A while back I saw someone ask if Vander would have accepted Jayce's deal to give Jinx up for Zaun. The resounding response was "No", because Vander was already put in that position (sort of), and he chose to protect his children by giving himself up, and Vander would never be in that position to begin with. Those are correct statements, but they're not relevant to the question.
The question was, if Jinx decided to escalate tensions with acts of theft and violence that brought Piltover's attention, would Vander let Jinx be sent to Stillwater? I think the chance of him saying yes is at least more than 0.
We're not talking about all the kids getting caught up in a robbery gone wrong. We're talking about an older Jinx going solo into Piltover for targeted destruction havoc. In a universe where she everyone's still alive, Piltover still exists, and her hatred for that place would still burn and grow with time. The question really was, if Jinx put Vander in the same position Silco did in the past would he decide to give her up?
For Vander, what's on the line isn't Zaunite independence for Zaun, it's the safety of his family, his friends, and the population of the Undercity against Piltover's retaliation. He'd probably have even less moves to play than Silco did at the end. Vander can't give himself up, Jinx's name has already been leaked, and he is agonizingly aware of what Piltover's capable of.
Would he try to have her sent away? Vander wasn't willing to throw someone else under the bus for the kids in the past, so would he do it for a young adult Jinx who's more responsible for her actions? Would he think Stillwater is a better alternative for Jinx who may end up getting herself killed? Maybe he can try to plead for banishment (though that seems to be reserved for Piltovans)?
The question really stuck with me because Vander was willing to kill a man he considered his brother because he went too far, what does that mean for a daughter that won't back down from her own agenda?

I'm seriously going mental over this Rus' and Russia distinction. The precise reason Peter the Great changed the name from Moscovy to the Russian Empire was to establish a direct connection to the rich history of Kyivan Rus' and assert the claim as the sole true descendant of the Rurik dynasty. His thought process went like this: to build a formidable empire, a strong historical foundation is needed. Moscow's ties to the Mongols were not as significant as the history of the Kyivan state, which prior to the Mongol invasion of 1240 was one of the most advanced in Europe and had numerous representatives in various ruling dynasties. Credit must be given; he succeeded in doing so. Even centuries later, I find myself reading, listening, and observing his actions in effect as Russians and Europeans, blindly following the centuries long lies, erase my country's and my people's history.

Theory: The Clone X was not Cody like some people think or even Fives (I know he's been dead for a very long time but so was Boba Fett and look where we are. Plus, Echo was supposed to be certainly dead too; making him Winter Soldier-esque storyline wouldn't be that surprising) or not even Slick.
((Also, now that we've seen his face devoid of any tattoos or scars I think first two takes are definitely not applicable anymore; they wouldn't put that much effort to make him unrecognizable))
Back to the point: In my opinion, The Clone X was none other than...
Fox.
Now let me explain.
Who else, other than X, was loyal to the law and justice dictated by it over any moral or ethic code?
Fox.
Who else was portrayed with such single-minded focus on hunting down traitors of the government he served, regardless of what it was?
Fox.
Who else could know not only Coruscant so well but also identify Rex like they knew each other?
He already was a remarkably successful tracker of traitors, why not make him more efficient by pointing them out for him?
Good soldiers follow orders, after all.

Have you heard that episode 5 of the IDV stage play will feature Norton and Ithaqua as the main characters of the Survivor and Hunter factions respectively?
I don’t know the plot, and the stage play isn’t canon to game lore, but I just wanted you to know because of your Norton vs Ithaqua comics. It’s hilarious if their stage play characters’ relationship mirrors that of the ones in your comics.

