HOW EACH RDR2 GANG MEMBER REACTS TO A CAT IN CAMP (MY OPINION)

Arthur - quite indifferent to it, probably jokes at least someone else'll be bringing in meat they hunt to camp, much to Dutch's distaste. He sketches it a couple times however

John - doesn't like cats too much, but grows a little close to it by them both sitting in silence in chapter 2 whilst John was still recovering

Javier - wants to keep the cat, often strokes kitty but isnt a huge cat fan, although perhaps he plays guitar whilst the cat listens. Calls it gordito

Pearson - rambles on sight that sailors and navy boys believe cats are good luck to anyone who hears as an excuse to bring up being in the navy. Offhandedly will feed it chunks that can't go into the main stew for whatever reason later on- (Arthur hates that)

Uncle - ignores the cat mostly but they are often found in the future lazing around together in camp. The people in camp say it's Uncle's protege

Bill - Worried on how Cain would interact with the kitty but if all goes well and they keep the cat he likes to keep the 2 animals together, insisting Cain could use some other friends

Hosea - Wants to keep the cat as long as its self reliant (eg hunts for itself), saying it'll boost a camp morale to have a pet. Reads the newspaper whilst it sits on the table together.

Dutch - immediately uses it as reason to have another speech praising cats for not following society's clutch and doing as they please with no care. Calls it Ruth (Ruthie by most)

Mary-Beth - falls in love with the cat, likes to write with them curled up on her lap and brushes it with a special hairbrush she (stole) got. Once also (stole) got a cute pendant and put it on the cat as a collar - though had to take it off knowing it would get stolen and put the kitty in danger

Tilly - also wants to keep it, and rants to the cat about Miss Grimshaw whilst the kitty listens. Probably a little protective of it and wants the cat to be a pet for the girls and keeps it away from select guys

Karen - "aw that's cute". Doesn't really care past that but perhaps makes a sarcastic comment to the cat every once in a while talking shit about someone

Grimshaw - at first didnt want an unhygienic animal here, but quickly grew to love it as a mini helper in removing vermin and mouse. Often is seen walking around camp with the kitty and tells camp members to take notes as it's a lot more clean then half the gang

Abigail - strokes the kitty and likes the cat, though is also quite indifferent to it. However shes one of the first to look for it if it goes missing for Jack's sake

Jack - ADORES THE CAT. Cried a little to Abigail saying he felt guilty for liking a cat which is a dogs enemy, therefore Cain's. But now often they play together and when he has naps the cat curls up close next to him

Trelawny - REALLY likes cats, surprisingly. Ensures Micah isn't near to the kitty and uses it as an assistant for his magic tricks. Says every wizard needs his cat. Probably when disappearing will reappear more often to check up on the cat

Strauss - a little avoiding to it at first thinking it's quite dirty, yet as he spends so much time in camp the cat grows to be his little helper whilst he does work, sitting in silence next to him. The only time Strauss ever shared his wealth was buying the cat a little bed next to his desk, partly to avoid it from sitting on his papers again.

Sean - quite superstitious on cats, so if it came around Christmas time hes very happy to see the cat. Believes it's good luck, but watches it closely in case it let's a mouse escape or purrs with it's back to the fire. Teaches all this to Jack, and likes to pat the cat periodically.

Lenny - doesn't care much for the cat, but if everyone else likes it then he supposes it's a good thing to have in camp. Worries to Hosea on having a cat whilst they move often the cat would struggle to adapt, but Hosea says not to worry as the cat is a lot smarter then half of camp, (he names Bill), and they manage.

Molly - also incredibly superstitious about cats, and at first doesn't want them to keep it saying its unhygienic. After time shes seen with the cat on her lap as she complains about her life to it brushing the kitty. However she says it's only to stop it being messy on her things. Insists it's a she and calls her Princess

Sadie - could not care less about the cat, probably ignores it if it comes close without realising

Charles - likes cats, pats the kitty often and gives it spare food he has. However he can't stand how the cat plays with live food, and had to put some animals out of its misery when the cat got bored with them, much to his disdain

Kieran - doesn't say anything but REALLY wants them to keep it. At first he's a little nervous around the cat but instantly warms up to it soon after and tries to spend all his time with the cat. Tries to get the cat and horses to bond

Micah - "Do we NEED another mangy lazy animal we've already got Swanson" really doesn't want a cat in camp, probably kicked it once without realising but didn't care much. Calls them weak animals for being always 'sneaky' rather than fighting everything head on on

♡ Subspace is extremely egotistical and that doesn’t go away when obsessing over you. He expects you to fawn over him and is personally offended when you don’t even look his way. He forces you up to his lab with excuses of “needed extra eyes” to make you sit with him as he works, it’d be almost soft if he wasn’t talking the whole time. 

♡ During those (reluctant) trips in his lab, you meet someone...different. Medkit. While Subspace goes on a rant about his latest inventions you look longingly at Medkit from afar, and every time he notices he smiles back. You’ve talked a few times, planned a few dates, and even done projects together. It’s a slowly blossoming relationship...Until Subspace finds out. 

♡ He’s furious. He’s Subspace T. Mine, Blackrock’s finest inventor and scientist! Theres no way he’s losing to ... to... Medkit! In a way, he stops seeing you as just a pretty decoration and more as a trophy to be stolen from Medkit’s grubby hands. He yells at you for it, for being so pathetic as to choose some pacifist over someone who could create a metallic tapestry in your name, for not choosing him. 

♡ You will love him. You WILL stay with him. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, how much he has to mutilate you, how much he has to destroy your spirit. Subspace is a coward, but that does not mean he is not cruel.

popato and i came to this grand undeniable revelation (hc) that hajimes awakening that he was VERY MUCH A BOYKISSER (positive) was nagito leaning over him in the prologue of sdr2, and throughout the whole game he’s actually in bisexual denial, continues to be in bisexual denial and as soon as nagito comes out of the nwp coma hes mentally like “FUUUUCCCCKKKKKK.” and we talked and explained it to eachother way better in dms but i need your formal opinion NOW mars bcs i love ur hcs and think ab them always pls and ty <3

you know the drill. big ass spoilery rant under the cut

considering hajime’s incredible levels of emotional obliviousness/repression i feel like his family never really talked about feelings much growing up. so he probably never really got much of an education on sex ed beyond like basic birds and bees stuff. he probably knows gay people exist and MAYBE knows about bisexuality, but he likes girls. he’s Normal. right

and then he passes out on the beach and there’s… a voice?? he opens his eyes. wavy-curly shoulder length hair…. long eyelashes that catch the light… pretty face… soft voice— and then he blinks the sun from his eyes and oh shit that’s a guy. that’s a Dude! not a pretty girl. um. okay. it’s fine. some guys look a little bit like girls and he was dazed so he got confused. it’s fine! it’s fine. ignore that he still feels kinda fuzzy around this guy.

