On an episode of the Unspooled movie podcast, film critic Amy Nicholson mentioned that Adam West played a James Bond parody in a Nestle Quik commercial, and that deadpan delivery with a touch of mischief led to him being cast as Batman.

From the Sci-Fi 5 Archive: Happy birthday to funny man, Paul Scheer! When I wrote this last year, I determined that he probably doesn't sleep based on his extensive resume.

anne rice said "erotica", the fans said "oh hm this is horror and abuse! let's turn this into a deeply upsetting character study about how abuse can create cruel people who perpetuate cycles."
iwtv (2022) writers said "this is a literal fucking saw trap" the fans said "but what if they were in love <3"

Unspooled Thread Update
Friends!!
I do want you to know that @velvetcovered-brick and I’s 14 hour (I don’t think that’s an exaggeration when all is said and done) meeting plotting out season 3 went well!
I’m writing chapter 18, which like chapter 9 is a completely original interim chapter that covers scenes or spotlights from the summer, autumn, winter, and the beginning of spring before the marriage mart season.
Now, while writing this chapter, there was a transition in how some scenes were written… specifically regarding fantasies Benelope have.
Which leads to this IMPORTANT MESSAGE (please read to the end):
Starting next chapter, this fic will be upgraded from a T to an M rating.
This was ALWAYS planned by @velvetcovered-brick and I. Why? Because we truly believe, as a canon rewrite, we had to progress the sexual nature of the show with Penelope’s own sexual progression. Her blossoming from a girl into a woman who is actually READY for sex. Yes, Benedict still had his own sexual experiences, but as you can see we wrote about those in vague terms since this is a Benelope story.
Now that we are getting into season 3, see chapter 18 as this transition chapter in maturity and spiciness level, along with Penelope’s readiness for emotional and sexual intimacy, along with Benedict’s readiness to commit and truly go after the woman he loves.
THAT BEING SAID, we know there are people who clicked on our story because it was in a comfortable T rating, and some people might not be comfortable with M rated sexual scenes. We DO NOT want to alienate any readers SO:
Before any scene of any sexually explicit nature, I will begin and end the scene with this:
*
Just an asterisk, that’s it. It will allow those who do not want to read those parts to skip. The rest of the story outside those scenes is as it was before.
We are excited about this progression in the story but are also trying to be mindful. ♥️
This will begin next chapter. There’s only two, small things that take place, short but spicy. Lol
Alright, back to writing!

been pondering the blacks too. just like the greens don't know how to connect to the other even if the understanding IS there, to me the black suffer almost from the opposite of this. their dynamic is seemingly more healthy and balanced than the greens that is true but this episode showed a lot of misunderstandings between them, how they can't see past the surface.
of course the biggest one is daemon and rhaenyra. neither of them can see the other too clearly. too wrapped up in both the war and in their new roles as queen and king consort. viserys hanging over them like a guillotine waiting for any to point out an insecurity in the other. rhaenyra resents daemon for putting her in viserys' place and daemon resents rhaenyra for believing what viserys did about him. i thought you were different!
which in turn makes daemon too angry to acknowledge his own daughter who is as eager as him to participate in the war effort, but he can't see her! he's too angry about past deeds, the same as rhaenyra. "i think i hate him", says baela because daemon has ignored her and her anger comes from mostly the same place as rhaenyra, they can't see that daemon's loyalty, his love, is about his actions. he's going to harrenhal to win the war for ALL of them. to daemon that is more important than hugging his daughter.
then later, when baela is with jace they engage in a conversation about fathers. jace's "he loved us. I think" is very telling on his insecurities about his place in the family and how, again, past deeds, cloud his understanding in the present. and it's so interesting that baela says something along the lines of her understanding, but she doesn't really! she doesn't know what it is to have such a dark shadow like jace. and he realizes because he immediately says that he misses luke. the only one who he *think* could understand him.
and forgive me for following this jace thread but he can't trust that rhaenyra will understand either. they don't see face to face at all. when he comes to report his travels in the past ep, he can't go beyond the queenly face she has put up, so he follows her lead and acts like just a prince and not his son. until it's too much and he breaks down. he's just a boy!

In order to not speak of Lestat for “twenty-three years”, Louis would have had to painstakingly curate or completely smother any acknowledgement of his early life as a vampire, Claudia, and the events that led to him and Armand leaving Paris. Being with and loved by Armand requires Louis to cease to exist outside of him.