IT KEEPS HAPPENING!!
First the Nymph Awards face-off, and now this! There was also a tiny tidbit in the Lawson collaboration comic recently. Oh my gosh I'm actually going insane by all of it! How do they keep getting pitted against each other?? I love to see it though! XD
I'm really excited by the next stage play and that Norton and Ithaqua will be the main characters!! Super curious about how they'll interact! Also excited to see Melly and Alva make a cameo as well! ;0; I just wish I could watch all the stage play episodes! ;<; I've seen some clips here and there, and some of it looks absolutely hilarious! Please, I want to seeeeee!! It's agony!! 😭😭

Is there any character from the cast Ren is willing to tolerate or maybe even starts some kind of friendship with them over time?
✦゜ANSWERED: Probably only River — but even then — it's extremely unlikely ^^; Ren genuinely doesn't have the ability nor capacity to feel empathy for anyone other than Angel, so any form of friendship would be strictly one-sided and doomed for failure T_T

See most people are thinking about the new Trolls movie as the silly-fun-boy-band movie that it is. However, I am incapable of being normal about anything and if there’s ONE thing that I’ll always be able to rant about it’s child endangerment.
Okay, so we’re led to believe that Floyd did his due diligence for Branch by ensuring that he’s in the care of Grandma Rosiepuff before he dips out. HOWEVER, upon maybe 5 seconds of thought about those logistics, I don’t think he DID do his due diligence.
The first movie sets up two distinct chunks of time, when the trolls are living in Troll Tree and when they’re living in the forest. It’s mostly implied, but the tree is characterized as being a prison AKA near impossible to escape from. This is why they need to secretly dig escape tunnels. And in this timeline, Rosiepuff died WHILE the trolls were still trapped in the tree.
The tree being implied to be inescapable and the timing of Rosie’s death paint a confusing picture for me. With these two facts, Brozone would have had to break up WHILE they were still living in the tree since Floyd left the care of Branch to Rosie. But what did the brothers do after the breakup? They would have either had to have found a way (or four separate ways) to escape the tree or they were avoiding each other in the tree until the day of the escape. And in BOTH of these scenarios, they did not make sure they did right by Branch before they left.
In scenario 1, where they actually leave the tree and scatter to the winds, what the fuck would be the reason to leave not only Branch, but Rosie and every other troll in the tree? Trolls are getting ritualistically sacrificed every year. Why are we leaving a TODDLER in that situation if there’s a way to escape? Why are we leaving ANYONE in that situation if there’s a way to escape? I can understand the necessity of having small groups to remain hidden during an escape, but you can’t tell me that it’s preferable to leave a small child and an elderly person in a dire situation if you’ve found a feasible way to get to safety.
Scenario 2 is even worse. If the brothers weren’t able to leave the tree and were just doing their best to be no-contact with each other up until the escape, then they really dropped the ball by not ensuring that Branch had another guardian after Rosie died. And to be fair, this is murky waters because we don’t actually know what the rest of Branch’s time in the tree was like after her death. He COULD have had a guardian. But they really imply that he remained alone and if that’s true AND the brothers were still in the tree, then I’d argue that it was their responsibility to make sure Branch was being cared for before they dipped. Which they didn’t, since Branch says that he hasn’t seen or heard from them since they initially left.
Anyway, my point is that the movie tries to placate us by showing the scene of Floyd leaving Branch with their Grandma but upon even a touch of thought, that was not a reasonable situation to leave their kid brother in and they needlessly endangered him which resulted in spending nearly his entire childhood and all of his teenage years gray.

