Calling all Polin fic writers!!(yes I’m now back on the Polin train. But I will never give up on Penedict and I will always want more love for that ship). I want to see a fic where S1 Colin figures out what Marina said about Pen(the whole comparing her to Hyacinth in Colin’s mind) and he gets upset about the situation, helping him realize his feelings for her.

Similarly if anyone wants to write a Penedict fic where Benedict stands up to Marina on behalf of Penelope and it helps her see him in a different light.

Benedict Bridgerton is a photographer for a high-end fashion company and is struggling with his new work...until he comes across a woman that sparks his muse, the vivacious Penelope Featherington, an unknown young woman who had only previously been a nude model for young aspiring artists.

when i try to write any fanfic when it comes to my favorite paring benedict x penelope my benedict is always highly possessive of his lover. without fail he goes feral for his pen.

I have a plot bunny I have no time to write cause I’ve got four other projects going. But I’ll put it out in the universe if I ever return to it or if anyone wants it.

Basically, complete canon rewrite for Penelope. Based off TV show so Pen is the youngest. Portia gives birth to Penelope and is disappointed to once again have not had a son. The Baron Featherington is off gambling, not even home for the birth (cause he sucks) but only Varley and the doctor know Penelope is a girl. Portia knows a servant is about to give birth and pays off the doctor and Varley to deliver the child, which is a boy, and switches the babies.

So the servant is given Penelope. The servant isn’t dumb, once Penelope’s red hair starts growing in. Knowing she has no power and, already loving Penelope and wanting her son to have a good life, gets a new job as a servant to the Bridgertons. Penelope becomes Eloise’s childhood playmate and friend until they’re too old for it to be proper, but Eloíse still hangs out with Penelope and gives her access to books and journals to write.

Penelope’s “mom” gets her an apprenticeship as a seamstress where she meets Genevieve. They’re friends and go into work together.

Go to S1, when Benedict goes to the Granvilles party it’s Penelope he sees and sleeps with. LW is still a thing, though written from a different, slightly more political perspective as Penelope writes about what she hears as a child of a servant and as a seamstress, and the disparity between upper and working class. Pen and El still besties. Benedict and Penelope start an affair, fall in love, but Ben can’t marry her (well, he’s told he can’t). But all the while the secret about the baby switch is looming as the supposed heir to the Baron Featherington’s estate is questioning his own bloodline after a drunken slip from Portia. So yeah… interesting but I have. No. Timeeeee.

It takes a beat for her words to sink in and when they do, Benedict feels suddenly like a child caught spoiling his appetite in the kitchens of Aubrey Hall. His chewing pauses entirely, just long enough for him to blink before he resumes though this time more hesitant; he swallows.

"What am I supposed to have done that's rather refreshing?" he's entirely serious, confused above all else with the way he's managed to overstimulate himself in less than an hour's time.

His attention's dispersed to the long forgotten book still held in his off-hand, to the half-finished game of draughts on the table between the two of them, to the abandoned braids of grass beside the stolen draughts pieces on the table.

The outing in the gardens was meant to include all of them, but with Gregory and Hyacinth falling ill and with the rest of his siblings pulled in every which direction, it ended up just being himself and Penelope to keep one another company - well and Mr. Fitzherbert, but the valet was all but dozed off in his seat some ways away, his book too long-abandoned, resting idly in his lap.
