i hope this ask is fun for u! i'm going to assign you rottweiler—they can be incredibly gentle and loving, but typically only bond to a couple of people and are aloof with many others. sometimes even treading the line of being wary of or nervous of strangers—and beyond that, although many people don't know this about rotties, they're actually descended from herding dogs, and prone to many of the herding dog neuroses (of which i feel u might relate to)
Oh! :D thank you! I actually had a Rottweiler pit bull mix growing up 🥺
#how did u know i only bond with a few people and am wary and nervous of strangers 🤨#ahsjdldld#but yeah alright you caught me#i would be a velcro dog tbh#just kinda pick one person and will stick to them#that person being my husband#i dont watch him pee tho i can respect boundaries 😤#unlike leia lol#ask#anon#ben replies#thank you tho! this is very lovely :3

Ok hear me out: A roles reserved AU with the characters of the prequels replacing the OT where farm boy Anakin Skywalker teams up with smuggler Cody Fett and old Jedi Master Leia to "Rescue" prince Obi Wan from the Death Star and the clutches of a evil Luke. (And the Prequels are Luke falling to the dark side while his sister Leia tries to stop him but she's betrayed by her clone Commander Han Solo)
YES WAIT HOLY FUCK
this would be so good though!!!! YES pls if I can art at any point I must draw at least old Jedi master Leia, that idea itself is so amazing. Long white robes and she gives Anakin Luke’s green saber 👏👏👏👏👏 there’s so much to do with this, Cody being in a smuggling group with his brothers, lol maybe Rex takes the Chewie role? Also Luke as Vader, love the idea that since Jedi Luke wears black, sith Luke would wear ghostly white robes. And omg commander solo!! Shit everything about this is such a good idea. The image of Obi Wan in prince robes is just 👌👌👌 and maybe Ahsoka and qui gon switch roles? Ur a genius OP
Also idk if you ship Dinluke but it’s my ride or die ship so excuse me while I make Din the Padme of this AU
#everything just flows#lol yoda is just yoda#HMMM#smuggler Cody seeing prince obi wan for the first time 👏👏👏👏#unlike han and leias flirty arguing. Obi Wan and Cody are just always on the verse of making out while still unsure if the other likes them#maybe Padme being queen and Din being Manda’lor switch#star wars#headcanons#luke skywalker#leia organa#Star Wars au#role reverse au#anakin skywalker#darth Vader#obi wan kenobi#commander Cody#han solo#the mandalorian#din djarin#dinluke#omg my first ask#asks

Just started TLJ for fun because it was a Long Day and I wanted some form of distraction that didn't involve the current Ghost Crew kinda high stakes episode I was halfway through and I must say..... this is so strange to me
#the brief scenes with paige just gutted me#you know that post about the unnamed servant in king lear (i THINK it's king lear at least) that has that cs lewis quote#that's paige. like. that's literally her that's her role in the story that's what she chooses to do and that's why#poe's Personally Sanctioned mission to destroy the dreadnought or whatever it's called succeeds. it's because of her#not gonna lie i wish we saw more of her!!!!!#anyhow there are a lot of things that were little gems. like our intro to rose is her sitting alone in an empty space sobbing#because she lost her sister as she's clutching the matching necklace. that was a really good bit#and finn being like. WHERE'S REY. HOW CAN SHE GET TO US IN THIS CHAOS.#and the sheer intensity of rage from kylo ren#unlike many of my fellow tumblr girlies (please don't burn me at the stake for this) i don't find adam driver very attractive and am a bit#puzzled as to what makes people like him So Much (mentally i'm like ???? which is my reaction to timothee chalamet enthusiasm too)#but i can give him one thing. he's absolutely terrifying. the intensity and sheer out of control FORCE of his anger terrifies ME#probably on the same level as hayden's anakin does tbh#i jumped a little when he punched the elevator wall. that man has got Deep Seated Issues that he REALLY needs to work out at this point#there are also bits of this movie that REALLY confuzzle me#like leia's force hovering through space (????) and poe's anger/control/defiance (??????????)#and also LUKE GIVING UP????? i was like. well the video essay peeps on youtube were right about THIS bit being#the Worst Part Thus Far. a luke skywalker abandoning hope is a luke skywalker i'm struggling to recognize#anyhow more thoughts incoming...... class has started and media analysis brain is on#is it EVER OFF THOUGH LOL#tlj liveblog

Update: caught up on her ongoing (which is ending in 2 issues waaaaahhhh 😭😭😭) and she is now at #16 (1 spot after Jessica Cruz GL) so I'd call that a success
I'd bet that Aphra is going to keep moving higher though, esp because I want to catch up on the main Star Wars title eventually (where we'll see cameos + guest appearances likely) as well as older appearances. Like her first solo. And DV (2015). and SW (2015). And stuff like Screaming Citadel.
What if I read a bunch of Aphra comics and got her into my top 20 on locg. What then
#other side effects of this was darth vader now being in my top 10 though ahdishsagahwh#and luke skywalker is at no. 20#leia probably increased as well but only by a spot or two#anyways 👍#blah#star wars posting#<<<this is for organization but also like. block it if you want idc#bc ik this is mainly a dc comics blog but like sw comics my beloveds...#also jess would be higher if locg didnt count by hero identity. bc most of my jess reading lately has been as power ring and so she hasnt#gotten that big boost yet from the chrono read like simon did#want to see if i can get my hands on aphra#no 31 somehow... idk i get anxious to buy trades let alone track down single issues (from like. 6 months ago lol) so its unlikely but.#i want it.

The Boy is Mine
Rating: R
Summary: Loki finds you after dark.. but who owns who?
Note: Based off the song The Boy is Mine by Ariana Grande
Requester: @Laer111ee (wattpad)
*Insert slut song here First and play as you read LOL*
Your hips swayed from side to side as your fingers gripped the pole firmly to keep your balance. Shifting your weight as you swung yourself, arched your back and flipped your hair, all were the main ingredience to get the big bucks coming, especially with those regular fat cats in the audience that continued to gawk at you for the 5th day in a row. It paid the bills at least, kept your head away from other problems and.. you just really loved to dance.
Your hair was loose, make up was light but still captured a sexy look, you ditched the ridiculous high heels and just put on the shorter ones that almost said ‘sexy business woman’ and you had your favorite black outfit that almost resembled slave Leia from Star Wars.. or at least, that’s what that one guy shouted from the audience that one time.
As soon as your last song ended, you struck your pose and closed your eyes, catching your breath with a smile as the feeling of paper brushed against your exposed skin as people threw cash and cat called. After a moment, you collected it all after a corny bow and headed down the stairs for the next girl to take over.
‘’hey Y/N, some fella in curtain 5 paid for a private dance’’ your boss whispered before you could get to the back rooms. His grip on your arm indicated his usual ‘I’m telling’ not ‘asking’.
Your eyes glanced over at the closed curtain room, as if expecting to see the gentleman right there and glanced at your boss with a sigh. ‘’fine, then I’m done for the night.’’
‘’sure.’’ He waved off and disappeared elsewhere.
After placing your bag in your locker, tiding yourself up a bit and even changing into something similar, just with more exposed leg space for your usual lap dances and headed over. Ignoring the stares and cat calling as you pass people, you paused at the curtain and took a deep breath- knowing you’ve done hundreds but it was just to prepare for.. anything, and went in.
“hello darling, you’ve never mentioned about your little side business..’’
You stopped dead in your tracks with wide eyes and queasy stomach. Your body ran a cold shiver up your spine as you remained a deer in the headlights at who sat before you, manspreading and comfortable, rocking his perfect black suit and your expression was still.
Snake..
