I was browsing Tumblr, when suddenly the words swirled together, forming eyes and a nose, and a tall man made entirely of words stepped off the screen, dressed in a suit made of reblog icons and a hat made of bowties.

“I AM THE TUMBLR SEXYMAN”, he said. 

I opened my bank account. I had just lost 2000 dollars.

It does kinda suck that female characters are more or less expected to be motherly for the sake of their gender while male characters are celebrated and loved for being fatherly. It sucks because yeah commonly fathers irl are not emotionally available or often run off and there's a lot of 'deadbeat dad' jokes/storylines, and that just leaves the designated mother alone without help

and it also sucks that being a good mom alone or in a partnership dynamic in fiction isn't really celebrated. Most of the time the character is a backdrop, the character that stays at home caring for the household and kids while the protagonist goes off on an adventure. mom's are just expected to be moms and not given a proper thanks or focus for all they've done.

... and if i may be so bold, there are father-coded characters often praised for doing the bare minimum. I admit, I love the gruff, jaded character who accidentally takes in a kid, but to just calls them "the noise" or not show outward affection... I do see that masculine characters are loved more for being subtle or secretive (or constipated) about any category of love compared to openly affectionate ones.

besides that, if the mother-coded character only serves as a back drop because that's just expected of a woman...... Aw jeeze, even I have my hang ups.

It's like I HAVE to give a good reason for a mom character to want kids, and I think about the commitment and sacrifice and amount of body power they'll have to exert for 9 months even before birth. it's like it feels """cliche""" just to say "maybe she does want kids and that's it. maybe she just wants to do it." Like eyes around me judging me for 'just making a female character fall into her designated gender role' instead of making a personal choice for herself and with her partner.

Day 355 of drawing Junior Secret Squad until Chapter 3

Happy anniversary to one of the craziest day in UT/DR and Tumblr History. I had to draw something for the occasion and well, I haven't drawn my Junior Secret Squad doodle of the day, so why not?

Also I find it crazy that pretty much in Ish, the Queen died and Sans won the twitter Tumblr Sexyman poll the day right after Sans's nephew was born. Must've been one crazy couple of days.

Also also Bonus doodle because I was originally gonna draw CK with his secret boss uncles since @mrchaosman made a point that some of his secret bosses could be honorary uncles to Ceeks. I was going to draw Freed, but ran out of room so we just have Jevil and Flowlezz fighting over CK.

I'm so glad that throughout the years as depictions of William Afton evolved from a crazy purple twink with a ponytail (Vincent???) to a handsome, distinguished, well kept, well dressed, middle aged father of 3, to a greying, divorced, but still distinguished, murderous inventor to FNAF movie William people still find him sexy. The sheer evolution of what people find attractive as the series progresses
