9, 10, 27 for the oc ask game!! (once again itā€™s so bonkers awesome that you have a whole ass radio show)
Hi Sonia!! :D
9. What is one quality they have in common?
They both have short tempers, and in the face of dealing with something that frightens them their first instinct is to snap at each other, and honestly itā€™s a miracle theyā€™ve stayed friends this long. But I think Because they both resort to the same course of action in difficult situations, it means theyre more likely to forgive each other afterwards, because they understand why theyā€™re each like that
10. What is one major difference between them?
Iā€™ve talked A Lot with my friend about the way that power and agency play a role into their arcs, and I think itā€™s one of the main differences between them, and shapes how they go about handling their respective Horrors. Because Nick has a lot of power to influence things, but he does not have the agency with which to wield it, because at the end of the day heā€™s a vessel for it. Mallory, meanwhile, has the agency to act on the world, but she does not have the power with which to make any change, she can only observe
27. How far would they go for each other? Would they risk their own lives for each other?
Oh absolutely. Despite their tendency to argue with each other and not see eye to eye, they would definitely do drastic things for each other, and that includes risking their own lives

LINKTOBER DAY 22, SEABED INN
Nothing like ending the adventure with a weird dream and manifesting a new spooky ring! Linkā€™s too tired to wake Zelda for this one.
(That zora is a strange one, choosing to live near the sky. Have you heard? Rumors have it she even took one of the last zonai as a student.
I heard she taught it healing arts!
I heard she let it near the Sky Princess.
Oh no!
Didnā€™t she know the Zonai are cursed? Nothing ever goes right with their magic. Thatā€™s why they were taken by the malice.)
Interested in more of this au? Check out this masterpost (it all started when Zelda didnā€™t time travel back in time)
Want to see wips and character faces without Rauruā€™s brainfog getting in the way? Mayhaps you should check out my patreon :0

Peko: thresher shark (thresher sharks attack with their tails and peko uses swords it just makes sense)
Ibuki: great hammer head shark (ibuki is great and also looks silly and is social just like great hammer heads)
Hiyoko: bamboo shark (because she's small and although theyre no where near the smallest shark bamboo sharks typically never grow past 3ft long)

Nagito: goblin shark (because nagito is a silly little creature akin to a goblin)
Chiaki: dwarf lanter shark (they're deep sea sharks that hide in the dark just like a gamer would)
Gundham: megamouth shark (a very mysterious shark for a mysterious guy, megamouth sharks nocturnal pretty much and also deep sea sharks so theyre spotted rarely and not much is known about them)

oi you I wanna hear about your au ideas
Oh boy do I have ideas. Unsure which au exactly you wanna hear about considering I have. A lot. (Hope101, indie game dev x streamer, magical girl au, pokĆ©mon sun and moon au, Dragon Nagito au, Dragon Izuru au, etcā€¦) But I can tell you about my band au that Iā€™ve just started working on!
The story is mainly about Hajime/Izuru. He is the bassist in a band with Ibuki (guitarist,) Nagito (pianist/keyboard,) Leon (drums,) and Sonia (lead singer.) However, one day he gets into an accident leading to some brain damage and Acquired Savant Syndrome. Heā€™s suddenly basically a genius, and heā€™s struggling to feel emotions like he used too. The overflow of information that he suddenly understands at a glance is painful and overwhelming. He doesnā€™t feel like himself anymore. He isnā€™t sure what he feels.
So ofc his band is there for him, and they try to help him feel again and explore himself through music, where eventually he realizes he isnā€™t Hajime anymore and he has to come to terms with that. Heā€™s who Hajime used to be, and heā€™s also more (and also probably dating Nagito now because Iā€™m a sucker for Kamukoma.)
Though I should mention, eventually Leon gets kicked out of the band. He and Ibuki were dating for a while (mega party couple fr fr) but she got fed up with him play-flirting with other girls and dumped him one day. The bandā€™s manager, Nekomaru, brings in Akane to be their new drummer, while Ibuki begins a budding queer coded frenemyship with Toko Fukawa which may end up in a romance if Toko can swallow her pride and let herself love and be loved. But nah rn sheā€™s just texting Ibuki 24/7 because she ā€œhates that disgusting immature otakuā€ and for no other reason at all surely.