‘’what the hell are you doing here?’’ you managed to squeeze out, your voice not indicating any anger but more.. uncertainty as you glanced at the curtain behind you to make sure it was closed.
‘’don’t worry darling, I’ll keep your little secret’’ Loki smirked and laced his fingers together before him with a cross of his legs. ‘’but might I say, you do look ravishing, especially displaying your skillset and.. assets on stage’’ he smirked, trying to get a rise out of you.
So he had been there that long.. your eyes narrowed in challenge as you remained calm. At least on the outside. Loki has been your long-time crush for a long time, having seen him amongst the tower many times to share some playful bickering and knowledgeable conversation here and there. He was someone to keep things interesting, never boring and got your mind to always think- unlike the dull and self-centered males that also occupied the tower. Most of them anyway. Being an Avenger was also your job, but you just couldn’t give up your first job here when Stark offered you the position, so you worked both, this one obviously in secret- until now.
‘’how did you know I was here?’’ you questioned, crossing your arms as worry showed on your brow nevertheless.. for some strange reason you trusted he would keep your secret- it didn’t mean he wouldn’t use it against you though.
‘’the tower tends to get rather boring, and most of your Midgardian locations don’t suit my interest. But you do, you’ve always have..’’ his voice got dangerously low as he leaned forward as he spoke. ‘’so, I followed you. you tended to disappear every evening and I got curious’’ he smirked.
You looked away a little as he spoke, glad the dim lighting hid your blush you felt come to your cheeks as you took a deep breath. Were you really going to do this? ‘’..you know I could always refuse you right?’’ you challenged out of curiosity.
‘’true,’’ he shrugged, relaxing back on the couch as he watched you, his eyes slipping down from yours a few times. ‘’but I could tell a part of you actually wants to do this,’’ he smirked, his eyes flicking up to yours again. ‘’and I don’t even have to blackmail you.’’
Your eyes narrowed as you stared at each other, almost daring to see who would do what first, but unfortunately it was all you. he was the customer and you hated that he was right. He wasn’t just a customer; you had wanted him for a long time; there was no use in denying it. if you had to do this, you were going to take your time and take charge. You will not give him a chance to belittle or doubt, this was your job and you were good at it.
youtube
As if on que, the music had started playing again and you wished you had taken a shot of tequila while you had put your stuff away, because the way he gazed at you now was making it hard to focus. He was sat back, limbs loose and relaxed as if he had been drinking a bit himself. His legs were a bit more together now, his slender hands resting at his thighs as his eyes drank you in now. His expression was difficult to read, but you could tell by his deep breathing and how now and again he would shift a little, that he was aroused, and that made you extremely powerful to offer your own smirk.
Taking a small step forward to be more in the center of his room, you kept your half-lidded eyes on him as your hands gently brushed over your thighs, slowly swaying your hips in the beat of the music while they slowly rose and flattened a little at your covered center.
His chin tilted up as his eyes seemed to pry, almost as if trying to look right through your clothes themselves as he swallowed and remained his composure. Your body slowly turned, showing off as your hands slowly rose around your hips and brushed against your perfect ass with your cut dress covering your intimate parts before you slowly faced him again while you gripped your chest.
Your eyes closed then, as if your own touch alone could make you orgasm and your fingers traveled into your hair while your lips parted. While your eyes were closed as you moved to the music, Loki’s hands briefly brushed against his pants as he began getting antsy, his jaw tight but he remained patient as he drank you in. gods you were beautiful, and you both knew it. the fact that he also knew your personality form your encounters at home as well he felt you were all the sexier.
His breath hitched when you placed your hands on his knees, feeling him having no rejection as you leaned forward and he took advantage of the view of your cleavage. Feeling his tense but loose limbs, you pushed his legs apart, standing between them as you remained holding eye contact and you smirked, seeing a small flash of defeat in his eyes that he hated and loved at the same time.
You had the upper hand now.
You turned yourself and slowly, just ever so slowly to tease him- more- began grinding your ass on him. depending on the package, it could involve touch, but you still weren’t expecting your breath to hitch when you felt his slender hands rest at your hips, his finger tips lightly digging into your flesh as he used strained control to bring you harder again him. speaking of..
By the gods he was huge, and you could feel yourself getting aroused every time he pulled and you pushed your cunt against his hard cock. You almost felt like you could salivate as your grinded more into him, hearing him growl as his grip strengthened ever so slightly, as if to stop himself from slapping your ass. You had him where you wanted him and pulled away, his fingers hesitating to let you go as you turned around to face him and placed your hands on his shoulders with do-me-eyes.
Loki’s lips parted weakly as he remained himself to breath, his eyes looking up into yours as if silently begging for you to take him. you wanted to.. if you wouldn’t get fired. Though it didn’t mean you couldn’t tease him a bit as you got onto his lap, your thighs resting against his while your cunt began grinding itself again on his bulge.
His hands went back to your hips as fast as magnets, wanting to grope and touch but he was unsure if he was allowed. You felt him squeeze your flesh as he leaned forward, making you grip his shoulders more as he inhaled your scent with fluttering eyes closed.
This gave you the perfect opportunity to lean forward and run your tongue teasingly up his neck, making your body lift as his cock got impossibly bigger to raise you. his eyes shock open with blown, hungry pupils and his own cologne filled your sensed as you gazed at him. he gave you a frustrated breath, his hips almost thrusting up as if he forgot you both were clothed.
Just to add fuel to the fire, your hands ran down his chest and took his wrists, pulling them off your thighs to rest against your chest as he eagerly began to massage and knead. His eyes never left yours as he almost seemed to study you, admiration on his features as if he never thought this moment would be possible- and he was still trying to believe it.
his thumbs ghosted under the edge of your bra at the bottom-if you want to call it a bra. It was thin as paper, you might as well of not have been wearing one as his movements slowed, asking silent permission as his teeth grasped his bottom lip lightly. Giving a small smile with a nod, his thumbs lifted the bra forward enough to slip his hands in and he almost shuddered in pleasure as he grasped your globes. Your head almost fell back as you moaned, slowing your griding at his bulge to deep, long strokes and you felt a warm tongue run up your neck.
You pulled away just enough to give him a playful smile as he shared one, knowing it was a pay back tease before a hand left your chest to move to the back of your head. It moved it forward, his fingers lightly grasping your hair as he tilted your head up and began sucking at your neck. Your hands went to his shoulders, nails digging into his suit as your own body shuddered in pleasure. He left open mouth kisses below your jawline and ran his tongue to your collar bone.
‘’F-Fuck..’’ you breathed before there was a knock outside the room.
‘’hey Y/N, I’m not paying over time.’’ your boss called and you realized the music had stopped.
Loki pulled away and removed his hands to rest at your hips, looking up at you curiously as you both caught your breaths.
‘’..the songs over..’’ you whisper, your eyes breaking contact as you use his shoulders to help yourself off of him and he keeps his hands on your hips for as long as possible as he lets go and stands up.
His height reminds you just how different you both are as you brush and straighten your clothes before you feel his hand at your chin and lift it to look at him. his expression was gentle but deadly serious and seriously still aroused.
‘’what time are you off?’’
Your blush darkens and you could feel your arousal as your thighs close tight. ‘’now-‘’
He leans down a bit, his knees bending to accommodate his height as he holds your eyes hostage and your noses almost touch.
‘’then this is most certainly not over.’’

Is it normal for Star Wars novels to contradict each other sometimes? How do the writers stop many inconsistencies from happening?
Is it normal for Star Wars novels to contradict each other sometimes? How do the writers stop many inconsistencies from happening?
Yes! But why it happens depends on a lot of things like “what’s canon (to you)?”