speaking of which this guy is really nice actually :) he’s sweet. and yeah he teases hajime a bit but like he’s helpful, and he keeps hajime calm. yay!! hajime must just really want to be friends with him. yeah. he wants to get to know him a little better

and then komaeda turns out to be Fucked Up but hajime still… wants to get to know him better. he has an excuse to feel nervous around him now at least, but… the nervousness has this weird, buzzy undercurrent to it. he finds himself worrying about komaeda, left alone in the old building. he doesn’t like that he worries. when he goes to bring him food he’s so nervous, and seeing komaeda there, tied up on the ground, smiling up at him and joking and and asking him to hand-feed him— he has to get out of there, his heart feels like it’s gonna pound out of his chest. so he sets the food down and runs. he thinks about it that night (canon in the manga). that buzzy feeling comes back. he chalks it up to anxiety.

this continues throughout the game. when nagito’s sick hajime worries and worries and worries (and questions why he worries), and when he goes to see him after he’s recovered from his emergency state and nagito says that he can’t stand being around hajime, that hajime’s face is jeopardizing his recovery, two things combine in hajime’s brain. 1- his stupid idiot dumbass obliviousness. 2- his denial of his own feelings for nagito (thank you to one of my confessions blog anons (i wanna say it was hca but i do not remember) for presenting me with this idea). hajime falls for the liar disease because he Cannot Handle The Truth. he runs away and he has no time to process All That bc he immediately witnesses a murder afterwards

chapter 4. hajime continues to fear nagito and continues to crave his companionship. assuming he does his FTEs this is most likely the chapter in which the final FTE occurs. nagito shares his diagnosis, hajime is bewildered. he doesn’t know how to respond. nagito must trust him deeply to share that, but… he could die at any time? even if they survive the killing game? knowing his time with nagito is suddenly so fickle horrifies him. and then nagito says all he’s wanted is somebody’s love. hajime’s breath hitches— surely he doesn’t mean- he’s not- hajime likes girls, this doesn’t pertain to him, he—

nagito takes it all back. says he made it all up. hajime is hurt. how dare he pretend to trust hajime like that— even if he was originally telling the truth (hajime knows nagito’s a bad liar, and he knows which of his statements sounds more like a lie), the fact that he’d take it back shows him all he needs to know. nagito asks if hajime will kill him now. hajime asks his final question and turns to leave.

hajime hears the word “aishiteru,” even if nagito seems to change the subject of his sentence to hajime’s hope instead of him. or, in english, he hears the phrase “i am truly in love with the hope sleeping inside of you.” he hears nagito tell him not to forget this. he can’t do this. hajime walks away.

then, later, maybe even the next day, hajime is surprised to see nagito appear before him. but nagito just seems… bitter. nagito confirms all of hajime’s worst fears, then rubs as much salt in the wound as he can. it hurts, and of course it would, but hearing the words from nagito’s mouth, from the person who’s been praising him from the start, from the boy who woke him up on the beach… it fucking stings. so much so that not even chiaki’s kind words can cheer him up. before the class trial, nagito tells hajime “i know you don’t matter, so why do i still care about you?” hearing that makes it hurt worse, for some reason.

and then nagito dies. after one big grand show, he dies, and his death is gruesome and violent and filled with anger. whoever did this to him must have hated him. hajime can’t bear to stomach the thought that one of his friends would mutilate him like this. it breaks his heart when he realizes that anger came from nagito himself. he doesn’t know how to process nagito’s death, he’s too conflicted. thankfully, he isn’t given much time to.

when the survivors wake up from the neo world program, the first thing hajime does after getting his bearings is walk up to nagito’s pod and check on him. his vitals are normal, somehow, but he’s in a deep coma. hajime sits there for a while, slumped, processing what all he’s been through and what all he’s going to have to do. the other survivors are doing the same with their closest ones. souda walks up behind hajime and puts a hand on his shoulder, reaching out to comfort his best friend. hajime gives him a weak smile before looking back down into nagito’s pod. he sees the hand, turns back to souda, and tells him he has an idea for a project once they get the main island facilities up and running.

i’ve mentioned this before, but i think nagito was the last person to wake up by a long shot. like… it took him 6 months to a year post-nwp to wake up. he was in a DEEP fucking coma. in this time, hajime and souda work on their project— building nagito’s prosthetic arm. it won’t be perfect until they’re able to test it on him, but hajime wants to have it as close to done as possible— when nagito wakes up, he can surprise him with it. towards the beginning, souda jokes that he’s acting like a housewife waiting for her husband to return from war— hajime yells at him, but the joke sticks in his mind for some reason. hajime, with a brain now much older and smarter (and co-inhabited by a walking encyclopedia that likes to give him unsolicited advice), does some introspecting and some talking with friends and eventually realizes that Oh Yeah He Totally Is Bisexual And Has Feelings For Nagito Huh. Oh Fuck.

but it’s Fine. he can be Normal about this. nagito will never have to know because hajime is Normal and Respectful and he can be normal around the guy who looks a bit like a pretty girl. for now he’ll just focus on waking him up. return the favor, as it were.

eventually nagito wakes up, and hajime is Decidedly Not Normal but he’s trying his best. he’s trying SO hard in fact that he fails to notice that nagito, once he has recovered physically enough to properly communicate and mentally enough to want to communicate, is also being Decidedly Not Normal. they go on with their bullshit for a little while etc etc.

This was Jeremiah’s third time this week pacing back and forth in your room, ranting about Belly. She had only arrived less than a week and she’s already managed to get the golden blonde haired boy riled up.

“Why doesn’t she understand that I’m the one for her…” Jeremiah has yet to slowed down his pacing

Ironic. That’s the only word you can use to describe the scenario you’re facing. Jeremiah is stressing about Belly not being able to see the blessing in front of her as if he’s not doing the same thing. You’ve been friends, scratch that, best friends with Jeremiah for 12 years now. That’s 12 years of platonic I love you’s, platonic sleepovers and hangouts, but above all it’s 12 years of heartbreak.

Seeing Jeremiah ‘glow up’ and everyone (boys and girls) drooling over him was heartbreaking. Having to pretend to be happy for him when he find someone random to take home was heartbreaking. Seeing him stress over a girl that’s clearly into his brother is heartbreaking. However, you sucked it up because at the end of the day he’s your best friend that you love, and you stick by the people you love…right?

