Mha fandom when you say that Izuku’s biggest fic mischaracterization isn’t making him twinky:
Tumblr media
WHEN DID BEING A TWINK BECOME A BAD THING CAN I JUST ASK THAT
Like yes, twinkifying one male character in a ship can be annoying—it can perpetuate heterosexual roles onto same sex relationships (“who’s the woman in the relationship/who wears the pants in the relationship?”), BUT LET US BE CLEAR:
TWINKS ARE A PART OF THE QUEER COMMUNITY. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING A TWINK, MAKING A CHARACTER A TWINK, OR SEEING A CHARACTER AS A TWINK.
WHEN in the ever loving FUCK did that somehow translate into “the twink has to be the stereotypically aggressive one so it doesn’t abide by queer stereotypes”. HOW DID WE GET HERE.

Unpopular opinion: I think class 1-A from MHA manage the "Friends class" dynamic way better than the Akuma class from Miraculous Ladybug.

Actually thinking about it, Miruko and Bakugou insulting each other is NOT something I would think "they should be mentor and mentee".

Dabi & Toga’s Arc;
Tumblr media
This is most likely an unpopular opinion buti think Dabi and Toga’s character arc/hero-villain interaction could’ve been written better.
Like, i love the whole speech between Toga and Ochaco, despite its flaws and the fact that it happenned in a few chapters (lol), it was till good with great art but at the same time, its weird for Toga to act like Ochaco is the only one who made her experience love. Romantic, plationic, doesnt matter, love is love. She experienced that love with league and i hoped Ochaco to make Toga realize that she already found love in league. Not in Ochaco. Dont get me wrong. I still think Ochaco’s acceptance matter in a different way than league but still, it would be nice to see both Toga and Dabi to give up on their obsessions for the sake of league/Shigaraki (since he is their hero). But instead, story gave them what they ‘wanted’. Like;
Do you want your dad to see you, Dabi? Let me give it to you. Let’s give your abuser a redemption arc, without properly adressing the flaws of society and every great point you made.
Do you want to be loved by Ochaco/Izuku, Toga? You bet, girl! Ochaco thinks you have the cutest smile and you found love with her and she even said she is gonna give her blood to you! Even though, Twice, Shiggy, league already did/do that for you and you found love with them but lets focus on yuri, togaochaco scenes.
My problem with this is that its like Dabi cant be saved without being seen by abuser and its like Toga didnt find love/bigger love with legaue than she has with Ochaco. Its like cheap writing to me because focusing on their inner world, adressing all that great speech about society and their familly bond would be harder. I wish story made those two force to choose between league and revenge/obsessions first, then make Shouto and Ochaco realize that they are family, then they can reach out to them. Not after their obsession accept their love, not because of that. Endeavour didnt need to be that important for Dabi’s story, it could be small part of it, without focusing on entirely on his acceptance and the love of league could be the main focus, instead of yuri interaction (i dont blame people for it, because author writes them in a weird way, whether make izuochaco canon or togaochaco after they become friends, not like this). (Not even mentioning Spinner/Shoji, Hawks/Twice and others).
Anyway, i think in both hero-villain interactions, story omitted a few important steps to make them get their current position. It could’ve/should’ve written better. I hope we get better writing with Shiggy-Deku.

HOT TAKE TOURNAMENT
TOURNAMENT OVERTIME #206
Tumblr media
Submission 178
Koichi haimawari is a much better mha protagonist than deku
He embodies the phrase 'anybody can be a hero' much more than deku as in the beginning it Is shown that his quirk isn't special in fact there are 3 people with the same quirk as him so when he becomes a great hero it's feels better than deku because his quirk isn't special and he still makes a name for himself despite that
Propaganda is encouraged!
Also, remember to reblog your favourite polls for exposure!

Unpopular Opinion
But I honestly am not a fan of the todo//baku///deku ship romantically. Ever since the trio fell apart after Endeavor Agency, I have found it hard to see Todoroki fitting into Bakudeku's development (especially with how more connected the duo are in the OFA main storyline). I'm unsure if that's just me feeling that way, but I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Okay, let's be clear. I love writing about Jujutsu Kaisen, and I adored the manga before it took this turn. But let's face it, some people have really lost touch with reality here...

Let's talk about It...

shinsou's mind control quirk in combination with his voice changing mask makes him arguably one of the most overpowered characters if we look at this logically.
like if he can strengthen it to the point that they don't need to respond verbally, only mentally/not at all/with emotion/etc, then he would be literally unstoppable.
this kind of discovery and expansion of his quirk could likely be done if he was in the hero course, right?
okay, so lets assume he strengthens his quirk to this point
he is too strongly loyal to proving a bunch of people that he isn't the villain they believed him to be, so he'd definitely follow the path of a hero and could potentially, even be stronger than deku???
he would totally make an amazing main character

unpopular opinion but i actually loved that we never got to see izukus father. i feel like its a beautiful way to show that lack of a father figure/parental issues doesn’t define you, that it doesn’t have to dictate your life or even affect it too much. like you can live a perfectly normal life (albeit maybe not so normal in izukus case) while still missing a parental figure. like it doesn’t have to affect your story if you don’t let it

Finished BnHA. Here's the TLDR; version of my reaction:
Yay: We didn't end up in a Boruto situation and it's nice to see everyone grown up living their best lives
Boo: Almost of the League died and there was no catharsis in the climax. It was a part-tragedy, part-business as usual kind of ending
It was nice to get imagery like Bakugou offering a hand to Midoriya at the end of the story, but we never really see outside of that grandmother character, people helping those who could end up villains. So, like Naruto, in some ways it feels like not much has changed in society, it's just the main character's position in it that changed.
If we do get a sequel where Midoriya is a teacher, etc...etc...I'd really like to see Horikoshi (and whoever is the equivalent of Toyotaro or Ikemoto and Kodachi will be) do something with the concept of reaching out to someone who could end up in another League of Villains and really show us if/how the society has changed after all that happened. Because I feel like reaching out to others is a legit theme of the manga and I feel like we just didn't get there in a satisfying way.
I'm not going to hold my breath about it, but that's where I'd like to see things go since we didn't get that kind of exploration with the League.
Anyway, it could have been worse, but man, I think it could have also been better.
