Daisuke to me represents the type of person who you have to bottle up your pain around because they are ill equipped to handle it. He would realistically not know what to do realizing that among the people he idolizes one is this horrendous monster, especially since he is so optimistic to a hazardous level to himself.

Bloodborne is seriously the most beautiful game of all time i think about this every single time i replay it but genuinely. Just exploring yharnam and staring in awe at how gorgeous everything is, its never about graphics, bloodborne has a noticeable stylization i think in a way even stronger than other fromsoft games, and the use of lighting and color palettes is just so good it makes me want to Be there. The game is already so stunning as it is ingame but i think having access to the map viewer on my own to the side made me appreciate it even more i love seeing the way everything is constructed and put together with just the flat textures before applying any engines and even as flat surfaces you can just feel the cohesion in the backgrounds, even textureless stripped of everything that makes it "beautiful" it still feels so unique and already gets the vibe across and that explains how the game feels the way it does visually, which is something i think a lot of current gen "high fidelity" games struggle with. Hard to explain what I mean but I feel it. Also i love the slight like chromatic aberration effect bb has on the edges of the screen it adds such a nice touch to the atmosphere honestly. The spray from the waves crashing and beating against the hull of your trawler catches on your beard and trickles over your lips, as you skip over the waves in pursuit of the wavering horizon line, the frantic chase toward a rumor that drips thick and coagulated in your ear using the Collector’s voice.

It’s easy to mark the confluence of the Twisted Strand, as you approach it. The droplets of water tastes sweet on your tongue, when you wet your wind-chapped lips and pull up to the Merchant’s dock, and as though the salt had been stripped away to lay bare that sickly-sweetness, water that had once been fresh but now tasted like rot. You wonder where the water comes from.

As you probe deeper into the strand, you are burdened by the weight of your curiosity—just where does this freshwater come from? The fish here are adapted to it, species that live well in brackish-fresh water: catfish, gar, and grey mullet. Yet there is no landmass in the branching pathways, no source well for the water to spring from. There is land, but land of a sticky sort, that drags your feet down and in and suckles at the soles of your boots, urging you to let your mind drift.

You catch the movement of the vines out of the corner of your eye, and move on, though your surroundings do their best to fight against you—movement is a forbidden knowledge here. Perhaps all the salt in the Twisted Strand has sunk to the sea floor, tucked into the river bed—fallen victim to the wallowing demanded by the languid poison in the tide.
