t mean to scare you.” You tugged on his arm gently, trying to give him an apologetic smile but he kept looking away from you.

“Whatever, get yourself lost for all I care,” he pouted slightly and you tried your best not to laugh at how such a tall boy could act like a 4 year old.

“I’ll stay with you, promise. Won’t ever leave your side!” you insisted, clutching his arm and beaming up at him.

Tsukishima glanced at your smile, noticing it looked... almost playful? “What?” He raised an eyebrow, already knowing he wasn’t going to like the answer.

“You care about me,” you teased, reaching up to poke his nose playfully. “You were worried about me because you careeee about me.” You had expected him to pull his arm away, stomp off until you apologized for making fun of him.

But instead he just rolled his eyes, flicking your forehead gently, “Maybe just a bit.”

That surprised you just a little, your heart skipping a beat or two in response, “I am sorry, Tsukki, I didn’t think I went off that far. It just got really crowded,” you told him sincerely, squeezing his hand gently. “But lucky for me! You’re so tall so it’s easy to find you!”

Tsukishima scoffed some more but blushed anyways, feeling now like he had overreacted, “Whatever. You’re buying me a snack to make it up to me, idiot.”

“Mmkay!” You beamed, the two of you roaming the market together. Tsukishima pretended like he had completely forgotten the whole thing, but you noticed that he never let go of your hand that easily after that. And he always kept you close in crowded areas.

So yeah, maybe Tsukishima Kei really did care for you.

Daichi is a calm cool collected dude. Calm. Cool. Collected. It was as if he was chanting these words in his brain, eyes frantically trying to find you. CALM COOL COLLECTED, he desperately tried to remind himself. Everything is FINE.

But that still didn’t answer the question: where the hell could you have gone off to?

It was one of the first big matches that Daichi ever invited you too and the crowds were 10x bigger than anything you’ve been to. Daichi’s whole body trembled with the idea that you were completely lost and waiting for him to find you.

“I’m sure she’s alright, Daichi! Y/N’s probably just exploring,” Asahi clapped a hand onto his friend’s shoulder, though Daichi could tell he was nervous too.

“Stop being such worry-bums,” Suga insisted, smacking both of their arms. “Y/N can be as scary as the rest of us! No one would pick on her!”

You were fully capable of dealing with things yourself, Daichi knew this. But he felt a surge of protective energy anytime he felt you needed him. “I’ll be right back,” he mumbled to his friends, his feet quickly running around the gyms to try and catch a glimpse of you.

“Daichi!” Your voice made his eyes widen, darting around to try to find you. Suddenly, he was attacked with a full on jump hug, staggering backwards to keep them upright.

“Y-Y/N! Where’ve you been?” Daichi asked with a laugh, holding you tightly and trying to avoid showing you how nervous he was.

“Coach Ukai told me Hinata left his shoes in the bus so I went to grab it before the game! Shimizu-san and Yachi were both busy so I wanted to help!” You explained, smiling up at him while holding the little bag up for him to see. Your eyes flickered over Daichi’s for a moment, noting the slight blush on his cheeks and the way he couldn’t fully meet your gaze. You couldn’t help but let out a giggle, your lips turning into a little smirk, “Were you worried about me, Daichi?” You teased and laughed as his face turned even more red.

“Well I can’t win without my lucky charm on the stands,” he chuckled, ruffling your hair.

“Oh and I just thought you liked me,” Y/N shot back with a laugh. “Didn’t know it was just cause of your game.”

You turned on your heel, starting to walk back to the gym, Daichi following while stammering out a, “I-I do liked you!” He tried to laugh off his nerves, rubbing the back of his neck as he gave you a smile, “Don’t make me all nervous before a game, love!”

You two shared some more laughs as everyone warmed up, and just before you headed to the stands, you pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. Daichi tried to play it off cool but he was wobbly the whole walk towards the team and the group of boys just laughed, all slapping his back in pride. 

Unlike the Cap’n, Asahi is not calm, cool, or collected. I mean I think he’s cool but not in this sense LOL.

