🐠 Daily Fish Fact: 🐠

Coelacanths were once known only from fossils and were thought to have gone extinct approximately 65 million years ago. Much to scientists' surprise, the first living coelacanth was discovered in 1938. Numerous characteristics are unique to this fish. Among them is the presence of a "rostral organ" in the snout that is part of the electrosensory system, and an intracranial joint or "hinge" in the skull that allows the anterior portion of the cranium to swing upwards, greatly enlarging the gape of the mouth.

The second image is of a different species, the largescale four-eyes (Anableps anableps). I included it due to how well it shows the eye, and as a result of far fewer photos available of Anableps dowei. This animal was requested!

But ykw, this is so true. Navia’s eyes are so sparkly and pretty, you could say that she’s “got that James Dean, daydream, look in her eye…”

And her children with the Empress would inherit these beautiful eyes too! Actually, now that I think about it…a lot of the genshin women have super unique eyes. Like, I can just imagine:

🦈 Daily Shark Fact: 🦈

The Bluegrey Carpetshark is a nocturnal species, which shelter on rocky reefs during the day and forages around the reef and surrounding substrates, including seagrass beds, during the night. This species receives refuge in marine national parks or sanctuary zones of marine protected areas that overlap with its distribution.

But, how...? How do you maintain the fish tank in this "Aquatic House?" Built in 1960 by Scottsdale, AZ's most prolific developer/investor/designer, the 4bd, 4ba, 2,509 sq ft home has a 1,200 gal. fish tank in the floor. $1.6m.

Look at your hallway. I'm impressed that it's been so meticulously maintained all these years.

9. What is one quality they have in common?

They both have short tempers, and in the face of dealing with something that frightens them their first instinct is to snap at each other, and honestly it’s a miracle they’ve stayed friends this long. But I think Because they both resort to the same course of action in difficult situations, it means theyre more likely to forgive each other afterwards, because they understand why they’re each like that

10. What is one major difference between them?

I’ve talked A Lot with my friend about the way that power and agency play a role into their arcs, and I think it’s one of the main differences between them, and shapes how they go about handling their respective Horrors. Because Nick has a lot of power to influence things, but he does not have the agency with which to wield it, because at the end of the day he’s a vessel for it. Mallory, meanwhile, has the agency to act on the world, but she does not have the power with which to make any change, she can only observe

27. How far would they go for each other? Would they risk their own lives for each other?

Oh absolutely. Despite their tendency to argue with each other and not see eye to eye, they would definitely do drastic things for each other, and that includes risking their own lives
