The thing about jonmartin is that Martin wants to be a romantic, he loves poetry and probably watches romance but for him it is a fantasy, a silly game he plays. Martin is at his core very cynical. Things don't work out for him so he doesn't really belive in romance, it is a pretty dream but that's it. He is pratical and realist. Dating Jon he has to remind himself it is real and he actually struggles with romantic gestures, it is something he has to remind himself to do, to remind himself he can do even and honestly who even has the energy and what if Jon doesn't even like it?

Jon on the other hand wants to be cynical. His first coping mechanism was pretend the things he was afraid of weren't real and goddam if he isn't afraid of love. It didn't really work to him so far so it's easy to pretend he doesn't care. But he is a romantic at heart. He saw love and he read about it and he has enough evidence that it is undeniable. And to be honest Jon was always to much a bunch of mushy feelings hidden in a grumpy (and bitter and afraid) trench coat. Dating Martin he has to hold himself so he isn't too much. He plays the grumpy unromantic guy at first. But he just can't stop giving flowers and planing dates (this is the guy that saw a theme park on a fear domain and considered how he wanted to take Martin to a romantic ferris whell date [until he discovered Martin was afraid of them]) and making all the silly things one does when in love.

TR: Martin is deep down very cynical about love but wants to/pretends to be a romantic and Jon is deep down very romantic but wants to/pretends to be cynical about love.

Hello hello hello✨❄️ After so many requests, The Ineffable Calendar is coming!

Over the past few months, many of you (more than I honestly expected) have asked/proposed/requested a calendar with my fav personal illustrations and fanarts from Good Omens, especially the Ineffable Husbands. How could I refuse?

I must say I had several problems organising it - especially in following my initial idea of making a physical calendar to be printed and sent out - but in the end I had to opt for an alternative solution. The idea of a physical calendar has proved terribly complex, economically for me as well as for you (the shipping costs from my country were tremendously high and the conditions too uncertain). Also, personally, my emotional/mental energy and personal commitments suffered.

So what to do, give up? Absolutely not.

So, I was thinking of proposing a more effective, less stressful and more convenient alternative for everyone: the printable calendar!

Right now, I'm currently organizing the last details, I would eventually open a sales platform soon: I'm deciding between my Ko-Fi or, maybe, Etsy or something similar. We'll see, we'll see.✨

The adoption center was surprisingly warm and cheery for Christmas Eve. Strings of fairy lights twinkled along the walls, and the soft hum of Christmas carols filled the air. Rows of kennels lined the room, each housing wagging tails, curious noses, and hopeful eyes.

Percy stood beside you, his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets as he scanned the room. “So, why exactly are we doing this today? Don’t people usually wait until Christmas morning for surprises?”

You shot him a knowing smile. “Because I couldn’t wait. And because I thought we could pick one out together.”

At that, his sea-green eyes softened. “You really want me to help choose?”

“Of course! It’s going to be our dog.”

Percy grinned, his cheeks tinged pink from the cold. “Alright, let’s do this.”

You walked down the rows of kennels, pausing to greet the pups inside. Some barked excitedly, others wagged their tails so hard it seemed they might take off. Then, near the end of the row, you stopped.

A tiny, scruffy puppy with big grey eyes sat quietly in its kennel, its head tilted curiously as it stared up at you. You crouched down, your heart melting instantly.

“This one,” you said softly.

Percy knelt beside you, peering into the kennel. “He’s kind of small, isn’t he?”

You rolled your eyes. “That’s part of his charm! Look at him, he’s perfect.”

The adoption worker came over, unlocking the kennel and carefully placing the puppy in your arms. He wriggled excitedly, licking your face and wagging his tail so hard you had to laugh.

Percy reached out a hand to pet him. “Hey, little guy.”

The puppy froze mid-wag, turning to look at Percy. For a moment, there was silence. Then, with a sharp bark, the puppy twisted away from Percy’s hand, burying its head against your chest.

You blinked in surprise. “What. That’s…weird.”

Percy pulled his hand back, looking equal parts amused and offended. “What the, did he just reject me?” You couldn’t help but laugh. “I’m sure he’s just nervous. Maybe he senses your… um… chaotic energy?”

“Chaotic energy?” Percy scoffed, crossing his arms. “I’m a hero. Dogs love heroes!”

The puppy gave a soft growl, as if to disagree, and snuggled closer to you. You bit your lip to keep from laughing again. “I think he loves me more.”

Percy groaned dramatically. “Great. I’m being replaced by an eight-pound puppy.”

You leaned over, nudging him with your shoulder. “Don’t be so dramatic. He’ll warm up to you.”

Percy raised an eyebrow. “And if he doesn’t?”

You smiled sweetly. “Then I guess he’s my dog.”

Percy shook his head, but there was a smile tugging at his lips. “Alright, fine. But I’m not sharing my bed with him if he keeps giving me that attitude.”

The puppy barked again, wagging his tail like he understood. Percy sighed, muttering, “This is going to be a long Christmas.”

Still, as you carried the puppy out of the adoption center, Percy slipped his arm around your shoulders, his grumbling softened by the sight of your joy. He might not have won over the puppy yet, but as far as he was concerned, your smile was worth the trouble.

Story idea # 9

The Chain’s having fun day off.

They’ve found a ball and throwing it around. Sadly, some throw it harder than the others and Wind ends up striking Time pretty damn roughly right into chest. He crashes down hard and doesn’t get up.

The Chain freaks out, especially Warriors, and they dash over. Warriors and Legend handles CPR while Wind’s entirely shocked and blaming himself while fully fearing to have killed Time. Luckily Time is saved.

“Damn. Remind me never to get between Wind and his throw.” Time chuckles a bit before already getting Wind into a hug. The kid breaks down in his arms. “You got a mean throw, Pirate.” Time comments while reassuring the boy of everything being alright. “For the record, it might be best not to use Power Bracelets and such when just having fun.”

There's some science to February's bonus day!!

Every four years, during a leap year, the imperfect match between the length of a calendar year and Earth's orbit result in a calendar adjustment known as a leap day.

The length of a year is based on how long it takes a planet to revolve around the Sun. Earth takes about 365.2422 days to make one revolution around the Sun. That's about six hours longer than the 365 days that we typically include in a calendar year. As a result, every four years we have about 24 extra hours that we add to the calendar at the end of February in the form of leap day.

Without leap day, the dates of annual events, such as equinoxes and solstices, would slowly shift to later in the year, changing the dates of each season. After only a century without leap day, summer wouldn't start until mid-July!