Asahi and you decided to have a picnic for lunch in a nearby park. But while he was setting up, you magically disappeared and Asahi felt all of his panic just intensify.

Did you? Leave him? To be on his own? Was this your way of breaking up with him?

No, Asahi tried to convince himself, you loved him. You guys had been together for almost a year now, that’s not how you’d end thins... is it?

Maybe you got lost? Did Asahi walk a little too fast to this spot? He knew sometimes you had a hard time keeping up with his long legs but he thought you had been holding his hand this whole time.

His eyes scanned the somewhat busy park. He couldn’t find you anywhere. His heart was starting to beat way too fast and his fingers were shaking while he tried to text the other third years to ask what the hell he should do.

Suga: LOL knowing Y/N she probably saw some cute chipmunk or something and stopped to take a photo of it

Daichi: don’t worry, Asahi, she’ll probably find you soon - you’re this gigantic dude in a park. I doubt she’d lose you

That didn’t help. Now Asahi was noticing how parents and kids were specifically avoiding him. His bottom lip pouted as he wondered just what he could do to seem less intimidating. Should he sit down? No, what if you were trying to see him? Sitting would only make it harder!

Just as he was considering climbing up the nearby tree to see the park from a higher distance, you popped out from some nearby bushes, holding a few wildflowers.

“Asahi?” You blinked in surprise, finding him trying to find a foothold on the tree. “Are we... eating in the tree?”

“Y/N!” The poor boy almost knocked his head on the tree when he turned around to see you, eyes widening. He immediately ran over to you and twirled you around in a hug, “God, you scared me!” 

You quickly apologized profusely seeing how nervous he was, “I’m sorry, Asahi! I saw some pretty flowers over there and thought maybe it would be nice to decorate our tablecloth with!” You kiss his nose and cheeks over and over again trying to get him to calm down (but really that’s just making him more flustered).

The two of you share a gorgeous meal together, and you spend the rest of the day with his head in your lap and you braiding his hair, intertwining some of the flowers you found. The two of you talked about everything and anything and Asahi made sure from that day forward, he could always spot you. Any time you guys weren’t holding hands or standing next to each other, everyone noticed that Asahi’s eyes would dart over to you every now and then, whether consciously or unconsciously. 

When he got home that night, he pressed the flowers you put in his hair in a book and kept them as a keepsake. And then gave them to you in a gift for your anniversary later.

Kageyama would start feeling panic and wouldn’t even know why. The game was starting soon and something just didn’t feel right. His muscles? No… he felt in tiptop shape. He stretched a little extra today too to make sure he wasn’t feeling stiff. His stomach? No, he made sure to have some food and milk a little earlier. And he wasn’t feeling nauseous so it couldn’t be that. His hands? No, they felt perfect in fact. He was so excited for this game earlier, he had felt the anticipation running to his fingers to just set the perfect ball. So why was he feeling so uncomfortable?

His eyebrows furrowed as he tried to think about what was making him feel different. His eyes scanned the crowd unconsciously before realizing what it was.

You weren’t standing up there with the rest of the Karasuno fans.

Where the hell were you?

His feet moved towards the gym doors before Ukai yelled at him, “Where the hell do you think you’re going, Kageyama? The game is staring soon!”

Kageyama’s eyes widened, noting the whole team watching him curiously. Why did Kageyama seem so nervous? He never seemed nervous.

“Don’t worry, Kageyama, with my spikes better than ever, we’re definitely going to win!” Hinata grinned, trying to lighten the tense air in the team.

“I’m not worried, just don’t be stupid on the court,” Kageyama replied, shrugging it off. But his eyes still scanned the stands. Where were you? You had said hello to the whole and wished Kageyama luck just a few minutes ago? So how come you weren’t standing up there with Coach’s friends and Yachi?

The whistle blew to indicate the game starting and Kageyama felt his stomach turn. Why was he feeling like this? You were probably fine so what did it matter?