“[Name]! Were you even listening?” Jeremiah snapped which immediately brought you from your thoughts. “Yeah, no. What were you saying?” Jeremiah sat on your bed taking the bear, Fluffy, he gifted you playing with its ears. “Is everything ok? Anything you wanna talk about it?” THIS. This is why you fell for the boy. He cared, like really cared unliked most. “I promise, I’m fine.” With a quick nod Jeremiah continued what he was talking about before. “I’m thinking about doing a horror movie night with some friends. It’ll be the perfect excuse to get close to Belly. Zero lights, a spooky movie, some snacks, than BOOM teen romance.” Jeremiah spoke excitedly. “Yeah, you should go for it. Y’all would have a lot of fun.”

“Y’all? I think you mean WE! You have to be apart of this.” Jeremiah demanded, hands on his hips as if he’s correcting a bad child. “Must I?” You groaned. “Cmon! It’s all of your favorite things combined. Movies, Food, and Me.” He finished with a big smile, gabbing ahold of Fluffy to add to this already adorable site. Do you love movies? Yes. Some good food? Yes. Spending time with Jeremiah? No doubt. Spending time with Jeremiah and Belly in a room for well over 2hours? No fucking thank you. However, you made sure to not let this be shown. Jeremiah wanted you there so you’ll be sure to be there. “Ok.” You groaned. “YES!” Jeremiah smiled

—————Night of movie hangout—————

“We have a spooky 90s movie, snacks, juice, blankets, and pillows. Anything I’m missing?” Jeremiah asked double checking to make sure everything was perfect. “Nope, I think your overthinking and stress payed off well.” You laughed, putting the last bag of popcorn in the microwave. “Everything’s ready!” Jeremiah yelled to the four teens he made sure didn’t come downstairs while he was setting up. “Oh my god finallyyy, what took you so long!” Taylor groaned. “We had a slight snack emergency but [Name] was sweet enough to drive by the grocery store for some candy.” Jeremiah smiled. “Whoop Whoop! Go [Name]!” Steven cheered as he grabbed a piece of candy.

“Is that so?” Taylor sudctively asked. She slowly walked towards you, twirling a strand of her hair. “Hi, I’m Taylor. Belly’s totally awesome best friend that came to vist her.” She spoke with a smile, tying it all in with a small but classy hair flip. “Nice to meet you Taylor, I’m [Name]. Jeremiah’s best friend.” You laughed. It was quite obvious she was hitting on you, and you’ll be lying if you said you found her confidence non-amusing.

Suddenly, Jeremiah appeared next to you. “The movie’s about to start.” Taylor sent a quick smile your way before walking towards the living room. Before you could walk off, Jeremiah grabbed your hand pulling you closer . “I tried to sit by Belly but she asked to sit by Conrad before I could ask her. What should I do?” Jeremiah was clearly stressing over the inconvenience in his oh so ‘perfect’ plan. “Just sit on her other side.” You chuckled. “Right obviously.” He laughed clearly holding another thought in. As you were about to turn away, he once again stopped you in your tracks. “By the way you can ignore Taylor, she’s just a huge flirt. Definitely not your type.” This was definitely a site to see. Was the Jeremiah Fisher , a known play boy, jealous of Taylor flirting with you? You chose to simply nod in response, this time managing to successfully walk towards the movie with the others.

40 minutes into the movie, you sat up to get some more popcorn. Once you made it back you looked around the room to see everyone except the host himself. “Where’d Jere go?” You whispered to Steven, the only other person on the floor with you. “He said he needed some fresh air. He went out back.” Steven shared quickly, eyes still glued to the tv screen stuffing yet another hand full of popcorn. You swiftly stood up again with one objective in mind, to find Jeremiah. It didn’t take long to find him, you could see him walking back on forth on the lot’s mini pier. As you slowly approached Jeremiah, his head shot up.

“Shit, did I distract you from the movie? Sorry.” Jeremiah immediately apologized but you shook your head in response. “You didn’t. Why are you out here?” You took a seat at the nearest chair. “At first everything was going smoothly. Until I heard Conrad and Belly whispering and giggling about a few things. I left when Belly kept jumping towards him everytime something scary happens.” Jeremiah ranted walking back and forth, just like he did in your room.”Well I think yo-“ You was cut off. “I mean FUCK how can she be so stupid in love with him? What does he have that I don’t?” You were about to speak again but Jeremiah made sure to cut you off again.

Why did he put himself through this. Could he not see how amazing and beautiful he was? Hell even now, face stained with tears, watered eyed, face covered with stress, he looked like a Greek god. “Shut up.” Jeremiah stopped his pacing to face you. “What?” You stood up to face him “Shut the fuck up. Jeremiah you’re fucking amazing. From the way your smile brightens up the room to your fucking walk. Jeremiah you’re damn near perfect. You could have whoever you want yet you’re stressing over a girl who’s in-love with your brother. I mean DAMN did it ever occur to you that I’m right fucking here. You’re best friend that you’ve said I love you to everyday for 12 years is RIGHT HERE. For 12 years I’ve waited for you to get the hint that I’m in love with you. That I’m so effortlessly in fucking love with you. Yet, nothing happened. So I’m done waiting, here I am Jeremiah Fisher saying that I love you and not as a friend.”

This left Jeremiah stunned. This was your chance to do what you wanted to do for the last 12 years. You cuffed his face into the palm of your hand, ignoring every burning sensation telling you to stop. Instead, you focused on what was right in front of you. “I’m gonna kiss you now.” You stated, being met with a nod from Jeremiah. As your lips clashed with his, the entire world paused. Your lips moved effortlessly with his, as if they were made for each other. The kiss was deep, yet sensitive, you wanted to enjoy this moment and you did. As you parted, your lips had a tingle to it. It felt empty without Jeremiah’s lips attached to them.

“Sorry for telling you to shut the fuck up.” You chuckled. “It’s fine but I don’t want you to stop.” He whispered slightly biting his newly swollen lips. “Don’t have to tell me twice.” He intertwined his arms behind your neck, pulling himself into the kiss this time.

Content: Fluff, slight angst if you squint in Hanako and Mitsuba's part, no gender mention for reader aside from the word 'prince' and 'princess' being used. Summary: Reading their s/o a bedtime story

Characters: Nene, Hanako, Mitsuba, Kou

A story about a girl who gets saved by her prince, not in an ideal way like she wanted it to be, but nonetheless, still fell for them anyways. ⎯ Once upon a time I had my eyes set out for a fairytale of my own, wanting to feel like a hopeless romantic with the person of my dreams. But to think that the person I've been dreaming of was actually beside me this whole time... Perhaps instead of me, it was them that was hopeless in the end.