Your swsh art always makes me want to replay the game because i love it and its my favorite pokemon game and every time i play another pokemon game i think of it how i miss certain elements from swsh. Then i boot up the game and im once again caught in the 1 hour 40 minutes hand held intro and im like ah- now i remember why i have been playing other pokemon games instead of this one. Happy (late?) birthday!
you don't want to listen to hop? you don't want to hear him teach you about type matchups? you don't wanna let him cheer u on...? šŸ„ŗ waa....?
#ask#bakuspeech#I am joking to be clear lmao#thank u happy bday to me !!#tbh I got real used to pokemon overexpositioning since sumo lol. it's kind of a boon for me#cause I'm not a Gamerā„¢ and my brain takes stuff on Very slowly#so the tutorial stuff and the cutscenes give me time to catch up. also it's still fun to see these guys run around#I am in fact here for these guys lol. weird thing to say about the game built on and with an essential focus on the pokemon I know#I just like humans! I just like watching hop running circles around my player character all excited#and leon being a dick to his hometown people when they're expecting 'leon' back and they get the champion instead#and you get to see sonia used to dealing with it but the frustration never fully fades and how close she is to hop and that picture's bleak#listen this is my bread&butter lol. leon really doesn't show up That much himself around the game he's a shadow casted over the story#it's always interesting to me! does Not mean it's not sluggish to other people who want to play the game lmao#but I like it. also the tutorial at least the first time around was necessary to me bc the difficulty scales way up later on lol#it's a very good first pokemon game I maintain this. sumo never managed to teach me the same way swsh did#I still care drampa tho thank u drampa for being real I love u#lmao it feels like saying I'm not a Gamerā„¢ violates some tenets of having adhd somehow. but its just the case here#the main genres I play are 'itch games tangential to the haunted ps1 people' and 'popcap-style casual games'#my sport's figuring out shapes n movin my stylus sadly. well not sadly why would that be sad

@heartheaded asked: "I think he's handsome, and I like his dog!" (from Teruteru -- among the tamer things he could say about gundham when asked of his opinion! out of respect or fear for them both! lol)
Discussing Relationships sentences - Accepting!
She wasn't sure how she'd started on the topic with Hanamura. Maybe it was the power of an uneasy silence, one that had settled in the mostly empty classroom in the face of bravery. Or as much bravery as Sonia could muster.
When she'd watched anime and dramas featuring high school students who cleaned their own classrooms, she'd looked forward to it: a quintessential part of the normal student experience, she relished in the idea of now needing castle staff or a school custodian to look after her. But in practice, she was allowed only the broom or mop, no cleaning detergents (she'd managed to strip the finish off the classroom floors last time), and in lieu of being paired with a close friend, Yukizome-sensei had decided that Sonia Nevermind and Teruteru Hanamura would be responsible for cleaning the classroom that afternoon.
Something that prompted snickering from Hiyoko Saionji, a glare from Peko Pekoyama, and a worried look and whispered words from Tsumiki Mikan before Sonia had gently assured her that she'd be all right. For as delicious as Hanamura's food was, he had a tendency of coming off a bit awkward around their classmates, particularly the girls. But she wasn't a coward and she insisted on trying to befriend everyone she could, maybe they just needed a suitable conversation topic. But what did they have in common besides their class and classmates? It certainly wasn't food: he was an incredible chef and she managed to ruin toast.
But Sonia had paused mid-sweep around Yukizome-sensei's desk as they went down the class roster, remarking mostly good things about their classmates (try as she might, saying a kind word about Kazuichi Soda still proved difficult). Her head jerked up to look at Hanamura, disbelief in her eyes: someone else besides me recognizes that Tanaka-san is beautiful?. From the way their classmates expressed their confusion at his words or discomfort at the giant bear, or snake, or tiger that often found its way to their classroom, Sonia had felt certain no one else appreciated Gundham's beauty.
Tumblr media
"Y-yes," SheĀ agreed, albeit hesitantly as she continued to sweep back and forth and yet none of the dust and debris made it into the dustpan. "I can agree that he is handsome, and his animals are lovely." But as her smile strained, trying to keep the mood lighthearted, Sonia realized it was more than just being handsome.
It was the fire in his eyes when he was truly exhilarated about something. It was the way his brow furrowed when he was concentrated over a paper or his journal, taking notes of all of the beasts in his care and how best to look after them. It was the way his Supreme Overlord of Ice facade melted away when he thought he was alone with his Devas, doting on them sweetly and in a way wholly unbefitting of a dark lord. The latter she'd caught him doing just a week ago, before he'd tugged his scarf back up over his face and instructed her on the right type and amount of food to feed the dogs that currently occupied the kennels in his lab.
Sonia sighed, shaking her head as she continued to sweep with more focus at hand. The less she thought about him like that, the better: it wasn't as if he saw her in any way beyond a platonic friend and if he was smart, he wouldn't see her as something more than that. She had a life script she was destined to follow, one that constricted and suppressed until most in the system either adapted or broke. And she didn't wish that for him: she didn't wish that for anybody.
"He is really good to them, his animals!" She chimed in, kneeling to reach the dustpan before shaking it over the trash can. "But many of our classmates are good at looking after others. Like Mikan-san with her patients, and Nidai-san with the students he is coaching! It is admirable to see such care in our peers, do you not agree?"
She needed to change the subject to something, anything, besides the boy whose piercing gaze and deep voice invaded her thoughts at the most inconvenient times. Late at night, for example.