Unlike most franchises, Star Wars doesn’t have an quick and easy answer for what is canon and what’s not. I’ve wrote a little about this here, if you’re interested.
But the gist is: over the last 40 years, a lot of different people wrote a lot of different things so inconsistencies are simply a fact of life. Here’s a example: when was Anakin Skywalker knighted?
Before 2008 the ‘canon’ answer would’ve been: shortly before the end of the clone wars, as seen in Clone Wars (2003).
But after 2008 the official answer would’ve been: right after the end of Attack of the Clones, as seen in The Clone Wars (2008).
Lucasfilm checked everything but sometimes things slipped through the cracks. Considering the enormous amount of star wars lore published since the 70s, I don’t find the inconsistencies all the shocking.
I believe the biggest issue for most fans was the “Disney re-writes”. Currently most debates come from that and the erasure of over 30 years of lore. So now you have entire characters and arc being rewritten after so many fans spend years of their lives consuming that particular content. The most obvious example is Luke, Leia and Han’s lives post-ROTJ. Imagine spending 30 years of your life reading about their lives, their children and grandchildren…and now being told that that never happened and the Skywalker lineage is dead and gone.
This is happening to many arc and characters which makes the debates very confusing because it’s like arguing about two different stories lived by characters who only share the same name: The Luke Skywalker who died as greatest of all the Jedi and the Luke skywalker who disappeared on everyone.
Anyway, inconsistencies are part of the packaged at this point. as new movies, shows and characters are altered or introduced, more and more of them will appear. You can go mad trying to solve it or you can just accept it as part of fun lol

You know it’s funny, in the early days of this fic I was interested in everyone knowing about Leia at some point. I’m less invested in that now. And if I had to pick one person I don’t want to know at this point, it would be Anakin. In the early stages of your fic, I think it would have been a wake up call that would prompt some major character changes. But over the course of the fic, he’s grown so much I don’t think he needs that hurt. I think it’s very unlikely at this point that Vader would happen. It’s simply not necessary in my mind. And he deserves to grow without that shadow over his shoulder.
People I do want to know include Shmi most of all. To a lesser extent I’d like Padmé, Bail, and Obi-wan to know, though that has more to do with progressing relationships with those people. Other characters I’d be interested in the reaction for the lol’s, like Mace Windu.
So you’ve changed my mind on the subject, at least. Good job, lol
I honestly cannot tell you how much this comment excites me. As is pretty obvious from how far we've gotten in this story with Leia keeping her secrets, I'm very partial to the "do people really need to know" line of thought, for so many reasons. But I really appreciate this observation, because I think it really is at the heart of why DLB Leia doesn't wan't to talk about her past. Part of it is her fear and worry. But equally important to her is how telling the truth will impact the people around her. And there is so much of her history that can really only hurt people. She's very aware of that fact. And while, like you, there may have been a point where she wanted to rub Anakin's face in Vader's choices, she is also getting to a point where she wouldn't want to hurt Anakin specifically by bringing those choices us. Because they aren't his choices or his mistakes to bear.
I feel like I got to explore the idea of a reveal a lot last October when I ran the Tricks for Treats prompts. It was fun to think about doing the story differently for a bit.

So I’ve been thinking. It’s said Obi-Wan is the consummate Jedi, but if he is by the standers of his time that means he is the embodiment of a deeply flawed order and of Jedi who have lost there way and sorta abandoned their true purpose so to speak. I think it’s just terribly ironic that by being the “perfect” Jedi he’s embodying something inherently flawed and misguided, and feel like people don’t look at that nearly enough when looking into “perfect” Jedi Obi-Wan. It’s endlessly facilitating.
my inbox has been flooded w spam so this is the first time I'm seeing this and I think you have a really interesting take here.
I think when it's said that Obi-wan is the consummate or paragon Jedi it's usually meant in the sense that Obi-wan HIMSELF represents what it means to be a Jedi even over and above what the Order itself embodies. That is, Obi-wan is a good person despite his flaws and is self-aware of his mistakes in ways the Order was not pre-Fall. At least, that's what it means to me. Obi-wan is righteous, good, true, dedicated af to the point of it consuming his life. He's annoying. Judgemental. A stickler. He's also "weak" as per Jedi standards, secretly - he's weak for Anakin, weak for Ahsoka. He's a discerning General but a terrible Master, he's a great friend but a terrible Hall Monitor (Palpatine manipulated Anakin right under his nose). He's slick, he knows how to trick people (Jedi are honest, huh?), he's aloof, and he's entirely too cloistered to be relatable to the general Galactic Public.
He does have all these bad and failed qualities - but to me he doesn't share his shortcomings with the Order. Obi may be posh and judgemental, but unlike the Order he's not detatched and unforgiving. He's empathizes with Anakin to the point that it's sacrilegious. He may be an be immovable but, unlike the Order and its Senate shenanigans he's not an opportunist. Unlike the Order he doesn't just preach love - he actually feels its. The messy, complicated, un-Jedi realness of it. For Ahsoka, for Anakin, for Luke, for Leia. The pain and failure of that.
But in a sense ("from a certian point of view" lol) Obi-wan is flawed so he IS the Jedi's perfect symbol... a flawed man for a flawed Order. The perfect symbol because he is imperfect. A mess of a man with many hard-wrought paradoxes inside of him.
Obi-wan is both the perfect Jedi despite the Order & because of it. The way I see it, is Obi-wan's "perfect Jedi" moniker comes from the fact, and is narratively illustrated by the fact, that he is literally the last man standing. Obi-wan survived the Order because deep down he was better than it.
It may have taken Anakin, and Ahsoka, and Padme, and Satine, etc for him to realize it.
But he did eventually and that's why he was the only capable steward to teach Luke and keep the Order alive.

The Last Echoes | Obi-Wan Kenobi x Fem!Reader
Part 1 of ? » next part
warnings: none, obi-wan's pov, angst, not y/n (i used she/her instead) villain!reader (sometimes, she's not a sith, more like the gray revengeful character that we all grew to love), mentions of order 66 and death a.k.a. reader (and i supposedly didn’t find any warnings lol). this takes part in the series (idk if it counts as spoilers), but i’ll give little context in flashbacks. w/c: 3.3k.
Summary: On his way to rescue little princess Leia Organa, Obi-Wan Kenobi discovers not only he is one of the last Jedi who survived from the Old Republic as he tried to survive the Inquisitors, but the only lover left alive.
"I'd rather not to fight", her hair strings glowed, framing her face, sweet yet intimidating. Her lightsaber off, letting her arm rest tiredly in the side of her body, allowing herself to relax for once after hours of chasing.
Obi-Wan couldn't believe he found beauty in the gold of her eyes and peace in her intoxicating voice. He almost felt himself dreaming when hearing those words, like he was imagining it all. He pursued the ideal of a peaceful morning with the war being over, welcoming a bright future of service and duty.
Unlike her, who seemed to be drawn to self-destruction and making trouble where she went along with the separatists, now through it all, she could see the differences between them easily. But not today. Today they were the same at the sight of the sunrise, they could feel each other as they really were, no masks.
She paced slowly to be in front of him, to look directly through him, and see herself in the immensity of his blue eyes, to never forget what being gazed upon tenderness was about, and seek that part of herself that wanted peace of mind. He suddenly felt himself panting again though the fight had already been over not so long ago. It was a first time of surprises, a discovery of feelings more than words.
"A Sith who doesn’t want to fight?” He inquired out of curiosity, she disconnected her eyes from him to see the sky.
Now he wished he hadn’t said anything, but found himself incapable of withdrawing his stare.
“I’m not a Sith”, she chuckled, trailing his bold decision of words while taking notice of his lips than his eyes again.