It was during when you stayed over at her house and weren't able to sleep, that she suggested she'd tell you some of the latest stories she's been reading about. Some that you've already heard of (either from her already mentioning it before or seeing it in the media) while others not so much.

When NENE talks about her stories she's very enthusiastic about it. Happy to even have someone listening to her rant on and on about something she's been dying to talk about for awhile, but it's even more special when it's her S/O ⎯ especially if they were the ones to ask her first before she even got the chance to herself.

Her stories lean more towards romance for obvious reasons. Loving the tropes to the story is one thing, but another would be because of how she likes to imagine herself in those sort of scenarios. Embarrassed to even admit it out loud, though it's already clear why she likes them so much.

And although at first she was telling the stories to you to get you to fall asleep, it sometimes ends with you staying up a little later due to her getting a tad bit carried away.

Oh but if you do end up falling asleep right before her? You won't ever see or hear about it, unless you were pretending to be asleep, but Nene is definitely the type to give you a shy goodnights kiss. Feeling brave only because you were asleep, but if not, she'd totally cover her face as she fumes at how embarrassing it is to get caught in her sly act.

A story about a commoner boy who had a princess that loved him dearly, despite his backstory and everything he deemed as 'unworthy' of their love, nothing ⎯ not even his words, could sway their view of him. ⎯ Time and time again you run and hide from me. Behind that wall of doubt and insecurities there's something that you clearly don't see in yourself that I adore so much. When will you finally come to terms and see things my way? Love yourself as much as I love you.

It's weird how you decided to nap in the bathroom. Especially his bathroom where he's poking you constantly until you tell him off.

When HANAKO is reading you a story, he has you sleeping and leaning against his shoulder. His hand occasionally shifting your head back in place when he notices you nodding off or about to fall, or maybe even just doing it to use it as an excuse to pat your head ⎯ who knows? Clearly not you.

But the types of stories Hanako tends to read to you depends entirely on his mood. Whenever he's feeling like a jokester, he'd tell you horror stories just to see your scared reaction as you cling onto him ⎯ or when he's feeling a little solemn, he'd tell the sort of fairytale that ends with bad endings to them.

Differing between those two genres the most. But on the more rarer occasions, does he switch it up to something else.

Something odd, something you wouldn't even expect from him. Something ... that perhaps convey how he really feels but is too afraid to admit it out loud? It honestly depends up to you to actually catch onto it. If not? Then you probably won't ever hear that story again from him.

A story where a ghost finds a human and wishes to stand by their side ⎯ A story where death will not part them, for they belong together. ⎯ I keep thinking that I could be good enough for you - that you could love me as more than 'friends', maybe I am a bit selfish for thinking this. Not that I could ever say it to your face.

MITSUBA didn't plan on reading to you but you told him a few stories of your own. He wasn't sure why he did it. Perhaps it was the smile on your face every time you started reading to him, so he returned the favor.

He wasn't sure what to read until he came up with his own idea. A short story about a ghost, since he knew that firsthand. A story with a ghost about falling in love with a human, a story he...

As he told the story, he could see your smile slowly disappear, almost as if you realized he was the ghost in the story.

The story was meant to end with the prince marrying a princess but Kou couldn't bring himself to say it. Perhaps it was because he was never the prince. He was always second.

But it seemed that you didn't mind. It does get a bit boring reading the same story over and over again, and you did like listening to Kou talk.

"I'm...really happy you liked it." He says, almost struggling to get the words out as you blush and smile.

Maybe this really was his story, and that's why he rewrote the ending. Well, you can't say it's impossible for that ending to happen.

Zuko who’s feeling unsatisfied and unfulfilled when he’s finally back in the fire nation, back in the palace. And like, he’s trying to figure it out and eventually comes to the conclusion that he misses uncle, misses family. So he does as canon zuko does and visits but oops, Iroh doesn’t want to talk, and he makes that very clear every time zuko visits until he just stops visiting.

Zuko, who still wants for a family, spends days reminiscing and brooding and gets desperate enough to try and rekindle the old relationship he had with Azula. Before she started bending and Ozai got his grumby little hands on her.

Azula is.. entertained by his attempts to bond. And that’s it, his pathetic desperation is only amusing to her, it definitely doesn’t fill her chest with the uncomfortable warmth that she only remembers feeling when she was young and weak. She is so deep in denial it’s insane, cause she keeps using that excuse as they do, slowly, get closer and closer to how they were, and keeps justifying her indulgence with the same old excuse.

Of course, Azula is not one to trust so easily. Years of unofficially being the Crown Princess and being educated on the ruthlessness of the political landscape that makes up the nobles has perhaps made her the littlest bit paranoid. And a part of her can’t help but see Mother in Zuko, can’t help the instinctive bitterness that swells up in her throat each time they exist in the same space.

So she sets up a test. Zuko seems so very devoted to being a better brother, has the same look of something she doesn’t want to emotionally touch that Mother had when she looked at Zuko. Traitorously, she wonders if his devotion to her extends to the same extent Mothers did.

Now, obviously, she can’t tell a ridiculous lie like ‘Father’s found out I lied and he’s angry enough to kill me and I’m just sooo scared zuzu~.’ Because they both know she’s still the favorite and, even if his mind seems to get more delusional by the day, Ozai would never kill his prodigy daughter over a little lie.

But she can fabricate one that seems like something he’d do had she actually been found out.

She times it perfectly. Zuko enters her room, mouth open and no doubt about to go on another rant about some stupid play, but stops dead on the sight of her.

There is no greater liar than Azula, so as she carefully checks the burns marks in the mirror she put on her own arms, high enough to hide, she makes sure to tense and freeze up slightly as she makes eye contact with Zuko before, very obviously, forcing herself to relax.

She stays silent as she puts on salves and creams to help it heal and prevent scarring, pointedly not making eye contact with him again and keeping her back to him. Projecting shame and vulnerability that she’s never let him see before.

Zuko unfreezes right as she finishes and storms up to her, hastily grabs her arm with a gentleness that contradicts his urgency, and asks, no, demands to know who did this. His expression is so.. sincere and genuine, so open. It makes her sick. But she’s never given up on a plan just because of her own pitiful emotions, modify them maybe, but never abandon.

She keeps her eyes low and to the side, glues them to her burn, and purposefully crafts her face to something resigned and resentful, inflects her voice with just enough bitterness as she snaps at him, defensive. “Who do you think, dumb-dumb?”

