NEW YORK (AP) — New York Attorney General Letitia James on Monday told hospitals that they would be violating state law if they stop offering gender-affirming care for people under age 19 in response to an executive order from President Donald Trump aimed at curtailing federal funding for such treatments.
In a letter, James, a Democrat, told health care facilities that refusing to provide the treatments would violate New York’s anti-discrimination laws.
“Regardless of the availability of federal funding, we write to further remind you of your obligations to comply with New York State laws,” her letter reads.
Everyone say thank you to NY Attorney General Letitia James!!!

if you're upset at Emilia Pérez and want to see a real mexican movie that treats the epidemic of missing and murdered people in México with actual empathy and touch, please watch Ruido (2022).
Tumblr media
It's based on many stories of missing women and of femicide. It features a woman searching for her missing daughter and becoming an activist for the thousands of missing people countrywide.
Tumblr media
As it's based on real things happening in the country, the production included help from real mothers of missing people, called madres buscadoras. They're activists that search all over the country for their loved ones, either dead or alive. The madres buscadoras of the state of San Luis Potosí acted and advised in this movie.
Tumblr media
It's an amazing film that deals with some of the most delicate subjects in mexican society and has an amazing story.

U.S. Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona has introduced a new bill aimed at abolishing OSHA. The bill, titled the "Nullify Occupational Safety and Health Administration Act," or "NOSHA Act," was referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce for further review.
The proposed legislation seeks to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, which established OSHA as a federal agency dedicated to ensuring workplace safety and health standards. If passed, the bill would effectively dismantle the agency.
In this new bill from 2025, Biggs is introducing language similar to a bill he proposed in 2021.