Hi. Me again. I've been thinking and reading a lot recently about Tears of the Kingdom, and the possible... implications that its story has, and I would like your opinion on them. I would have simply sent you the posts I've read, but it'll be quicker if I give you an abridged version of the talking points. So with that said, if you're interested, let's begin:
[If you'd rather not think too hard about this game, then feel free to just ignore this.]
First and foremost, Rauru. I already asked you about your thoughts on him, and I loved your answer, but I'd like to look a bit deeper into what he represents.
So, for starters, about the Zonai as a race. I've seen the claim that the whole setup behind them about coming down from the sky and being worshipped as gods could be seen as colonialism. I think the only way that's true is if they were oppressing the people of the world, and we don't have any evidence of that, but some people think the lack of evidence means it must have happened. I don't really know what to say to that.
Since Rauru is the founder of Hyrule, you can see why I find that a little concerning. It's not clear if he adopted Hylian culture, or if Hyrule is fundamentally built on Zonai customs, but I figure its a question worth asking. And if it is built on Zonai customs, does that not imply that whatever Hylian culture was got erased?
Secondly, the Secret Stones. Rauru having the monopoly on them makes him the single most powerful being of his era. Is the fact that he is also the king not a little concerning in the face of that? Like, I've seen the argument made that people might simply have followed him because they were afraid he would wipe their races off the map otherwise. I don't think that's something he would do, but still, he and Sonia flaunt theirs like jewelry.
There's also the statement that he was apparently repeatedly inviting Ganondorf to form an alliance. Firstly, why would they need to have an alliance? There doesn't appear to be any external threat. Secondly, no matter how friendly these invitations may have been, there is still the undercurrent of "if you don't, I could wipe the desert off the map" thanks to the stones.
I've seen the claim that everything about the Zonai and Rauru's role in the story could be seen as pro-imperialist propaganda. I don't want to believe that, but I'm curious as to what your take is.
I had more to ask, but this is getting pretty long, so I'll leave it there for now.
Okayā€” the Zonai and Rauruā€™s role in Hyrule is one that I have honestly stayed away from. Simply for the fact that we donā€™t have a lot of information regarding either. So Iā€™ll refrain from theorizing for the most part and simply rely on my critical literary thinking skills in order to discuss this without being completely biased (at least I will try my hardest)
For oneā€” Rauru and Mineru are the last two Zonai and keepers of the Secret Stones. That brings SO MANY questions. How do the Zonai fit into Hyruleā€™s history? What are Secret Stones and why does only Rauru have access to them? What happened to the Zonai?
The Zonai are a people still so mysterious to Hyrulians nowadays and a thought to be extinct race (technically Zelda is very, very, very distantly part Zonai). Zonai thought to be godsā€¦ Now we are heading into theory land but it is very interesting to think of Hyruleā€™s history. While Hylians are supposedly the race closed to the gods, there was another race mentioned before in the Zelda universe that was even closer to the Gods. NOW Iā€™m not saying the Oocca are the Zonaiā€” but it shows us that there are races to be expanded upon in the Zelda verse and possible other gods or goddesses we do not know about.
The Zonai are thought to be Gods by Hyliansā€¦ and the Hylians have a bloodline that shares the blood of a goddess. While we see a very loving relationship between Sonia and Rauru, it would honestly make sense if it was purposefully set up in this manner for them to be the first King and Queen of Hyrule. And as we see, Sonia and Rauru do wear their secret stonesā€¦ but in a kingdom newly founded with an enemy in the south west whose malicious intent has been notedā€¦ doesnā€™t it make sense to wear the secret stones?
If Iā€™m not mistaken, Ganondorf isnā€™t aware of other stones. Why would he go through the entire hassle of impersonating Zelda and killing the Queen for her secret stone if there were MULTIPLE just hidden away? Because he doesnā€™t know about them. He chose the weakest and targeted their stone and succeeded in stealing it.
While it is true that Rauru is keeper of these stones, we never see him monopolize them and keep them to himself. Had it been a pro-imperialism narrative, he wouldnā€™t have delegated them out to the others. He would have used their power for his own gain and forced his rule upon the entire land. His show against Ganondorf was simply a king protecting his people, with the aid of Zelda and Sonia sharing their power with his. Itā€™s to force the secret stones into actionā€” to show both us and Ganondorf that they are powerful. Naturally, it becomes the main motivation for Ganondorf in his quest to rule over Hyrule.
And the comment of Rauru repeatedly requesting Ganondorfā€™s presenceā€¦ that was made AFTER the Modulga attack. It was Rauru repeatedly trying to peacefully discuss the attack and Ganondorfā€™s intent. It was not a threat. It was a basic way to hold out a hand and see if the true malicious intent is still there. And Rauru confirms it is with Ganondorfā€™s presence. He knows he must prepare for battle because he extended a hand, knowing it would be taken despite a knife being hidden away just waiting to strike Rauru and the rest of Hyrule down.
And as for culture, we do see that the Hyrule Zelda finds herself in is a mix of Zonai and Hylian culture. Had it been just the Zonai culture, we would have seen remnants of that reflected in the Hyrule before the Great Calamity. Instead, we only find the rare mention of the Zonai and ruins scattered upon Hyrule. Remember that Rauru and Mineru were the last of the Zonaiā€” implementing and erasing Hyrulian culture isnā€™t at all supported by any details found in the game nor is a feasible feat.
Rauru isnā€™t meant to represent colonialism nor head a pro-imperialism narrative. He is meant to represent a King who did everything right by Zelda and in the end by his people. He makes mistakes of course, but he is the supportive guide for both Zelda and Link that King Rhoam never truly could be. The Zonaiā€™s place in Hyruleā€™s history has yet to be truly discovered and I suspect we wonā€™t gain many answers until the next Zelda game. Of course, there may be more information in the ToTK Official Guide, but we wonā€™t know until it releases.
Naturally, I could be wrong, but I find that in a series with a character such as Ganondorf who exemplifies tyrannical, imperial characteristicsā€¦ and is constantly fought againstā€¦ the odds are far more in the favor of Rauru and the Zonai being a mysterious race we do not know much about beyond that they helped establish the modern day Hyrule and married into the family that holds the blood of the goddess šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø and that the last two remaining Zonai would have done anything for Zelda and supported her choices no matter what