He pulls her into an unwelcome and skin burning and itching and crawling ants under her skin— a hug, he pulls he into a ridiculous hug before she can sneak a glance at his expression but the tense, resigned set to his shoulders gives her enough of an answer.

He loves her enough to care and comfort but his loyalties still lay with Father. She understands better now, on how close she can allow him, puts him just a bit higher than Ty Lee and Mai. It might be foolish but a small part of her was hoping for more, was hoping for the same love Mother had for him, the one she tries so hard for from Father.

She lets the hug drag on few a more seconds and then shoves him off, orders him out and away. Turns her back to him, again, and tugs her sleeves down, dismissive and guarded. She’s only made eye contact once and is staunchly ignoring him now so she doesn’t catch the hard, protective glint in his eye, doesn’t see the way his expression is blank of everything but determination.

She goes to bed and tries to ignore the traitorous thoughts that keep her up, make her question her loyalty and wonder if anything about her is true and real, that whisper in her ears and sound suspiciously like Mother as they condemn her to her fate as a puppet for her Father.

She wakes and gets ready with her attendants like normal and acts perfectly fine because she is her Father’s daughter and she is nothing less than perfect. The attendants shift and glance at her and each other with uneasy eyes, as though daring someone else be the first to speak.

Her oldest attendant informs her of the news. Firelord Ozai is dead, throat slit in his sleep with his arms charred, hands practically gone. His vocal cord was cut, they say, that’s why no one heard him scream. They sound muddled and distant as they speak and she gets tired of the droning that worsens the tight feeling in her chest, sharply raises her hand for silence and tries to ground herself. The looming dread won’t leave her no matter how hard she tries, someone snuck in to the palace and her father is dead and oh fuck, she’s the Firelord now.

Zuko meets her for breakfast, an incredibly early breakfast and shoots her a strained smile but his posture is all wrong, not enough grief and anger and too much pride. The realization hits her quick and hard and she just barely stops herself from dropping her bite of food. He he’d barely reacted and had left so quick because was planning on killing their fucking dad, planning on assassinating their Father in his sleep, a death without the honor of combat, the opportunity to fight for your life. He had to watch their Father bleed out, had to sit and wait before incinerating his arms, all because he allegedly hurt her.

It is too overwhelming of a realization for breakfast so she pushes it aside, gives a small nod and ignores him the rest of the time. She lets the small thought that Zuko is far more like Mother than she expected linger for a moment before banishing that one too. They both ignore the empty seat at the head of the table.

-Hypnos wants to spend a lot of time with you, therefore he works extra hard to be done early and relax with you!

-when he got featured house servant for the first time you congratulated him by peppering his face with kisses and showering him with praise.

-If Hypnos gets rewards like that for a job well done, you bet he’s taking his job seriously after that.

-Often times, he’d take it too far and end up overworking himself. Leaving the time you spend together with him cuddled up next to you, sleeping against your shoulder while you play with his hair.

-You both don’t mind though. That’s a dream come true for Hypnos. His love language is most definitely quality time, so even if he’s just sleeping against you it still counts XD

-A lot of the bottles of nectar he’d get from Zagreus, he’s regifted to you. He claims he doesn’t like the stuff, but you believe it’s just another excuse to pamper you.

-You eventually couldn’t take getting so many gifts from him, while you gave him nothing in return. So, you compromised by sharing the bottles together from then on.

-He didnt like hearing you say you give him nothing in return, though. He said simply being you was enough, and he loved having someone who listens to him when he needs to rant about one of his interests.

-On the topic of interests, you bet you’re going to be roped into hour long tirades about how great Asterius is. You sometimes joke he loves that Minotaur more than you. He lists all of his favorite tributes about you next to make up for it.

-It’s easy for you to get upset about how poorly Hypnos is treated at the house, but when you bring the topic up to Hypnos he says that it really doesn’t bother him what others think of him. That the only opinion important to him is yours, and you give him all the positivity and love he needs. You say he has a good heart and give him a kiss.

-Also, if your dating Hypnos you gotta get along with Thanatos as well. Hypnos just adores his brother and will take every chance he gets to brag about how cool he is.

-You think it’s sweet how much he cares about his family, and find yourself bursting into fits of giggles as he tells you funny stories about when he and his brother were younger.

-Thanatos has a lot of respect for you. You keep Hypnos in check, and have improved his brother for the better. He thinks its good for Hypnos who has someone to talk too, and greatly appreciates how much you make Hypnos happy. Although he would never admit he, he loves his little brother and wants him to succeed.

Really do feel like I’m taking advantage of your generosity lately but I’m writing a novel so that’s my excuse.

Lucile goes on a number of quite feminist rants in her diaries , so I’ve been wondering if we know anything about her official views in that area (and Camille’s, as well.) Would the Desmoulins have known/been friendly with people like Olympe de Gouges and Sophie Condorcet? I’m aware both were Girondins so presumably not to the bitter end, but what about earlier in the revolution? I’ve noticed Lucile actually mentions an Olympe in her diary - is this de Gouges…?

I too reacted on Lucile’s rather modern views — both when it came to gender equality and religious questions — so it’s fun to hear I wasn’t alone there.

If the Olympe she mentions once in the diary is Olympe de Gouges was actually something Philippe Lejeune speculated on when first publishing it in 1995, bringing up how the two at the time actually lived in the same area. He does however underline that there exists no real evidence tying the two together and ends by concluding he thinks it more likely Lucile is talking about a person in her own age and not de Gouges.

Lejeune’s words seem rather well confirmed by other pieces I’ve looked at — I can’t find Camille referring to de Gouges in any of his works, nor does the biography Marie-Olympe de Gouges: une humaniste à la fin du XVIIIe siècle (2003) by Oliver Blanc cite anything hinting at a relationship between her and the couple. The same thing for Condorcet — nowhere could I find Camille talk about him in a way that implies they were/had once been friends (and it goes without saying it was the same thing for his wife). I actually had trouble finding proof of a relationship between Sophie/Olympe and any other prominent revolutionary.

Someone we however do know Lucile was friends with is Louise de Kéralio-Robert, who, judging from the amount of times mentioned in the diary she kept 1792-1793, comes off as one of her closest friends along with madame Danton and madame Brune. De Kéralio has been accepted as the first and even only 18th century woman to found and edit a political journal. In said journal, she, like Camille, showed herself an early and fervent republican. She was however far from a feminist, in 1789 we find the following letter from her:

Mademoiselle de Keralio is very satisfied by what [Monsieur Brissot de Warville] said today about the influence of women. It is very much part of Mlle de Keralio’s principles that women should not make a great spectacle of themselves. […] A love of publicity is bad for modesty, from the loss of that comes a distaste for domestic work, and from idleness, principles are forgotten and from lack of morals arise all of public disorders. We should be forced to seek women inside their homes, their presence should be hard to obtain, and rare, offered as a favour.