The Sith rule says that if there is an apprentice, there will always be a master, but they were both apprentices who lost their masters, alone in the wild colliding constantly one another, caught in the webs of the Force like loose strings, waiting to be entangled by the other.
★★★
The sheer glow of the capsules were barely seen by his light blue eyes. He had definitely entered the wrong room, or at least that's what he wanted to believe, a room he wished he never in his life had to see. From the cold grayish green in the walls, the dirty floors in the corridor, some boxes all around, the more time he got in there, the more his heart was pounding in anxiety. After years of thinking the Jedi were only mercilessly chased and killed by the Empire had an actually more twisted outcome.
It didn’t matter how strong minded he tried to be, peace was long gone. His palms were cold and sweaty, his walking steady and cautious, his face stern as he witnessed the worst in the long way of Jedi fossils, kept hidden as war treasures, like their existence was a mere trophy for whomever had them there.
Tala's voice was a blurry whisper in the back of his mind while searching for the serene singing echo of his lover, a song the former Jedi heard at last, like a calling melody from the Force; a bond he hadn't felt in ten years. He saw their faces in the corridor, some recognizable, some unknown, and as slowly he began to think relief was getting near, that there was no way to be found, all of his hopeful thoughts escaped his mind.
Because, there she was.
He faltered on his way to meet what was left of her, his legs moved by his own, his memoirs full of her, reminding him of what her lovely face used to look like when she was alive. Obi-Wan Kenobi didn’t know about being a lover opposed to the custom beliefs of his negotiation skills, but he knew about Compassion, and learned to love his friends and some of his enemies by equal, and that included her.
She was not his biggest rivalry, or the most revengeful, yet it pleased him to always have someone around to fight with, someone he could constantly think of outside the Council even if he had to use the "I'm planning my next move" as an excuse when he knew well that wasn't true, he could love her freely only behind closed doors in his more private thoughts and show it to her whenever he let go of her after enduring a tough fight, as he always awaited the moment of an encounter to see her again.
When the Clone Wars ended even that was gone.
He felt no guilt in falling for her, never, but he felt regretful day-dreaming with a life he couldn't have, that he couldn't give. He tried to be faithful to the Code in every aspect, and he mastered his duty, still behind his reputation and recognition, he was just a man. On the other hand, he felt the weight of not being there for her when she needed him; the Jedi Order asked high sacrifices and giving up on love to deny attachments was one of them.
Obi-Wan could imagine with immeasurable pain her cries for help, calling him in hopes of his arrival to save her from the gaits of abyss. Though that never happened.
Or maybe she fought with all her might like she knew so well, trying to stay alive a little longer, to hold on to dear life so they could fight one last time, or not fight at all, just see each other again as much as Obi-Wan awaited. With teary eyes, he looked at the unclean and tarnished glass, the reflection of his face mixed with hers, her figure black and blue, wilt and unmoving, hardly a faint reminiscence of her past self and the long gone tales about her.
He still remembered when he heard stories about her afterwards their first duel.
"Did anything bad happen at the meeting? I thought everything went exactly as expected, Master" Ahsoka asked Anakin, worried by the state of Master Kenobi.
Usually Dex's dining was a place they could go and relax after long missions like the one already passed, yet Obi-Wan sat zoned out with a frown in his face as he lightly touched his beard looking as stressed as ever; figuring out how he could almost lose after this new human-looking woman. Not able to forget her infuriated eyes, her graceful battle movements and the venomous red of her lightsaber. He could think she was atrocious; but that wasn't in his mind.
He was puzzled indeed, on her heavy pull in the Force and his own overthinking.
"Don't worry, everything went just fine. He fought with someone we've never seen and she escaped, I must say I thought she was going to win." Anakin held a grin.
Ahsoka formed an understanding look, in contrast to the General's dazzled expression.
"You know about her, Anakin?" Obi-Wan was intrigued and uneasy, desperate to understand what he had got into.
"She's a former Jedi, born in one of the moons of Iego, if she's good or evil I can't say." The young Skywalker lifted his brow mischievously, curious in the attention drawn from his Master.
"Didn't she attack General Kenobi? She must be a Sith'' concluded Ahsoka, suspicious of the woman's mysterious nature.
"I'm not sure, she helped me with some droids before attacking Obi-Wan," Anakin remembered their brief encounter, "an enemy wouldn't do that, she might be some kind of retired avenger?"
"Your Padawan is right, Anakin. Her techniques reside on the Dark Side." From the way she was holding her saber, her destructive energy and her eyes, an almost imperceptible yellow glow which couldn’t be appreciated properly by far. “Revenge is not the Jedi way”. HIs blue eyes locked with his apprentice's brown ones, reminding him what the titles must be.
"But she's not with the Separatists," Anakin replied, "I've informed the Chancellor and he assured he had never heard of her before. They’re looking out for her, whatever side she is on, she is wanted now".
"We must be careful then, these are difficult times. We mustn't fall into temptation". His tone was calm and seemed authoritative, but on the inside, worry flowed unsteady like the waters of Naboo.
Who knew the great Jedi Master Kenobi would hold such deep emotions towards a woman, that he displayed two faces to the Order he dedicated his life to. Like a hypocrite, he did not follow his own advice, and was slowly tempted by her.
Back in the present time; would it make any difference apologizing about slander behind her back to her now corpse? Undo her death? Or, lastly, make amends for all the lost time?
At first it was disdain and despite. How could she dare to try to go against the Jedi Order after being taught the ways of the Force? Such hatred could only be held by the Dark Side, shattered souls were the only ones who sought revenge, and she was one of those, representing everything he was against. However, after some encounters outside battle, it transformed into interest and appreciation…
He remembered vividly the times he saw her wandering the lowest levels of Coruscant, not with superiority or spreading hate contrary to the customs of the Sith lords, Obi-Wan felt the unextinguished light within her when she helped the people living there who didn't fear her. Unnaturally, he didn't feel disgusted; he had given himself reassurance believing she wholeheartedly wanted to do good still after all the pain she might have caused, he hoped for a small amount of salvation from her wrong doings. Maybe it wasn't too late for her.
She was a carefree spirit, so different to everything he was taught, she had no duties, no compromises, no promises to make, not rules to follow rigorously or set an example to other younglings. Free of do's and don'ts, unlike him who bear liability tattooed on his skin.
The false Freedom that was offered to her from the Dark Side seemed to quickly corrupt —if not completely, then at least,— the better parts of her being.
Eventually, it was expected from him to kill her when the first signs of their rivalry surfaced, everyone feared she would take his life away in the middle of a war where they couldn't afford to lose more Jedi's. Obi-Wan could nearly sense himself again sitting in his chair at the Temple reunited with the Council, listening to master Yoda and master Windu rambling about how daunting and threatening this new enemy was.
Regardless of the order, he did not want to get rid of her. Not when her life could be different; and even then he couldn't realize he was mirroring himself over this antagonized creature.
For his reputation he was glad, and found a certain comfort of fame, not unjustified, he was known around the galaxy as an heroic Jedi Knight, now becoming a Master. Up until now, life seemed to be for him nothing more than battle bad guys and just adventures which he liked yet, meant everything in a literal sense.
He was a strong, well-mannered, skillful and loyal member of the Jedi Council, he was known as stoic and undoubted, still he held thoughts like this, about another life, another path. Ever since Satine, he wasn't certainly the same, he thought about what ifs? instead of what's next? The Duchess opened a door he could never close on his own, eventually someone held it open, unintended of course, but who raises in him all doubts again.
He saw other’s common reality, civilian people living clueless lives, aware of the war but not fighting it; loving and caring like breathing, no vigilance or vows of no attachments, feeling completely with no fear of losing themselves in hatred and wrath; the Force was a gift he learned to accept in exchange for love.
