How does the average voter decide what's true?

The main thing, however, is to GET THE TORIES OUT for good. Their lies, corruption and incompetence must end now, after FOURTEEN YEARS of chaos. The country is on its knees financially after austerity, Brexit, and the arrogant idiocy of Cameron, Johnson, Truss and Sunak.

Our public services are cut to the bone, our waters are polluted because of privatisation, the standards of healthcare and social care for the elderly have fallen well below what's needed, and we can't even get affordable dentistry.

Nobody can afford to buy or rent their first home any more, or save for the future, or pay their energy bills, or afford decent childcare so that both parents can work to pay the bills. THESE ARE BASIC ESSENTIALS IN A CIVILISED SOCIETY, not 'luxuries'.

Instead, the Tories make it easy for their wealthy cronies and donors to AVOID TAX, stash money away in tax havens and pay low wages to their employees.

Britain is broken, and the lying, self-serving Tory government is to blame.

Punk band UK Subs were detained upon entering the US and kept locked up for 24 hours with little to eat or drink and no sleep before being sent back to London.

They had the correct paperwork for their visit.

the UK's 'anti-BDS' boycott bill is returning to parliament for a third reading and vote Wednesday 10th of January.

this proposed law is not aimed at individuals, it would be impossible to stop people from boycotting, but instead targets public bodies like universities, public sectors, and councils in the UK. this would prevent public bodies from making ethical choices about where they want to invest their employee's pension funds. e.g. pension funds could be invested into companies that make arms for countries committing genocide.

the anti-boycott bill explicitly mentions Israel, trying to give them protection from public body boycotts as well as undermine the Palestinian led campaign for boycotting. it's disgusting and disgraceful.