And one year later we have this passage from her journal:

I do not believe that women can ever have any active part in government, and I believe that the greatest good that the constitution can do to public morals is to keep them out of it forever. Women reign in despotic states, it is enough to say that they must be null in the administration of a free country. The more the austerity of republican mores will make them attentive inside their homes, the more it will render them incapable of knowing enough public men to direct a choice which must be the fruit of constant observation and consummate experience. I know in them the sagacity necessary to judge the best of things, but not the extent of genius which makes known the means of arriving there or the force of temperament which supports the necessary studies. I repeat it again, the more they will be what nature has made them, the less they will want to undertake something beyond their physical and moral strength. Content to teach their children the decrees of the assembly, they will aspire neither to make nor dictate them.

This in response to a footnote inserted in the pampleth Le franc en vedette (1790) by Armand Joseph Guffroy (who, sidenote, was the man Charlotte Robespierre is proven to have had some interesting political connections to and was helped out by after thermidor. While there’s no way of knowing what Charlotte’s own stance on the topic was, it’s nevertheless interesting that the guy she was arguably closer to politically compared to her brothers also fought more openly for her political rights than they are ever confirmed to have done…)

I had proposed to admit women to the primary assemblies, to deliberate on the choice of municipalities, and I still believe that my two separate ballots and my posted ballots would disturb all the conspiracies. If one is wise, one will come back to it; and I predict that we will never have a public spirit, public morals, if women do not participate in the administration as I have proposed. The National Assembly admitted to swearing the constitution, those who were in the tribune on the 4th of this month. Why would we separate them from the public sake? The queen promised to raise her son in the principles of constitutional liberty; all French mothers must publicly swear this civic oath: without that, I repeat, no morals, no morals, no fatherland. Frenchmen, prove that you are men, by giving back to your wives all their dignity; French women, prove that you are worthy of giving birth to a race of free men.

Now, there’s of course no way to know if de Kéralio influenced Lucile’s own view on the matter (it’s a bit unfortunate that the diary she kept during the revolution doesn’t contain any of the poltical/philosophical reflections the one from 1788 has), but I think it can be concluded that, among the people she is proven to have had any close contact with, those who’s political opinions can be traced were more anti-feminist than the opposite. Sidenote again, but the feminist stuff contained in the diary of 1788 Lucile wrote while simultaneously hanging out with Sylvain Maréchal, a guy who in 1801 would suggest forbidding women from learning how to read.

As for what Camille’s view on the subject was, searching for the term ”femme” in Révolutions de France et de Brabant, I would say he comes off as neither a feminist (in the sense that he wants women to be equal to men) nor a misogynist. The most feminist moment from his side I’ve found so far is when he in number 14 he praises Théroigne de Méricourt and transcribes one of her speeches. The speech does on one hand not have anything to do with women’s right, but after transscribing it Camille nevertheless writes:

On the request of Mademoiselle Theroigne to be admitted to the district with a vote of consent, the assembly followed the conclusions of the president, who gives thanks to this excellent citoyenne for her motion; that a canon of the Council of Mâcon having formally recognized that women have a soul and reason like men, they can not be forbidden to make such good use of them as the preopinante; that he will always make Mademoiselle Théroigne, and all those of her sex, free to propose what they believe to be advantageous to the fatherland.

Edit: Camille speaks in favor of married women’s right to administration of property in 1793.

This fucking fandom

Ah fuck i can’t even fucking get sick in peace!! Just when i allow myself to rest a bit from posting shit happens and i find myself coming back here to rant or whatever i should call it at this point.

So the other day i was writing a post as a follow-up to this post : 

But i just deleted it, i was like uh yeah maybe i’m being a bit too harsh.. WRONG!! I knew this fucking fandom didn’t deserve no pity, my bad i should’ve just posted it. 

So in my follow-up deleted post i was saying how i didn’t want anyone to come to me with that bullshit excuse of “But we’re streaming, we’re basically working hard for those achievements to happen so why won’t Letter be about Army since we work hard for him” and honestly this is where the entitlement comes from. Some people believe that just because they stream, buy and post that means they have all the rights of ownership over the members, yes OWNERSHIP.

I then carried on by explaining how not everyone who fought to get Jimin on top wasn’t necessarily because they love him but for some they just wanted one member of BTS to be on top out of pettiness towards other fandoms and they needed to flex, didn’t matter which member as long as it’s a BTS member who will keep BTS’s name superior, and it so happened to be Jimin this time. 

Now you may wonder why tf am i bringing up a post i actually ending up deleting or actually didn’t even post? Well with Yoongi’s upcoming release.. I don’t even need to say it now do i? I guess you’re pretty much getting what i’m trying to say but let me just put words out here. 

I’m not here to talk about how close Yoongi’s release is to Jimin’s, this is something they probably went over with each other and with the company it has nothing to do with me or us or anyone else can’t really say much about it but what i can talk about is Army’s hypocrisy. When i posted about Yoongi’s D-Day announcement i clearly mentioned that I personally along with some other Army i know would either try to find or make a Yoonmin focused playlist, since Jimin promo period was cut short, we still wanted to keep pushing it while still streaming for Yoongi. 

Now what is happening is mfrs who are dropping Jimin completely to focus solely on Yoongi. When Smf pt2 dropped and the whole FACE album released, playlists were still encouraging streams for Smoke Sprite and On the street, we were still trying to keep the boys at higher ranks doing the effort to do a proper streaming for Jimin all while not dropping any other member. 

Now those people do realize that Yoongi will have his album trending from now till June, while Jimin won’t necessarily be able to still keep up with a proper promotion schedule because that would be interfering with Yoongi’s release, and fucktards couldn’t even bother keeping up with streaming or at least think about a Yoonmin playlist too. It infuriates me how for me despite being Jikook biased i’m still willing to do as much effort for Yoongi as i did with Jimin because i’m OT7 after all but assholes out there pretending to be OT7 yet became completely blinded. 