You had been buying some milk from the nearby vending machines to make sure that Kageyama had some after his game. You knew that he had accidentally finished all the ones he had packed earlier and had been kinda crabby about it so you thought maybe it would cheer him up. You had stood in line for the vending machine for what felt like forever but it was all worth it knowing that you could throw the milk boxes into your lunch bag to keep them cool. Knowing Kageyama would be excited about it made you really happy.

As you walked back towards the gym, you could hear cheering. Your eyes widened as you realized that the game had already started and you ran towards the stands.

“Y/N! There you are!” Yachi’s smile looked oddly nervous. Not that she wasn’t normally nervous at these games, but this one seemed different. “I think something’s wrong with Kageyama.”

Your eyes shot down to the court, seeing how stiff Kageyama looked next to everyone else. They were patting him on the back, yelling “We’ll get the next one!” and Noya screaming, “BRING IT ON!”

“He was looking for you in the stands earlier I think,” Yachi told you with a small giggle, “He looked really nervous when he couldn’t see you.”

Your heart swelled slightly, wondering if Kageyama was off his game because he hadn’t been able to see you. “Kageyama!!” You yelled from the stands, cupping your hands around your mouth. The dark haired boy’s head shot up to look at you, a sense of relief growing on his face. “You can do it!!” You screamed some more, the people on the stands behind you yelling in support.

Even from far away, you could see his lips turn upward in a smile.

Alright, you both thought to yourself. Now we can get started.

Bokuto

We all know he is loud and we don’t even have to say it

You were usually the one who drives your daughter to school but today, you end up waking up late because a certain someone decided that you needed the extra sleep (yes he’s sweet but you have a meeting with the executives)

So you’ve now got two wonderful girls with Koutarou, they’re now 6 and 12 years old

“Koutarou don’t do anything weird, okay.” That was a fair warning for him but it goes right off his ear as soon as he zooms off because hE GETS TO DRIVE HIS PRINCESSES TO SCHOOL

Your youngest was the first he dropped off. He sent him off with a big smooch and an “I love you, little owl!” Your youngest shouted back an “I love you too!” to his daddy with a big grin before running off to her classroom.

The challenge came when he dropped off your eldest. Being in her school, your daughter doesn’t want everyone to see how much of a daddy’s girl she is so when Koutarou leaned in to kiss her on the cheek, she dodged

In a second, Koutarou’s hair deflated. Your daughter tried to reason, “Dad, not here. It’s my school!”

“Do you not love me anymore, baby owl? Have you found another guy to replace daddy?

“DAD, NO. You’re overreacting.”

“No, baby owl. You should kiss daddy when he wants one!” then he tries and leans in again but this time your daughter gets off the car and shuts the door on her father’s face leaving Koutarou to his despair

But alas, there’s a solution to it! Koutarou rolls down the window of his car and pops his head out and shouts “I LOVE YOU BABY OWL! HONEY BUNCH! MY SWEET LITTLE PUMPKIN!”

Your daughter is good as dead right then as the children around stared at her father, chuckling. Others even taking a video of what was happening. Your poor daughter is as red as a tomato as she bolted further into her school grounds.

“DADDY WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU EVEN IF YOU DON’T LOVE HIM BACK”

“Mom, save me.”

The video of that incident instantly graced the internet, going viral in under 24 hours. It was safe to say Koutarou is not allowed to drive your daughters to school again. But he’s happy he got his kiss from his eldest now.

 Oikawa

Another dude here that is sweet with his daughter. Literally pours his heart to his sweet little angel and gives her everything.

Sometimes, you fade into the background with these two.

One Saturday, your daughter came with company. To your horror, it was a guy named Hiro. Although decent looking, you don’t like the fact that she is engaging in romance as early as her age.

But Tooru thinks otherwise, “Oh? My sweet little angel has inherited my charm!”

Your daughter blushes at her father’s comment and pulls her company into the backyard. Settling on the bench swing in there.

It was fine and everything’s going good with him and her company until Tooru’s voice rang from inside.

