Dog part 1

I have two things I would like to get off my mind. One I cannot risk getting out just yet but another I am free to write about and I don't give a damn. I lost my last tumblr account. I wanted to recount my experiences about working for a dog transport company.

I worked for my best friend. I left my server job to which I was able to pay my bills. To work for her. She promised to pay me on time and I would be eventually run my own crew once we got more business.

Things could have never gone more wrong.

anyways!! premise: im 90% sure it was jello but it could be another big youtuber, i don't get involved with this stuff usually, but this story was so funny it stuck with me

someone commented on his video about how could he know something that was gonna happen in idk what volume of rw//by, which at the time the video dropped was not out yet. so he replied to them saying he tried to get roles in the show without success and that's how he knew about those things. he posted the video after all this happened.... so.... reasonably, one would assume that saltiness played a part lol as his reply to the person felt pretty salty too. but obviously that's just my.... interpretation 🤣

If I see hate for Franco Colapinto exclusively because he replaced Logan you're getting blocked 🙅‍♀️ 🚫

I know nothing of this man but he is innocent in this business, he did not remove Logan from his seat, he just took an opportunity that was presented to him - which any other driver would have done too (yes, ANY driver. Even him.)

I'm going to keep an eye out for Logan in Indycar next year and hope he does well, and I'm going to hope Franco can make the most of the rest of the 2024 F1 season.

thank you! 💛💜💛 Rider's been near and dear to my heart for well over a decade now, and I'm always happy to suck more people into the void. >:)

Kamen Rider is a Japanese live-action superhero franchise; they come out with a new standalone show every year with brand new characters/story/etc. (so you typically don't need to have seen any of the others to understand it). because every show is often totally different, there's a big variety in tone and quality, but I have some personal recs in this post! and you can also take a look at the wikipedia list (under 'main series') and just see which ones might sound good to you. :D (there's also Ride Kamens, the Twstification-style game that I've really been enjoying, though it is only in Japanese right now.)

at its heart it's basically just a bunch of guys in superhero suits having emotions while swinging foam swords and questionable CGI at rubber monsters, and it's excellent.

Beauty and the Beast for the WIP game?

My only real attempt at writing poetry before this year happened during a stretch when I tried to write a Beauty and the Beast retelling in verse. I got about two-thirds of the way through before it fizzled out and languished forever unfinished.

When it comes to my recent novel-in-verse obsession, the simplest option would be to take another look at this work and try to finish it. There's a lot of terrible poetry in there, but there are some that are somewhat better than I remember. I can't claim to be a judge of what's good poetry, but some of these are readable, so I'll share some of them here.

The first set of semi-readable poems covers the first meetings between Beauty and the Beast. (These are all numbered, and I'm leaving the numbers in place to better differentiate between separate poems. I think the speaker in most of these is fairly clear from context, but just in case, I'll put the speaker's name in the title, too.)

VI. beauty and beast

he is every nightmare i’ve ever forgotten he is thunder and darkness and death he is fear with fangs he is beastly

she is every dream i’ve never dared for she is roses and sunlight and life she is hope with jewels she is beauty

VIII. beauty

the chair creaks when he sits

my knees quake when he speaks

the master laughs when i ask

when i will die

my ears doubt when i hear

the rules are these you are mistress of this castle the servants will obey your every whim the rooms and all within are yours including me

his mercy shatters my world makes it bigger and at the same time smaller

The next set of poems I feel like sharing starts with Beauty finding a portrait in the castle, and then leads into her sharing a dance with Beast that makes her kind of freak out over the fact that she might be falling in love.