And for some fucking reason Jimin or Jikook biased Army (not solos) are all so excited for D-Day and preparing to stream for both, so tell me why tf can’t other Army do the same thing? Was messing with that one other fandom all it was for them? “Let’s get Jimin that #1 to piss them off” is that it? He worked his ass off to share something very personal with us, shared his struggles, a deep and dark part of himself just for Army to treat it as a threat to other idols and fandoms? 

I swear this motherfucking fandom is toxic and unhealthy, as Joon said “You changed” Aka you fucking suck! I don’t even know how to put anymore words i’m just trying to recover but God fucking dammit!

On 'But now I see' Chosen is looking at the colour gang talking to/having fun with each other (over-the-shoulder shot where he's blurry and close to the camera while they're in focus and further away, facing us), and on 'would I even change it?' it's a medium close up shot of Chosen's troubled/thoughtful expression as he ponders that question ("they are so happy - if I had a chance to change the past and give Dark and I a better life, would I even do it anymore if it meant risking the kids' happiness?").

Might share a face and share a last name, but... This shows Victim and Chosen glaring at each other - taking turns for their expression to get more intense (you can... invision what I'm talking about- like, narrowing your eyes more or getting more disgusted- it's quite common in animatics). Chosen on 'Might share a face' and Victim on 'and share a last name, but...'

One thing that bothers me about discussions about Azula's character is the way the fandom can't accept the canon fact that she wasn't loved?? People making excuses for her DAD who burns his kids when they disobey him, the grown ass man AZULON, her mother who ignored her when she was a kid, Zuko who only saw her a inconvenience to his path, Iroh didn't care about her, etc. Even Mai and Ty Lee left for reasonable reasons, putting above other friends over her. And that's canon. Not that Azula loved them all, sure, and she isn't perfect neither but why is so hard for the fandom to simply grasp it? (Just like they understand easily that Ozai mistreated Zuko badly?????) Fans prefer to put the blame on a unestable child/teenager than consider that her parents simply didn't care. Which is actually common on real life, sadly. (I am not including Comic!Ursa here because of the retcon) Azula deserves better, smh, I really can't understand how ATLA fans talk about "mental health representation!!!", "child soldier", "Traumaaaa!!!" and then reduce Azula to just "she's a PSYCHOOO" 😱😱😠😠😠 "she haluccinates!!!!" 😱😱 sorry for the rant but I had to share this here, have a good day

1: Owen gets hated on way too much “all he does is eat and fart” that’s all people THINK he does. In reality his character just hadn’t been fleshed out more and everytime they were going to actually do something with him they backtracked because he wasn’t important enough. Tbh in RR when him and Noah were teammates we got to see more of Owen being himself. He’s a simple man who genuinely cares about others and I don’t think his character is supposed to be as complex as others. Cause at the end of the day he’s a good guy who just wants the people he likes to be happy. Is that really such a crime??

2: nobody talks about how all stars ruined so many characters. For example, Lindsay used to be as smart as like a kid who didn’t know what big words meant. She had a bad memory and often wasn’t as in tune as everyone else. In her own world yk? In all stars SHE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO PUSH A CARTT. She built a bikkkkeee in season 1. And I do like the theory of “oh she just wanted to be voted out first she was tired of being on the show” but I don’t like that as an excuse. That isn’t a valid excuse for the shitty writing (also using the context the show gave us we can assume she genuinely wanted to come back and that everyone in all stars came back by their own choice so her wanting to be voted out wouldn’t make sense anyways) and it’s not just her everyone is even more stereotypical than they already were in season 1. We’re stereotyping characters who are already stereotypes. HOW DID WE GET HERE??

3: ok last one promise. My god this fandom is so annoying sometimes. I see literally any post about a character and people in the comments talk about a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTER which wasn’t even in the damn video. I saw a clip that was supposed to be a Noah and Owen thing and there was literally a comment talking about Cody. What. (THIS IS JUST ONE EXAMPLE OF MANY BTW) like why are you going on edits of like Gwen and then saying “Courtney’s better!” Like ok sure I like Courtney but this isn’t about Courtney show other characters some love!!

I have no idea what they are, I kinda just started drawing her abhdjsjsj but I think the two most notable animals he could conceivably be are probably a fox and a dragon of some sort (original I know) however I do want to give an honorable mention to my first draft of them, bcs goddamn I changed a lot abt her bsjdhsjjs. at first he was just completely a dog but I decided to give them those 3 fingered claw/hoof things, here's the very sketchy guy herself who inspired Ampen:

yeah snndjsn basically the only thing that stayed the same was the vague color scheme and the "hooves" changed from the hands to the feet. a lot of ampens physical design was just cool things I saw in other fursuits that I thought would be cool, like I just loooove the hoof feet, they look v cool and I just like them a lot, so I included them ! (I didn't in my first real drawing of ampen but then I did on their character sheet) same with the tail, I'm p sure at the time of ampens actual creation I had recently seen a dragon fursuit with that kind of tail and was obsessed with it, I tried so many different tails for him and none of them were looking quite right until I tried their current tail, and I love it . the dragon bit also comes out in her muzzle, it's a bit more pointed and sharp than a canine muzzle would be, again mostly just bcs I think it looks neat :] and I knew I wanted my fursona to have big ol ears from the very beginning, I didn't put them on ampen-rough-draft bcs I didn't start with the intent for him to be my fursona sbjdjdjs but anyways- the fur pattern took me a while to come up with, I started with just vague splotches of color in random spots, messed around with specific colors, I don't think I decided on the pink stitch mark things until like- the very end dnjsjjd I have no idea where I came up with it , I was just trying random things and hoping they looked right lmao-

I gave them glasses bcs . I have glasses . and I think it's cute and there aren't enough furrys with glasses :3 then added the piercings bcs I think they look cool and that's really it bajshjejskwks

anyways , now for the couple things that aren't visible on a drawing, I imagine her being like 5'4 MAX , he's pretty short . mostly bcs I am v short and plan to actually make ampen, and that's a height I could realistically get to accounting for the ears hdjwjdjjejdke anyways, I don't really have many other little facts about them since they're basically just me personality-wise, so make of that what you will ! I will however GLADLY answer more specific questions if you (or anyone else 👀) have them bcs it will give me an excuse to come up with answers abhdjsjdjsjjd

anyways- this is all to say that I'm in love with Ampens design and I really should draw him more often and also probably just develop them more tbh- BUT ! ty v much anon for enabling me to ramble about Ampen, they're my most specialest little guy and I love her <33

I'm kinda new to the Life Series and things around that topic AND I NEEDED AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABT THIS MAN

BigB was one of the first lifers I flocked to, and he could be said to be one of the least watched lifers (I think), but God, I love him!!

