Uncangender is a gender that's similar to another gender, but isn't, and falls into the uncanny valley by imitating that gender in a way that is ominous or unsettling. Similar to how something that looks "not quite human" becomes uncanny, the imitation of another gender has an uncanny, or "not quite right" nature. It is KEIN (kenochoric-in-nature), and it may also be SCIN and/or HIN.

This gender was originally coined by ezgender. The flag remake is by an anonymous user.

humanoidgender: a xenogender (or xingender, xenic gender, etc.) that resembles (an) anthrogender(s), but is different in a potentially scary or uncanny way. it may be immediately noticeable that this gender is not an anthrogender, or it could take a much closer inspection.

i got this idea while perusing through scary story youtube channels - it’s based on the concept of creatures that are humanoid, but are definitely not human! i used the green from the xenic/xeno-aligned flag and shades of blue/purple and orange from the xenogender flag to mimic the anthrogender flag, showing how this gender bears similarities to (an) anthrogender(s), but itself is xenine or xenic!

hi please don't delete this ask bc my blog is inactive and looks dodgy, this is a genuine ask, do you know of any genders related to uncanny/eerie creatures? my identity is nonhuman and best described as a genderless alienlike creature, but not alienlike as in the usual green, big eyed spacey kind, it's more the creepy black toothy monster kind

when i coined uncangender, imagery of uncanny/eerie creatures was a big part of it, so possibly that? or one of these:

Aliengender: A gender that is an interpretation of a gender or genders, from a nonhuman perspective. May or may not like to fit into a gender and adopt a gender, but in a sort of ‘alien trying out foreign species’s gender’ way.

Wendecure Alien (Alierl; Alie-er-el): When you’re genderless because you’re an alien/similar being. Not exclusive to kin, as long as you relate to the term. Could also be genderless with connections to being an alien.

Wendecure Darkness/Shadow (Darerl; dare-er-el): When you’re genderless because you’re made of darkness/shadow or are a demon/monster/similar being. Not exclusive to kin, as long as you relate to the term. Could also be genderless with connections to darkness/monsters/demons.

Horrorcosmium: A xenogender influenced by or related to the genre of cosmic horror. It can not be completely described, as it has no recognizable geometry/shape. It is characterized by its difficulty to be fully known, its contents often inducing dread and confusion in those who struggle to understand it. This cosmic void induces this dread as it often causes people to look into their inner selves to attempt understanding.

Eerie: When your gender is hard to feel and very mysterious. At times it slowly reveals itself like a mist coming off of the mountains. There is a slight sense of horror to your gender, like its in a place where it doesn’t belong.

Externusgender: an AGIN (agender in nature) gender that feels distanced from earth and it’s gender binary, alienated from other gender identities. based off and/or related to aliens and other extraterrestrial life forms.

and then depending on you and how your other identities you might have may play a part:

Tenebrigender: A gender for nonhuman alters. This gender is detached from any and all human norms/binarys of gender, can not be described with human words.