Your daughter turned and found his dad cruelly comfortable leaning on the ledge of the window overseeing the backyard, toying with a rose that she recognized were the ones you bought to put in the vase at the living room

As if once is not enough, Tooru repeated the verse again. Your daughter felt like bURSTING

She put her face into her palms, furiously blushing. She turned to Hiro who is now awkwardly laughing at the sight of your husband. She tells him, “Oh my gosh, I’m sorry for the existence of my father. Don’t mind his presence.”

“OuCH! Y/N-chan! Why’d you do that?! I was only entertaining our visitor! Come here watch them with me.”

HA you bet Daichi is the model father but yes, you are partially right. He’s pretty tight with some things but is still sweet. But it doesn’t mean he doesn’t got some pretty embarrassing moments

You guys are in the mall for the weekend, shopping for new clothes as winter is approaching. You were separated from them when you followed a saleslady to find your size of the shoes you wanted

Your daughter was on her phone while her dad stood by her, shopping bags in his hands. He peeked into her phone a few times, finding her chatting with a guy. When she giggled to herself, it was peak protective father mode for Daichi “Sweetie, who are you talking to?”

“Oh. Just a friend, dad.”

Daichi scoffed to himself, skeptically glaring at the back of his daughter’s head. Thinking, “How could you lie to me, sweetie?”

Moments after, the father and daughter pair turned their heads to a guy’s voice calling out your daughter’s name. Daichi grew rigid as soon as he saw the boy

The boy, completely oblivious of Daichi’s mood, ran up to your daughter with arms spread. It was to Daichi’s horror that his daughter came into the guy’s arms and hugged him back. Daichi let them exchange a few words after but his aura is just hard to shake off with him staring hard at the guy. He soon bids goodbye, bowing at Daichi

But before he could go farther, Daichi talks to your daughter, rather LOUDLY.

“SWEETIE, I DON’T WANT YOU HUGGING RANDOM PEOPLE NEXT TIME” People around were already staring at them as Daichi continues his rant with a straight face

“Dad, geez, he’s a friend!”

“NEXT TIME YOU DO THAT THAT PERSON WILL MEET MY WRATH”

The next time your daughter had that friend over at your house along with some others, he was weirdly sweating and keeping very little space for himself

“Are you okay?” you asked the boy

“Ah, yes. Thank you, Mrs. Sawamura.”

Daichi smiled to himself while your daughter shook her head at the side in pure embarrassment

Atsumu has a big internet fanbase. He also keeps all his accounts active, especially his twitter. Your son blocked him in almost every platform with the exception of Instagram and Facebook for formality.

Atsumu is, rather, a supportive father to your son.

Example number one: once, your son posted a sad quote in Facebook and Atsumu commented with “Let’s have a boys’ talk later, buddy” your son deleted the post

When Atsumu came home that night he went straight to your son’s room knocking at his door. Your son was quick to reject his father, “NO DAD. THANK YOU BUT NO.”

The next one was when your son advertised Osamu’s onigiris with a picturesque post over at IG and the piss-haired twin didn’t think before he commented, “I can make better onigiris than Samu, buddy.”

You came home that night with about two days’ worth of rice on the kitchen and Atsumu wildly rapping at your son’s door. “YOU HAVE TO TASTE THIS BUDDY THIS IS BETTER”

A/N: Idk but somehow I’m addicted to write haikyuu characters at the ocean or at the beach in general xd

Somehow, the love of the ocean had been lost on you. It must have missed a generation. The rest of your family loved to be on the boat and surf and swim, but you just didn't. Growing up, you had just never been interested, instead choosing to sit in the sand, and now you were so intimidated by the water that the thought of going in made your heart race.

You had managed to keep it from your friends thus far, telling them that you were cold or wanted to finish your book or that you'd forgotten to wear your bathing suit. And it usually worked. For whatever reason, they just never seemed to question it.

Until Atsumu tried to take matters into his own hands.

You guys had been out on the boat for most of the day, everyone drinking beers and swimming and sunbathing on the deck.

"C'mon, (Y/N)!" Atsumu called out, his hair dripping water as he pulled himself onto the boat. You never come swimming with me." He pouted, sitting down next to you and pulling you up to be eye level with him. He wrapped an arm around your waist and nestled his face into your neck, planting kisses on your warm skin.