I haven't watched all the seasons of the Life Series, but he just seems so awkward(which is probably why I flocked to him)

I wouldn't be surprised if he was alone every season because he just seems like he would be. In Wild Life, I just feel like he didn't really know what to do with his videos, so he just stirs the pot just because he can. (AND I LOVE IT)

A lot of people think he's better as a lone wolf; but I don't know.. because I love the clips of Double Life since he actually has someone to talk to/forced to talk to. ALSO BIGB & GRIAN SECRET SOULMATES WAS AND STILL IS MY HYPERFIXATION(COME BACK PLEASE)

Another thing I want to talk about is clips- In every life series clip compilation I watch, there are either no BigB clips or like one. And this is kinda tying back into the Double Life statement but when he is actually with people, he's more likely to be clipped, because unlike other lifers, he isn't the type to say anything...too...crazy when just talking to his audience.

All of this to say; the reason why some of my favorite Life Series are Secret Life or Double Life is because you are pretty much forced to be social with the other lifers. And with someone like BigB, who isn't really used to interacting with them, I find his content even more enjoyable and funny when he's with other lifers. Wild Life was good, and I was actually rooting on the person who won! But with Wild Life, you didn't HAVE to interact with anyone. (Except for Trivia Bot)

And in the next Life Series, I hope it has more to do with social challenges for the lifers to face, so the more nervous people like BigB can actually not be alone.

PS - Can we have an episode where if someone loses all their teammates *cough cough* Grian, they just go find BigB to team up with??? Like both of yall don't have a team-

jesus, okay. bigb's fourth wild life session goes as follows:

bigb schemes with mumbo and grian to lure scott into their trap

cleo overhears. she rightfully gets mad at him

bigb tells her he was lying. cleo (RIGHTFULLY) does not believe him.

he says (TO HER FACE) that he's never done something like that.

SHE RIGHTFULLY REMINDS HIM OTHERWISE.

he goes crying to ren (wholesome box boys reunion!!!).

the way he explains the situation sounds like he deadass was going to help mumbo and grian and lied to cleo about lying. which is. hysterical.

ren ropes bigb along in his plan to kill and trap grian

while planning, bigb sees grian in the distance.

bigb lies about killing a pig for food, sneaks off and TELLS GRIAN. ABOUT THE PLAN TO KILL HIM.

bigb still ends the session allied with ren and martyn, neither of them knowing he snitched.

by the way both plots are executed about a million miles away from bigb. he doesn't even get actually involved with either scheme he's roped into. he literally misses the grian kill because he was too busy cooking.

and then he still meets with the Gs after all that, saying sorry to scott

and then he shoots pearl. which ends in him running away as she and cleo shoot after him.

all this to say: bigb is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. in the WORST WAY POSSIBLE. this man is not as bound to the world of roleplay and alliances which means he does whatever the fuck he wants. i stand by my theory that this man thrives best when he's a lone wolf. he does not fucking care about anyone else, the only reason he has allies is for survival!! he's just a silly guy who does what he wants!! his principles are unknowable!!! his moral compass is spinning!!! he thinks consequences don't apply to him and he's wrong but he's not going to act otherwise!!! all he knows is eat hot chip and lie. and he drives me crazy

Ok but like, any one else ever think about the fact that one of the leading things antis use to hate on James Potter is the fact his parents loved him and wanted him to be happy?

In a series full of boys who are legit being abused by their families they're like, "oh yeah James is the worst of all the male characters! He's a totally toxic guy because his parents loved him and that is a red flag somehow!" and I'm just over here like ..rlly? That's the hot take we're going with these days?

Like when did that become the thing? Isn't it so toxic to say that the only male characters who deserve our love have to be hurt and abused or have a tragic backstory to excuse them?

I mean maybe it's because the HP series is so full of abuse stories and even the hero is an abused boy that their takeaway is that male characters like James are more suspect and less likable because they had happy childhoods and good parents.

But like, what message does that send that boys/men are only deserving of love or compassion if they suffer first somehow? Because fr that sounds like some backward sj logic to me and more like something those fangirls of serial killers like Manson would say.

FYI that's how you get toxic fucking men by romantizing bad boys with trauma and saying if they're loved they're less deserving of people's time or attention or excuses for their actions.

I think we should start calling that logic out for what it really is. Like if someone's kink is torture porn and stanning abused male characters because they like to woobify them then that's whatever, I guess. But people seriously need to stop trying to pass that off as it's some new, original thing that makes them more woke than everyone else for stanning the "bad guys" because they seem more "complicated" and "misunderstood" than the male characters who just had a good family and a nice childhood and did what every teenage boy does hanging out with friends or playing sports and being social and stuff instead of being the angry misunderstood antisocial loner who just needs a girlfriend to fix him and make his life better.

How about instead of that we renormalize boys being happy and having good childhood experiences to draw from because that's not a bad or boring thing and it definitely shouldn't be a red flag for what makes a male character more toxic.

FIRST OF ALL i think that judd winick writes him better than anyone. i know some people dont like winick (i honestly have no idea why, ive always liked everything ive read by him but maybe im missing something idk!) but the way winick writes him is very important to me 😌 bc jason above all else believes in what hes doing and will not compromise his own ideals just because bruce is a little bitch boy! he kills with a Purpose and always knows what hes doing :) and winick always writes him as super capable and always one step ahead, plus the lost days showed that he doesnt kill freely, he kills the people that are either actively hurting others or are showing that they wont change! and i love him dearly for it 💕

also everyone that didnt like the newest issue of task force z is a coward! i wish that dc would give him one (1) other plot line besides "hes fighting with the batfamily!" but i think that this is one of the best "fighting with his family" stories because it showed him as Competent instead of just getting the shit beat out of him, PLUS it talked about a lot of stuff that the comics have been brushing under the rug for a long time. he actively called them out for always side eyeing him and underestimating him, AND how hes expected to change himself to be accepted by his family :(

HOWEVER contrary to everything i just said, i like the idea of him giving up guns. he has canonically said before that the reason he was using them in the first place was to piss off bruce (slay) so i think that its not out of character for him to be like "okay fine im not that mad at bruce anymore ill stop using them." plus in urban legends he even said that he still thinks people should die, i feel like giving him a weapon besides guns at least gives writers a restraint so that hes not killing without thinking (which he doesnt do!) and the only people hes killing are the people he really wants to kill :) idk if i explained that well lol! but i still hate that hes using crowbars. i know that he had that little speech in tfz that he wasnt technically killed by a crowbar but its still weird that hes using it as his weapon. give him a tire iron pls ❤️❤️❤️