Obi-Wan Kenobi gave everything for the Jedi way, even before Satine, it was his choice to dedicate his life to a greater good, a purpose he didn't regret fulfilling as it was the only that he knew. Although he regretted the emotional damage those feelings provoked, after meeting his hedonistic beloved, he regretted not being able to have both.
Love and peace, attachment and duty, to hold both titles with the same pride. Jedi Master and husband.
Returning his mind where it has to, looking at her one last time, eyes wide open holding pure rage in her face, legs and arms in an attack position, made him think he has lost something again, perhaps her whole being as well. The chance to be different, to renounce one of the last pieces of his past after rescuing Leia and start that long search he didn’t begun ten years ago when the Jedi Order disappeared to restart his life.
The search had ended prior to beginning.
Again, in his way it was proven there was no awaiting love for him, only infinite sadness.
He wished he knew more about her, perhaps, of her other life, the one before all the turmoil and not only the single prism of her scars. Now she was like everything after the Jedi's, an intrusive thought of his old life; the living nightmare before going to sleep.
What would he give to fight her one last time? As in the ardent past that preceded them.
Oh— he could still savor the soft viper tongue of her beloved's words, cocky remarks dripping from her lips like the sweet nectar of a flower, the taste of her sugar-coated sarcasm, even her Force signature was like a field of sassy roses with sharp thorns. To him, she had this lovable side, one that showed in the rarest moments, the essential ones indeed; when malignant forces displayed to attack him, she transformed into a caring ally.
Like one of the last times he saw her.
"Hello there." She mocked Obi-Wan's greeting, like every time they saw each other.
Obi-Wan turned around to face her, admiring once again her features, her dusky skin, thin lips and big golden eyes covered in rough black eyeliner. She ignited her red lightsaber, posturing to defend herself. Obi-Wan mimicked her, his cyan one ready to dance against hers.
“Long time since the last I saw you”, with a sincere tone, waiting for her strike, Obi-Wan wished to just talk with her like two friends that loved the other like lovers do.
“Not long enough”, she attacked first, aware of the hesitant hold of Kenobi’s lightsaber in his hand.
She could see he didn’t want to really harm her. So she settled in the mood for play, like the thousand times before when their brutal encounters had been nothing more than child’s play, a lightsaber dance that lasted as long as the battalions around them were able to.
She liked to win, and just to tease him, from time to time she left Obi-Wan battle marks, at first it was her way to put a symbol on him, so that everyone would see that she had defeated him, over time they became violent kisses that would last burning his skin in the form of scars merely for him, so he could see her headstrong love impregnated in him like poison at every glance to his naked form in the mirror.
The noise of their lightsabers striking each other was quickly lost by their companions on the field and as they moved away from the rest of the opponents, their fight diminished in intensity, barely reducing to a couple of brushes until they reached the edge of a cliff. Obi-Wan thought it was the perfect moment to promise her another fight and let her go, there were enough witnesses of her arrival and their encounter, and they were already too far from the starting point, no one would suspect he set her free.
Until…
She slipped from a rock. He took her hand and then her forearm, lifting her upper body to steady her steps and safe from the fall. He realized she was afraid of heights, and more than surprised or judgmental, he was endeared.
“For someone who jumps a lot, you seem afraid,” he pointed out mockingly at her reaction, both searching for her lightsaber on the ground.
She stayed silent as he inspected the edge of the cliff to check how mortal the fall would have been if he didn’t prevent it. He turned to see her look at the void so terrified, it didn’t produce any satisfaction or joy to see her in a state of trepidation.
“That was close,” breathlessly, she held onto Obi-Wan’s arms fearing to let go.
“Well, you could’ve just pushed me and we would be dead now,” he suggested to test a reaction out from her, her eyes lifted up to interlock with him, thinking he was out of his mind.
She didn’t think of really killing him, not now nor ever, she raised her brows surprised he would say that, but he proved already he wouldn’t do that to her. She composed her demeanor, getting far from his position, to not do something on impulse and not risk herself to slip and fall.
“Maybe I don’t want you completely dead, that would be my dead.” Her cheeks turned into flames, making her self-conscious of her own words. She was not used to being flirty in combat, she hid in aggression, though the feelings Kenobi aroused in her were foreign; she didn’t want to stop feeling them. "Because of the fall, don't get me wrong Kenobi", she justified.
Obi-Wan's reaction was just as neat as hers, a little smile appearing on his face, it was not in amusement.
He cared for her, enough to worry if she was safe wherever she was, to wonder what spending a day with her company must feel like or to talk past life threats or flirty tactics to distract one another. To share knowledge, to share feelings, to share the same space in existence.
His furrowed brow marked the start of some more teasing.
Strangely, she wasn't prepared for order 66 or its repercussions.
Because the very last time Obi-Wan saw her alive they were trying to save the other from the attack, he wanted to turn back time, to take her to Tatooine with him, to restart like she suggested too many times, to please every thought she shared through their bond about life together, but none of it was possible.
Even though he wanted to dedicate his life to her, finding her would have been his biggest obstacle. He made a promise to her, but he had a bigger vow.
Their dreams were impalpable, insane and improper from the moment of their conception, caught in the spectrum of imagination and destined to die in the back of their minds as if they were mere ideas. Crazy, never growing beyond their heads, ideas.
Although contrasting, the life of a Jedi and a Sith boiled down to the same thing, abandoning yourself to choose a life of service. Obi-Wan Kenobi was never a man who escaped from duty, and taking care of Padme and Anakin's children wasn't the exception. He was now voluntarily linked to the boy and his sister.
And her last doings, mysterious, kept with secrecy, remained unconcluded with the clash of the Order 66. So they did what they must and parted ways. Didn't matter how much it hurted them, if no one knew about what they had, they still could pretend they had nothing else to lose.
Notwithstanding the disaster, Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't prepared to lose her too. He withdrew himself from the glass where the apparent corpse of his hedonistic beloved rested quietly, incapable of staring at it one second more, desperate to feel her. Duty wasn't over and he had to save Leia from the Inquisitors still.
Silently saying goodbye to his key piece, his last ray of fresh sunshine who's illusion served him to endure the burning suns of Tatooine, he caressed with his digits where her name was written in the keypad and stepped out of the tomb, unable to see the last wonder he had done to her. Her hidden vital signals — not traced by him blinded by his wounded emotions — and how her body became one with the Force finally disappearing in relative peace.
He set her free.

Watching Padme's Future
Chapter 1
NOTE: BLUE LETTERS IS THE VISION/FUTURE
This does not follow the original timeline, I might do a story like that later on, but this completely AU. Skywalker chaos mostly, lol.
~~~~~~~~~
"LUKE!" A female voice shouted. A girl appeared with brown curls styled into a braided bun, wearing nothing but a robe. A glare formed as her brown eyes settled on the blonde boy relaxing on the couch.
"Where are my clothes?! I know you hid them so don't you dare lie to me."
"Force, Leia, I'm trying to relax," replied Luke, rolling his blue eyes, "And besides we don't have training today, it's a weekend,” he ignored his sister’s fuming and resumed playing his holo games.
"I know that nerf herder, but my entire wardrobe is empty! Where did you hide them?"
Angry at the lack of response, Leia Force pushed him into the wall and summoned her lightsaber to her hand.
"What did you do that for!" he cried out.
Leia ignored him and twirled her lightsaber in response.
Luke, who groaned, called his lighter as well. The two siblings raced forward together and their lightsabers clashed together creating a dance of blue and green colors.
People gasped and whispered.
Holocameras flashed and clicked at a great speed, that for a moment all you could see was white.
