Personal hot take that I think should just be universally standard:
Spicy = hot, burning, can include numbing
Spicey = full of spices, heavily spiced, not necessarily spicy

RE: cultural appropriation primarily being about an economic state of affairs where white people make money off of other people, a related idea I've been contemplating but haven't been able to like. Finish writing about is the idea of cultural decontextualization, which is when a cultural majority (often but not always white people) engage with another culture in a manner that erases- and may simultaneously replicate- racist histories, and is more about creating false narratives than economics.
A personal example would be white people making clothes based off of Coptic Egyptian artifacts, especially while generically referring to them as "Roman" or arguing Coptic art does not exist, which denies Copts part of Coptic history while resurrecting the French Coptomania of the 1920s, and specifically Albert Gayet's actions of taking items from Coptic graves to the point where a model was dressed in a tunic and shown off (which is also terrible from an artifact preservation perspective- this tunic would've been at minimum, 1300 years old at the time).

no scientist would deny that black people lived in Europe, and likely all over the entire Eurasian / African super-continent; before caucasians came in. Black Africans have been seafaring and crossing the Atlantic for millennia. Scientists now agree that even before the younger dryas, seafaring peoples also populated the Americas via Pacific island chains. There's no dispute that at least 3 different genetic sources of humans entered the Americas, including as well the Siberian-American landbridge. beyond dispute that white people originated from south Asia / India, and / or Hindi culture (hence, Indo-European meaning, Hindo or Hindu-European); it makes sense that this was a mercy program for people with albinism, born in the tropics of South Asia and India, to migrate north in their lifetime to seek a life away from the sun that would leave them burnt and with lowered life expectancy. No scientist would argue with the statement that India sent their albinos north and that became what we know as "caucasians" today, so calling caucasians "dravidian albinos" seems pretty accurate to me, almost seems beyond scientific debate at this point, but this write up does a nice job of at least conveying the fragility among audiences on this topic. Is it true some white people get offended by this analysis? holy snowflake meltdown batman I'm a human first and foremost, but i won't deny i am typically perceived as a white guy, this does not offend me whatsoever, I'm just genuinely curious where the controversy or confusion is ...

every time i take a nap slightly hungry i have the most vivid and intense dreams about eating food
#chatterye#today i dreamed i was in a mall#and i was going to the food court with a group of people#they were getting indian food#i went to mcdonalds or something to check something#and mcD had some valentines special called like triple cookie mcFlurry#with like oreo and chips ahoy idk what the third cookie was#and then i saw a sign that said like#workers be sure to put enough connecting filler so those things can stick on dammit#something like that#and it was about like putting ice cream in between cookeis#like an ice cream sandwich and there was an image of a mcflur as well#and then i turned around and watched my coworker eat thai food#oh and as she was eating i was like can we go back so i can get some food too#anyways that's when i woke up and had some food#i'm insane when i'm hungry it seems#last time i was hungry i remember being in this same damn mall and food court#it's not a real place#but it's multi storu#and there's like one distincitve store that my brain has created#that now i just recognize it based off that#also like these are my most vivid real and memorable dreams#but they only occur when i nap before dinner time AND someone is cooking food that smells#the food court is long and there were like dress stores and you know the middle stands where they sell random things#on the way to the food court#once you got there it was like a typical mall food court#just reaaallly long and#every single time i'm in this mall it's dark inside and out#idk what it is about this mall but yeaj think like dim yellow lights