XXII. beast

today you found a painting in a long-forgotten room covered in cobwebs and shrouded in dust

there was a reason it was lost

the portrait showed a man with a face like the dawn and eyes like the sea you thought he looked kind

he was young and a fool

you may keep it if you wish or lock it back in darkness it matters not to me i used to see him daily

i doubt i’ll see his face again

XXIV. beauty (and beast)

if rooms have souls the ballroom is wise a radiant beauty long past her prime

she treasures the days when she lived and was loved she keeps them and counts them like pearls on a string

(she is not the only one, my dear)

long past midnight in moonlight and hush this sleepwalking girl can glimpse former days

a flash of a gown and a whisper of waltz what glorious balls must this room have beheld

(they were marvelous indeed, my friend)

it seems a shame she grows old alone with nothing but darkness and dust held within

i would dance for her return the spark of life if only we had music and i had a partner

(i will gladly dance with you, my love)

XXV. beast

my dear beauty don’t you know i learned dancing long ago

one step closer take my hand with a waltz you’ll understand

let the music guide your feet in a dance that’s slow and sweet

hand in hand and heart to heart it’s not love but it’s a start

he is hulking beastly

i am small delicate

i should be stumbling crushed

but

we marvelously miraculously dance

and it feels like flying

XXVII. beauty (to the portrait)

man on the wall i may be mad but i must give voice to the storm in my heart and you are the only one near

the master puzzles me i know his home as well as my own but i know so little about him

(is he beast or man or nightmare or dream or captor or friend)

i saw his face and thought him a beast

(but he grows roses and reads poems and has never killed or even raised his voice)

i heard his voice and thought him a monster

(but he spared my life gave me his home and all he owned offered his heart and never once has been anything but gentle)

i watched him dance and thought him a man

(with grace like an angel or a prince and i think that maybe he was not always so lonely and that his heart aches for things lost)

what am i to think do say be feel about him now

and why do these questions always come at midnight

The final poem is one that I had completely forgotten about, so I was shocked to find it lurking in the latter sections of the document and showing signs of using some decent imagery. By polishing up the last couple of lines, I've got something that's not half bad as a standalone poem.

This one occurs during an extended period when Beauty is still trying to process her feelings toward Beast and figure out if this is really love or if her feelings are being warped by isolation and close proximity.

XXX. beauty

if this is love it is a dark and grasping love a child stumbling in the night crying for a candle flame and cherishing the smallest spark of light

if this is love it is a bleak and desolate love a skeleton tree in a barren desert windbeaten and scrubbed to bone and bursting into bloom at the first drop of rain

if this is love it is a smoke and mirrors love a sleight of hand or trick of light that takes my broken heart and fools me into thinking he can make it whole

Some more Sharkteeth Iruka thoughts:

He has very much internalised a lot of insecurities about his teeth bc of all the shit he's seen and heard Kohari get about her own over the years

These feelings were heavily reinforced when a bunch of kids in class decided to play an innocent spin the bottle but when it landed on Mizuki, the kids all screeched about not wanting to get bitten/sliced/etc

The first time he kissed Kakashi it was through the barrier of Kakashi's mask bc he was scared of doing it otherwise. The first kiss without the mask in the way is sweet and tender and lead by Kakashi as way to prove he has nothing to fear

When Iruka is annoyed or irritated he makes little noises by sucking or tutting his teeth. These sounds are just as diverse as a person's hand signs and you can tell what island someone's family came from in Water Country based on the specific sounds they make

Teeth gnashing means he's either in pain or actively pissed off and yes that makes a sound too. It's like a sharp clicking where his teeth snap and grind together

His accent is quite noticeably thick because he has to talk without slicing his tongue so he stretches out certain vowels/consonants/etc or just straight up ditches others [example: "the, there and that" becomes "de, dere and dat" and "with what" is "wiv whuh", "mouth" is "mof/muhf" etc]

Because he uses a henge to transform his mouth into something more "normal" his natural accent is usually hidden, though his grins, smiles and laughter are still very wide and large since he's used to, well, having different teeth to work around when at home

If he gets worked up enough the accent will slip regardless of the henge

The sharkteeth of Mist exist because the local produce is quite thick and tough so you need teeth capable of ripping and tearing without hurting the jaw. Put a juicy steak in front of him and Iruka will be able to tear it to shreds with no issue even if it's super fatty

He can also crunch into shellfish and just. Eat the shells. He doesn't do that because they "taste really bad" but he could

A spaced/zoned out Iruka is likely to bite you out of reflex if you make him jump. Gai found this out without meaning to and was very chill with it bc he's used to Hatake 'I express my affection via biting' Kakashi but Iruka was a bit of a mess about it

Speaking of Kakashi: he's so normal about the Sharkteeth. So so normal. It doesn't count as an oral fixation if you're just using your fingers to poke around in there whenever you can guys he swears!