Even 6 years after botw, and 3 months after totk's release, I have to admit: They're good games, though lacking in story, but they're honestly not good "Legend of Zelda games." Totk being less so than botw. It's not about the shrines, puzzles or temples, or lack of them; the games are just kinda missing that LoZ feeling. I think an anon had a good take: LoZ refers to Zelda's story from a historians perspective, but is actually the story of Link and his adventure for us players. Botw is missing that, and in totk that's completely gone, with everything focusing on Zelda.
Hey, thank you!
I think I try to stray away from what makes a good Zelda game (or a Zelda game altogether) because I think that there is nothing more Zelda-core than fighting about what makes the essence of Zelda, and everybody being convinced they're extremely right about it (not excluding myself AT ALL btw, it's just... for some reason it's impossible to talk about Zelda and what you care about in the series without taking it to weird absolutes and being semi-toxic about it, which ??? it's so strange that it's a nearly-universal thing, why is it such a thing) and it's ultimately very personal. Obviously they kind of lost me with TotK in terms of player values, but I completely relate to seeing this thing you love drifting away from you.
I think what I miss the most is the bittersweetness, this idea that for any act of bravery to become a legend, you have to part with something meaningful and let it rest behind. At the heart of every single one of your adventures, there is this sacrifice that you have to make: be it a relationship, a sense of innocence, a person, an entire world... I often hear that Zelda only cares for happy endings, and I don't think it's that true? Like of course things are good by the end, the baddie is dead or sealed away, you are triumphant, the world is no longer in disarray... But there's always a cost.
I think it's really the heart of why I failed to connect with TotK's themes at the end of the day, if I try to de-intellectualize and take it in a more emotional way (and then of course it resonates with all of the reasons why I'm bothered with depicting any kingdom as worth preserving as is, without questioning anything about it)

