Do you understand?” Brennan: “I’m trying, but the single moment thesis doesn’t explain…” Rebecca: “Why we still get together. Fall together, really. I'm super-hype to kick off this Castles And Shit era of the Rizzles Experience (it's Going Around and I'm Very Excited)! I offer to you Chapter 1 of what was maybe proposed as a one-shot but guess what: it involves research, so good luck with that, all of us. Set in the 1380s at Leicester Castle, with knights! and--and castles! and falconry-as-metaphor! and jousts and stuff! and also I had to rate it M right out of the gate, because you are all very special to me.

Chapter 1: Good Hunting

It was only by exceeding good fortune that her father had insisted she be educated in the manner of a noble lordling; Lord Arthur had made no secret of his desire for a son, but had privately expressed to some of his intimates his pleasure with his daughter’s unusual cleverness, and his insistence that if she were to bear the family name, she ought to be brought up to bear it honorably. Thus she had been taught sewing and music and court dances with her fellow highborn girl-children, though she had also been assigned to the particular care of the castle’s ancient magister, a wizened creature named Paulus Mercurius who disdained all company save his ravens, and Maura.

Got ZONKED at treatment today. Apparently the election literally impacted my brain stress level to the point of the medication making me REAL loopy. Fun times.

Told my PA/Med Manager that part of what I was so anxious about was RFK’s stated, specific goals to take down antidepressants and other psychiatric medications. She clearly had been told by the bosses to Not Talk Politics and very carefully suggested that I don’t worry about things that haven’t happened… yet