"Not right now, Tsumu," you say, running your fingers through his wet hair, "I'm trying to read my book."

He pulls away to look at you, a smile on his face that only makes you nervous. In one swift move, he taking your book out of your hands and throws it across the deck. He's on his feet in an instant, grabbing you by the waist and hoisting you over his shoulder. He walks to the side of the boat, and you're pounding on the back of his chest, begging him to stop. He just laughs, blissfully unaware of the fact that not only do you hate the water, but you can't swim.

"Astumu, seriously," you plead, "please put me down." Your palms are sweaty and your hands are shaking, and you're trying your hardest to stop yourself from crying. He starts to throw you over the edge, so as a final hail mary, you yell, "Atsumu I can't swim!"

Everyone freezes. The laughing and talking stops and all attention goes to you. Atsumu takes you off his shoulder and places you in front of him. You wrap your arms around his neck, pulling yourself into him, needing to calm your breathing before you can even try to explain. He holds onto you immediately, rubbing circles into your back. You're sure he's confused, but you're also sure he can feel your heart beating out of your chest.

You finally pull away, stepping back and taking a seat on the deck. He sits down next to you, squeezing your knee. "I just," you start to explain, sighing, "I never had much interest in the water when I was little You look up at all your friends, listening intently. "And now I just feel so far removed from the ocean that I'm terrified to even try to go in."

"Why didn't you tell us?” Suna says finally. “Yeah, anyone of us could have helped you get more comfortable," Osamu adds.

"Nevermind the fact that if you ever fell in we'd have no idea you couldn't swim," Atsumu finally speaks up. You look over at him, the look on his face is soft and comforting. He reaches over and brushes some hair out of your face.

"I know," you say, shaking your head. "I should have told you, I'm sorry."

The group falls silent. Atsumu's hand goes back to your thigh, giving your leg a comforting squeeze. "Well," he says, "do you wanna learn now?"

"Oh, I don't," your heart starts to race again, "I don't know."

"Hey," Atsumu says, putting his fingers under your chin, making you look at him, "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you, okay? I won't even let go of you if you don't want me to."

You take a deep breath. You want to scream out no, absolutely not. But you know you need to do this. He's right if you had fallen in you'd be completely done for. So, before your fear can take over and answer for you, you just say, "Okay. I'll do it." You look at Atsumu, pointing a finger at him. "But if you let go I will kill you."

Everyone laughs, and you try to laugh along with them to calm your nerves. It helps a little, and Atsumu placing a kiss on your forehead definitely doesn't hurt. Atsumu jumps into the water, leaving you sitting on the edge of the boat, your toes dipping into the marsh.

"Don't be nervous," Aran says, which produces a chorus of encouragement from the rest of your friends as they sit next to you.

Atsumu swims over to tread water right in front of you. He reaches up and grabs onto your ankles. "You ready?" he asks.

"No," you smile, "but let's get it over with anyway."

He helps you slide into the water, grabbing into your waist as soon as he can. You're wildly nervous, but Atsumu's arms wrapped tightly around you make you feel infinitely better. He spends the next 15 minutes teaching you how to tread water, showing you how to properly move your arms and legs to stay afloat. You can tell it's a little hard for him to hold you up and also teach you, but he does it anyway, not complaining once.

“Okay, let me try on my own," you say, much to his, and your, surprise.

His eyes search your face. "Are you sure?" he asks.

"Yeah," you say, "I'm never gonna really learn if I don't try on my own." In truth, you're terrified, but you put on a brave face for your own sake.

"Alright," he sounds weary. But he says anyway, "You can do this, okay? Don't be scared. I'm right here if anything goes wrong." You nod, and he lets go, keeping his hands close to your waist. Your head nearly dips under the water, but you kick your legs harder and manage to keep yourself afloat. Atsumu smiles and the others let out a few cheers.

