Cyn is not innocent.

Unpopular opinion here. One of the things that bothers me the most about the fandom is how a lot of fans victimize Cyn so much.

Multiple times I see comments being like"Cyn is innocent" "Cyn was just another poor victim of the solver" "Cyn was so sweet, she didn't do anything wrong" "she wasn't evil".

One of the biggest misconceptions that fans have regarding Cyn is that they paint her as a poor victim when the series showed us that beyond being infected with the solver, she was extremely sadistic and manipulative by her own will and that at no time did she stop what she was doing because she WAS aware of it.

Unlike the other infected drones, That are controlled by the solver but when they return to normal they are shown to despise and be terrified of what they did. Cyn never stoped and didn’t stop at the gala,she continued doing what she did and continued harming others and especially N. A character that she treated like her older brother and that loved her very much, The only one who cared for her and defended her when the rest of the characters saw her as waste. And yet she caused him unimaginable pain and we saw in his presence that he is traumatized by what she did to him.

(The "let me in" part triggered a strong emotion in N. Because it was rooted in a trauma that he repressed)

He was so scared of her.

And I don't think it's necessary to mention that he killed and tore Tess's skin to use it as a disguise and continue to torment N psychologically, using the one he loved the most (Uzi) against him.

The solver only opened the doors to the evil that Cyn already possessed. If you think that just because of those scenes in episode 5 where she acts foolish and childish she is a good person...

I'm sorry to tell you....but she as a character manipulated you too.

And don't get me wrong. I'M NOT SAYING IT'S WRONG TO LIKE CYN AS A CHARACTER. Actually i love her, I love the way she manipulates, acts, her role as a villain, her sadistic actions and her designs, but I am aware that she is not an angel lol

Im sick of people trashing the 'damsel in distress. That simply means a girl who can't save herself. If you want to write a story about a girl who saves the day do so, but don't stomp on those who can't help themselves that's not what heroes do.

i don't think twilight is buff. like, i bet he's fit. toned, perhaps. but like, super chiseled? no. working out to have a ton of definition is a lot different than working out to maximize strength and agility, which is what i think he does.

Do you know what is a peak irony in this fandom?

When a person vehemently condemns Aziraphale's black-and-white approach to morality and rhapsodizes how sage Crowley is for his nuanced shades-of-grey outlook when the evident reason this person sympathizes with Crowley so much more is because he and his circumstances are more black-and-white and easy to judge while Aziraphale's case is far more complex and challenging to evaluate, with blurred lines everywhere.

It's not wrong to do stuff solely for attention. Being an attention seeker isn't a problem. If someone does something bad for attention, it's because they haven't been given enough.

Okay. I'm about to say something that's probably going to get me run out of the fandom, but.

I don't actually think Tommy leaving their date early had anything to do with him not wanting to pressure Buck (regardless of what he claimed later). Instead, I think it had everything to do with Tommy being annoyed and no longer into it that evening, and I think that is both okay AND significantly more interesting than taking him at his word later and framing it as some selfless act by a sanitized elder gay shepherd just trying to do right by Buck.

unpopular opinion, i miss nymphet. coquette is just hyper fem marie antoinette when nympet was dirty girls who struggle with poverty and trying to be like the "cool" girls. its mad strange how we gentrified nymphette.

Of that one book. That was about sexualizing a young girl. It was ownership of the word and tearing down masculinity to accommodate feminine desire.

But of course people misunderstood it and assumed nymphet was sexual in nature and therefore began to shit on it because they didnt bother to ask what the story behind it was.

Again YES there was SOME of it, but goth culture gets it was more than nymphette ever fucking did and yet you know why nymphette was shitted on? Because it revolved around women. It was made by girls for girls.

Coquette is just "preppy" now. Girls are buying 400 dollar Hilary Clinton outfits and just pairing it with shien sunglasses. Thats not coquette if you actually just want to rename nymphet. Go to good will, get jeans a size too big, get a ribbon or scarf to use as a belt, color in your shoe laces to be pink, get cheap shitty sunglasses from the gas station and use nail polish to make it cute.

NOT TO MENTION racism has gotten worse when it was rebranded to coquette. Like Yes it has happened before, but people now who are coquette are so bold to say black people cant be it EVEN THO they fit into it more than any rich white girl can.

TLDR: nymphet wasnt bad, it was the men and people who didnt like it that was bad and tore it down not understanding that low income girls needed a space too.