“What’s going on–”
“The senator has Force-sensitive children!”
Jobal looked mortified, “Padme, what’s going on?”
The senator looked at her mother, “I’m not sure but I believe everything will be alright.”
Ruwee became slightly flustered, unable to comprehend anything.
"This is most disturbing," said Master Windu, "why would we allow the children to be in contact with their mother if they already started their training?”
Ahsoka looked at the two children of Senator Amidala and wondered what was so special about them.
Anakin, though quiet, was feeling proud at his future children’s display of fighting.
A brown haired girl walked to the living room shaking her head, taking a sip of faeri juice.
"Ahem?” She waved her hand, knocking both Luke and Leia off their feet, “you know what mom says about using lightsabers in the house? Don’t you?” Her hand was firmly placed on her hip, her head tilted as she smirked.
A padawan looked awed, “I didn’t know you could do that.”
“It’s highly unlikely you could knock someone off balance using the Force when you are less skilled…” Obi-wan muttered, “she must be strong.”
Many Jedi Masters were already planning on how to approach the senator regarding the matter of her Force-sensitive children. Having two was rare, but three? What made them so special?
Facing away from each other, they apologized reluctantly,
"Mom, Luke and Leia were fighting again!"
Leia looked scandalized.
"Shmi," Luke hissed.
Shmi laughed, unperturbed by their glares.
Anakin looked down, his fist clenched at his side.
We–Padme honored my mother…
"Master?" Ahsoka questioned, her white facial marks furrowed in confusion.
He exhaled, "...Shmi was my mother's name."
Obi-wan stroked his beard.
“Shmi, I love that name,” Sola muttered, her parents also agreeing.
Padme smiled at the name, knowing how important it is to her husband.
"Luke, Leia, how many times do I have to tell you you're not little kids any more," Padme chastised, her figure walking into the room, arms crossed. Following behind her, seven others emerged.
A blonde boy hopped on the couch, laughing with amusement, “you guys really need to stop fighting,” imitating his mother’s scolding.
“Qui-gon, don’t instigate.”
Qui-gon? Obi-wan felt as if he forgot to breathe, the dear senator named her son after his master.
Palpatine, who just smiled and nodded as he watched, was fuming with fury that he had to contain. If the blasted senator has this many kids, then his plan must’ve failed. What went wrong?
Coming over quickly to the couch, a mini female version of Anakin grabbed the remote and turned to her favorite channel.
“Master!”
“I know, Ahsoka.”
Many Jedi Masters stole a glance at the Jedi Knight and the senator, slowly putting the dots together.
“Aleena, why must you have a turn? It’s my turn now,” whined another brunette.
“Adira, stop complaining,” Aleena muttered, huffing softly.
Padme, only shook her head, leaving the room to her children, not all worried.
A brown haired, blue eyed boy gave Luke a controller, “wanna play?” his voice was quiet.
Luke smiled, ruffling his younger brother’s hair, “why not.”
The two sat on the floor, enjoying themselves.
“I’ll get you next time, nerfherder,” Leia shook her head, patting Luke’s hair in fondness.
Grinning at the challenge, Luke only promised that he will remain the victor.
“Fighting out of anger, they were not, only friendly sparring they engaged,” Master Yoda revealed, his glimmer stick hitting the ground twice.
Anakin knew as much, the sparring his eldest children engaged in looked like the ones he and Obi-wan would do.
“But, still, where are my clothes?”
“My closet. Bottom left corner.”
Leia turned around and ran into her blue eyed sister.
“Can we do something after you get dressed?” large, wide eyes seemed to sparkle as she begged.
“Sure, Lyra, we can.”
“Yay!”
The scene changed, showing Padme out in the veranda, sipping caf while she took a look at the reports.
Sola heaved a sigh, “why are you always working? I’m surprised you even have that many kids!”
Padme only shook her head, it was a wonder how no one seemed to realize who the father is.
Two young figures appeared through the doorway spotting their mother.
A young boy ruffled his sandy blonde hair, doing a shushing motion to his sister who nodded.
Tiptoeing behind their mother, slowly they moved closer and closer moving their hands to the woman.
“Aadaya, Kane, I know you’re behind me,” Padme commented nonchalantly, not taking her eyes off the datapad in her hands.
Shock was the only feature that was written on the youngest pair of twin’s faces.
“How did you know?” Kane gasped.
“Use the Force, you can not,” Aadaya frowned, copying Master Yoda’s way of speech.
Peals of laughter float across the crowd.
“I counted ten kids,” noted Kit Fisto, his hands on his hips as he grinned.
Aayla looked around her, noticing that Anakin had a small smile. Why was he smiling?
“...Seeing as how young Aadaya copied Master Yoda’s speech, is it safe to assume that she’s been around him long enough to do so?” Ki-Adi Mundi wondered aloud. Mace nodded in agreement.
“That would mean that the father of Senator Amidala’s children is…a Jedi.”
Shock stunned everyone, soon enough many bets were placed on who the father was.
Obi-wan rubbed his temple, I might have an idea on who the father is.
Padme laughed, “you’ve been around Master Yoda for too long, just be careful, your father would have a fit.”
Once again, there was a stunned silence.
“This just proves that the senator is involved with a Jedi.”
“But she knows better.”
“The highly respected senator would never involve herself with such a scandal!”
Wincing as the comments grew louder, Padme only hoped that future scenes would–could–sway their thoughts.
Aadaya giggled, “no promises.”
Kane plopped himself next to his mother, “what are you reading?”
“Boring senatorial stuff, people complain way too often.”
“Then why be a senator? Dad says the senate never gets anything done, and it’s such a headache to even try to comprehend what comes out of their mouth,” the young girl says matter of factly, her face was serious as she walked around the couch, sitting on an empty space.
Despite the situation, many continued to laugh.
“The senator involving herself with a man who hates politics? Absurd.”
Once again, Obi-wan knew the answer, an answer he dreaded and prayed every second that it wasn’t true.
“I know it sounds dreadful, but the satisfaction you feel after you know that you’ve helped someone is amazing.”
Loud cheers and shouts were heard. This just made Senator Amidala’s ratings skyrocket, no matter if she had an affair with a Jedi.
“Come, help me make dinner, your dad is bound to come with a stomach rumbling like a shaak rolling around on the plains of Naboo,” Padme rose from the couch, eliciting giggles from her youngest children.
The three left the veranda, laughing loudly as they did so.
My current feelings on the T9S ships (updated)
I made this a few months ago and I thought since s2 is out, I can do this again.
Jay/Leia - I ship them even harder this season than the last because we get to see just how rock solid their relationship is. It’s like how Formciotti was a budding relationship in s1 and in s2, we see them mature. And I love their ‘I love you' arc! It’s so angsty and obstacle filled yet so them! I love how much Jay was willing to do to prove that he's changed. I can easily say that after watching this season that I can’t imagine Jay nor Leia with anyone else.
Gwen/Nikki - Still my otp of otps. I'm so happy to see more scenes of them just like I wanted. Nikki actually gets upset at Gwen for lying and the latter apologizes and is there for her. Their plot in Baby Baby Baby was also SO GOOD. It just proves why Gwen is Nikki's best option. Gwen challenges Nikki to get out of her comfort zone, and take risks. And Nikki is good for Gwen too! I feel like aside from Cole, Nikki really brought out Gwen's soft side this season. I actually have a feeling they'll end up being a thing. I hope they do.
Gwen/Cole - They were so sweet together imo. I loved seeing Gwen navigate a relationship for the first time, and I really like Cole. He’s such a sweetheart and makes Gwen really happy. I hope we see more of them in part 3. This is the only valid het ship for Gwen as far as I’m concerned.