Oh oh boy what she DOESNT likes about Randall would be a better question.
He cooks he cleans he reads poetry he studies heā€™s a nerd he is flexible to do gymnastics he knows french ( I headcanon both of them are half french half american and laughed at this coindicince when they learned hfagakdnaks) heā€™s super sweet to her and let me get on to the things she doesnt likes about her beloved fiance;
The elephant in the room here is ā€œoh so she didnt liked when she changed after college didnt she?ā€ No! Ä°ts not it. Just like how Randallā€™s fans like both of him I dont see why Sonia wouldnt like both Randallā€™s too. The thing she didnt liked about college Randall was that he never stood up for himself and standed like a coward at every situtation leaving the job to protect him to Sonia. The thing she doesnt like about todayā€™s Randall is now heā€™s a bit grumpy now jabsjahsjahsı (again, sheā€™s very in love of both))

What do you mean when you say Sonic has "disappeared"?
Ehhh sometime later in Sonics like he just. Vanishes. Never confirmed dead or alive. A lot of people assume he went on a solo mission and died without anyone knowing but theres no evidence. It hit his friends really hard though : ( they looked for him for ages and everything kinda held its breath through it all. Tails never really gave up hope that he was still alive himself and the rest of his friends did their best to support him (tbh there was always a good chance he got himself into some bullshit again). Its one of the great mysteries and Venice did immediately want to use Silvers time travel to find out what happened when he heard about it