3l!grian is frequently depicted as a tragic figure and sometimes i wonder if we even watched the same series
#like yes he is tragic. every character in the series is tragic but i think hes easily the least tragic of the winners#(except maybe cleo. i have my own thoughts about how cleos victory plays into her core themes and why its not as joyous or triumphant as#cleo the players and the fandom at large make it seem that i will have to make a real post about at some point)#grian dies Laughing. he smiles and calls it a dual victory before the final fight. his last words are “its been amazing.”#to me Grians arc is about how he came in with this sense of mirth. had it ripled away by the reality when his joke gets Scar killed.#and then rediscovers it as he learns that the horror of their circumstances doesn't need to keep him from delight#plus also ive never seen a man more delighted to explode three of his friends#ill also bring up that Martyns lore has Grian involved in the games explicitly to COMBAT the angst#that Grians inherent silliness and joy makes the players less hopeless as they meet their endings#and theres obviously parts of martyns lore i can take or leave but this is one area where Eyes and Ears lines up very well with what actions#the characters take and so im happy to bring it up#unlike other parts such as “limlife pearl and cleo retained more trauma between seasons than any player has before”#which i do directly refute as it doesn't seem to line up with the way the characters act and the story plays out#thats for another post though#my point here is 3l grian was having the time of his life and i think there are some fanon interpretationd that disregard that#which theyre free to do im definitely someone who has ignored canon plenty of times in the past (glances at worm)#but i think this is the sort of thing that makes the canon more interesting and compelling#anyway. um. rambled longer than i meant to there#grian#trafficblr#3rd life#3rd life smp#3lsmp

if they're from the right main 7, perhaps funnel and poppy? :eyes:
Imagine that I'm doing the evil laugh from Welcome To The Internet right here for me okay
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Funnel and Poppy have the most changes in their relationship from my original plan when I was younger. Their personalities and stories were rewritten and fleshed out and as a result, so was their dynamic.
Poppy and Funnel do not like each other. They do not hate each other and are tolerant of each other in different ways, but they do not like each other. When Poppy returned to the circus- now the last performer to join it rather than the first -it was to see if Funnel was still The Ringmaster and prove that they could never be more than that (as some strange form of closure), that the carnie was just waiting to use and abuse the folks working here. Funnel, who just wasn't the person Poppy thought they were no matter how much he wanted them to be, offered up a job and a deal to Poppy- that deal being that Poppy could exploit their money and time for whatever he wanted, as compensation for what they put him through years ago. Both jumping at the chance for personal gain and wanting to see where this whole "I'm a changed person" shenanigan was going, Poppy accepted.
While Poppy keeps an eye on Funnel and is intrusive to their life on purpose, Funnel is relatively indifferent to Poppy's existence, but still finding him just a little more obnoxious than they remember. They honestly don't care a lot about what Poppy does with their money and time (with a couple of exceptions) and mostly carries on with their life without really talking to him unless it's necessary. They understand why he's upset and don't invalidate his feelings about what they put him through as The Ringmaster, but in doing so, Funnel never really thinks about Poppy's feelings. They just give him whatever he wants because they think that's what helps him and they don't like or care about him enough to want to talk about it. They don't use their money for much more than necessities and they're usually at home, so if he summons them up for something, they probably weren't doing anything anyway. They're almost avoidant of him beyond being his boss because they, despite wanting him to feel better, think he's annoying.
In present day, years after this deal has been set in place, Poppy no longer cares that much about what happened with him and The Ringmaster, he even straight up admits that it's not the worst thing that had ever happened to him while he was living on the streets. He admires Funnel now and thinks that their continued efforts and commitments to changing for the better for so many years are inspiring and, much like everyone that comes to this circus, has a rekindled love for performing because seeing how much Funnel loves it for real made him realize how fun it really can be. And you would think that, since Poppy has kind of let the situation go and has seen that Funnel really has changed for the better, he would cut the deal as well and just work at the circus like normal, right? Of course not! You think he'd let a gig like this get away? You're crazy. He doesn't have to keep this up but by god he's going to.
You see, Poppy refuses to outwardly acknowledge that Funnel has changed and continues to do so because, now, he's afraid of their new dynamic changing. He's afraid of having to admit that he's holding onto something he let of a long time ago for the sake of personal gain. He knows Funnel is changed. He knows Funnel isn't going to hurt anyone. He knows he doesn't care about their past anymore.
But he can't let Funnel know that. He can't lose this.
Despite having anything he wants, Poppy still wants everything he can get.