He really likes it when Iruka applies a soft pressure against his exploring fingers with said teeth. It reminds him of his dogs when they playfight with him

Iruka stops using the henge sometime during the blank period between part 1 and shippuden. He started borrowing Kakashi's masks instead hehe. Both a practical solution and a sweet one since Kakashi's romantic self gushes about it constantly. Somehow it still takes their coworkers absolutely ages to click on that they're dating. Incredible

Non-curse AU! Choso is a big ol' nerd

A/N: As a big ol' nerd myself I feel passionately about this, so I have way too many thoughts repost bc it wasn't showing in the tag for some reason

Below the cut because I'm a yapper!

♠ Definitely the type to meet his S/O through discord because I think non-curse Choso is much shyer than regular Choso

❥ He wouldn’t be an admin. He’d be the quiet type that’s always there reacting to posts but rarely talks. Has the sickest emotes tho

❥ Prefers smaller discord communities, mostly video game servers

❥ I think he'd like the vaporwave aesthetic and all the RBG setups. Keeps his computer area neat and tidy

❥ Choso fucking loves video games. He'll buy those $300 special edition pre-orders and get the cool figures

❥ HUGE Soulsborne fan. His favorite is Bloodborne (on the nose but I couldn't resist). Also really loves Monster Hunter. Cares a lot about the monster's details, like their eating habits. I think his fave would either be Odogaron, Nargacuga or Zinogre.

❥ Picks the edgiest weapons lmfao. Definitely a longsword user in Monster Hunter. Went blood build in Elden Ring

❥ *Sigh* he does consult reddit for his builds and is a min-maxer. I'm afraid Choso is a reddit user but in a 'I need a thorough understanding of this' kind of way

❥ Function over fashion: he dgaf if that helmet is as ugly as sin, it gives him +2 endurance and he's gonna wear it

❥ Lets you create his character & name them & everything.

❥ If you can't be present for the character creation portion, he'll make his character you! Definitely made you his dream guardian in Baldur's Gate 3 (which in the early access was called the Dream Lover, which is even cuter)

❥ Not pretentious at all about what is/isn't gaming, and plays all sorts of genres

❥ LOVES NINTENDO GAMES. Mario has a special place in his heart. DEFINITELY mains Shy Guy in Mario Kart

❥ Will literally cry and die if you play video games with him. You don't have to be good because he'll happily teach you. Just watching him play and asking about the details will make his day

❥ Definitely would do those cute Animal Crossing museum dates. Loves the relaxing, chill music so much. Despite his min-maxer approach to other games, he's absolutely not a time traveler in Animal Crossing. He's of the mindset that it ruins one of the core features of the game

❥ Stardew Valley? Stardew Valley. Honestly, I can't decide who he romanced first. My heart is telling me Leah, but chat pls advise

❥ Speaking of chat, you just know he's a fan of let's players. Always watching a YouTuber or Twitch Streamer. He's a Markiplier fan. You know it, just accept it

❥ Tbh that's a cute thought: Choso being a fan of the reader that's a small twitch streamer. Should that be a thing?

❥ Really good at singleplayer games. AWFUL at pvp

❥ He'll play something like Fortnite or Overwatch for Yuji, but needs to be hard carried because he only plays when someone asks him to. He can't stand how toxic those communities are, and doesn't want to socialize with strangers just to play a game

❥ He gets HEATED SO EASILY when people are toxic, especially if it's directed at Yuji or someone else he cares about. Definitely the type to step in and check other ppl when they're being toxic. Like those clips where it's a woman in a lobby and the dudes all start being sexist. Choso will not let that shit fly!

❥ Teabag him if you want to see him lose his shit

❥ On the note of Overwatch: the only character he can and will play is Mercy, and he just pockets Yuuji the whole time. Yuji has to beg him to heal/boost their teammates