ITS A BIG ONE šŸ’„, šŸŒ™, šŸ•·ļø, šŸ™‰, šŸŽ, šŸ’˜, šŸ’—, ā¤ļø, šŸ’™, šŸ’–
For both Olivia and Sonia!
Here we go! Double serving of hot vampire facts!
šŸ’„ Olivia: Helpless. If there's one thing Olivia hates, it's being unable to do anything when she thinks she should or considers it her responsibility. When it happens, she usually falls back on anger to mask it.
Sonia: She can't really stand condescension. She understands that sometimes she has to defer to those above her in the hierarchy, but the moment someone flaunts their position over her, she becomes prone to start plotting to show them just how poor of a decision that was.
šŸŒ™ Olivia: To have a family. She has that now (in some ways, she got more than she asked for) and can cross it off the list. And yes, she is willing to kill to protect that family.
Sonia: Having her restaurants gain global recognition. National fame just isn't enough when it comes to her cooking and she's not above playing dirty, usually by discrediting her competition.
šŸ•·ļø Olivia: Her biggest fear is being left entirely alone, with no one to care about her. Growing up an orphan, she desperately wanted someone to give a damn, and while it's not AS overt anymore, she still very much does. She doesn't really have mundane fears, but the more she learns of her clan's antideluvian, the more she fears being subsumed by him.
Sonia: Sonia does not fear, she is the one others fear. Why be afraid, when she's arguably the scariest person in the (dimly lit) room? The one fear she had (though she'd never admit it) is her sire, whom she diablerised) slowly driving her insane and manipulating her from beyond the grave.
šŸ™‰ Olivia: HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE DARK MOTHER?! Thanks to her wife, Olivia is a devout Bahari and she is not particularly shy about her faith, or about sharing her faith with people who're willing to listen.
Sonia: She will happily talk your ear off about Italian cooking. You will listen, that is non-negotiable, the door is already locked and your shadow gave her the key.
šŸŽ Olivia: She's not used to getting presents at all, so just the fact that someone would give her one is usually enough to make her emotional. Still, she's usually fairly practical, and appreciates gifts she can make use of. As for giving gifts, she's generally the kind of person to ask what someone would want, rather than try to guess.
Sonia: Presents are mostly a way to gain favor to her. Sonia's painfully practical, though most of the gifts she gives are ceremonial. She'd be happy to receive a gift with some tangible meaning behind it, like something symbolizing a guarantee of support.
šŸ’˜ Olivia: She wouldn't admit to it, but she does believe in love at first sight. As for desirable traits, she values people who are willing to compromise for the sake of their partner and treating her as an equal.
Sonia: She doesn't. She frankly finds it difficult on most nights to NOT see love as transactional, or in terms of alliance. Her ideal partner would further and protect her interests first.
šŸ’— Olivia: It usually takes a little bit for her to admit she's interested in someone, but once it happens, she tries (and fails) to give subtle hints that she's interested. She also tends to lower her guard around her crushes. It happened with her wife, Harmony and a bit more explosively with her boyfriend, Elliot (on account of him being mortal.)
Sonia: She keeps her attraction close to the chest and doesn't really let it show, unless she sees signs of mutual interest. She tends to keep an air of decorum about it. She's of an older date, so she prefers to wait for the other party to come forward first.
ā¤ļø Olivia: She becomes very caring and protective of her love interests. She's not really a selfish lover, but she's definitely quick to become overprotective.
Sonia: Support in her partner's endeavours, be they political or personal. Need to bend the ear of someone important? She'll call in favors so you get their time. Someone causing you problems? She'll remove them.
šŸ’™ Olivia: Dear god, does she. She becomes much less animated without her wife being around. They see each other pretty much every day, but when they don't, it's fairly obvious she's missing something. Running away from Harmony following the death of her sire took a serious toll on Olivia, doubly so when it was entirely her own fault, and she never really forgiven herself for it.
Sonia: She's not really prone to missing people. To Sonia, people come and go as they fall in and out of favor, and to a degree, this pragmatism also applies to love. Still, if she becomes fond of someone, she'll gladly reminisce about them, but their absence doesn't really affect them in a perceivable manner.
šŸ’– Olivia: A bit of both? She's not above public displays of affection and frankly, shortly after she and Harmony started dating she practically flaunted their relationship in Elysium. She's a little more reserved with Elliot, but mostly because they also work together and she doesn't want their relationship to disrupt their work.
Sonia: She's definitely a subtle lover. It's less about grand displays and more about the little things to let her love know she approciates her. That can get a little difficult when you go for over 50 years without seeing each other, but she hopes these little comforts make up for it.