Gwen/Leia - I love their dynamic, but I don’t ship them romantically anymore this season. They had cute moments, but for the most part, that romantic tension was gone this season. I do love seeing their friendship growing stronger and they truly remind me of Jackie and Donna, especially in the episode where Leia gives Gwen relationship advice.
Nikki/Leia - I honestly don’t know. I like how things were handled with them when it came to the Nate shit, and I loved their hug in the premiere 🥰. I'm not exactly in love with Nikki saying that Leia was "clueless" and like "a doll that was wished to life yesterday" (she’s not wrong tho since girlie was sheltered after till '95 😂) and obviously there’s the Nate stuff haha. But I like the bones we got and I think it'll be cool to see more of them in part 3.
Jay/Ozzie - I love their friendship, but I can’t see them romantically anymore, even if I didn’t only see Jay and Leia with each other 😂. I don’t see Ozzie being into Jay tbh, but who knows? Anything can happen.
Ozzie/Etienne - Etienne, you dickhead lol. Him dumping Ozzie through a phone call is so shitty and Ozzie deserves better.
Jay/Nate - Still love them. Even though Jeia is my heart, I still get Janate feels haha. I love how Jay was there for Nate during his breakup with Nikki. One thing about Jay Kelso is unlike his father, he's loyal as fuck haha. I really love their friendship in this season and I can’t wait to see more in part 3. No one gets Nate the way Jay does.
Nate/Leia - At this point, I only want them as Hyde/Donna friendship. Them being a couple at this point imo would make no sense. Both of them admitted it was just a heat of the moment thing and that they want Nikki and Jay. They still have great chemistry tho haha.
Nate/Nikki - I like their storyline a lot better this season. With them finally breaking up, Nate apologizing to Nikki, and their fwb arc. And they were so carefree and happy around one another.
But as a couple, I don’t want them back. It's like, they both are still on different pages when it comes to their futures; and I've talked how I believe that Nikki's current views on her future make them more incompatible so I'm not gonna do that again haha. Plus I feel like if they got back together, all that carefreeness and joy would be gone and they'd go back to constantly fighting.
I much rather them as friends or fwb than them becoming a couple again.
Luke/Leia! (ik you ship it, I just want to hear your answers to the questions)
Ship It
1.) What made you ship it?
Obviously I ship it. I shipped it from the first time I saw Star Wars. Luke was obviously crazy about her from the moment he saw her hologram and she was drawn to him. I think Leia, being more worldly, was more easily able to resist her attraction, but as Luke grew and matured into a man she was growing more and more fond of him. I loved the way they supported each other. I loved that they were friends and close without being all overtly obvious romantic. The friends to lovers is my jam. They were perfect, finding each other's strengths and weaknesses. Growing ever fonder without this unrealistic/unromantic Hollywood lens of "I'm hot; you're hot, obviously let's fuck." They had share traumas. They were each other's found family. They got along so nicely, unlike Han/Leia who constantly bickering and fought. They were just so stable. The obvious choice.
2.) What are your favorite things about the ship?
I love that they are both Force sensitive and twins. It can help enhance their romantic and sexual chemistry. Nothing hotter than that psychic link during sex, lol. I love how they tend to be each other's foil. They compliment each other very well. They are really two sides of the same coin. I love that they are on the same side, but approach things differently. I love the way they communicate and temper each other. I just love everything about them and the way they orbit each other. I think they were designed to complement and complete each other. I think the Force fucked up with Anakin as The Chosen One and redid it creating Luke and Leia, so they would balance each other and their love would keep them pure.
3.) Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Shipping them alone is unpopular because it's incest. So. 🤷♂️ I also very much want them to have kids together, which I think is part of the Force's intention in making male/female twins, and there are definitely those who ship them so long as there aren't incest kids... but this is space incest and the Force so you can easily handwave genetic issues... plus, that usually only has issues in multigenerational incest.
sooooooouuuuuu...Spider Ren AU? c: Tell us more about whats going through your mind, pleae? c:<
sooooouuu... there's not a lot going through my mind. butter-brained here. LOL.
edit- 'not a lot':
i like to think spider-ren would retain most of kylo ren's story with a few caveats. there being no (and being no need for) jedi/sith/knight equivalents. there would be the inspideying incident, though i have a soup of vague ideas about how that happens. is he bit by a radioactive spider? maybe. but how does that spider get there? he's obviously not going to visit an entomologist's lab on a school trip. it would have to happen to him while he was doing something he was not supposed to be doing, or it'd have to be unleashed on him. maybe snoke is a bond-style villain who keeps radioactive aminals as pets. he hangs out in a gold robe in his tiger king mansion.
ren's more vigilante at first. he'd probably be a lot like (year one) batman. in his head he's the hero but his idea of justice falls outside the law. and unlike batman (the ones who make sense, not all-star batman or batfleck (bless him)) is brutal. the death of his father, which he causes either directly or indirectly, idk, would be the event that leads him to change his approach. his uncle ben moment, but instead of 'with great power comes...' it's 'don't ever let the other guy shoot first.' (han, dying: 'at least the kid's light on his feet.')
*as for why he chooses to punish 'bad people...' that's another mysterious soup. maybe he goes to uncle luke (living and well) because he can't approach his parents about the white stuff and the fur—IT ISN'T WHAT YOU THINK—and luke convinces him to do something meaningful with his new abilities. this could be the 'with great power...' moment. but then luke lives and becomes spider-ren's secret familial compatriot. (leia: 'you knew about this and you ENCOURAGED IT?? my son's getting shot at by a police militia with LASER BEAMS.')
the setting? new york. futuristic new york, a coruscanti new york. very batman beyond, very johnny mnemonic. no flying cars but sky-high interstates. very fun to swing around.
there are definitely lizard people in spider-ren's new york (possibly the real one too). one of them might be curt connors.
Scream 3 (2000)
Smoking: Splatter
This is the 3rd movie in the franchise and they are making the 3rd movie “Stab” during it.
Something that I guess I wouldn’t have thought of. The Voice is the same (at least in the first 3 movies) played by Roger Jackson.
I will say unlike the first 2 movies this movie doesn’t have as famous of a person dying. I’ve never seen Kelly Rutherford in anything else. At least that I know of. Maybe to others she is, I just looked at her list and she was on a show called Melrose Place. I’ve heard of it, but never seen it. She was also in the original Gossip Girl. Which I’ve seen but I don’t recognize her 🤣
I wanna know what Neve Campbell does to afford a house that nice in the middle of no where with all the security that she has. I don’t see how a Women’s Crisis Center would pay for that. I guess in the 2000’s it was a bit cheaper because it totally isn’t now. Especially in California.
Courtney Cox’s bangs… she let a 4-year-old do her hair? Looks awful, just like that meme about it 😂
We’ve got Kenny from the Cosby Show! Welcome Deon Richmond to your death 🤣 well I’m pretty sure he does lol. We will find out for sure in a little bit.
Tell me how I forgot that Jay and Silent Bob are in this!?! My favorite stoners! “Who smokes the blunts? We smoke the blunts!” 🎶🎶
Why is the ghost face make that is huge and hanging a lime green color? It’s supposed to be white…
Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg drops an award on the floor and breaks the head off. I laughed so hard 😂 foreshadowing? You’re literally on a movie lot and she’s trying to use knives to attack the killer, then she is surprised they’re fake. Like come on JMW.
Hmmm David Arquette’s bad arm switched… In the second movie it was his right arm… now it’s his left.
Love that Patrick Warburton is in this! Kronk is THE BEST! He’s a bit of a jerk, but I mean he’s a security guard for famous people, so I’m sure he’s a bit jaded. Hehehehe he steals the larger change from DA. Takes a frying pan to the head and a knife to the back. Still walks around and then dies in front of everyone.