It doesn't last long, though, and you feel yourself losing some energy, slowly slipping further and further into the water. Atsumu's hands are on you in an instant, pulling you back up to the surface. He helps you get over to the boat, and Osamu and Aran reach their hands down to pull you back up to the deck.

Atsumu's arms are around you before you even see him get back onto the boat. "I'm so proud of you," he says, peppering your face with kisses.

It's pretty safe to say you still can't swim, but at least you're no longer petrified of the water.

I ramble about Abe because I love him

Below the cut because it's kind of long and very specific but I just had to write it out. <3

Can I just take a minute to explain how happy I am with Abe's English VA?

The first time I watched Big Windup I watched it subbed, because at the time I thought that was all that was available. I didn't know there was an English dub until I'd finished the first season (went on a rant about it, too). So before I dove into the second season I immediately rewatched the first with the English dub and to this day I am SO HAPPY that I did it that way. (I won't bore you with why because that's not what this post is about!)

Here's the thing. I had obviously gotten used to Abe's Japanese VA while watching it through the first time. And since he's my favorite character I was most excited to hear what he'd sound like in English. I had this idea in my head that he'd have a deeper, more serious kind of voice tone, based on who they'd gotten to play him in Japan.

Imagine my shock when GREG AYRES came out of Abe's mouth!

I loved Greg Ayers already; he voices a handful of characters in other anime I've seen (most notably Nishinoya from Haikyuu) and I really liked his voice before, but when I heard this light, boyish sound coming out of a character that I interpreted to be really serious it threw me a little at first. I was like, "Really? They chose HIM to voice ABE? That's...interesting."

What's even more interesting to me is how I've grown to adore Ayres' take on Abe's character. Again, I was used to him as Noya, who's this crazy positive ball of energy. But Abe is a more laid back kind of guy (until he gets riled up about something, usually concerning his impatience with Mihashi), so his lines are usually more standard and subdued than Noya's "LET'S GO LET'S GO LET'S GO" personality. But you know what? IT WORKS.

It is the craziest thing to me, but Greg Ayres as Abe WORKS in a way I cannot explain but am just so, so happy about. I love the life he gives the character, and honestly it's so funny to me to hear him yelling at Mihashi when he gets angry because it's so opposite of what I've heard from him in the past but he's GOOD AT IT.

It's also even more reason for me to wish they'd dubbed season two. Abe has SO MUCH GROWTH in that season that I'll never get to hear Greg Ayres' take on and it just makes me so sad because I love Abe so much.

God, I love Abe.

Anyway, I just wanted to ramble. After that anon asked me what I liked about the anime earlier I'm still sitting here thinking of all the little things, but this one is a bigger deal to me personally, so I wanted to share my thoughts. If you actually made it this far, kudos to you. XD

Haikyuu: Asahi tickle Headcanons!

Asahi, the gentle giant from Karasunos volleyball team. How can someone so big be so soft? Here are a few examples of just how soft this big ball of mochi can be~

Lee:

Asahi is a Lee. 99% Lee. He just loves the physical contact, reminding him of the strong bond he and his friends have.

Honestly, when it comes to tickles this man is like a big ol' puppy who wants belly rubs, though he's far to shy to actually ask for them. So his friends make sure to ask him at least every other day if he wants some tickle time. His burning red cheeks are all the answer they need.

As Ducky here informed me, Asahis most sensetive areas are his tummy and sides.

Most of the time, he will try and be still for his ler, that's the best way to get the best tickles.

Raspberries are his favourite. The way he twitches and giggles in anticipation is just pure, untainted gold~

He always has to have something to hug, since he can't stand seeing what's going on. Make sure to give him a hoodie, bag, a big plushie, anything that he can squeeze the life out of whilst you give him what he deserves.

He doesn't mind rough or soft tickles. Anything that gives him that sensation will do.

He won't talk much during his wrecking, his face buried to deep in whatever he's hugging. However, if you did want to hear his laughter better, you'd have to get someone to pin his arms up. Tag-team that big boi.

When attacking these areas his laughter is big and hearty. A little snort here and there too~

Another spot he's sensetive is his ears. If you're not a giant then you'll have to wait until he's sat down or make sure you can jump high enough to sneak a little puff of air into his ear.