Her sets are next level, and she is truly one of my favorite gif makers. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to hype her up because she deserves it and so much more. She is simply the BEST!
Fandom would be nothing without creators who so freely and graciously give their time and talent to create content for us all to spiral over, so a big thank you to you, too, because your sets are epic as well. The Brandy/Cinderella and Halle/Little Mermaid parallel set is so special, and I love seeing your work cross my dash! Iā€™m also a big fan of the B. Davis quote in your bio, iconic. šŸ‘‘

i have been stuck in a cycle of rereading ur postgame fic over and over and over ever since it's release it's SO good........ i understand if u r writing up more to it and so don't want to disclose but i am dying to know more abt ur takes on both postgame as a whole and what's going on with each of the survivors..... if u wouldn't mind sharing, ofc :3
!!!! thank you so much, i'm so happy you enjoyed it. i do want to keep some stuff secret (partially bc i'm still fleshing out ideas myself) but i can share some stuff about the survivors!
hajime: so i'm not the biggest fan of hajime and izuru being separate personalities, but i do like them being perceived as such. hajime and izuru are one and the same, but the person he was as izuru and the person he was even before then are perceived as different to the others, they'll keep make excuses for him and claiming that wasn't him, but he has to learn to accept that he was the person who did those things, that there isn't a separate entity in his brain to blame. a lot of his journey is going to be about discovering the type of person he wants to be in his future and whether he even can be that person, or if his brain is too altered to understand the imperfections of happiness.
i don't want to say much about akane, fuyuhiko, or kazuichi yet. what i will say is that their journey of healing begins with the physical, and the mental gets pushed to the side for way too long. i can see Queen Sonia, Who Is Above All, and izuru kamukura taking care of themselves during the Tragedy, which is why they're some of the only ones to come out unscathed (not including nutrition deficiencies from being in the NWP pods). the other survivors aren't that lucky, so they have to overcome being weak before they can fully focus on the sins of their past and the futures they want. akane is the most malnourished, kazuichi has suffered so much damage to his limbs creating the monokumas and death traps in unsafe work environments, and fuyuhiko gave up his views of the world for those of a tyrant (literally lol bc. his eye. yknow?). how do they even begin to cope with the people they've chosen to become? how do they begin to cope with all they've lost physically and in their lives?
sonia: the next section i'm writing is about sonia actually! so i'll just share a snippet of that :)
When she had first woken up, Makoto and Kyoko had been there to help her, slowly lifting her upper body so she could sit up. She trusted them, of course she did, but who she really wanted to see was Hajime. Hajime, who had shone so brightly at the end of it all, who had overcome a despairing truth in order to help them all, who had lit a path to the future for his friends.Ā
In that moment, she had seen the sort of person she had always wanted to be. Being a princess, born to be a queen, there was a lot of expectation for her to be the perfect leader. No matter who she asked, however, nobody could ever define what that really meant. Was perfection being an absolute authority? Being completely open to every request from her people? Maybe it was letting others do all the work and just smiling and waving, presenting a facade of peace when there was none. Or, worst of all, maybe it was being cruel, crushing all that stood in her path and ruling with an iron fist.
No. She had tried that last path, and now had no kingdom at all to rule. The princess, born to be a queen of perfectly nothing. Still, Sonia was a ruler at heart, a leader and guide to those around her. Before the others woke up, she knew she would need to define for herself again what the perfect leader was. All of these thoughts had run through her mind in the five seconds it took for Makoto and Kyoko to lift her to a sitting position, the detective hiding a smile as her partner babbled on about how great it was to see her awake, how much work they had to do, how happy he was to meet her in person. Sonia barely heard his words at the time, her eyes darting around the room of glowing pods, looking for that perfect leader to learn from. She had wanted to see Hajime.

hc randomly extrapolated from various tidbits: you try to surround yourself with art (of any kind) whenever possible and probably have a few cool prints on your walls but want more of themā€”also you have a colorful but slightly tangly pile of yarn and crochet projects that u go to when you want a creative outlet. [also lemme guess you're obsessed with thai dramas??? same.]
You got 4/4! I try to instill as much art into my life as possible, I ALWAYS want more prints on my wall, my pile of yarn is actually two drawers but it is colorful and slightly tangled - and crocheting is one of my biggest creative outlets, I am. so obsessed. with thai dramas. actually unreal