Tells you how old this movie is, Parker Posey has a fax machine in her house 🤣
The eternally beautiful Carrier Fisher, even in the movie she talks about Princess Leia. Though she is stating that she didn’t get the part, but you know she did 😂 made a joke about sleeping with George Lucas, wonder how much basis there is for that? I know that he convinced her that in space there wouldn’t be a need for bras. So, who knows, maybe it is true 🤔
If this is about Stab 3, then why is the set up almost like exactly as the deaths in the first one? You had blood on the doggy door in the garage door for Rose McGowan’s death…
NC is carrying around pepper spray… if the killer is wearing a mask then how would it penetrate? Though I guess if it is some kind of soft cloth with holes it would make sense it would go through. But IDK seems suspicious to me.
Patrick Dempsey is really good at playing creepy and suspicious. I’ve heard that really, he’s a dickhead. Which I could totally see that. He kind of gives off dickhead vibes.
Snack time! Apple Pie, with whip cream and chocolate sauce 🤤
DR gets stabbed in the stomach and tires to run away. Nice little flip on the rug. Then over the balcony to die when he hits the ground. At least his wasn’t like a super easy death, right? He had a semi fighting chance.
So out of all the times through out the series that the killer gets knocked out this movie is my favorite. He is laying at the bottom of the stairs and as he’s, I guess dreaming, he goes, stab stab around him 🤣
Don’t understand why when PD opens the door, he has the gun come out first. Like what are you going to do? Shoot blindly? Risk hitting RC instead?
Just realized I haven’t even mentioned who the killer is in this. Maybe I will just leave it a “secret” even though I said what I did about the first one 😝 oh well.
🤣 She mentions Stab 3 and then stabs the killer a 3rd time.
Alright, that’s all for this review!
I was yesterday years old when I found out people genuinely think Poe and Rey hate each other...... Did we watch the same movies? Excuse me, those two and Finn and die-hard best friends!!! 😭
I'm not a shipper so that's why I'm saying best friends.
Yeah, unfortunately so. It annoyed me enough I actually made a gifset showing her and Poe's friendship once, lol. A big problem I think is just...shipping culture? They're both part of big ships (neither of which I will mention) and so a lot of the time, in fanon they're characterized as just sort of....either tolerating the other or barely "friends" with a couple of connections that keep each other in their lives.
And while I'm personally a big damerey shipper, their friendship always comes first for me - and it baffles me that people think they don't like each other. Yes, our first scene is them arguing, but my god, they're both so eminently enjoying their bickering match. Look at Poe's eyes, he's barely restraining the urge to grin when they first start, because despite his genuine frustration with Rey's reaction/BB-8/his very shitty day, he's having fun. And Rey doesn't even bother to try to hide it, she's got a shit-eating grin on her face.
BUT THEN!!!! When their bickering turns into a serious argument, can we talk about the fact that Rey is fine with him walking away? She doesn't seem worried about whether or not Poe will come back for her, in fact she isn't surprised when he seeks her out after the briefing (which she uses as the opportunity to ensure they're on good terms before she leaves), the only thing she's surprised by is that Poe and Finn plan to go with her.
They're friends!!! They're friends with similar temperaments and who exasperate each other for fun, and also butt heads frequently because of their similarities (not unlike how Poe and Leia do, and wow, don't get me started on how they share Leia as a mentor), but that doesn't mean they dislike each other. Utterly batshit to me, to think they don't just because they bicker, cos it's not as if bickering is The Love Language in Star Wars or anything....
#i-belong-to-the-stars#ask box#i have opinions on this!!! sorry!!!!!!!!#also i'm staunchly jedistormpilot is a qpr first and foremost so of course i get in my feels about their friendships#(oh and!!! i did very much get your headcanons i just tjojtoka i'm very ace and shy so i might not answer spicy ones - no harm done! - but#yes i very much agree with you)
Star Wars (1977) #02: Six Against the Galaxy
Roy Thomas, May 10 1977
What's not to love about this cover? Obi-Wan's red (pink?) "lightsabre". Luke straight up shooting a guy. The colors. The poses. The creatures. The mug (do seedy bars serve drinks in mugs??). And of course, "LUKE SKYWALKER STRIKES BACK!"
Also lol at wookieepedia throwing shade
The second page graces us with a majestic unconscious Luke, who even looks like a teen for once:
The scene in Ben's home - rather uncharitably referred to as a hovel by the narration - plays out in a different order of events from the final film - first Leia's message, then a discussion of Ben's past. I'm actually not sure why they ended up switching them - Artoo's message seems like the obvious place to start a conversation and Leia's mention of Ben's clone wars history is a good segue into the rest of the revelations.
The contents of the message are also somewhat different from the movie, and omit or change quite a bit from the fourth draft of the screenplay as well:
So in this version, Bail's name is still Antillies (not even Antilles) and Ben served the Old Republic, not him specifically as she says in the film. In the script the Rebellion is also explicitly referred to as the Alliance to restore the Republic (unlike the films, which use the terms Rebel Alliance and Rebellion). I don't really know what to make of Ben being called both a general and commander in the same context but whatever. Interesting that the iconic line "you're my only hope" is a later change - still, there is some inconsistency with the first issue:
I find it kinda funny how "the Force" is always in quotation marks. No version of the screenplay I've seen does this so I'll just assume it's all Mr. Thomas.
The discovery of the destroyed sandcrawler plays out like in the film. Afterwards we get Luke shouting for Aunt Beru and Uncle Ben:
Roy Thomas did write Spider-Man comics and it's cute so I'll forgive it. Let's say that Luke is in a lot of distress and just received lots of weird information about his heritage and maybe his comic version sees Ben as more of an uncle figure than Owen at this point idk
I'll also highlight this panel just because Luke's pretty in it:
In the cantina we finally get the fight promised by the cover. The alien who seems to have a problem with Luke (I don't want to call the character Ponda Baba as he lacks both the soulfull eyes and mandibles) says his line from the script (which is apparently still an actual quote as seen in the novelization, though I don't see how it relates to what is said/growled in the movie. Maybe Aqualish or whatever language is spoken here just has a unique transcribing system I guess). The rest of his lines seem to originate in this comic though. I also enjoy the "we have the death sentence on 12 systems", which differs from both the fourth draft and final film. They're besties ❤.
Yeah Ben just bisected those two. Alright.
Next, Chewbacca makes his appearance! I'm not sure why the narration feels the need to insult his looks though.
The bartender seems to be less enthusiastic about his snitching than in the film or script. The line interesting me here is the one about Han obviously not having a lightsaber - why is that obvious? Sure he's a loser but that's just mean. And why couldn't Chewie be the one slicing people up.
This might be a longshot but I've been fascinated by the third draft and the idea that "laser-swords" are much more common. Maybe this scene is a holdover from that?
Next we get the Greedo scene. His death is beautiful (the colors? the shading? the exploding lines? the pose?) and the fact that Han has his blaster in full view seems to imply he's just an insanely quick draw. 10/10 no notes.
Han's next scene is not quite as cool - in fact, it's the horrible deleted Jabba scene that never should have existed. I'll take it though, just for the awful early Jabba design.
I mean just looks at this yellow otter-walrus thing with terrible fashion sense. I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible to feel threatened by him.
I also greatly enjoy this interpretation of star destroyers. Why can't they fly like this in the films...
The banter inside the ship is pretty much word for word movie dialogue. I do love this 3PO pose:
And the final panel is honestly amazing!
Though that ship definitely needs greebling.
Closing remarks: this issue is kind of light on weird He-Man Luke. His incredible expressions make up for it though.