Ear tickles make him squeak, yes squeak. He will scronch his neck and shoulders up like a little turtle hiding from a predator.

A great way to tickle this spot is whilst he's napping. Just a little whisp of air or even a feather if you have one on you. His sleepy giggles are too pure for this world and those who've heard them are blessed and should feel honoured.

This man is so easily flustered. Just a nose boop is enough to have him giggling and blushing.

Lots of head shaking, lots of leg flailing but other than that, he's a very well behaved Lee. 100/10 highly recommend~ 🧡

Ler:

Although Asahi is a Lee, that doesn't mean he won't give his friends an affectionate tickle or two.

Big hands. Big huuuuuge hands. And what they do? They tickle. Really, really... Gently. Yes, despite his huge hands he's incredibly gentle.

Too gentle. It's cruel how nice he is whilst he's being the ler. He doesn't even realise he's teasing you when he talks.

'Having fun?'

'Haha, that smile is precious.'

'Well that was an interesting sound.'

Of course it depends on who he's tickling and why. If it's Noya because he's being a little shit his choice of words are more along the lines of-

'Done being an ass now, gremlin?'

'You need to learn your lesson.'

But even then, he's still so gentle. Probably because he's worried he'll hurt those small people.

Issac Foster tickle hcs!

Warning, rough tickles/handling

Zacky boy doesn't even know what tickling is when you first meet him but after some time you finally manage to pluck up the courage to ask if he is, without fear of being stabbed.

"The fuck is that? Some kind of mental problem'?"

"That's the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. Of course I'm not."

Once you explain, you swear you can see the red glow of blush through his bandages.

Over time Zack learns that tickling can be used to get what he wants, or to make you suffer without having to brutally murder you! :D

Ler:

As a ler, Zack is a force to be reckoned with. Evil. If you're not comfortable with rough tickles, you do not want him to catch you.

He will give you a time limit to run, counting loudly with that dirty grin on his face. Usually three seconds, you know how he likes the chase.

Once he's had his fun chasing, he will pin you any way possible. His favourite method is sitting on your waist with your arms pinned under his thighs.

He will tell you not to smile, threatening to 'kill you' if you do. By kill he means wreck you harder.

His tickles are rough and rude. He wants to break you, make you beg and maybe even tear up if he's feeling especially cruel. Sadistic little shit.

He's full of teases too~

"Tickle, tickle, ya' little fucker. Should have run faster!"

"If you weren't such a crap victim we wouldn't even be in this situation!"

"Uh oooh, now you've gone and done it, shit head. Time to die~"

Que him mercilessly attacking your worst spot until you almost wet yourself.

After he's finished tickling you to near death, he will probably tussle your hair and watch you try to regain your composure. He isn't one to flee after a wrecking because he knows you wouldn't dare attack him.

He does know when to stop though, he knows you and what the signs are. He may be an asshole, but he'll always at least ask if you're okay. If he doesn't think you are, then he'll help you up and fetch you a snack or even wrap an arm around you comfortingly.

Lee:

Yes, believe it or not, this multi-murder-maniac has a Lee side. And when it surfaces, it's quite entertaining.

If Zack is in one of his rare, yet very intense, Lee moods, he will do everything in his power to get you to notice without actually saying anything. He's gotta keep up that scary guy aesthetic.

When in this mood, Zack will walk around with his arms over his head, put his feet in your lap, maybe pretend his checking his bandages by leaving his hoodie unzipped.

Lots of huffing and sighing too. Very grumpy. Not-so subtly staring at you out of the corner of his eye to see if you've noticed then quickly gazing around the room if you look at him.

If you haven't noticed soon enough, he'll probably walk away without a word, hiding in his room like a grumpy kid.

If, however, you do catch on, you're in for a treat.

One rule Zack has, no tools. Only fingers and mouths. Something about using tools just makes him very uncomfortable.

His most sensetive spots are his neck, ribs and inner thighs. Any of them make him melt.
