Ashton Greymoore – Type 4(w3): The Enthusiast

Fours are self-aware and sensitive. They are creative, honest, and personal, but can also be moody and self-conscious. They can withhold themselves from others due to feeling defective and vulnerable; they can also feel disdainful and exempt from ordinary ways of living. They typically have problems with self-indulgence and self-pity.  Fours maintain their identity by seeing themselves as fundamentally different from others. They often see themselves as uniquely talented, possessing special, one-of-a-kind gifts, but also as uniquely disadvantaged and flawed. Enneagram 4w3s want a strong and well-defined sense of identity. They fear being or feeling insignificant. And while they often feel different from others, they don’t want to be alone: they may feel self-conscious or socially awkward, but they deeply wish to connect with people who understand them and their feelings (if such validation remains out of reach, fours begin to build their identity around how unlike everyone else they are).

Type One:

Sejanus is motivated by his desire for Goodness, in the moral sense. His ethical integrity is at the forefront of his personality, and is the be all and end all of all his decisions and relationships.

Ones are highly principled and decisive when dealing with moral quandaries, and they seek out a sense of purpose

Sejanus resents his father, his classmates, and the Capitol on the whole for decisions that are at odds with his own ideals, and refuses to let that go unnoticed; at all times, the most important thing for him is to stand up for what he believes is right and just.

Type Four:

Fours tend towards melancholia. They can be explosive and sensitive, especially when circumstances challenge their sense of identity.

Sejanus has a habit of self-pity, however justified it might be, and wears his emotions blatantly on his sleeve. He is not precious about being seen as flawed, but is absolute about being authentic and true to himself (and his ideals).

Type Six

Sejanus is committed to both his goals and his friends - right to the bitter end. He will only momentarily stray from his stubbornly held beliefs when cornered by Coriolanus, his closest, and perhaps only, friend.

He desires material and emotional security for himself and his loved ones, and we only see him falter when their safety and his own is compromised - when his actions backfire and he comes face to face with the chaos in his wake.

Thanks for reading! I intend on making more of these as the mood strikes me - particularly Coriolanus and Lucy Gray, and I might try my hand at the main trilogy too (as soon as I finish my reread)!

Batboys, who finally got Jason to agree to join them in their Farm Weekends at Kents, and who beforehand warned Kon and Jon that, well, Jason can be a little flippant, but it nothing personal, only to find out that Jason has an awful, tooth-rotting soft spot for Supers.

Kon, sighing: Okay, Jon, remember, this guy is probably like Damian but older and worse... On the other side, you probably would like that, but just in case if he makes you cry, call me. I'll deal with him. Jon, giggling: Don't worry, Kon. Jason, appearing on the doorsteps: Hey, little ones. I wasn't sure what people usually bring as a gift when they are staying at someone, so I bought the bunch of sweets for ya. You don't mind, do you? Kon: L-little ones? Jon: SWEETS!

Batboys are flabbergasted. Jason never acts like this with them, so what the actual fuck. Tim checks on Jason's temperature, like, three times in the row, and gets his hand smacked. Damian stares at Jason, trying to figure out if the Pit madness had returned in a different light. They have no explanation for this.

Kon: Dude, you said that he was meanie. Tim: He IS. Usually. Kon: I don't know, man... He lets Jon sit on his shoulders and piggybacked me this morning. That's not really mean to me. Tim: WELL. HE NEVER DOES THIS WITH US. Kon: Maybe he just doesn't like you that much. Tim: SHUT UP.

Jason, helping to Lois with some chores: So, I need some help in stalls. Pretty boy, come and help me. Kon: (keeps standing cluelessly) Jason: (glares at him, confused) Kon: Oh! I am pretty boy? Jason: Yeah? Chop-chop, come on. Tim, muttering: All I get is Timbers. And Timberline. And Timmers.

Jason, cooing on Jon: Aw-w, here goes my itty bitty tiny- Damian: (growls) Tim: Somebody sedate me. Kon, twirling around in new leather jacket that he stole from Jason: Yeah, we are his new siblings at this point.

Dick: I am. SO. Happy. That. Little. Wing. Finally. Can. Unleash his. True. Cringey brother. Personality. Tim, concerned: Is that kryptonite in your hands? Dick: No. No. Don't get me wrong. I am very happy. I had waited for this day for years, even. Well. I expected ME to be his itty bitty tiny weenie. But. That's fine. I am fine. Damian: I'll fetch father... Tim: Yeah. Please.

Hold up, this is actually kind of interesting- we know Four likes his air of mystery 🔗

But it looks like these two genuinely hadn't thought much about his age before. Perhaps Four hadn't said anything about it- past that time with Twilight

not sure how twilight survived, but whatever 🔗

Hyrule's words 'that's a funny group- the youngest and the oldest', show that maybe he had subconsciously assumed Smithy to be younger (perhaps due to his height)? But of course, Four is way more mature than one would expect. I think knowing he's not the youngest, most of them didn't worry about it because he's so quiet. Four is the one who's there quietly helping.

So basically I'm in love with the idea that none of them know the smithy's age because he's kept his secrets close, and over time they will continue to realise they don't know much about him-he doesn't talk as much.

Oh, here are Jojo's Words tm on his age-

Grouped into the categories in this post, it seems he's among the youngest. Yet in Jojo's tags (the ones I put above), she described him and Twilight as 'not that far off in age'. Or, as that's what Four might've said to Twilight.

Jojo changes her mind sometimes, and we're not in it, so where is the Smithy in the ages groups? Is he closer to Twilight's age or Wind's? The question of the ages. (hehe, that was a good one.)

But as far as the rough categorising, Hyrule is right- Four is one of the younger heros, so that group is the youngest and the oldest. It seems they are uncertain on that though

saying this as a lover of aro/ace donnie, i think its funny that there's actually a lot of evidence that donnie is hilariously allo and leo is, by contrast, relatively romance repulsed. we should break the mold a little, may i present a dynamic where donnie is the one hilariously down bad for someone and leo's doing the "oh my god are the allos okay" straight manning in the corner
